My Ford dealer replaced the defective throttle body on my 2015 F150 Ford truck. I was charged for the repair and Ford advised me that the extended warranty on this component did not apply to my vehicle. My trucks engine completely shut down while I was driving. I was very luck I was on a back road and was able to coast until it was safe to pull off the road. After restarting my truck, in a few miles, it did the same thing. Again, I was very lucky to still be on a back road and able to coast to a safe spot to pull off the road. I restarted the truck and made it to my Ford dealer a few miles away without further incident. Both times my truck engine quit, there was a warning light on the dash board that lite during the event. I believe it...
TRUCK SPORATICALLY FAILS TO START OR MOTOR SHUTS DOWN WITHIN FIVE MINUTES OF DRIVING. STARTER REMAINS INGAGED EVEN IN RUN POSITION, NEEDS TO BE CYCLED TO OFF POSITION TO DISSENGAGE. AFTER COOLING AT LEAST 10 MINUTES TRUCK USUALLY STARTS AND RUNS NORMALLY FOR A FEW DAYS UNTIL IT DOES IT AGAIN. DEALER CANNOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG AND REFUSES TO LOOK ANY FURTHER. SHUTING DOWN AT SPEED ON THE ROAD SAFETY HAZARD. ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO STEAR OR BREAK AFTER ENGINE SHUTDOWN. NO ENGINE CODES OR WARNING LAMPS.
My vehicle has a factory feature called "Hill Decent Control". this past week I have been getting a Default Message "Hill Decent default" and the accelerator pedal stops working. This has happened in the middle of the road (in traffic) for no apparent reason, where I have to stop the vehicle, turn off the engine, then restart. I have read on line where other Ford F-150s have experienced this same issue. I contacted ford, and they said they have no Recalls or TSB's regarding this unsafe issue. I now need to find a reputable shop to diagnosis the exact cause and repair needed.
The exhaust manifold rear stud broke causing leaking emissions to potentially be released into the cab of the vehicle putting the driver and any passengers at risk. This is a known problem with Ford's 3.5L twin turbo eco-boost engines and they are failing to recognize this problem. It has been confirmed that this is the issue and no other entity has been involved in this issue. There is no, nor has been any warning lamps or messages with this issue. It is available to be inspected if needed.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, the check engine warning light and service engine warning light illuminated. Additionally, the "Uphill Assist Not Available" and "Advance Service Tract Not Available" messages were displayed. The contact stated that the vehicle idled and was running rough while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle continued to run rough for 5 minutes and the contact continued driving; however, the failure reoccurred twice within 15 minutes on that same day. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 111,000.
Manifold bolts have failed my 3.5L Ecoboost. Fumes are consistently entering the cabin area because they are warped and leaking. It seems like a carbon monoxide safety issue. It is definately an engineering failure because of the configuration of the bolt pattern. I understand that it is a common problem for that engine.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, an abnormal banging and crackling sound was coming from the engine. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was able to coast the vehicle to an independent mechanic and upon inspection, the mechanic determined that the vehicle had experienced engine failure. The contact was then referred to the dealer for assistance by the independent mechanic. The contact initially called North Country Ford (10401 Woodcrest Dr NW, Coon Rapids, MN) and was given a six-week estimate for an appointment. The contact then called another dealer and was given a three-week estimate for an appointment. The vehicle was then towed to that dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed with engine failure. The contact was also informed that the main engine bearing along with both turbochargers needed to be replaced. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure...
After the dealer performed the 100k major service the engine began, periodically, to stall. The stall could occur while stopped (at a light or to make turn), while in park and only idling, or when the vehicle was in motion at less than 25 mph. If it stalled while starting a turn, then there was a serious risk of major collision from oncoming traffic. In said turn, more than a reasonable amount of time or distance was allowed to make the turn safely. However, if the oncoming vehicle did not recognized the vehicle was stalling, or had otherwise failed to properly evaluate the situation early enough then a collision would be likely. A scan of multiple Internet web sites found thousands of people, with model years before and after my vehicle, having the same or similar issue.
