I was taking my family out to dinner when all of a sudden I kept hearing a rattle and something smacking on the bottom of my truck. I had people flashing their lights at me, so I pulled over into the nearest gas station and got underneath. To my surprise, the fuel tank was halfway hanging with the front strap. I looked where it goes and it's all corroded on the frame. I ratchet strapped it up in the meantime and turned back around and carefully drove home. I'm not sure how to go about my safety being at risk, I just know that a fuel tank falling/getting damaged because the OEM bracket strap on the frame corroding out is not something to take ever so lightly. Who knows what could of happened. The problem I guess is a big issue with 4th Gen RAM's all over the internet, so...
I have been waiting for brake and traction control components since April 2025, from the Chysler corporation. Latest e-mail states maybe parts in November. I have received these notifications since i initiated a complaint in September. Reply I receive: " Raw material/component supply shortage with supplier." This truck is not safe to drive, it is currently parked at the dealership waiting for parts.
In writing complaint against FCA for not fairness for some VINs with Ecodiesel doesn’t include W68. Following with recall W58 vs W68, my VIN was picked for W58, but never pick for W68 because my VIN is not included. Just complete service for crankshaft throttle failure and spent $2000 for this. I am very disappointed that crankshaft failure recalled do not cover because W68 was not included. I think those W58 for computer update failed to prevent break down due to loose magnetic issue. My VIN is suppose to add recall for W68 because FCA missed this. W58 failed to cover the damages with crankshaft which is mean computer doesn’t solve the problem.
The Starter of the truck seems to have "shorted" and started an electrical fire that burnt the wiring harness leading up to the battery including part of the battery cover. Drove truck on 100 mile trip. Arrived, parked. 2 days later went out to truck to drive home. Turned key, check engine light came on. Service electronic throttle control light came on. Opened hood, smelled burned smell. discovered battery cover and harnessed burned. Disconnected and removed battery. Had truck towed 100miles home. Went to mechanic who traced the burn down to the starter. He replaced the starter and showed me where the fire started. FYI I called the service manager at Berthod Ram in Glenwood Springs Colorado to ask if they would like to see the Starter, left message. THEY DID NOT REPLY.
Courtesy jeep dodge ram on Adamo dr in Florida does not have parts for recalls. They say they are forever back ordered. the ABS Control module which THEY advised is recalled on this vehicle but WILL FORVER BE OUT OF STOCK, so what I’m going to ride around with no ABS? Very upsetting. Paid them 56k for this vehicle originally and they can’t honor recalls. They tell you, just buy a new vehicle. Seems fishy.
Loss of power steering and simultaneous loss of speedometer readings. If one is down, so is the other. It happens mostly on start (intermittent), but has been known to happen while driving. First time was July 4, then it has happened at least 5 times since.
I can be driving down the road and the driver seat belt will unhook by its self . An I was pulling a trailer and the tailgate must of came open and I didn’t notice and the trailer jack dented my tailgate.
I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 35MPH AND I HEARD A THUMP AND THAN A METALLIC DRAGGING SOUND I PULLED OVER AND FOUND MY GAS TANK HANGING FROM THE REAR STRAP THE FRONT STRAP PULLED OUT OF THE FRAME AND WAS RUBBING ON THE REAR DRIVE SHAFT THAT WAS THE METALLIC SOUND THE T SLOT IN THE FRAME RUSTED OUT AND ALLOWED THE TANK MOUNT TO PULL FREE FROM THE FRAME MY TRUCK HAS NEVER BEEN USED AS A PLOW TRUCK OR OFF ROADED ITS A FAMILY VEHICLE WITH 76000 MILES THAT I BOUGHT NEW IF I WAS ON A HIGHWAY OR TURNPIKE DOING 55 OR 65 MPH IT COULD HAVE BEEN DISASTROUS

Flooded cab resulting from cab leak from 3rd brake light has been fixed & mold remediation twice, while under warranty. Leak has begun again, along with the growth of dangerous mold that results under the back seats.
Antilock Brake System module has failed, causing the light on the dashboard, along with the traction control light, to stay on. This covers up any braking issues, as I am forced to drive with this light on; as Ram is not selling the ABS module, saying they are under "Engineering evaluation". The problem with my truck cannot be fixed at this time & I am forced to drive an unsafe vehicle. Reported to Ram, but no action taken to recall.
