THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT RESULTED IN TRANSMISSION HAVING A HARSH DOWNSHIFT TO FIRST GEAR CAUSING VEHICLE TO JERK AND ENGINE REVS UP. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST INCLUDING A FEW DAYS BEFORE TAKING IT IN FOR THE RECALL REPAIR IN 2019. ( RECALL 19V -075). THIS PROBLEM, ACCORDING TO FORD, IS DUE TO INTERMITTENT FAILURE OF THE OUTPUT SPEED SENSOR ( PART OF THE MOLDED LEADFRAME IN THE TRANSMISSION). TWO LATEST INCIDENTS OCCURRED ON A CITY STREET. HAVE HAD AT LEAST ONE OCCASION ON AN EXPRESSWAY WHERE VEHICLE HAD VERY JERKY TRANSMISSION SHIFT WHILE IN CRUISE CONTROL. HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS TO FORD AND TOOK THE VEHICLE IN ON TWO OCCASIONS ( SEE ATTACHED INVOICES).