When I come to a stop, either at a red light or stop sign, and I have my foot on the brake, and come to a complete stop. The engine would idle rough and then would either die on me, or if I have time, I would put the driver selector switch into neutral and give it some gas before the engine quits. I have a OBD2 reader for my IPad, and when this happens, usually the codes P0365, or P0369 occur. I have had my truck into the shop numerous times to get fixed, and they have replaced the Cam Sensor for those P0365, and P0369 codes, but the problem still exists.
The oil pan is leaking oil and this is a prevalent problem with 2015 through 2021 years of many Ford models. The leaked oil can and is running back onto the vehicle under carrage and is a fire potential when coating the exhaust system which has high heat during operation. The problem has been reproduced and is recognized by the manufacturer. The later model years have had a redesign to attempt to correct the issue however the earlier 2015 - 2017 nothing has been done No warnings or messages are given that this issue is present. Some vehicles have had this repaired at significant cost as many as 3 times only for the issue to reappear again.
Just replace electronic throttle body for SECOND time at 106,185 miles. First time was at 38,460 miles. Both times replaced by Ford dealer at my expense. Recently contacted Ford with no response yet. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. TRUCK STALLS WITHOUT ANY WARNING. VERY DANGEROUS. I have never replaced a throttle body on any other vehicle I have owned in 45 years of driving!!
The headers are warped accoding to the Ford service garage which is a common ecoboost problem. Could cause carbon monoxide poisoning.
While driving, both around town and on the highway, all of the gears disappear from the gear cluster and when this happens my vehicle will not shift out of the gear that it is in. When pressing the gas pedal, I have had nothing happen and the vehicle shift unexpectedly or not shift at all. Instead of accelerating, it caused the rpm's to redline and I nearly went into the wall while on the highway. If the truck is turned off while the numbered gears on the cluster have disappeared then I have had problems trying to restart the truck. The truck will also have a warning pop up to "see manual" and warn you that the blind spot detection is offline. This problem has nearly caused me to be in several severe accidents and serious enough for me to spend the time typing this complaint. After diagnosis at Ford,...
Coolant line to turbo is leaking
My turbo lines and vacuum pump are leaking coolant
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, unattended the vehicle caught fire without warning. The contact was able to extinguish the fire. There were no reported injuries. The vehicle was towed to an independent lot. The contact called the local dealer but, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 119,925.
The Engine locked, up the check engine light came on and the truck was running a little rough. I stopped turned off the engine, restarted the truck the light went off light. I drove another 40 or so miles light flashed and engine stopped got towed to dealer and was informed engine was locked up. Truck has a little less than 90000 miles and has been maintained.
Exhaust manifolds have warped on both sides of the engine. The bolt holding the exhaust manifold has broken and caused an exhaust leak.
Went into 'limp mode'. Advance track, hill descent warnings. Wouldn't throttle. stopped going downhill. Known Throttle Block problem.
I was driving on a city street at about 30mph up a slight incline when the truck just seem to shut off. But it didn't die, the engine was still running but barely. It was running very rough, like miss firing on several cylinders. It would not accelerate, no change of engine sound or power, the throttle was totally unresponsive. It also felt as if the brakes were being applied slightly. A message came on the dash saying something about hill assist and another wrench message. I had no chose but to pull over in traffic before it quit. This was on or about July 18 then again today on July 26. This time I was one a city street down to one lane due to construction. I was barely able to make it to a turn off before it totally quit moving, with traffic backed up behind me. I...
While driving on the freeway the truck completely lost throttle, note electrical stayed and engine idled roughly during this time. Had to emergently pull to the side of the freeway while the truck coasted nearly causing several accidents and people swerved around the truck. Since this initial incident this has happened approximately 15 times on various roads and in intersections. Dealership is saying that some of the electronic throttle bodies (TSB 16-0139) were defective which causes this issue.
Sounds like an exhaust leak near the turbo possibly at the manifold. It is very loud and can tell there is a significant loss of power.
THE ENGINE IDLES VERY LOW TO WERE IT SHUTS OF AT A STOP LIGHT.