When driving the vehicle at 35 mph the vehicle jerks locks the wheels up and the vehicle revs up for a few seconds before returning to normal operational rpms. My vehicle has did this numerous times. Took it to dealership and been there for 2 months and said it was fixed the next day the vehicle did the same thing. Been an on-going issue for a year
Was driving to store got to store came out vehicle won't start just keeps turning over. From others that have the same vehicle ecodiesel I'm told it's the tone wheel/crankshaft position. And that the cheap plastic housing chips which causes the no start. Also recall for high pressure fuel pump. And the closest dealership to me can't get my vehicle in for over a month and won't provide a loaner vehicle. I'm well over 2 hours from any other dealership. I bought this vehicle from a dodge ram dealership and was told "NO RECALLS PRESENT " they even had me sign a paper that stated that and gave me a carfax that so no recalls and no recalls ever. But turns out there are 18 recalls for this vehicle. Bought thus vehicle November 2023. So now this vehicle is sitting in my driveway not running and can't get it fixed...
Took my 2015 ram to the dealer because of ABS, TRACTION and BREAK light was on the dash. They said my ABS CONTROL MODUAL was bad and needs to be replace. Part is back order and can't find the part no ware!!!!!!! WHEN WILL THE PART BE AVAILABLE?
Upon startup the vehicle routinely fails to load the infotainment/center console. This failure prevents the operator from seeing the rear view camera. Nothing in the console comes online for several minutes and other times it loads just fine. It has occured on my truck more than 50 different times.
My truck has been at Dodge in fort Pierce Florida for recall number z46 and y63 for 8 months I have went over and above and beyond to call and try to get it switched over they're saying it's registered in Canada I'm getting no help they're acting like it's my fault they're not offering me a rental car or a loaner car I've lost my job I just need help getting something done maybe then purchasing it back I filed case numbers with no response I need help please
The engine seems to have failed. Yes it is available for inspection upon request. My safety was put at risk as the vehicle lost all power on the highway. Yes, the problem has been confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. Yes, the vehicle has been inspected, but due diligence needs to be done on the part of the inspectors to get at the root cause of the failure. No, that was one of the most alarming and scary parts is that there were no symptoms, warning messages, etc.
Gas tank strap went through the frame. Gas tank fell off while driving down roadway. Dodge will not repair since the vehicle had come from Canada. No warning lights came on.
The back up camera may or may not work. yes 2 It would be easy to back over a small child. 3 The problem was reported to a dealer and was told it could be a bad wire or a faulty radio system that would be expensive to repair.4 no 5 It began to mostly not work a couple years back
Good morning! I own a 2015 Ram Ecodiesel. I am not the original owner. I am in California. The truck is not under warranty and the FCC will not help me nor the dealership. A few months ago I was towing my horses in a trailer and the truck started to lose acceleration, started to over heat, black smoke was coming out from under the hood, and it almost lost power going up a hill. It was very scary and it almost caused an accident and my horses were terrified. I barely got it to drive up the hill and pulled over to safe place. The truck was smoking black smoke, smelled terrible, and we felt in danger. I took truck to dealership in San Luis Obispo CA. It was diagnosed with a bad intake manifold, bad fuel lines, bad egr cooler. The estimate in costs was about $7,000. Luckily...
The gas taps on my truck rusted out cause the gas tank to drop almost touching the highway. Re-call on 2014 and older trucks but none on 2015 and new with the same problem.
I HAVE A RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE OVER A YEAR AGO AND NO DEALER HAS THE PART. NOW MY PARKING SENSOR KEEPS COMING ON AND OFF. THIS NEEDS TO BE TAKEN CARE OF.
My vehicle experienced loss of power assist steering, as detailed in NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V167000 "Loss of Power Steering Assist If the vehicle experiences a loss of power steering assist, extra steering effort will be required, especially at lower speeds, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash"
I was pulling out from my street that connects to a two lane highway. From my street you can see if cars are coming from quite a distance away. There was a semi truck in the distance going east bound in the direction I needed to torn into. There was absolutely enough room for me to merge out into the east bound lane without the semi truck even being affected. I was now about a 1/4 mile down the road and the semi was still aways back. Then, my truck started to sputter and not accelerate and as this a two lane road there at this point was nowhere to pull over. The semi was now coming up quick due to loss of power in my truck. high pressure fuel system completely replaced after recall and it broke down again with same symptoms.
This is the 2nd Dodge pickup with an exhaust manifold defect. My 2004 Dodge Ram and now my 2015. This is a wide spread well known defect that should be corrected.
With only 68,000 miles on the vehicle the engine has experienced a cam failure causing a fire and explosion hazard. Gas backfires through the carb, engine shakes really bad at idle, and engine misses while applying power to the engine going down the road at all speeds. Ten thousands of hemi engine failures reported on online forums. Also had to replace both exhaust manifolds around 50k miles. The bolts cracked and gave way. Ten of thousands of this issue reported online forums as well. Truck was bought as a demo with 2k on the vehicle at Edie Chrysler Bismarck ND.
