CLUTCH PEDAL WILL STAY STUCK DOWN IN MANUAL TRANSMISSION 6 SPEED. INTERMITTENT, BUT REPEATABLE (NOT EVERY TIME BUT DOESN'T SEEM TO STOP HAPPENING) PREVENTS CAR FROM MOVING FORWARD WHEN THIS HAPPENS. CLUTCH IS DISENGAGED WHILE THIS IS OCCURRING. CAN HAPPEN WHETHER SHIFTING STOPPED OR WHILE IN MOTION. LIFTING ON THE CLUTCH PEDAL BY HAND (OR FOOT) WILL REENGAGE THE CLUTCH. HAS HAPPENED WHEN SHIFTING FROM 1ST TO 2ND IN AN INTERSECTION, COULD NOT PROCEED UNDER POWER IN ANY GEAR TILL MANUALLY (AWKWARDLY) REACHING DOWN AND LIFTING PEDAL WHILE TRAFFIC APPROACHING ME.
AUG. 11, 2019 WENT OUT TO TURN ON THE CAR AND THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. I GOT A BOOST AND THE TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION SERVICE NOW LIGHT CAME ON AND THE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON. I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW BATTERY AND THE LIGHTS STILL DIDN'T TURN OFF. I TOOK IT TO A FORD DEALERSHIP HAD THE FUEL CHANGED STILL NOTHING. NOW THE DEALERSHIP IS SAYING THAT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION BEARINGS. I DO NOT HAVE THAT TYPE OF MONEY AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW I AM STILL PAYING FOR THIS VEHICLE I'VE ONLY HAD IT TWO AND A HALF YEARS.
MAJOR PROBLEMS IN MY 2014 FORD FIESTA WITH THE DPS6 DUAL CLUTCH TRANSMISSION. AT TIMES YOU CANNOT GET IT TO SHIFT OUT OF FIRST GEAR. VERY DANGEROUS WHEN YOU CANNOT GET YOU CAR TO GO ABOVE 20 MPH BECAUSE IT IS STUCK IN FIRST. TACH IS HITTING 7000 RPM'S BECAUSE YOU CAN'T GET IT TO SHIFT. YOU HAVE TO KEEP SLOWING AND ACCELERATING UNTIL IT FINALLY SHIFTS. THEN THE OTHER MAJOR PROBLEM IS WHEN YOU SHIFT TO PARK IT REALLY IS NOT IN PARK. A WARNING LIGHT COMES ON THE DASH AND WARNS THE CAR IS NOT IN PARK EVEN THOUGH I HAVE PARKED AND TAKEN THE KEY OUT. IF I AM ON A SLOPE THE CAR WILL START ROLLING. YOU HAVE TO SET THE PARKING BRAKE BECAUSE THERE IS NO RELIABLE WAY TO GET IT TO GO INTO PARK. I HAVE THIS IS A KNOW ISSUE WITH THESE TRANSMISSIONS....
VEHICLE STALLS RANDOMLY AND DIES AT LOW SPEEDS, FORD WILL NOT ADDRESS IT AS A PART OF THEIR RECALLS, WAS TOLD I NEED TO PAY FOR ALL REPAIRS OUT OF POCKET, VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY AND SPORADIC OCCURRENCES OF STALLING. ENGINE AND WRENCH LIGHT WILL RANDOMLY COME ON AND OFF BEFORE THE VEHICLE BEGINS STALLING. IT WILL QUITE LITERALLY SIEZE UP ON OCCASION AND NOT BE ABLE TO ACCELERATE. VEHICLE WILL ALSO RANDOMLY DIE IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING USING GEARS 2-3.

