Heard a pop while driving and the side airbag cover doesn’t properly stay in place
I have been in an accident on [XXX] at this location [XXX] . I was driving the Toyota Camry 2007 model car. So my car got with another car. From the accident my front of the car got damaged heavily, even though the airbags didn't deployed. Whenever I start my car I can see a red triangle symbol I think it’s SRS warning light. Then I check my owner’s manual then I find out that it’s SRS warning lights. I don’t know what to do. Please let me know what should I do?
My dash board is sticky and uncleanable, making it very hard to see out the windshield at all hours day or night, which could potentially cause a crash. I have also noticed tons of people online with the same problem. This needs to be recalled or class action lawsuit.
I'm in love with Toyota. In Brazil I always had cars of this brand, but newer in manufacture. I recently purchased a 2007 Toyota Camry from a third party and at the time of purchase I did not realize the size of the problem. The car as always is excellent. But to my surprise your panel is simply melting. Just tap it and it dissolves in your hand. As it is sticky and sticky in the hot sun, its reflection almost completely covers the front windshield. Driving around a curve in the highway at about 50 MPH. Truck came into the lane. Driver panicked and pulled to the edge of the lane, lost control of the car. Car spun and both the front end and back end hit a concrete barrier. No airbags deployed. Impact hard enough to lose both fenders and unable to open two of the doors.
I had a rollover accident in my Camry on 5/13/2021. My brakes locked up which sent me into a spin and then eventually flipping over an embankment. Only one of my airbags deployed and it was the passenger door airbag. The rest of the airbags did not go off. Yes the vehicle is still available for inspection. My safety was put at risk because of the brake malfunction and subsequently because of the airbags not deploying in the manner they are aupoosed to. I rolled the vehicle I'm sure the manner in which h I wrecked would have caused all airbags to deploy. No I never seen a brake or a airbag light on my dashboard. No one else has inspected the vehicle components other than an insurance claims rep to determine my vehicle is a total loss. I'm unsure on who I could have look at it without compromising...

THE AIR BAG LIGHT STAY ON WHEN DRIVING
I ADJUSTED THE STEERING COLUMN WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT. WHEN I LOCKED EVERYTHING IN PLACE, THE AIRBAG LIGHT LIT UP. ALL OF THE CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL DO NOT WORK. I CAN'T USE THE HORN; TURN THE RADIO ON OR MAKE HANDS FREE CALLS. I TOOK IT TO TOYOTA AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE WIRING HARNESS FOR THE AIRBAG AND IT WAS AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR. THE PLASTIC PANEL THAT HOLDS THE AIRBAG ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE (BETWEEN THE WINDSHIELD AND THE DOOR) IS EXPANDED AND BENT. I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE AIRBAG OR IF THE AIRBAG IS EXPANDING INSIDE THE PLASTIC PANEL AND THEREFORE IS DEFECTIVE. THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD STARTED TO BECOME DISFIGURED AND A LITTLE UNEVEN - ENTIRE DASH BECAME VERY STICKY - LIKE IT HAD PARTIALLY MELTED. ( REPLACED THE FOLLOWING; FLEX PIPE, 02 SENSOR, SPARK PLUGS AND FUEL PUMP. FOR A TOTAL OF 1400.00) WHILE DRIVING ON I-95 AT 60 MPH, AIRBAG LIGHT, BRAKE LIGHT, ABS LIGHT AND SEAT BELT LIGHT ALL ILLUMINATED AT THE SAME TIME. TECHOMETER SURGED OUT OF CONTROL, ENGINE TEMP GAUGE DISPLAYED NO READING AND SPEEDOMETER WENT TO ZERO. OH AND YEAH, THE AC THAT WAS BLOWING VERY COLD AIR SWITCHED TO WARM OR HOT. ALL OF THESE ISSUES HAPPENED AT THE SAME TIME ON THE HIGHWAY AT 60 MPH. TAKATA RECALL NOTHING HAS HAPPENED SO FAR. BECAUSE THE 2007-2011 LEXUS ES WAS RECALLED FOR SOME REGIONS, I WAS WONDERING IF THE 2007-2011 TOYOTA CAMRY SHOULD ALSO BE RECALLED AS WELL, SINCE THE LEXUS ES IS BASED ON THE TOYOTA CAMRY.

