The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving approximately 20 MPH and making a right turn, the vehicle jerked twice. There was white smoke coming from under the hood. The smoke was thick and obstructed the driver’s view before the vehicle stalled. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the rod bearing had become inoperable, and an engine replacement was needed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 109,000.

My truck is experiencing the “hemi tick”. Upon research, this tick is a common defect in RAM trucks that was supposed to be fixed in later models. Not true. Not only do I need to pay thousands for replacing the manifold, it will be a problem again. The hot/cold engine melds the aluminum and steel, creating a warped or split manifold. To replace it is immense labor, hence costly fees, as the bolts are too small to adequately remove and snap. If drilling out, metal could get into other parts of the engine causing severe damage. I bought this used at $30,000 miles (approx). Per my mechanic, the manifold has already been altered once. They claim it’s a safety concern, which includes “loss of power … especially at highway speeds. This is in addition to the repair costa and loss of value. The earliest appointment is a month away. Yes,...

Exhaust manifold left and right warped. Exhaust manifold bolts broken left and right side. This causes exhaust leaks into cab of truck. This has been a problem with the Hemi engines for awhile now.

5.7L Hemi MDS lifter failure on a vehicle that has less than 96K miles. this is regarding the MDS system lifter and the cam shaft lobe slowly getting wore away until something fails. still available for inspection, i have not attempted to rebuild that cylinderhead bank yet. camshaft/lifter/valve failure at highway speeds could make the vehicle stall and potentially lose control if engine fully seizes or creates drag to the drive terrain. Dealership claims that the "tick" which is horrifically loud inside the passenger cabin on startup and less loud once the oil warms up. is "normal" for these trucks. I am planning on having a 3rd party mechanic give a second opinion before paying to have the engine rebuilt no warning lamps yet, I stopped using the vehicle after it was determined that the tick was indicative of engine failure on most Stellaris 5.7L hemis (challenger, ram 1500, etc.)

Check engine light came on While driving up hill and shortly after I lost all throttle response and cruise control was disengaged. Vehicle started to slow and began to be sluggish. Still no throttle response. Pulled over. Put vehicle in park and then drive. Drove for next 2 hours with no issue. Checked with dealership and truck is throwing codes p066d and P0523. Truck has been fine so nice issue but still throwing those codes.
#11540916 |
The vehicle has experienced multiple Turbo underboost code causing the vehicle to be put into limp mode without any explanation, Rhyme or Reason. The vehicle once this code is tripped places the vehicle into limp mode at which time virtually all power is lost this is now happened three different times with no explanation completely randomly the last time was when pulling a trailer uphill resulting in a near crash experience and being stranded on the side of the highway I had to force reset the computer by cycling the ignition to get the code to go away there was no problems prior to this code popping up or after. When this occurs it can be extremely dangerous when at highway speeds considering that the vehicle goes into limp mode and you're no longer able to go more than 10 miles an hour let alone if you're pulling a trailer...

The exhaust manifolds have cracked. This can lead to dangerous fumes getting into cab and extra pollutants to the atmosphere. It can also cause premature engine failure which could be deadly if it happens while driving. This is a known defect with this engine. Thank you
#11532509 |
The vehicle loss power why I was attempting to accelerate on the highway. I observed ticking noise from the engine that progressively got louder and began knocking noise that eventually caused the vehicle to under perform. I took vehicle to dealer and they informed me of a damaged lifter in cylinder #5 the damaged cylinder camshaft.

With only 68,000 miles on the vehicle the engine has experienced a cam failure causing a fire and explosion hazard. Gas backfires through the carb, engine shakes really bad at idle, and engine misses while applying power to the engine going down the road at all speeds. Ten thousands of hemi engine failures reported on online forums. Also had to replace both exhaust manifolds around 50k miles. The bolts cracked and gave way. Ten of thousands of this issue reported online forums as well. Truck was bought as a demo with 2k on the vehicle at Edie Chrysler Bismarck ND.