ALSO, WHILE AT A COMPLETE STOP, THE VEHICLE ABRUPTLY JERKED AND GRADUALLY ACCELERATED WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT REFRAINED FROM DRIVING HIGHWAYS SPEEDS OUT OF CONCERN THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD LOSE ACCELERATION AND CRASH. WYATT JOHNSON FORD (646 THOMPSON LANE, NASHVILLE, TN 37204, 615-244-3615) WAS CONTACTED AND DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLUTCH AND TRANSMISSION FAILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN SHUDDERING FOR YEARS AND UNTIL EVEN THE LAST DAY THEY EXPLAINED THAT IT WAS NORMAL FOR THAT TYPE OF VEHICLE TO REACT WITH THE SHUDDERINGS BEFORE TAKING OFF. THE CHECK ENGINE LITE KEEPS COMING ON AND AFTER DRIVING FOR ABOUT A MINUTE CAR DOES NOT REVERSE AT ALL UNTIL CARS SHUT OFF. CAR RIGHT NOW IS NOT BEING DRIVEN BECAUSE ITS BEEN A SAFETY HAZARD FOR SOME TIME NOW. THIS IS MY ONLY WAY OF TRANSPORTATION. I NOW HAVE BEEN RENTING CARS WHILE I STILL PAY OFF THIS CAR TILL THIS DAY. THE FORD DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN LYING TO ME. I HOOKED UP THE COMPUTER AND GOT A LOW CLUTCH DUAL CONTROL SYSTEM ERROR. I GOT THE PART CHANGED OUT AND CAR CONTINUES TO HAVE CHECK ENGINE LITE. I USE THIS VEHICLE TO PICK UP MY DAUGHTER EVERY MONTH. FOR YEARS DRIVING THIS VEHICLE NEVER REALIZED...
THE TRANSMISSION IN MY CAR HAS HAD SHUTTERING, AND I HAVE LOST ACCELERATION AT TIMES. THESE EVENTS HAPPEN WHILE THE CAR IS IN GEAR AND I AM DRIVING. I HAVE HAD THE CAR IN THE SHOP 3 TIMES FOR TRANSMISSION WORK. THE CLUTCH HAS BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES, AND IT HAS HAD REPROGRAMMING SEVERAL TIMES. THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. I WAS TOLD I HAVE ONE MORE CLUTCH REPLACEMENT FROM FORD, THEN MY WARRANTY WILL EXPIRE. DOCUMENTATION CAN BE PROVIDED UPON REQUEST.

I PURCHASED A 2014 FORD FIESTA NEW IN JANUARY 2014. IT HAS THE INFAMOUS DPS6 TRANSMISSION. IT WAS EXPLAINED TO ME THAT IT IS A STANDARD TRANSMISSION IN AN AUTOMATIC BOX. IT DID THE SHUDDER FROM DAY ONE. I DIDN'T THINK THERE WAS ANYTHING WRONG BECAUSE I HAD DRIVEN MANY STANDARD TRANSMISSION VEHICLES OVER THE YEARS AND FIGURED IT WAS SUPPOSED TO ACT THAT WAY. IN JANUARY OF 2018, I HAD STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT ON A BUSY STREET IN COLORADO SPRINGS, CO WHERE I LIVE. THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND MY CAR WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF 1ST GEAR OR GO FASTER THAN 5 MPH. I PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND AFTER SITTING THERE FOR 20 MINUTES AND SHIFTED THE GEARS BOX FROM PARK TO NEUTRAL TO DRIVE, I FINALLY GOT BACK ON THE ROAD AND THE CAR SHIFTED BUT VERY SLOWLY. THIS WAS ON...
MY CAR NEVER ACCELERATED RELIABLY, ESPECIALLY IN LOWER GEARS. THE TRANSMISSION WOULD CONSTANTLY SHAKE AND SHUDDER. MY WIFE FINALLY REFUSED TO DRIVE IT ANYMORE AFTER THE CAR REPEATEDLY RESPONDED EXCEEDINGLY SLOW TO HER PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL WHEN TRYING TO CROSS TRAFFIC. SHE WOULD BE STOPPED, WAITING TO CROSS TRAFFIC. WHEN THERE WAS A LONG BREAK IN TRAFFIC, SHE'D PRESS THE GAS AND CAR WOULD CRAWL AHEAD MUCH MORE SLOWLY THAN YOU'D EXPECT WITH HOW FAR SHE PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL. ONCOMING TRAFFIC WOULD THEN CATCH UP TO HER AND HAVE TO SLOW DOWN UNTIL THE CAR EVENTUALLY MADE IT ACROSS. THIS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES WHEN I OWNED THE CAR. THE DATE I NOTE IN THE "WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN" FIELD REPRESENTS THE DATE I HAD THE FIRST CLUTCH REPAIR DONE ON THE CAR (AT 18,756 MILES).