MY TRUCK WON'T START SOMETIMES AND TURNS OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING. IT HAPPENS EVERY FEW WEEKS. IT SHOWS A MESSAGE SAYING THE OIL I LOW BUT WHEN I CHECK THE OIL, IT IS FINE.
WHILE IN MOTION AND ON THE FREEWAY THERE IS POWER LOSS, SHAKING, ENGINE SPUTTERING AND BARELY HAS ENOUGH POWER TO GET OFF THE ROAD, HILL START ASSIST DISABLED, DECENT CONTROL DISABLED, SERVICE WRENCH INDICATOR, SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC. I POWERED OFF THE TRUCK, WAITING 10 SECONDS AND IT STARTS AND RUNS FINE UNTIL IT DOES IT AGAIN.
WHEN TURNING ONTO A ROAD AND STARTING TO ACCELERATE, THE TRUCK SUDDENLY LOST ALL POWER AND THE TRACTION CONTROL, ADVANCE TRACTION CONTROL, HILL DESCENT CONTROL, MAINTENANCE REQUIRED LIGHT ALL CAME ON AND THE TRUCK WENT INTO LIMP MODE. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD AND AVOID BEING HIT.
TRUCK FAULT CODE FLASHES AND TRUCK SHUTS DOWN INTO SAFE MODE. THREE TIMES IT OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY AT 70 MPH AND THE FOURTH TIME IT HAPPENED IN AN A SIDE ROAD DOING 35 MPH. EVERY TIME THE SAME THING HAPPENED, THE TRUCK SHUT DOWN IN SAFE MODE SHOWING FAULT CODES. I WOULD STOP, IT WOULD IDLE VERY ROUGH, I WAS NOT ABLE TO MOVE IT AS IT WOULD NOT REV OR LET ME INCREASE RPM. I WOULD HAVE TO SHUT OFF TRUCK, TURN IT BACK ON, IT WOULD RESET AND DRIVE LIKE NORMAL. TOOK TO COURTESY FORD FOUR TIMES TO DIAGNOSE AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING, I BOUGHT A CODE READY AND THE TRUCK WENT INTO FAULT CODE AND SAFETY MODE AGAIN, THE CODE READ P2112. FORD FOUND TSB 16-0139 APPLIED AND REPLACED THROTTLE BODY AND CHARGED ME $496.95 FOR REPAIR. 2015 FORD F150 WITH 58K MILES.
MY TRUCK ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WAS DRIVING THAN IMMEDIATELY LOST POWER AND SHUT OFF AFTER SENDING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEM REPLACING THE THROTTLE BODY IT WAS STILL DOING THIS WITH A RATTLE NOISE. IT GOT TO THE POINT WHERE MY TRUCK AT 52,000 MILES DID THIS EXACT THING AGAIN AND BLEW WHITE SMOKE AND A HOLE NOW IS IN THE OIL PAN.
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING VEHICLE AND DASH STARTED FLASHING "HILL START ASSIST NOT AVAILABLE", "SERVICE ADVANCED TRAC" AND THE WRENCH ICON STARTED DISPLAYING ON CONSOLE. VEHICLE VIBRATED HEAVILY SLOWED DOWN IN A "CRIPPLE" MODE NO MATTER HOW HARD GAS PEDAL WAS PRESSED. SHE PULLED OVER, TURNED THE IGNITION OFF AND WAITED 5+ MINUTES BEFORE RESTARTING. IT RE-STARTED WITH ENGINE LIGHT LIT. IN ORDER TO GET IT TO DEALER, SHE HAD TO DRIVE APPROXIMATELY 15 MILES. VEHICLE DROVE OK FOR A BIT AND THEN EXHIBITED SIMILAR BEHAVIOR 4 MORE TIMES, INCLUDING ONCE GOING UP THE CONEJO GRADE BETWEEN CAMARILLO AND NEWBURY PARK WHERE A BIG RIG HAD TO TAKE EVASIVE ACTION TO AVOID HITTING HER WHEN THE FORD F150 SUDDENLY AND UNCONTROLLABLY SLOWED DOWN. HAD THE SEMI DRIVING NOT BEEN PAYING ATTENTION, HE COULD HAVE EASILY HIT HER. FORD DEALER DIAGNOSED AS BAD THROTTLE BODY ON 11/2/2020 SAME VEHICLE HAD EXHIBITED...