I was driving down the road on Monday, June 27, 2023 at about 50 mph. All of a sudden the engine just seemed to go into limp mode and slowed down rapidly. The power was gone and the car seemed to not go over 35mph. The after driving another 1/2 mile I arrived at work. When I tried to turn off the engine and restart it was difficult. There was a long crank and then started. I got the car to the dealership and they say it threw a ode of P0336 which is for a Crankshaft Position Sensor and I needed a new Reluctator/tone wheel and crankshaft position sensor for $2,300. In researching the problem on your site I saw there was a recall but my VIN isn't included. Why? I also reviewed many Ram forums and I saw many similar complaints by Ram owners having the same problem...

I purchased this truck brand new and am the original owner. This truck has been in the dealers procession probably over 50 times and in the shop probably close to 200 days. Most all repairs have been about computer, smog, or other engine problems. Chrysler has extended my warranty out into 2025 and extended the miles to 125k . I currently have 82k miles. It just was in the dealer 1 month ago and currently has check engine light on again. They state it is for a recall they have no current fix for and it sounds like their not even working on one. I was told that this years model with the 3.0 diesel will be the last. I went to then ask for a trade in value from a Ram Chrysler dealer, and was told they could only give me low auction value. I have an additional over...

I believe that Ram and It’s parent company have intentionally not provided a recall fix for recall z46. If Ram refuses to provide a fix for the problem, and I’m forced to drive the vehicle that could stall and crash at any time is absolutely a safety hazard. I’ve contacted Ram cares and was told that if I’m not comfortable driving the vehicle, to just park it and wait for a fix. This company not only provides faulty and unsafe vehicles but then forces its owner to drive them with no fix provided.

catastrophic engine failure due to the failed high pressure fuel pump, last year march 2022 my truck started stalling then lost all power to the engine the truck would not start . i took the truck to my mechanic where he Found no crank signal while engine cranking and sounded to be out of time. he Tested fuel flow from lift pump and found it to be correct. Tested injector weep line return flow and found no return this is normal ,Tested fuel flow regulator at high pressure pump and also found no return while cranking this is normal. These test indicated that the high pressure pump has fail. Installed new high pressure pump and still no pressure. Removed pump and noticed it had not rotated from its timed installed location. This indicated that the drive gear is not rotating the pump and there is internal damage to engine. this...

I’ve experienced 3 separate incidents with this truck that resulted in the engine shutting down while in transit as follows: 12/6/2019: engine stalled when accelerating up a hill. Used momentum to pull mostly out of traffic lane. Towed to dealer where crankshaft positioning sensor was replaced under an extended warranty associated with the Ram Ecodiesel emissions related class action settlement. 5/21/2021: engine stalled while towing a boat up hill on the interstate. Had to cross right lane traffic to the shoulder causing traffic behind and to the side to swerve and honk. Just made it to the shoulder. Diesel fuel was leaking. Towed to local diesel shop where high pressure fuel line was replaced at my expense. This would have been replaced under the aforementioned warranty had it been towed to a Ram service center. 5/28/2023: engine stalled while towing a boat on the interstate. Coasted to the right lane...

The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the contact was made aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel) after speaking with the NHTSA Hotline. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were not available for the recall repair and advised the contact to bring the vehicle in for service. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Exhaust Manifold bolt on passenger side broke leaking dangerous exhaust fumes. Took 2015 Ram to Dealership for repair and told they have had to replace several exhaust manifold bolts on 2015 Ram trucks.
#11524553 |
Rapid loss of coolant over rear of engine and transmission bell housing. Danger of overheating and fire. The cause of the rapid coolant loss is a common well known problem - turbo coolant pipe! Of course the small tube requires cab off the repair - design flaw!! Additionally, being a known issues and the part that fails is rubber, FCA has not issued a recall or TSB for the replacement of the rubber part with a much more durable siliconized part. My rapid coolant loss occurred on a busy highway and the vehicle required towing - not safe!!!! BIG design flaw and safety issue!!!!!

The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 75 MPH, he heard an abnormal sound under the hood of the vehicle before the vehicle started to hesitate. The contact stated that he was able to maneuver the vehicle off the roadway and the vehicle stalled. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the crank shaft and engine failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 175,000.

