I had multiple coolant leaks in the pass and I have to constantly replace the hose about every 2000-3000 miles Also my screen went out in my dashboard causing me to not be able to make any audio changes or station adjustments in my car Lastly whenever I get ready to increase my speed my car jerks back
Car cuts off while driving. Runs for awhile and will cut off again. Check engine light came on the first time codes says the fuel pump. Change the fuel pump. 2nd time it does it codes pOO88 and POOc6 comes up and changes the fuel pressure sensor. Car starts to stall and cuts off a third time.
When driving the car will stall out and die in the driving state. This occurs without warning from any sensor light error warnings. After acceleration to 35 it will sputter as if the fuel is not flowing, yet then it will correct but stall and completely die during operation while driving. Have had both the upper and lower full pumps installed within the last calendar yet still currently having the problem or issue. I've had my Ford Fusion SE ecoboost 1.5, 2014 in for service on 2 separate occasions a day apart for the same reoccurring problems. The first service there was the actions done related to recalls which are consistent with 20S15 A-C and recall 23E03 B. The reasons for my Ford Fusion 1.5 to have been brought to the Premier Ford, Waveland, Ms was as follows: The temperature overheat lamp light was jared, there was 3 leaks from the overheat, there was a Shutter and sounds that came from the engine, (LIMP*)and there was no fuel power through acceleration. There had been moisture located on exhaust before brakedown without having been driven for approximately 10hrs before brakedown. 2ed service was as follows: temperature overheat lamp light jared, no power through fuel to accelerate, and issues starting. This is a attachment to my last Inquiry.
On [XXX] ford premier out of waveland evaluated my car after I had to have it towed in due to overheating. The high temperature warning notification was lock and wouldn't change to normal after it cooled. I was not fully aware of my car overheating due to no warning other the the temperature overheat warning. A couple of days prior without driving it for 10hrs I noticed a moist to the exhaust pipe. When it broke down the engine had a misfire, a shake, and had not power to the engine to accelerate. There was 3 different puddles of fluids underneath the car. When I had spoke to the service department on this breakdown I made them aware of everything with one of the Mechanics witnessing the shake within the engine. There was a confusion on my part due to the sticker showing a 1.5l and my Insurance showing through...

The flex plate on my vehicle was cracked. Which damaged the transmission pump. We heard what sounded like a box of rocks which quickly got louder and louder we took the car to the dealer the next day. We had no other warnings something was wrong no engine light or anything. Had this plate broken completely we likely would have crashed and our small children could have been hurt. We took it to our local Ford dealer who diagnosed the issue, but would want over $6000 to fix the issue, on top of the $225 we paid to get the issue diagnosed. So for the forseable future we have no safe vehicle.
Fuel tank: Tank leaked when it was filled. Most of the time in my driveway but occasionally in parking lots unstil the tank level was reduced to approximately 3/4 filled. In addition fumes would fill the air surrounding the car. The automobile is being currently repaired at an independent repair facility. No other inspection other than repair facility. Initially no warning light but as it progressed the "check engine light" lit. Inspected the removed gas tank at repair facility and the caused of the problem may be a design flaw. the tank design on my vehicle (all wheel drive) is such that it has two zones and each zone has a fuel pump. The retaining plates on the tank are made of metal and therefore due to New England winters and the position of the tank and the location of the tank the retaining plates rust. Codes P0300 P0301 P0316 - My son was driving and approached a red light - his car began to idle rough and check engine light came on. Instructed him to park the car and we towed to a local mechanic. Cylinder 1 was misfiring and also had a mix of oil, fuel and possibly coolant in Cylinder 1. Apparently this is a defective issue with a 2014 Ford Fusion with a 2.0 Ecoboost Engine and also lawsuits regarding this. Ford dealership confirmed this is a sore issue with Ford and referred to Ford Customer Service --- no assistance and just advised to hold onto receipts in case it is a recall issue -- this is not okay at all. Ford has had plenty of opportunities to correct this with Ford Fusions but still have not!!!!! Very very very upset!!!