OIL PAN REPAIR WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. BEGAN LEAKING 17,000 MILES AFTER INITIAL WARRANTY REPAIR. TRUCK CURRENTLY HAS 71,000 MILES. 2ND ISSUE IS PAINT OVER WINDSHIELD IS PEELING. IT APPEARS TAPE WAS NOT REMOVED AND PRIMER DID NOT ADHERE.
DRIVING ON HIGHWAY 3 DIFFERENT TIMES WHEN ACCELERATION STOPPED AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME. FORTUNATELY TRAFFIC WAS LIGHT WHEN VEHICLE DECELERATED. I TOOK VEHICLE TO MY MECHANIC AND HE HAD TO REPLACE THROTTLE BODY. HE GOOGLED PROBLEM AND SAW NUMEROUS TYPES OF SAME PART VEHICLE. CALLED MY FORD DEALER AND HE CONFIRMED THAT THEY HAD HAD TO REPLACE THROTTLE BODY ON CERTAIN MODELS BUT FORD HAD NOT YET ISSUED A RECALL NOTICE. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION TO LOSE THROTTLE SUDDENLY WHILE DRIVING. MY MECHANIC REPLACED PART, BUT FORD WILL NOT ADDRESS AS A RECALL ISSUE
ENGINE HAS STALLED AND GONE INTO 'LIMP' MODE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS 4 TIMES IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS. HAVE TO PULL OVER AND TURN TRUCK OFF AND THEN ON TO RESUME NORMAL FUNCTION. GOT ERROR CODES ABOUT HILL ASSIST NOT WORKING WHEN TURNING THE TRUCK BACK ON. TOOK TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE ISSUE. AFTER RESEARCHING ONLINE FOUND NUMEROUS OTHER PEOPLE HAVING EXACT SAME ISSUE AND IT THE RESOLUTION WAS REPLACING THE THROTTLE BODY. CALLED DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THAT MIGHT BE IT BUT DIDN'T WANT TO DIAGNOSIS IT AS THAT UNTIL THEY COULD REPLICATE. AGAIN VOICED CONCERN TO THEM THAT IF THE VEHICLE GOES INTO LIMP MODE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY THAT COULD BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. THEY SAID THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR MY VEHICLE BUT APPEARS MULTIPLE OTHER MODELS AND YEARS HAVE HAD THIS RECALL ALREADY DONE.

THE EXHAUST MANIFOLDS HAVE WARPED CAUSING STUDS TO BREAK LEADING TO AN EXHAUST LEAK. THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE ENGINES. IT PRODUCES A SQUEALING NOISE UNDER ACCELERATION
TRUCK ENGINE GOES TO ROUGH IDLE WHILE DRIVING, HAVE TO SHUT ENGINE OFF, RESTART. NEVER KNOW WHEN THIS MIGHT HAPPEN OR AT WHAT SPEED. LOCAL FORD DEALER UNABLE TO FIND PROBLEM.HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES
WHILE DRIVING ON CROWDED HIGHWAY IN BOSTON AREA, TRUCK LOST ENGINE POWER. DASH GAVE FOLLOWING WARNINGS: SEE MANUAL, SERVICE ADVANCETRAC, HILL DESCENT CONTROL FAULT, HILL START ASSIST NOT AVAILABLE. AFTER EMERGENTLY SWITCHING LANES WITH NO ENGINE POWER, I SHUT THE TRUCK DOWN, PAUSED, AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE. THIS HAPPENED ~20 TIMES BEFORE I COULD GET IT FIXED. THE PROBLEM WAS A FAULTY THROTTLE BODY. THIS WAS NOT COVERED BY FORD EVEN THOUGH I CONSIDER THIS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD.
WHEN ACCELERATING , THERE IS A LOUD CHIRPING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE EXHAUST MANIFOLDS HAVE WARPED. VERY ANNOYING SOUND AND LOSS OF POWER. SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM AMONG OTHER OWNERS OF THE 3.5 ECO BOOST. VERY DISAPPOINTING.