Both manifolds were leaking exhaust into the cab causing an unsafe environment for the occupants inside the truck. With only 68,700 miles on the truck it was discovered the passenger side exhaust manifold had several broken bolts. It was also discover driver side had cracked exhaust gasket. Now the engine ticks with just 68,700 miles on it. The mechanic is telling me I need a new engine. Truck was purchased new and had regular scheduled maintenance. I think these costly and sufficient repairs should be covered by the manufacturer. Too many failures in this engine to be coincidental.
#11514165 |
This engine and many others have catastrophic internal bearing failures. FCA has failed to accept and has voided many engine replacements. Please advise or look into.
#11513132 |
My engine light came on. I had the dealer hook it up to their diagnostic machine. It came back that cylinder 4 was misfiring. They looked into it a little farther and my camshaft and Lifter was no good. I bought this vehicle used and there had been no recalls fixed on it. We did have the airbag recall fixed. The Hemi 5.7 engines seem to have this problem and is well-known for it.

The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated that once the vehicle was started and shifted into drive while making a left or right turn, the steering wheel became difficult to maneuver however while driving straight, the steering wheel returned to normal functionality. The contact also stated that the steering wheel was intermittently jerking. The dealer was notified of the failure and an appointment was scheduled. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The check engine warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that previously, the check engine warning light was illuminated; however, the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the check engine warning light was reset however, and two days later, the check engine warning light illuminated again. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V167000 (Steering). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 146,000.

My RAM has been diagnosis with the same faulty manifold bolts as what seems to be numerous other 3rd and 4th generation RAMs and is resulting in dangerous exhaust leakage along with the potential for it to cause heads to cease while driving. I discovered the prevalence of reports of the same issue after my dealer diagnosed the issue while repairing a faulty air bag that has been recalled. The dealer quoted me $2,031.89 to make the repairs (see attached). In one forum alone, there are 100s of people that have cited the same issue and some have left their NHTSA complaint IDs: 11321983, 11317189, 11321434.

The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while attempting start the vehicle using the manual key, the vehicle failed to start. The key not in ignition message was displayed. The contact called the dealer but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the dealer. The approximate failure mileage was 110.000.

I seen that certain Ram1500 had a recall on the 3 way coolent valve. My Ram 1500 3.6L valve now went on me.Dealership said that my truck isn’t in the recall.

Catastrophic engine failure, resulting in a hole in the block!! My truck is like new, with less than 53000 miles, perfectly maintained. You could eat dinner off the engine it is so clean. This is the second time a 5.7L hemi engine has failed me. I leased a 2012 Ram and the engine had to be replaced on that( under warranty)! HELP. This is a MAJOR $12,000 repair which should not be taking place! Truck in shop now, but to Labor Day weekend, I have no paperwork at this time . Please let me know what you need. Thank you

The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated that an emission recall repair was performed on the vehicle; however, the vehicle would stall or enter Limp Mode and failed to accelerate above 30 MPH. The service electronic throttle warning light and check engine warning light was illuminated. The diesel particulate filter was also illuminated. The vehicle was taken to two different dealers. The contact stated that the manifold gasket, fuel supply, and turbo water feed lines were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that the local mechanic performed a force regeneration of the diesel particulate filter. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 105,000.

I have flawlessly taken care of my Ram truck. My check engine light came on P0303, cylinder 3 misfire. I had to replace the camshaft and lifters on both sides of the engine due to a continuing design flaw in the Hemi engine. This is a well known issue and it should be addressed by the government.
#11472667 |
Truck died (stopped) completely crossing a highway and couldn't move it from oncoming traffic without disabling electronic gear shift manually. No prior indication that there was an issue. It just stalled.
#11468246 |
The exhaust manifold screws are broken causing damage to the entire manifold. This is a common issue with Rams known as the “hemi tick” which results in the lifters ticking do to a a design flaw that doesn’t allow oil to properly lubricate the reservoir.
#11462801 |
The contact owned a 2015 RAM 1500. The contact stated that she observed that oil was spotting her driveway intermittently. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact checked the engine compartment and observed that the coolant reservoir fluid was very dark-colored. The contact observed that there was engine oil in the coolant reservoir. The contact had the vehicle towed to a dealer. The vehicle was diagnosed that the oil cooler failed to cause coolant to run through the entire engine system. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 84,855.