Car started making a loud noises from the back of the car when sitting idle in traffic. Noise got louder when opening gas cap. Once refueled the car failed to restart (turn on then shut off right away) and gave run, power, active message and engine light came on. After several tries and leaving foot on brake after pushing start and putting into gear right away the car stayed running. This leads me to believe this is the purge valve as many others have had the same issue. Ford issued a recall on the Focus and earlier model Fusions for this issue but has not included the 2014 yet.
Unknown but every time I get gas my car basically tries to stall out or does stall out. Has stalled out 2x while at a red light. Has been happening the entire time I have owned this car. Over a year and half
My engine light came on. Code is PP0456 - evap leak. Dealer found that gromet/seal on tank is failing. This part is not serviceable, so the entire fuel tank needed to be replaced. After dealer discount, the cost was $2242.24. Dealer is Larry H. Miller Ford, Mesa, AZ, phone (480) 530-9600. I have owned many Ford vehicles since 1978 and never experienced such an expense. In my opinion, this is a design issue since the rubber seal is not serviceable. This experience is causing me to lose faith in the Ford brand. Is FMC willing to assist with this expense? Please note - this vehicle has only been serviced at the dealership.
Mu 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium hesitates to start back up after fueling and needs to be repeated multiple times, pumping the gas pedal for a few tries before it eventually stabilizes, accompanied by a very intense odor of exhaust. Final Verdict: Emissions Purge Valve Assembly failure
VEHICLE'S GAS PEDDLE BECOMES UNRESPONSIVE/LOCKS WHILE IN OPERATION. TWICE THIS HAS OCCURRED AT TOP SPEEDS OF 65 ON MAJOR HIGHWAYS AND THANKFULLY, IN SITUATIONS WHERE I COULD PULL ONTO A MEDIAN. THAT SAID, THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION REGARDLESS AND SHOULD SUBSTANTIATE AN INVESTIGATION AS IT'S APPARENT I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO'S EXPERIENCED THIS. IN ADDITION TO THIS, THE VEHICLE REFUSES TO TURN OVER WHEN FILLED WITH GASOLINE.
AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 65MPH MY CAR STOPPED ACCELERATING AS I WAS DRIVING. I HAD TO CUT MY CAR OFF AS TO 'RESTART' IT WOULD ALLOW ME TO DRIVE A SHORT DISTANCE. THANK GOODNESS I WAS NOT FAR FROM HOME. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED AND I HAD NO WARNING OR INDICATION THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG. I JUST GOT AN OIL CHANGE 2 WEEKS AGO AND I KEEP UP ON MAINTENANCE ON MY VEHICLE. I WENT TO THE INTERNET AND RESEARCHED THE ISSUE AND I CAME ACROSS A BUNCH. THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE RECALLED BECAUSE THIS CAN CAUSE A HEALTH AND SAFETY HAZARD WHILE DRIVING.

THE CONTACT CONTACTED A CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE FUEL PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED OR NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 134,567.
PURGE VALVE SOLENOID BAD CAUSING CAR TO SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. GOT CODE P144A
WHEN FUELING THE TANK VEHICLE WILL NOT STAY RUNNING. ENGINE STARTS AND THEN DIES. THIS GOES ON UP TO FIVE MINUTES THEN ENGINE STAYS RUNNING WITH NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. CHECK CODES THERE IS P1450 STORED. OTHER TIMES IT HAPPENS AFTER DRIVING AND TURNING ENGINE OFF AND THEN RE STARTING A FEW MINUTES LATER, SOMETIMES THE ENGINE STUTTERS AND DIES AFTER DRIVING WHICH CAN BE IN A PARKING LOT OR MAKE TO THE HIGHWAY STOP AT A STOP LIGHTS WHICH GETS REALLY SCARY WHEN OTHER TRAFFIC IS AROUND. I LOOK UP MY VIN FOR RECALLS IT SHOWS NONE. IT STARTING HAPPENING A WHILE BACK JUST ONCE IN A WHILE ACCURRENCE, NOW EVERYTIME I FILL UP.
THE CAR WILL PULSATE AND SHAKE WHEN DRIVING, THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD COME ON. YOU CAN'T ACCELERATE, LIKE THERE NO ACCELERATING IN THEN THE CAR CUT OFF, WHICH IS DANGER. I HAVE HAD THIS CAR FOR LESS THEN A YEAR, I JUST PAYED CLOSE TO 1,000 BUCKS GETTING IT FIX FROM HAVING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS THAT MY WARRANTY DID NOT COVER. I HAD TO TAKE TO THE SHOP FOR THINGS THAT WAS OR RECALLED., IN NOW THIS. I THINK I WAS SELL A LEMON.

