TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE TRACTION CONTROL, ABS, AIR BAG, AND VARIOUS OTHER WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING FAILED AS WELL. THE DEALER (KOCOUREK FORD LINCOLN, 2727 NORTH 20TH AVE, WAUSAU, WI 54401, (715)-298-3673) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 85,000.

ALSO, THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE WHEN DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO RESET THE SYNC MY RIDE FEATURE, BUT THE FAILURES CONTINUED. THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THE HACKER OVERRODE THE ADMINISTRATOR PASSWORD IN ORDER TO HACK INTO THE SYSTEM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,000.