WHILE TURNING AND ACCELERATING ONTO A TWO LANE HIGHWAY WHILE TOWING, THERE WAS A SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER AND THE INSTRUMENT CONSOLE DISPLAYED WARNING MESSAGE, "SERVICE ADVANCETRAC." AS I WAS ACCELERATING TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC AT THE TIME OF POWER LOSS, AN UNSAFE CONDITION WAS CREATED AS THE SEMI-TRUCK I PULLED IN FRONT OF NOW HAD TO MAKE EVASIVE MOVEMENTS TO AVOID A COLLISION WITH MY NOW DISABLED TRUCK AND TRAILER IN THE ROADWAY. POWER CAME BACK ON WITH RESTART OF THE TRUCK, BUT ONLY FOR A FEW MINUTES BEFORE THE SAME LOSS OF POWER AND FAULT MESSAGE. THE CODE P2112 WAS PULLED FROM THE OBD2 READER AND IT WAS DETERMINED THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE PROBLEM WAS IN FACT FIXED WITH REPLACEMENT OF THE THROTTLE BODY.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY PULLING A TRAILER THE VEHICLE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON WITH A WARNING THAT STATED "SERVICE ADVANCE TRACK AND HILL ASSIST IS NOT AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE THEN LOST ALL POWER CAUSING ME TRY ATTEMPT TO CROSS TRAFFIC TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITHOUT ANY ENGINE POWER. AFTER STOPPING THE ENGINE WAS SHUDDERING. THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE TOWED INTO A DEALER TO BE FIXED.THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY HAD FAILED CAUSING THE ENGINE TO GO INTO "LIMP" MODE(WHAT EVER THAT IS). THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION TO HAVE HAPPEN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS
ENGINE LOST POWER SUDDENLY AND STALLED, I HAD A WRENCH LAMP COME UP WITH THE FOLLOWING FAULTS: SERVICE ADVANCETRAC/ HILL DESCENT CONTROL FAULT. THIS HAPPENED ON A BRIDGE ON A HIGHWAY WHEN I WAS DRIVING WITH MY FAMILY. I PRESSED THE THROTTLE BUT THE ENGINE WENT INTO "LIMP" MODE, NO RESPONSE FROM THE THROTTLE WHATSOEVER. ALMOST GOT HIT BY A SEMI TRUCK FROM THE REAR. TOOK IT TO FORD, FOR 2 WEEKS THEY HAD NO IDEA WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT. THEY PERFORMED A SOFTWARE UPDATE AND SAID IT'S GOOD TO GO. THE SAME PROBLEM HAPPENED AGAIN 2 DAYS LATER WHEN I WAS CLOSE TO WORK. STOPPED BY A LOCAL AUTOMOTIVE SHOP SINCE I DIDN'T WANT TO DRIVE IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. WE READ THE CODE AND IT SHOWED A "P2112 THROTTLE ACTUATOR CONTROL SYSTEM STUCK CLOSED". I GOT A NEW THROTTLE BODY INSTALLED FOR 376$, AND NEVER HAD THE...
WHEN TRUCK SITS OVERNIGHT AND I START IT , IT EMITS A BLUISH WHITE SMOKE FOR 5-15 SECONDS. I UNDERSTAND THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS AND THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER CAN LEAK INTO THE BOOSTER ,BUT MY VEHICLE VIN NUMBER IS NOT INCLUDED. IS MY VEHICLE SAFE TO DRIVE?
