TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TAILGATE DID BIG TIME DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE ON ITS OWN. THE FAILURE DAMAGED THE WIRING CABLE ON THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE COMPUTER WIRES THAT WERE DAMAGED NEEDED TO BE REPLACED FIRST IN ORDER TO PROPERLY DIAGNOSE THE TAILGATE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT THE CONTACT HAD NOT RECEIVED A RESPONSE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,000. UPDATED 01/10/17* LJ *TR
