MY VEHICLE HAS HAD AN ACTIVE RECALL THAT I HAVE BEEN CONTACTING THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT FOR MONTHS TO GET REPAIRED AND I WAS CONTINUALLY TOLD THAT I WOULD BE CONTACTED AND I NEVER WAS. TODAY, ON AUGUST 1, 2019 AS I WAS BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT IN A PARKING LOT, MY TRANSMISSION SHIFTER CABLE FAILED AND CAUSED MY CAR TO GET STUCK IN REVERSE AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO SHIFT TO PLACE MY CAR IN DRIVE. I HAD TO REMOVE THE BATTERY CABLES UNDER THE HOOD AND THE GEAR COVER FROM INSIDE THE CAR AND MANUALLY SWITCH MY CAR TO NEUTRAL AND HAVE MY CAR PUSHED HOME. I THEN CALLED MOPAR TO ASK WHAT THE REMEDY WAS FOR FIXING THE RECALL ISSUE AND I WAS INFORMED THAT I WOULD NEED TO PAY OUT OF POCKET TO HAVE MY CAR REPAIRED AND THAT I WOULD LATER GET REIMBURSED....

THE CONTACT WENT TO ANOTHER UNKNOWN DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT A COMPUTER UPDATE WAS NEEDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND WERE WORKING WITH THE LOCAL DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,800. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