1. 11/09/2019 VEHICLE WENT INTO "LIMP MODE" WHEN ENTERING THE I-84 FREEWAY FROM A FREEWAY ON-RAMP AT WOOD VILLAGE, OREGON. VEHICLE LOST POWER, WOULD NOT EXCEED 5 MPH, DASH LIGHTS (WRENCH LIGHT) CAME ON. VEHICLE PARTIALLY BLOCKED TRAFFIC AT INTERSECTION OF FREEWAY AND ON RAMP CAUSING A DANGEROUS TRAFFIC PROBLEM FOR OVER 1 HOUR BEFORE TOW TRUCK ARRIVED.. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO FORD DEALER. DIAGNOSTIC CODES WERE NOT AVAILABLE UPON RESTART AT DEALER TO DETERMINE THE PROBLEM, NO REPAIR WAS MADE. HOW CAN FORD HAVE A "LIMP MODE" WHICH ESSENTIALLY SHUTS DOWN THE VEHICLE (STUTTERS, STALLS, NO POWER) WITHOUT THE ABILITY TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM WHEN DIAGNOSTIC CODES AUTOMATICALLY RESET AT NEXT STARTUP? 2. 07/02/20 VEHICLE WENT INTO "LIMP MODE" WHILE DRIVING ON BUSY COUNTY ROAD NEAR MY HOME. USING COUNTY ROADS AND CITY STREETS, VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN IN "LIMP MODE" AT LOW SPEED (5 MPH OR LESS FOR 7...
I HAVE 2015 F150 WITH THE ECO BOOST 2.7 LITER ENGINE. IT HAS ROUGHLY 60,000 MILES. FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS WHEN IT SITS OVERNIGHT AND YOU START IT IN THE MORNING IT EMITS A BLUISH WHITE SMOKE FOR ABOUT 5-10 SECONDS. I DID SEE WHERE THERE IS A COLD START PROBLEM WITH SOME OF THESE VEHICLES AND MAYBE PULLING BRAKE FLUID IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY. I LOOKED UP THE VIN NUMBER ON THE RECALL AND MINE HAS NOT SHOWN UP. I AM CONCERNED THAT MINE IS DONG THE SAME THING AS SPECIFIED ON THIS RECALL BUT HAS NOT BEEN INCLUDED. *TR
THE TRUCK COMPLETELY LOST POWER ON A MAJOR INTERSTATE. THE ENGINE KEPT RUNNING, BUT NO POWER TO MANEUVER PUTTING ME AND MY FAMILY'S SAFETY IN JEOPARDY. I WAS LUCKY IT DID NOT STALL IN A DIFFERENT PLACE, OR THERE COULD HAVE BEEN A MAJOR ACCIDENT. IT TURNED OUT TO BE A BAD ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY. FORD DEALER REPLACED IT AT A COST OF $500. *TR
FORD 3.5 ECOBOOST WARPED EXHAUST MANIFOLDS, BOLTS CRACKS , AND LOST ,SOUND LOUD AND POWER LESS. *TR
THE OIL PAN IS LEAKING TO FIND OUT IT'S A PLASTIC PAN THAT HAS NO GASKET, THE DEALER SAID IT HAD TO BE REPLACED WITH AN UPGRADED OIL PAN.
CAUGHT ON FIRE NOT RUNNING. IN THE DRIVEWAY.
ENGINE CAUGHT FIRE WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY. *TR
WHEN ACCELERATING, ABOUT 90% OF THE TIME THE VEHICLE WILL GET WARNINGS FOR "HILL DESCENT CONTROL FAULT" AND "ADVANCE TRACK SERVICE". WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE VEHICLE WILL NOT ACCELERATE ANYMORE AND STARTS SLOWING DOWN. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME TWICE GETTING ONTO THE INTERSTATE IN THE PAST MONTH BUT LUCKILY NO VEHICLES WERE COMING UP BEHIND ME. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE THOUGH THAT FORD NEEDS TO RECOGNIZE AND FIX. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS CAUSING IT BUT EVERYONE ONLINE SAYS THAT IT'S LIKELY TO BE THE STEERING RACK. RECALL THE STEERING RACK BECAUSE THIS HAS APPARENTLY HAPPENED TO A LOT OF PEOPLE.
LL HAVE TO DO WITH THE CRANKSHAFT / CAMSHAFT SENSORS. I DID SOME RESEARCH ONLINE AND IT IS SAID THAT FORD NEVER FIXED THIS PROBLEM. APPARENTLY IT HAS HAPPENED TO MANY, MANY FORD OWNERS.