UPON APPLYING THE GAS AND ACCELERATING FROM A STOP OR IDLE POSITION AND SOMETIMES AT SPEED, MY 2014 FUSION WILL SPUTTER WITH JERKING MOTION WHILE LOSING RPMS AND POWER BEFORE STALLING ALTOGETHER. IT HAS HAPPENED MORE FREQUENTLY AND TODAY IT OCCURRED MULTIPLE TIMES, IN SEVERAL INSTANCES WHEN ENTERING TRAFFIC FROM A SIDE ROAD. THIS CREATES A SIGNIFICANT POTENTIAL FOR AN ACCIDENT TO OCCUR AS THE CAR SUDDENLY STALLS WHILE CARS ARE APPROACHING AND MOST LIKELY NOT ANTICIPATING MY VEHICLE TO COME TO A STOP. MY ONLY RECOURSE IS TO SHIFT THE CAR TO PARK AND ATTEMPT TO RESTART, WHICH THUS FAR HAS WORKED; THOUGH, THE CAR IS A BIT DIFFICULT TO START AFTERWARD. THERE'S A HESITATION TO START AFTERWARD, AS IF THERE'S NO FUEL, BUT NOT LIKE AN ELECTRICAL OR STARTER ISSUE.
GAS TANK MAKES A LOUD TAPPING NOISE AT LOW SPEEDS WHEN THE GAS TANK IS OVER 3/4 FULL.
1. WHEN PUMPING GASOLINE, THE LEVER CLICKS OFF EVERY 1-2 SECONDS, TAKING LONG TIME TO FILL GAS TANK, AND NEVER KNOWING IF OVER-FILLING. I MUST REPEATEDLY TURN THE IGNITION ON/OFF/ON IN ORDER TO SEE THE GAS GAUGE. 2. THE BODY DENTS EASILY.
TAKATA RECALL: THE CAR IS STALLING WHILE I AM IN DRIVE, WITH SPEEDS UP TO 70 MPH. IT ALSO WILL NOT START AFTER I HAVE PUT GAS IN THE TANK. I HAVE TO STEP ON THE GAS TO GWT IT TO START. THE CAR IS ALSO SHAKING BACK AND FORTH WHILE IN PARK JUST TRYING TO STAY STARTED. THEN IT WILL DIE. EVERYTIME I COME TO A STOPLIGHT OR A STOP SIGN I GO THROUGH THIS AND HAVE GREAT DIFFICULTY STARTING IT BACK UP CONTINUOUSLY.
THE PURGE VALVE WENT OUT ON MY CAR AFTER NEVER HAVING ANY PERFORMANCE OR EMISSIONS RELATED ISSUES. UPON RESEARCHING, IT SEEMS TO BE RATHER COMMON IN FORD FUSIONS. IS THERE A RECALL REVIEW WARRANTED AT THIS TIME? I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND STARTED HEARING A LOUD HUMMING, VIBRATING SOUND COMING FROM MY GAS TANK / GAS CAP AREA. IT CONTINUED TO HUM EVERY 15 SECONDS OR SO OVER THE NEXT 20 MINUTES UNTIL I ARRIVED AT WORK. THERE WERE NO OTHER ISSUES AND MY CAR SEEMED TO RUN JUST FINE. THIS IS, HOWEVER, AN EMISSIONS CONCERN AND SEEMS TO BE COMMON IN FORD FUSION FORUMS. PLEASE INVESTIGATE FOR A RECALL ALERT.

