Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION AND CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN FORD OF VENTURA, CA WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AND THE CLUTCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO CONTACT NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT AND HAVE HER VIN INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