The vehicle has 58,000 miles on it. The vehicles has developed a manifold exhaust leak on the passenger side causing exhaust fumes to enter the cabin. Multiple online complaints have dubbed the issue the hemi tick. With so many vehicles exhaust manifolds failing and allowing exhaust fumes into the cabin I’m requesting a recall to have Chrysler repair at no charge to their customers an ongoing issue with their exhaust manifold leaks that could potentially cause harm or death to the occupants in the vehicle. I also have a 2010 Chrysler town and country with the exact same issue as my 2015 ram 1500.
#11459995 |
A warrantied part that was previously tried to fix my guess is prior to warranty due to the emissions lying from FCA and resulting ecodiesel settlement. So I purchased without that information being disclosed to me and know they are refusing a warrantied repair on the emissions component. Even thought the settlement covers said part.

I have yet to have this issue, but by how it handles anymore it may be soon. But I've seen a lot of people having to replace their entire top end of their engines do to the mds system. The system will shut off some of the cylinders. The mds system that chrysler puts on these trucks causes oil to be shut off to the lifters. Due to the lack of oil this causes major repair issues that keep the truck from running, such as cam shaft failure, and valve failure. If there was to be an mds failure when someone is driving it could cause harm to them and possibly other people because they would lose power to major components such as power steering. This could be a liability since I'm sure there have been several engine replacements on record with them that's under warranty and that's not including...

1) engine 2) yes 3) No 4) Police and fire chief...waiting on Insurance 5) electronic throttle control error light - repaired 1/20/22 driving home from work (about 35 mile drive) and 2.5 miles from home - engine made a LOUD/LARGE pop and the engine died....drifted to side of road where the inside immediate filled with smoke. Got out and the engine was on fire and within a matter of minutes the entire front end was ingulfed in flames. I find it interesting that I found and article from Ram "Ram Recalls 108,000 EcoDiesel Pickup Trucks over Fire Risk - 2014-2019 trucks...out truck is a 2015 Why we never informed of this potential deadly issue? My husband could have been killed as quickly as this all happened, and wiht no prior warranty, and for it to fully engulf so quickly https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a29622403/ram-1500-recall-ecodiesel-pickup-trucks/?fbclid=IwAR2_75MVCiq4C8Ab_ANM7XV3JNhbTGuM6UNSGTdyCM62tRMG9eLeFKemlmc#:~:text=Fiat%20Chrysler%20Automobiles%20(FCA)%20has,or%20any%20gasoline%2Dpowered%20trucks

Started have a ticking sound coming from engine compartment that will go away when truck runs & heats up. Now getting exhaust fumes in the passenger compartment that goes away also then the ticking stops. Learned that this is a very frequent issue with the Dodge Ram 1500's Manifold bolts braking and the heat shield vibrating and along with exhaust leak. i can't comprehend why this wouldn't be a recall issue due to the harmful exhaust fumes in the passenger compartment. this issue need to be looked into, and research shows there have been an extensive amount of complaints which have not corrected the issue..looking for next steps to take to get this done

The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving and attempting to accelerate to pass another vehicle, the vehicle went into limp mode. The vehicle was shaking and shifting gears erratically. The driver was able to decelerate to avoid an accident. The engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where the contact was informed that the vehicle was working as designed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.

I bought this vehicle used in December 2019 from J.L Freed Honda in Montgomeryville Pa. Truck had about 78,000 miles on it. I noticed a ticking noise coming from the engine when it was started cold. Salesman advised that it was nothing to worry about and is common with RAM trucks until they warm up. Sure enough within a minute the ticking subsided. I purchased the truck and the ticking has continued when started cold. I recently had the truck inspected and was advised that the ticking was a manifold exhaust leak that will only get worse over time and is an emissions issue as well as a safety issue. I started to research the issue on line and found that the leak is caused by broken manifold bolts. It is well documented in online Forums for Dodge RAM and it appears to be a known issue with the Manufacturer...