WENT OUT TO THE CAR LAST NIGHT 17 JULY 2019 AND TRIED TO START THE CAR AND IT JUST CHIMED AND ALL THE LIGHTS BLINKED ON AND OFF. WENT OUT IN THE MORNING 17 JULY 2019 @0630 TRIED TO START THE VEHICLE AND THE CAR MADE LOUD CLICKING SOUNDS AROUND THE TRANSMISSION AREA. ALSO THERE IS A MESSAGE IN THE CLUSTER CENTER THAT READS "TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION SERVICE NOW"

ADDITIONALLY, THERE WERE OCCASIONS WHEN THE VEHICLE WOULD SPUTTER AND VIBRATE ABNORMALLY WHILE BEING DRIVEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GAUDIN FORD (LOCATED AT 6625 W ROY HORN WAY, LAS VEGAS, NV 89118, (702) 534-3094) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DUAL CLUTCH INSTALLED DURING THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS WAS FAULTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
DUE TO THE POOR DESIGN OF THE DSP6 TRANSMISSION, I HAVE ALMOST BEEN IN QUITE A FEW ACCIDENTS WHEN PULLING INTO TRAFFIC ON A CITY STREET AND THE TRANSMISSION SHUTTERS AND SHAKES SO BADLY THAT I LOSE POWER AND HAVE ALMOST BEEN HIT. FORD NEEDS TO BE HONEST AND UPFRONT WITH THE HARDWORKING PEOPLE THAT SHELLED OUT GOOD MONEY AND REPAIR THE PROBLEM!
CAR JERKS AND SHUDDERS WHEN ACCELERATING, AND HAS BEEN THIS WAY SINCE SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASE. SOMETIMES WHEN PUSHING DOWN ON THE ACCELERATOR, THE CAR DOESN'T MOVE FORWARD FOR AS LONG AS 7 SECONDS, WHEN IT WILL FINALLY JERK FORWARD ABRUPTLY. THE CAR FREQUENTLY BUCKS FORWARD EVEN WHILE BRAKING OR COASTING. FORD HAS 'REPROGRAMMED' THE CAR MANY TIMES AND REPLACED THE CLUTCH AND ENTIRE TRANSMISSION AT LEAST ONCE OR TWICE. THIS ONLY FIXED THE ISSUE TEMPORARILY, BUT IT RETURNED IN A FEW WEEKS.

TRANSMISSION IS 6 SPEED AUTOMATIC, CONSTANTLY SHUDDERS, FAILS TO ENGAGE, DISENGAGES WHILE DRIVING. HAS BEEN "REPAIRED" NUMEROUS TIMES AND ACTS UP WITHING A FEW THOUSAND MILES AGAIN. WHEN TRYING TO BACK UP, AS IN PARKING DOWNTOWN, REVERSE FAILS TO ENGAGE OR POPS OUT OF REVERSE LEAVING ME IN TRAFFIC. CAR IS NO LONGER RELIABLE AND IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE ANYWHERE DUE TO THIS TRANSMISSION.
THE DSP6 DUAL CLUTCH TRANSMISSION IN THIS CAR IS UNRELIABLE AND DANGEROUS. THIS IS EXHIBITED VIA FREQUENT SHUTTERING, STALLING, LURCHING FORWARD, AND LOSS OF VEHICLE POWER WHEN IT SWITCHES TO NEUTRAL AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. IN ONE INSTANCE THE VEHICLE LURCHED FORWARD INTO AN INTERSECTION AT WHICH POINT I WAS ALMOST HIT BY CROSS TRAFFIC. IN ANOTHER INSTANCE, TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THE TRANSMISSION SWITCHED TO NEUTRAL ON IT'S OWN AND I WAS ALMOST HIT BY A ANOTHER CAR FROM BEHIND.
TRANSMISSION HESITATES WHEN CAR IS IN DRIVE AND ADVANCING. IT IS DANGEROUS WHILE TRYING TO MAKE A PASS OR TRYING TO MOVE FROM STANDING ON A TRAFFIC LIGHT
CLUTCH FAILS TO CATCH PROPERLY WHEN CHANGING GEARS. SOMETIMES WHEN DOWNSHIFTING, IT WILL GO INTO NEUTRAL FOR A SECOND OR TWO, THEN CATCH AT A HIGH RPM CAUSING A SUDDEN LURCH FORWARD POTENTIALLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. WHEN IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, OR COMING TO A RED LIGHT TURNING GREEN, THE BRAKING AND ACCELERATING PATTERN CONFUSES THE TRANSMISSION, OFTEN GUESSING THE WRONG GEAR TO SHIFT INTO, EXACERBATING THE AFOREMENTIONED ISSUE. PARTICULARLY WHEN SLOWING DOWN FOR TURNS, AND THEN ACCELERATING DURING OR AFTER THE TURN, THE GEARS WILL GRIND AND FAILS TO PROPERLY TRANSMIT ADEQUATE POWER, CAUSING POTENTIALLY CAUSING A T-BONE ACCIDENT WHEN DOING A LEFT TURN OR CAUSING A REAR END ACCIDENT WHEN TURNING RIGHT ONTO TRAFFIC. WHEN CHANGING FROM FORWARD INTO REVERSE, THE CLUTCH FAILS TO CATCH FOR A SECOND OR TWO, AND WHEN IT CATCHES AT A HIGH RPM FOR BEING IN NEUTRAL SO LONG, IT CAUSES A...
