2012 ford fiesta check engine light on codes reading o2 sensors, catalytic intake, misfires, fuel injection, etc. I have had my fiesta at 3 mechanics all very known for there reliability all diagnosing it different issue recommending me to go to dealership which I was turned away because the recalls for the vehicle isn’t an issue for any of the possible diagnostics. Single mother of 3 now no vehicle, no money and no way of providing without transportation. Less than 150,000 Miles owned less than two years and the amount of money put into the vehicle ford should be ashamed. Shuddering and accelerating issue was told clutch and transmission issue but no help or actual known diagnosis since ford won’t diagnose the suspected diagnosis from any of the mechanics I have taken the vehicle to and they can’t for sure diagnose it until ford confirms the diagnosis since this is...

I just got the car in June 1st.2022 it's broken down 5x stopped in middle of us.19 North 2x it won't keep oil it's leaking out running hot blowed the hose loose 1x last week,it started weeks ago refused to start up and shutting down now, shuddering, it's at machanic shop now in largo, Florida he stated the car is not usable and unsafe to drive any longer the motor as well is gone and white smoke is coming from the muffler.the used car dealership truecars on park blvd.is trying to force me to keep the car I haven't driven the car in 2wks.this week will be 3 I have fixed Alot of things on the car in little time I can't afford to replace something that was damaged already my first to be car and it's been a bad experience.but I do know I will not put my life...

Seats move after adjusting and sometimes the malfunction check engine code comes on
Transmission Malfunction, this is the 4th time that I am having to replace the transmission. I am taking the car back to dealership to get the transmission fixed for the 5th time. The car jerks when it comes to a stop. Hard time accelerating or does not accelerate. I put the car in R and it did not budge at all, even turned the car off and turned it back on same thing. This car should not be permitted on the road. Does not shift gears properly, the RPM run very high. I am afraid to drive this car constantly, even after I get it out of the shop because I just know that the transmission will eventually malfunction on me again. Very unsafe and unreliable to drive.
While my 16 yr old twin sons were driving on freeway, a loud pop of pressure release from motor occured, and steam blew out from under hood obscurring their visibilty. they were able to pull over safely and call me. Upon arrival, after confirming they were ok, I checked under hood to see that the intake manifold had built up to much pressure for the PCV hose and the recirculating hose that connects to top of valve cover. Oil had sprayed out everywhere and car will not start. Ive lost compression in 2 cylinders now from the fast overheat. My childrens safety was severily compromised by this chain reaction of a failed PCV valve. OM SUNDAY MARCH 28,2021 MY HUSBAND AND I ATTENDED A AUTO AUCTION. WHEN THE DEALER BROUGHT OUT A 2012 FORD FIESTA. BEFORE BIDDING STARTED EVERYTHING LOOKED AND SOUNDED ALRIGHT. WE ENDED UP PAYING $3200.00 FOR A VEHICLE THAT THEY FAILED TO PROVIDE FAULTY PROBLEMS. CAR HAS A LIEN ON IT. AFTER DRIVING OFF THE LOT I CAME TO A RED LIGHT WHEN IT TURNED GREEN THE CAR STARTED SPUTTERING LOOSING FUEL AS WELL AS ACCELERATION. KNOWING THAT THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM FOR THESE VEHICLES. CAR JUST REJECTS FUEL AND FUEL PUMPS RANDOMLY.

THIS CAR HAS BEEN A DISASTER FROM DAY ONE. THE TRANSMISSION ISSUES THAT FORD IS AWARE OF HAVE ALMOST CAUSED NUMEROUS ACCIDENTS. THE CAR BUCKS AND CARRIES ON ALL THE TIME. RECENTLY MY FIESTA HAS BEEN SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING. IT IS A MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND I AM NOT STALLING. IT HAPPENS MOST OFTEN WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS OR SWITCHING GEARS. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS AND SCARY.

A DAY LATER MY CAR FLASHED A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WHILE I WAS 45 MINUTES AWAY FROM HOME ON THE HIGHWAY. CODES THAT CAME UP WERE ADDRESSED & THE VEHICLES CONDITION WORSENED UNTIL IT WENT FULLY INTO LIMP MODE WHILE RETURNING FROM AN ATTEMPT TO RESTART THE COMPUTER.

THE DEALERSHIP USED TO TELL US IT WAS THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR. THEY HAVE CLEANED IT AND REPLACED IT. THE CAR CONTINUED TO HAVE THE ISSUE. I TOOK THE CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD THEM TO CHECK THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY. THEY DID AND REPLACED THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY SAYING THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. THE CAR DROVE DECENT FOR ABOUT A MONTH THEN WE WENT BACK TO THE PROBLEM OF LOSING POWER IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION AND THEN ACCELERATING TOO FAST AFTER THE LOSS OF POWER. NOW THE CAR WILL REV UP WHEN IN PARK AND CONTINUES TO HAVE THE SHUTTERING PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP SEEMS TO NOT KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON.