MY CARS ENGINE SHUTS OFF AFTER ACCELERATING WITH NO WARNING. NO ENGINE LIGHTS COME ON DURING THE PROCESS AND MY CAR REMAINS IN MOTION BUT CAN'T ACCELERATE. MY CAR IS STALLING AFTER IT IS DRIVEN FOR 15-20 MINS. ONCE THE CAR IS TURNED OFF, IF IT IS STARTED WITHIN THE NEXT HOUR, IT ALWAYS STALLS OUT. I SEE THAT FORD FUSION HAD A SIMILAR ISSUE THAT WAS RECALLED. THIS IS THE NOTE THAT I SAW ONLINE FOR THE FORD FOCUS RECALL, "FORD IS RECALLING NEARLY 1.3 MILLION FOCUS COMPACT CARS IN THE U.S. BECAUSE A FUEL SYSTEM PROBLEM CAN CAUSE THE ENGINES TO STALL WITHOUT WARNING. THE RECALL COVERS CARS FROM 2012 THROUGH 2018 WITH 2-LITER FOUR-CYLINDER ENGINES." I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIMES AND THEY KEEP DIAGNOSING IT AS A BAD FUEL SENSORS THAT NEED TO BE REPLACED. WELL, I'VE REPLACED THEM ALREADY AND THE SAME PROBLEM KEEPS HAPPENING. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FUSION. AFTER THE CONTACT FILLED THE FUEL TANK WITH 3/4 OF FUEL, A LOUD RATTLING NOISE WAS HEARD COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE NOISE SOUNDED AS IF THE EXHAUST MAY HAVE MADE CONTACT WITH THE FUEL TANK. THE CONTACT WAS AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND INSPECTED THE VEHICLE, BUT COULD NOT FIND THE SOURCE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT HIGHLIGHTED THAT THE FUEL TANK RATTLING NOISE ONLY SOUNDED WHEN THE TANK WAS 3/4 FULL AND BECAME MORE PROMINENT IN COLDER TEMPERATURES. A DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 86,000.
WHILE IN MOTION, MY 2014 FORD FUSION ABRUPTLY STOPPED ACCELERATING. THE VEHICLE DID NOT TURN OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO DRIVE FOR A FEW SECONDS (AROUND 20 SECONDS) AFTER DRIVING OUT OF THE PARKING SPACE, AND AFTERWARDS IT STOPPED ACCELERATING. THIS HAPPENED TO ME WHILE ON THE ROAD AND COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT TO MYSELF AND OTHERS. IT HAPPENED ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION. AFTER GETTING TWO DIAGNOSES FROM A FORD DEALERSHIP, THEY SAID THE ISSUE HAD TO DO WITH THE LOW SIDE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR. IT WAS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. THEY NEEDED TO REPLACE IT. IMPORTANT TO NOTE IS THE FACT THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS NOT ON BEFORE OR AFTER THE INCIDENT TRANSPIRED. IN OTHER WORDS, THE VEHICLE'S SAFETY SYSTEM GAVE NO INDICATION THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED IMMEDIATE ATTENTION. THIS SAFETY DEFECT IS IN BREACH OF THE NATIONAL TRAFFIC AND MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY...

SO I HAVE A 2014 FUSION, BOUGHT PRE-OWNED CURRENTLY WITH ABOUT 16,000 MILES. I RECENTLY NOTICED THAT MY CAR WHEN ACCELERATING PAUSES TO ACCELERATE. THIS IS ESPECIALLY NOTICEABLE TRYING TO GO FROM 0-60 AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. ALSO AFTER SLOWING DOWN AND HITTING THE GAS PEDAL IT ALMOST FEELS LIKE NO POWER IS BEING APPLIED TO THE ENGINE MOMENTARILY. I WAS STATIONARY, THEN IN MOTION BELOW 10MPH CROSSING AN INTERSECTION ON A CITY STREET AND TO MY RIGHT A VEHICLE WAS DOING 40+ IN A 25 AND FLEW OVER A HILL AND ALMOST HIT ME. VERY DANGEROUS SAFETY HAZARD WITH MY 2014 FORD FUSION. I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH MY CAR STALLING ON ME. TYPICALLY IT HAPPENS WHEN I AM LEAVING A PARKING LOT OR GAS STATION, PULLING AWAY FROM A STOP SIGN/LIGHT, OR REVERSING FROM A PARKING SPOT AND SHIFTING BACK INTO DRIVE. AT ALL TIMES I AM DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS, BUT NUMEROUS TIMES I WAS EITHER DRIVING INTO A BUSY STREET OR IT STALLED IN AN INTERSECTION WHERE I OR OTHER PEOPLE COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED.