Dear Sir or Madame, The purpose of the communication calls into question New Jersey Turnpike Authority, Interstate commerce, The Public Safety and US Constitutional Law. On 3/31/2023, [XXX](me) was traveling on New Jersey Turnpike. Tickets are issued at the entrance terminal (for CASH commerce) and drivers pay tollbooth attendants at exits by either CASH or EZ PASS (transponders). At Exit 2, on New Jersey Turnpike, a Tollbooth Attendant was absent, 3/31/2023 at 0434. The fee from the entrance terminal, on the New Jersey Turnpike, to exit 2, on the New Jersey Turnpike, is $2.05. I stopped and waited for tollbooth attendant at exit 2 on NJTP. I proceeded on route for my own safety and that of my own property, including a newly-purchased light utility vehicle registered in a different state other than NJ, assuming the obstruction was construction because safety cones diverted traffic in one of the 2 outgoing...
Vehicle spontaneously starts when unoccupied as in garage and continues to run. If not found while running exhaust gasses will infiltrate attached house potentially causing death. The reason for vehicle starting is a defective car-fob that starts when bumped or dropped. Dealership says it cannot be repaired. This has happened several times. Problem checked by and discussed with dealer service.
Front Tank strap holder on frame failed. The front of the tank fell down and ripped the hoses and cracked fuel filter cover. The vehicle was running and spilled several gallons of fuel on the ground.
The issue described in NHTSA campaign 18V160000 is still present in model years later than currently covered. My 2015 truck has this same issue caused by the same defect. Noise was noticed while on daily commute on interstate, traveling approx 65 MPH. Upon inspection T slot bracket for the front fuel strap was corroded causing the fuel tank strap to fall out. Fuel tank was hanging by back strap only, did not contact the roadway, and the loose strap was making contact with the driveshaft.
The speed control system was working recently then stopped for no reason. It does NOT register info on the dashboard or engage. Completely out. Due to the recalls for so many others, this needs to be added to your list.
exhaust flange bolts break not rusty. causes to melt and burn def line and injector engine will not restart after 200 miles
Truck caught on fire
The exhaust manifold screws are broken causing damage to the entire manifold. This is a common issue with Rams known as the “hemi tick” which results in the lifters ticking do to a a design flaw that doesn’t allow oil to properly lubricate the reservoir.
A warrantied part that was previously tried to fix my guess is prior to warranty due to the emissions lying from FCA and resulting ecodiesel settlement. So I purchased without that information being disclosed to me and know they are refusing a warrantied repair on the emissions component. Even thought the settlement covers said part.
POWER STEERING FAILURE, NEED TO STRONG ARM AND MUSCLE IT IN ORDER TO MAKE TURN AT LOWER SPEEDS, VERY HARD TO TURN INCREASING RISK OF CRASH, DEALER SAID THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR STEERING AT THIS TIME. NO WARNINGS NO MESSAGE AND THIS STARTED SEPTEMBER 5TH 2021. FELT ODD AT FIRST WHEN TRUCK GRABBED THE ROAD WHEN TURNING AND HAS GOTTEN MUCH WORSE WITH TIME.TRUCK HAS 80000 MILES
THERE SEEMS TO BE WATER COMING INTO THE CAB SOMEWHERE. I GRABBED THE ASSIST HANDLE WHEN GETTING INTO THE TRUCK, AND WATER STARTED COMING OUT OF THE SCREW COVERS. I DON'T KNOW WHERE THIS WATER IS COMING FROM, BUT I AM SURE IT CAN TRAVEL DOWN INTO MY DASH AND POTENTIALLY CAUSE RUSTING AND ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS INSIDE MY TRUCK WHERE IT SHOULD NOT BE EXPOSED TO WATER.
WHILE DRIVING THE SHIFTING IS HARD AND DOESN'T SEEM TO KNOW WHICH GEAR IT WANTS TO BE IN AT TIMES, WHEN PUT ON OBD SCAN GIVES P2704 CODE, HAVE CHECKED PLUGS, FLUID LEVELS, REPLACED SPEED SENSORS, AND STILL GIVING SAME PROBLEM, ALSO I HAVE TRIED TO HAVE KEY FOBIC PROGRAMED AND ALL IT WILL DO IS START, WILL NOT UNLOCK OR LOCK WITH CORRECT FOBIC, GIVES CODE FOR RADIO FREQUENCY HUB, I KNOW THE RECALLS HAVE BEEN CHECKED BUT THINK THEY DID NOT TAKE.