I BOUGHT MY 2012 FORD FIESTA IN 9/2015 WITH APPROX.16,000 MILES ON IT. SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR, IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 5 TIMES (ONE OF WHICH FOR 26 DAYS). #1 WAS DUE TO THE DOOR LATCH. MY 10YR OLD WAS SITTING IN THE BACKSEAT WHEN THE RIGHT SIDE DOOR SWUNG OPEN WHILE I WAS MAKING A TURN. #2 WAS DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION. THE CAR WAS HAVING TROUBLE SHIFTING GEARS & BEGAN SHAKING, THEN THE LIGHTS INSIDE & OUT STARTED BLINKING AND THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. #3 WAS FOR THE TRANSMISSION AGAIN, WHICH LOCKED UP WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN I75 IN NAPLES THE EVENING OF 12/28/2015. THE CAR COMPLETELY LOCKED UP AND HAD TO BE TOWED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. #4 THE TRANSMISSION AGAIN. WHILE DRIVING NORTH ON I75 THE CAR STARTED MAKING A STRANGE WHINNY...
CAR STALLS WHEN DRIVING, USUALLY WHEN FOOT IS TAKEN OFF GAS PEDAL, IE WHEN COMING TO A STOP. THOUGHT IT WAS BECAUSE OF A FAULT WITH THE AC COMPRESSOR (WHICH HAS BEEN A PROBLEM SINCE THE CAR WAS NEW). COMPRESSOR WAS REPLACED IN JULY AND CAR WAS STILL STALLING SO RETURNED TO DEALER ON 9/16/16 AND WAS TOLD IT WAS THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY FAILING. WAS TOLD IT WAS AN 'UNCOMMON' ISSUE. DID RESEARCH AND FOUND THE 'CUSTOMER SATISFACTION" (RECALL) OF OVER A MILLION FORD VEHICLES FOR THIS ISSUE, BUT OF COURSE NOT ANY FIESTA'S. HAVE JUST FOUND MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS FOR THE SAME VEHICLE AS MINE WITH THE SAME ISSUE. I WILL BE CONTACTING FORD DIRECTLY BUT BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE TRYING TO GET MY DEDUCTIBLE WAVED FOR THE AC REPAIR I DON'T EXPECT MUCH. THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE PART FOR THE REPAIR WAS ON BACK ORDER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE REPAIR WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,143.
I WAS DRIVING ON HWY 301 AND WATER COOLANT LIGHT CAME ON. I STOPPED A FEW FEET AT FIRST STATION. WATER WAS POURING OUT MY RADIATOR. I GOT A TOW AND TOW TRUCK DRIVER SAID MINE WAS THIRD CAR IN A WEEK THIS HAPPENED TO IN STATESBORO GA AREA. PLASTIC FAN BROKE WENT THRU RADIATOR AND BLOWED THE HEAD GASKET. REPAIR MAN SAID PROBABLY IN 3 SECONDS FLAT. TWO WEEKS BEFORE HAD OIL CHANGES AND DAY OF EMERGENCY CHECKED ALL WATER AND OIL BEFORE LEAVING HOME. I AM A WIDOW AND THIS IS GONE COST ME AROUND 2,000 AND I AM IN BANKRUPTCY. I JUST WONDER IF THIS IS A RECALL OR SHOULD BED. TODAY, 1/19/2016 IS MY 6TH VISIT TO FORD DEALER SERVICE SINCE 2014 AUGUST. MY CAR HAS BEEN TOWED IN TO SERVICE LOCATION WITH CONDITION OF TRANSMISSION SHUDDERS EXCESSIVELY. I WAS NOT ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR WITH A IN-OPERATING TRANSMISSION. IT IS VERY SAD, I DO NOT FEEL SAFE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE NO MORE THAN 15 MILES IF I CAN. SEVERAL RECALLS FOR DIFFERENT PARTS HAVE BEEN ISSUED SINCE THE PURCHASE OF THIS CAR. THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT ENGAGE ALL THE TIME CAUSING THE CAR TO JERK AND MOVE FORWARD QUICKLY WITHOUT NOTICE AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CAR. I BOUGHT THE CAR LESS THAN 5 MONTHS AGO AND HAVE DRIVEN IT 2,580 MILES. THE TRANSMISSION AND CLUTCH ARE DEFECTIVE. IT HAS BEEN TO THE SHOP 3 TIMES, THEY HAVE ALREADY REPROGRAMMED IT, REPLACED THE CLUTCH AND NOW THEY ARE REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE. I'VE ALREADY REPORTED ON THIS SITE BEFORE REGARDING MY 2012 FORD FIESTA WITH CLUTCH FAILURE (IN DECEMBER 2013 AT JUST OVER 32,000 MILES). RECENTLY MY CAR WAS ACTING SLUGGISH AND I MADE AN APPOINTMENT A FEW WEEKS FROM WHEN I CALLED (WHEN AN APPOINTMENT WAS AVAILABLE). THEN ONE MORNING WHILE TRYING TO START MY CAR IT DIED AND REFUSED TO START. THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD CONSISTENT TRANSMISSION SHUDDER AND ENGINE RATTLE UPON ACCELERATION WHICH AFFECTS THE THE INITIAL ACCELERATION OF THE CAR. THE SPORADIC DELAY IN INITIAL ACCELERATION HAS BEEN AN ONGOING SAFETY CONCERN. MOST RECENTLY THE VEHICLE ALMOST STALLED COMPLETELY AFTER BEGINNING TO ACCELERATE INTO A MERGE. THIS VEHICLE HAS BECOME DANGEROUS FOR THE THIRD TIME SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT. WHEN I AM AT A STOP SIGN OR STOP LIGHT MY VEHICLE IF I DON'T HAVE THE BRAKE ON SECURELY I WILL ROLL A BIT BACKWARDS UNTIL I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BREAK. AS WELL AS WHEN I START TO GO AT A LIGHT OR STOP SIGN THE ENGINE WILL SPUTTER OUT WHILE I PUT MY FOOT ON THE GAS PEDDLE FOR THE FIST TIME SINCE STOPPING.
