I HAVE HAD 2 DOOR LATCH FAILURES ON MY VEHICLE WITHIN 7 MONTHS OF EACH OTHER. THE FIRST ONE WAS MY DRIVER DOOR, 2ND FAILURE WAS MY REAR PASSENGER DOOR. I CONTACTED FORD MOTOR CORPORATION, AND THEY ADVISED ME THESE WERE SUPPOSEDLY ALREADY FIXED UNDER THE RECALL THAT THE VEHICLE PREVIOUS HAD. THE FIRST DOOR LATCH FAILED ON 07/06/2019, THE 2ND FAILURE HAPPENED ON 1/19/2020. THE FAILURE HAS CAUSED THE DOORS OPEN AND NOT LATCH CLOSE EVEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. THE CONTACT FELT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE. THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR OPENED AND WOULD NOT CLOSE. THE PLASTIC LATCH ASSEMBLY FAILED TO SECURE THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAS CONTACTED IMMEDIATELY. ADVISED BY SERVICE MANAGER TO WRAP SEAT BELT AROUND HANDLE OF DOOR AND FASTEN TO SECURE DOOR IN ORDER TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP TO ADDRESS ISSUE. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT NOTE DESCRIBES THE ISSUE AS AN "INSUFFICIENT LATCH". THE CAUSE NOTED IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENTS REVIEW WAS THAT THE LATCH ASSEMBLY "DOES NOT OPERATE PROPERLY". THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE DOORS DID NOT ALWAYS LOCK USING THE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE REPLICATED.