My vehicle has been wait-listed for the EGR re-call parts since August 17, 2020. The dealer claims they receive 1-2 repair kits a week. Other dealers within 50 miles say the same. As a CA resident, I can now no longer register my vehicle until the VB1/NHTSA 19V-757 repair is complete. In CA, a smog test is required every 2 years, I have completed this (PASSED), but my registration, although paid in full, has been held pending the re-call repair. I currently have an appointment to hopefully secure another 60 registration extension, otherwise, my vehicle would be subject to citation and/or impound based on incomplete registration. The dealer informed me that I am approx. 3-4 months away in the que for repairs. Basically, I need relief from the mandate within CA based on the unforgiving and unrealistic policy that California Air Resources Board(CARB) and DMV have imposed and lack of...

Since purchasing the truck early this year, the engine has stalled while in motion 5 times. Each time I was able to shift into neutral and start the engine again, and stay in motion. I have taken the truck to 3 different mechanics and none are able to figure out the source of the stall. My safety is at risk because engine control is lost while in motion, if I had to accelerate to avoid collision I would be unable to. Although the engine has started again every time, I am afraid that one time it might not. No warning lamps have come on and no engine codes are available, the truck makes no record of the sudden loss of motive power.

Engine light on. Code P26AB. 3 way cooling valve malfunction. Valve controls heat to core and defrost. Replaced valve with OEM part bought a dealership. Valve working providing heat and defrost working. Engine light will not come off. Code erased and light comes back on. Dodge dealership unable to determine cause. Is the valve triggered by an emissions issue that will affect the performance of the engine? Is it a software issue? There’s no recall on this issue and this is coming out of pocket. The vehicle is currently at a Dodge dealership and being inspected. So far there isn’t a solution.

Three time now a high pressure fuel line has cracked. I do not have the lines but have two dealer documentations of the failure. I would say that our safety was severly compromised as there is no warning light and fuel is leaking like crazy. The failure was notice all three times by watching the fuel gauge move like a speedometer and then seeing a vapor trail out the side mirrors. The vehicle was coated in diesel fuel on all three occurances. Dealers do not seem to think there is anything wrong....just bad luck. First occurance was 05/15/2018 Second occurance was 09/17/2019 Latest occurance was 08/09/2021 Vehicle was taken in 10/02/2018 because the smell of diesel was in the cab of the truck. All occurance are documented by a dealer except for the first. A small shop soldered the line so we could get home.

Intake manifold melted and smoked. No flame seen but lots of smoke. Check engine light came on and service Electronic Throttle light came on. I have had 2 EGR coolers installed in this vehicle. This was close to being a engine fire. If this is not fixed soon some ones Ecodiesel will burn a family up. NTSB needs to recall these vehicles ASAP

This problem is common for the 5.7l V8 Hemi RAM engine, as reported by owners. It concerns bolts that hold the exhaust shield to the engine manifold. These bolts are known to break off, causing a tapping sound that is heard while the engine is cool, soon quieting down as the engine heats up. The bolt also holds the catalytic converter in place. If not repaired, it can cause the exhaust system shield to break loose entirely, and also possibly causing the catalytic converter to break loose. The failure is well known to owners, and is clearly documented in the following Youtube video: https://youtu.be/cL3xNoKs9E4 titled "The most common Hemi Tick"

I was driving on the Interstate when a electronic short warning light come on, I pulled over on the shoulder of the road and my engine quit and smoke started to come from the engine. I opened the hood and the engine was on fire. I emptied my cooler, all the bottles of water I had and Cokes and managed to put the fire out with out damage to any thing or any one other than the engine, windshield and hood. Dealer does not want to take responsibility, oil cooler seems to be the source of the fire. Oil sprayed on to the fire blanket on the hood kept burning after the main fire was extinguished. My truck was running fine prier to the fire, I have been waiting for a replacement tone wheel (recall # W58) for 6 months. I have had the EGR (recall #VB1) go out twice...

