TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THERE WAS A SUDDEN LOSS OF ENGINE POWER AND THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO THE POINT THAT IT COULD STALL WITHOUT WARNING. CAPITAL FORD (3660 S CARSON ST, CARSON CITY, NV 89701, (775) 882-5353) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO SCHEDULE A DIAGNOSTIC APPOINTMENT. THE VEHICLE HESITATED WHILE AT A STOP, DURING ACCELERATION, AND WHILE MAKING A TURN, WHICH CAUSED THE CONTACT TO HAVE TO DOWNSHIFT. CUSTOMER SERVICE CAMPAIGN PROGRAM NUMBER: 15N05 (ELECTRIC VACUUM PUMP RECALL) WAS REFERENCED AS A POSSIBLE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