AFTER 45000 MILES THE CLUTCH PEDAL STARTED TO GET STUCK ON OCCASION. AT 47000 MILES THE TRANSMISSION FAILED WITH THE CLUTCH PEDAL STUCK ALL THE WAY DOWN IN TRAFFIC AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS LEAKING FLUID. IT ENDED UP BEING THE SLAVE CYLINDER THAT NEEDED REPLACING. GIVEN THAT I DO NOT DRIVE A LOT THIS FAILED OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY WHILE MANY OTHER HAVE GOTTEN IT REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY AS IT APPEARS TO FAIL ON 2014 MODELS BETWEEN 40000 AND 50000 MILES.
TAKATA RECAL 2014 FORD FIESTA SE EVER SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE I NOTICED THAT SOMETHING FUNNY WITH THE TRANSMISSION. AT LOWER RPMS YOU WILL HEAR SOMETHING LIKE BROKEN PARTS CLANKING AROUND IN THE TRANSMISSION I ASSUME. WHEN YOU ACCELERATE IT DOES NOT KEEP A STEADY INCREASE OF SPEED WHEN YOU APPLY THE SAME PRESSURE ON THE GAS PEDAL, IN FACT IT WILL DOWN SHIFT INTO A LOWER GEAR AND REV TO A REALLY HI RPM .I WOULD UNDERSTAND THIS IF I WAS GIVING IT A LOT OF GAS BUT I AM NOT, AND AM FIRM ON THE GAS PEDAL. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE AND THIS PIECE OF JUNK SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE CALLED A VEHICLE.

CAR HAS BEEN JUMPING SINCE I GOT IT IN 2016, THE PLACE I GOT IT FROM SAID IT WAS NORMAL AND NOW THE ENGINE LIGHT AND TRANSMISSION LIGHT IS ON
TAKATA RECALL - MY FORD FIESTA THAT I BOUGHT IN OCTOBER OF 2017 ONLY HAS 47,000 MILES AND THE TRANSMISSION IS ALREADY GOING OUT. WHEN I ACCELERATE TO GO ON THE HIGHWAY IT FEELS LIKE I'M NOT MOVING AND MY WHEEL WILL SOMETIMES JERK TO THE SIDE. MY STEERING WHEEL ALSO VIBRATES WHEN I'M IN PARK OR BRAKING. I CAN ALSO FEEL THE VIBRATION ON THE PEDAL. I TRY TO TAKE IT EASY ON THE GAS BUT THE TRANSMISSION STILL JERKS WHEN SHIFTING GEARS. I KNOW THESE TRANSMISSIONS WERE RECALLED JULY OF 2017 AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER.
I WAS DRIVING ON A ROAD, APPROACHING A 4WAY INTERSECTION; THE CAR ENGINE STOPPED. THE SCREEN STATED TRANSMISSION FAILURE. SERVICE IMMEDIATELY. MY CAR RESTARTED AND THE SCREEN CLEARED. I PROCEEDED ON AND WITHIN APPROXIMATELY 100 YARDS THE SCREEN REPEATED THE TRANSMISSION MESSAGE. I THEN TURNED AROUND TO RETURN TO MY HOME AS THE DEALER WAS CLOSED. I ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT FORD MOTOR COMPANY. BUT IT WAS SUNDAY. MONDAY I AGAIN CALLED AND WAS TOLD THAT I HAD EXTENDED COVERAGE ON THE TRANSMISSION, TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER. I HAVE HAD REPEATED WORK ON THIS VEHICLE'S TRANSMISSION SINCE I PURCHASED IT IN 2015. I HAVE NOT BEEN CHARGED FOR THESE REPAIRS, BUT THE INCONVENIENCE AND THE POTENTIAL FOR FAILURE OF THE VEHICLE HAVE NOT BEEN ADDRESSED. I HAD SLID THROUGH THE INTERSECTION WHEN THE CAR CAME TO A STOP. LUCKILY THERE WAS NO ONCOMING TRAFFIC.