THE FORCE OF THE REAR ENDING PUSHED ME INTO THE SUV IN FRONT OF ME, THE CAR WAS TOTALED. I SUFFERED A CONCUSSION, WHIP LASH, WRIST AND ELBOW INJURY AND LOWER BACK WAS HURT AFTER THE IMPACT. I WAS WEARING MY SEAT BELT THANKFULLY OTHERWISE I COULD HAVE HIT THE WIND SHIELD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH AND ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A STREET LIGHT AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 138,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
DASHBOARD RECAL AS THE TITLE APTLY SUGGESTS, MY CAMRY'S DASHBOARD HAS MELTED DUE TO THE EXTREME HEAT. MY WINDSHIELD HAS NO TINT AND I SOMETIMES FORGET TO PUT UP THE WINDSHIELD FOIL COVER WHEN I PARK. THE DASHBOARD NOW FEELS VERY STICKY AND WHEN I LEAVE THE CAR UNDER THE SUN FOR A LONG STRETCH, I CAN ACTUALLY RUB OFF SOME OF THE DASHBOARD'S RUBBER COATING SURFACE IF I TOUCH IT. IT ALSO HAS SEVERAL SCRATCHES DUE TO ACCIDENTAL HITS FROM FINGERNAILS AND SUCH, AND A LOT OF SCRATCHES FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD FOIL COVER (YES, THE DASHBOARD IS NOW THAT SOFT). I'M AFRAID TO APPLY ANYTHING ON IT AS THIS MIGHT JUST MAKE ITS CONDITION WORSE. MY LAST OPTION IS TO USE A DASHBOARD COVER TO HIDE THE SCRATCHES AND PREVENT THE DASHBOARD FROM GETTING DAMAGED FURTHER. MY CONCERNS WITH THIS OPTION ARE: WHERE DO I BUY...
I WAS DRIVING MY 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY LE ABOUT 55 MILES AN HOUR ON A THREE LANE INTERSTATE FREEWAY. I WAS IN THE SLOW LANE AND MY CAR SUDDENLY AND VIOLENTLY TURNED TO THE LEFT, CAUSING THE CAR TO HIT A LARGE RV IN THE CENTER LANE. THE CAR CONTINUE SPINNING ACROSS THE FAST LANE (IT'S AMAZING NO CARS WERE IN THAT LANE BECAUSE TRAFFIC WAS FAIRLY HEAVY). THE BACK END OF MY CAR HIT THE CENTER CEMENT BARRIER HARD (CAR TOTALED) AND I CAME TO A STOP ON THE INSIDE SHOULDER FACING THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF WHERE I WAS ORIGINALLY TRAVELING. THE AIRBAG DID NOT GO OFF AND THE LOCKING PART OF THE SEATBELT DIDN'T SEEM TO WORK. I COULD HAVE BEEN EASILY KILLED OR KILLED SOMEONE ELSE. I WILL CONTACT TOYOTA. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS.

I HAD A ONE CAR ACCIDENT & THE AIR BAGS ON THE SIDE OF THE DRIVERS DOOR INJURED BOTH OF MY LEGS. MY LEFT LEG HAD THE INSIDE CUT TO THE BONE & SKIN RIPPED OFF, COULD NOT WALK FOR 8 WEEKS, HAD PLASTIC SURGERY. LARGE INDENTED SCAR NOW WITH SWELLING OF LEG, OTHERWISE LEG WORKS FINE. MY RIGHT LEG HAS A LARGE HEMATOMA WITH SWELLING, NO BROKEN SKIN. THE PARAMEDICS FELT IT WAS THE AIR BAGS THAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM.. CAR WAS TOTALED, MAKE IS 2007 CAMRY, COMPUTER WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO PUT IN MAKE OF CAR.
