The contact stated that he was unable to disengage the parking brake. The contact stated that the parking brake light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where the cause was determined to be the parking brake module was faulty and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the dealer informed him that the part was on backorder. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 55,500.