FORD COMPANY KNOWINGLY PUT FAULTY A TRANSMISSION IN THEIR VEHICLES. TO REMEDY THE SITUATION THEY THEN GAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THE TRANSMISSION, BUT WHEN TAKE YOUR CAR TO A FORD DEALERSHIP THEY REFUSE TO REPAIR THINGS THAT PART OF THE TRANSMISSION. THIS IS VERY MISLEADING TO CONSUMERS AND A HAZARD FOR ME AND MY CHILDREN SAFETY ON THE ROAD. THE GEARS SHIFT WHILE IN MOTION, WHICH HAS ALMOST SEVERAL TIMES CAUSED OTHER VEHICLES TO HIT ME. WHEN AT A STOP PULLING OFF IT WILL BARELY ACCELERATE OR GIVE A JERKING ACCELERATION, WHICH IS AWFUL WHEN PEDESTRIANS ARE NEAR. ALL OF WHICH HAPPENS SPORADICALLY ON THE HIGHWAY OR IN CITY TRAFFIC. THIS HAS BEEN A CONTINUOUS PROBLEM 2 YEARS AND THUS FAR I'VE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO THREE DIFFERENT FORD DEALERSHIP AND NONE ARE WILLING TO UPHOLD THE FORD WARRANTY AND/OR ADDRESS THE ISSUE THAT FORD KNOWS IS A HAZARD....

THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO MULLINAX FORD (LOCATED AT 1551 E SEMORAN BLVD, APOPKA, FL 32703, (888) 218-7505), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED DUE TO THE FEES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,000.

I GOT VEHICLE AT A WELL KNOWN CAR DEALERSHIP - USED. IT WAS GIVEN '120 POINT INSPECTION' SO THE CAR WAS IN 'GOOD TO GO' CONDITION. I WALKED OUT WITH LUCKILY SOME MAX PROTECTION INSURANCE FROM THEM, WHERE THEY WOULD COVER ANY NON- WARE & TEAR REPAIRS. GREAT DECISION AT FIRST, MAYBE NOT EVEN A YEAR IN AT ROUGHLY 80K MILES THE CAR AC DOES NOT GET COOL, WHEN AT A STOP OR SLOW SPEED THE CAR WOULD START TO OVERHEAT & IN STALL - THIS IS A MANUAL VEHICLE SO YOU WOULD HAVE TO DROP GEAR IN ORDER TO GAIN SPEED BACK AND COOL THE ENGINE. THE COOLING FAN WASN'T TURNING OVER ST ANY POINT, I REPLACED THE FUSE MAYBE 3-4 TIMES AND IT KEPT BLOWING OUT. TRANSMISSION HAD BEEN SLIPPING AND VIBRATING WHILE DRIVING WAS REPAIRED UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY SINCE I WAS AT 36,000 MILES. A WEEK LATER THE FRONT AXLE FELL APART WHILE DRIVING IN MOTION DUE TO A FAULTY BOLT.
MY VEHICLE IS A PART OF THE CLASS ACTION AGAINST THE POWER TRAIN. FORD WILL NOT PAY FOR THE COST OF THE REPAIRS.
PROBLEMS WITH CAR STUCK IN PARK AND NOT STARTING VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, HAVE BEEN STUCK TWICE FOR SAME THING
CAR STALLED IN MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. THE LIGHTS AND ALL WARNING BUZZERS STARTED TO FLASH THEN THE CAR LOCKED UP AND I WAS STUCK IN THE CAR AND COULDN'T GET OUT. THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER HAD TO JIMMY STICK THE DOOR TO GET ME OUT, THE DEALER FOUND THAT THE TCM TRANSMISSION MODULE WAS AT FAULT, AND WAS REPLACED, THE CAR WAS EXTREMELY UNRELIABLE AFTER THIS REPAIR. FORD REFUSES TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE EVEN THOUGH THE CAR IS UNDER FULL FACTORY WARRANTY. THEY ARE REFUSING TO ACKNOWLEDGE A SERIOUS ISSUE EXISTS. I KEEP BRINGING THE CAR TO DEALERSHIPS AND FORD WON'T AUTHORIZE NEEDED REPAIRS. I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED IN THIS LAST ISSUE.

COST OF REPLACEMENT IS OVER $2000 AT ALL AMERICAN FORD IN HACKENSACK SO DUE TO THE EXPENSIVE FINANCIAL BURDEN, I UNFORTUNATELY DECLINED TO HAVE THE SERVICE PERFORMED TO REPLACE THE DUAL CLUTCH SHUDDER.