I bought my 2015 ram eco-diesel August 2019 I try to get the recall done once and they said they will not install it I waited about a year and called again and they made a appointment for me But the recall with the crankshaft sensor went bad and I had to have it towed they installed the EGR cooler and did a programming to the camshaft sensor now I’ve got the vehicle back it’s hard to start it has no power I don’t understand this I just want the truck to be right I haven’t drove The truck in over a year I just want them to make the truck right thank you

The tone ring of my vehicle has failed causing the crank sensor to not work as designed. This has put my vehicle into a no start condition. I was lucky that this happened just after I returned home instead of while in the 5 lane traffic I was previously in. Had this happened a few minutes earlier I would have been in an accident.

A COUPLE OF MONTHS AFTER GETTING THIS USED VEHICLE, THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WITH A MESSAGE SAYING TO CHECK THE FUEL CAP. JUST TO MAKE SURE THAT NOTHING ELSE WAS WRONG, WE GOT A DIAGNOSIS FROM O'RILEYS & AUTO ZONE; THE O2 SENSORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. SO WE DECIDED TO SWITCH OUT THE O2 SENSORS AND THE FUEL CAP. THEN AFTER A WEEK, THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON AGAIN. SO WE GOT ANOTHER DIAGNOSIS TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM, IT DETECTED AN EVAPORATIVE EMISSION SYSTEM LEAK (VERY SMALL LEAK). THEN THE FOLLOWING WEEKEND, WE TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP TO SEE IF THEY CAN FIX THE PROBLEM. THERE WAS NO MECHANIC ON DUTY AS THEIR AUTO DEPARTMENT WAS CLOSED. INSTEAD, WE TALKED TO THE DEALER WHO SOLD US THE VEHICLE AND HE STATED, 'YOU CAN DELETE THE MESSAGE.' HE WAS NO HELP AT ALL AND...

MY VEHICLE HAS SUFFERED BOTH MAJOR SAFETY RECALLS, ONCE WHERE I WAS WITH MY SON AFTER PICKING HIM UP FROM SCHOOL ON A HIGHWAY THE EGR CANISTER SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUSTED CAUSING MAJOR DAMAGE THAT FCA SAID WAS NOT A MANUFACTURER ISSUE BUT A AFTER MY INSURANCE REPAIRED MY VEHICLE THEY MADE THE RECALL FOR THE FIRES. AFTER 3 WEEKS WITH ME VEHICLE FROM REPAIR THE ENGINE STALLED OUT WHILE I WAS DRIVING AT NIGHT ON A HIGHWAY, I HAD IT TOWED TO A DEALERSHIP AND AFTER THE INSPECTION WAS TOLD THAT THE TONE WHEEL WAS BROKEN AND THAT IT HAD CAUSED DAMAGE THAT WOULD REQUIRE A NEW ENGINE. I PAID CLOSE TO $7,000 DOLLARS TO HAVE THE ENGINE REPLACED BECAUSE OF THIS. A FEW MONTHS LATER FCA ISSUED A RECALL FOR THE TONE WHEEL PROBLEM THE TECH AT THE DEALERSHIP WROTE THIS IN HIS NOTES.

DODGE RAM 1500 ECO DIESEL 2015 LOSS OF CRANKSHAFT POSITION AND RING TONE WHEEL ! HAD A RECALL W58 TO FIX CRANKSHAFT POSITION WHICH NOW DAMAGED THE RING SENSOR WHEEL! RECALL WAS DONE MARCH 9, 2021, APRIL 5TH TRUCK STALLED IN DRIVEWAY AND WOULD NOT START ! HAD TO TOW TO DEALERSHIP! DODGE STILL HAS NOT RECEIVED THE FIX AND WANTS US TO PAY THE $2000 BILL ! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE SINCE THEY SUPPOSEDLY FIXED ONE THING THAT AFFECTED THE RING MAGNETIC MATERIAL ! RECALL W58 SPECIFICALLY STATED THAT 'THE TONE MATERIAL ATTACHED TO THE TONE WHEEL ON YOUR VEHICLE PROVIDES A SIGNAL TO THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR'.