MY DODGE RAM 1500 ECO DIESEL CAUGHT ON FIRE YESTERDAY AND BURNT UP. THERE WAS A RECALL ON IT FOR THE SEIDEL EGR COOLER
AFTER FUELING, THE GAS NOZZLE CONSTANTLY GETS STUCK IN THE TRUCKS FILL TUBE. IT TAKES SEVERAL MINUTES TO PRY IT OUT. THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH DODGE 1500 TRUCKS.
THE TRUCK WAS STARTED AND MOVED FROM ONE SIDE OF THE DRIVEWAY AND MOVED TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DRIVEWAY. THE TRUCK WAS TURNED OFF AFTER BEING MOVED. ABOUT 20 MINUTES AFTER THE TRUCK WAS TURNED OFF IT WAS FOUND ON FIRE. THE TRUCK WAS COMPLETELY ENGULFED AT THAT POINT AND HAD ALSO CAUGHT THE FRONT OF THE GARAGE ON FIRE. THE TRUCK WAS A COMPLETE LOSS AND THE FRONT OF THE GARAGE HAD SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE.*DT*JB
WATER IS LEAKING INTO THE LEFT HEADLIGHT HOUSING WHICH CAUSES THE TURN SIGNAL TO MALFUNCTION, SIGNIFICANT FOGGING AND CONDENSATION IN THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY UNIT WHICH REDUCES VISIBILITY FROM THE HEADLIGHT AND CAUSES AN ERROR MESSAGE. THIS ISSUE IS CONSTANT SINCE IT BEGAN AND HAS NOT IMPROVED. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE AND IS A DEFECT IN THE DESIGN OR MANUFACTURE OF THE VEHICLE.
KEY FOB WILL NOT START ENGINE. IF YOU UNLOCK DOORS & BEGIN PROCESS AGAIN, IT USUALLY STARTS. FOB BATTERY HAS BEEN CHANGED SO WEAK BATTERY NOT LIKELY THE PROBLEM. PROBLEM BEGIN BEGAN ABOUT A MONTH AGO.HAPPENS A COUPLE TIMES EA WEEK.
THERES A VIBRATING WITH THE TRUCK WHEN REACH 50 AND UP MPH AND SHAKES THE WHOLE TRUCK HAD EVERYTHING CHECKED AND DEALERSHIP SAID THEY SAW NOTHING
I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THE "DEATH WOBBLE" ANYTIME A BUMP IS HIT WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF 40 MPH +, ON THE FREEWAY THE WOBBLE IS SO BAD THAT RECENTLY MY TRUCK BEGAN SWERVING ALL OVER THE ROAD AND ALMOST WENT OFF-ROAD, UNTIL I COULD REGAIN CONTROL OF THE TRUCK. A BUMP ON A TURN IS MUCH WORSE. I AM SO FEARFUL OF THE UNSAFE SHAKING OF THE FRONT END WHILE DRIVING HIGHER SPEEDS THAT I NOW AVOID THE FREEWAYS AND TAKE ALTERNATE ROUTES IF POSSIBLE.

MY 2015 DODGE RAM ECO DIESEL CAUGHT FIRE, WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. ITS A TOTAL LOSS. I DID NOT RECEIVE A RECALL NOTICE BUT AFTER RESEARCH FOUND THERE WAS A RECALL. CHRYSLER TOLD US IT WAS NOT THEIR FAULT. THIS TRUCK WAS TAKEN CARE OF LIKE A CHILD, THERE IS NO REASON FOR THE FIRE.
TRUCK CAUGHT FIRE WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY. NO WARNING SIGNS ON DASH. STARTED TO SLOW DOWN THEN SMOKE STARTED COMING FROM FRONT OF HOOD AS IF OVERHEATING. I PULLED OVER TO EMERGENCY LANE, TURNED CAR OFF , THEN POPPING SOUND CAUSING TRUCK TO GO INTO FLAMES AND POPPING WITH BIG EXPLOSION AND BURNING RAPIDLY. I WAS ABLE TO GET OUT BECAUSE I HAD DOOR ALREADY CRACKED OPEN AND RAN AWAY FROM VEHICLE.
THE LEFT HAND CONTROLS ON THE STEERING HAVE QUIT WORKING. THE IS NO WAY TO RESET THE OIL CHANGE ERROR AFTER CHANGING THE OIL. YOU CAN NOT USE ANY OF THE LEFT HAND CONTROLS.
