FOR THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH MY CAR STARTING. THERE ARE NO INDICATORS THAT THERES ANY ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE. IT JUST TAKES ABOUT SEVERAL SECONDS TO GET A CRANK IN ORDER FOR THE CAR TO COME ON. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO GET IT LOOKED AT TO SEE WHAT THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM WAS. NO ISSUES WITH THE BATTERY OR STARTER. I HAD THE SPARK PLUGS CHANGED WITH AN OIL CHANGE AND STILL THE SAME ISSUE. SINCE THEN FOR THE PAST FEW DAYS UPON MY INITIAL START FOR THE DAY MY CAR HAS SHUT OFF ON ME WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE RESIDENTIAL ROAD LESS THEN A MILE IN IT STOPS OUT OF NOWHERE LOCKS THE CAR UP SO IM UNABLE TO STIR THE CAR AND TELLS ME TO PART THE CAR IN PARK. AFTER THAT IM UNABLE TO GET THE CAR TO START...
THE VEHICLE WOULD CUT OFF AFTER STARTING & DRIVING A VERY SHORT DISTANCE THEN THE CHECK ENGINE/FLASHING LIGHTNING BOLT WOULD COME ON. ONCE THE CAR WAS OFF AND THEN RESTARTED, THE LIGHTS WOULD GO OFF AND IT MIGHT RUN FINE AS LONG AS YOU DIDN'T ACCELERATE TOO QUICKLY & DROVE A GOOD DISTANCE WITHOUT HAVING TO STOP AND START A LOT. THE ISSUE WOULD ARISE MORE WHEN DRIVING SHORT DISTANCES WITH CONSTANT STOPS & TIGHT TURNS OR SOMETIMES WHEN HAVING TO DE-ACCELERATE QUICKLY. ONCE THE CAR WAS OFF FOR A SECOND THEN RESTARTED, THE ONLY LIGHT THAT WOULD SOMETIMES STAY ON WOULD BE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THEREFORE, I TOOK THE CAR TO AN O'REILLYS FOR A FREE TEST & THE ONLY CODES THAT CAME BACK WAS P0302 - CYLINDER 2 MISFIRE & P2172 - THROTTLE ACTUATOR CONTROL SYSTEM. THE ISSUE HAD GOTTEN WORSE SO I HAD A MECHANIC REPLACE...
VEHICLE, EVEN AFTER REPAIR CONTINUES TO HAVE FRONT-PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT. EVEN AFTER OIL LEVELS ARE CHANGED AND MAINTAINED, CABIN AND AIR FILTERS CHANGED, VEHICLE CONTINUES TO STALL EVEN AFTER SERVICING (BOTH PAID AND UNDER WARRANTY) CHRYSLER HAS NOT RESOLVED THE ISSUES THAT HARBOR MY VEHICLE AND OFFER NO SOLUTION. TEMP/ENGINE LIGHT ISSUE CAME ON DURING HIGHWAY TRAVEL. STALLING USUALLY OCCURS ON CITY AND RESIDENTIAL STREETS. BOTH IN MOTION.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE THEN HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO HER HOME WHERE IT STILL SITTING.THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEALER STATED HER VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER RECALL AND SHE WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR.
CAR NOT WANTING TO TURN OVER WHEN TRYING TO START WITHOUT JUMPING. HAD BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR CHECKED BOTH ARE FINE AND STARTER WAS REPLACED NO MORE THAN MAYBE A YEAR AGO. THIS IS DAILY AND IF SITS THROUGHOUT DAY. LIGHTS AND EVERYTHING INTERIOR TURN ON AND IT ACTS LIKE IT WANTS TO TURN OVER JUST NOT ENOUGH POWER. ALSO REPLACED BATTERY IN KEY FOB. STARTED HAPPENING WITHIN LAST MONTH.
I DRIVE TO WORK FOR HALF HOUR. WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE HARD SHIFTS BETWEEN 30-35MPH FOR NO APPARENT REASON, ON THE HIGHWAY OR IN CITY, THE WHOLE CAR HARD SHIFTS AND THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER CAN BOTH HEAR AND FEEL IT. THEY TEST IT AND SAY NOTHING IS WRONG WITH ANY TRANSMISSION,ETC. THEY REFUSE TO FIX EVEN UNDER WARRANTY. THE CAR WARMS UP FOR 15 MINUTES BEFORE DRIVEN ANYWHERE AND THE TEMPERATURE DOESN'T AFFECT IT, IT DIVVIES BOTH SUMMER AND WINTER NOW FOR 3 YEARS!! NOW, IT POPS UP AWD SERVICE AND THEY SAY IT SHOULD HAVE NO REASON TO BE DISPLAYING IT. I'M STUCK WITH A VEHICLE UNSAFE FOR MY KIDS BECAUSE NO ONE CAN FIND AN ISSUE!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTER UNEXPECTEDLY SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL, THE VEHICLE THEN STALLED WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED HOWEVER, THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE VEHICLE SHIFTED INTO THIRD GEAR, THE VEHICLE INADVERTENTLY SHIFTED BACK INTO NEUTRAL AND STALLED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT AFTER SETTING THE CRUISE CONTROL TO A SPECIFIC SPEED, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY ABOVE THE SET SPEED WITHOUT DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE CONTACT MANUALLY TURNED OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SHIFTING INTO NEUTRAL WAS DUE TO A POWER DISTRIBUTION FAILURE AND THAT THE SOFTWARE NEEDED TO BE REPROGRAMMED. THE DEALER ALSO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT NO TROUBLE CODES WERE FOUND ON THE CRUISE CONTROL AND...
MY CAR KEEPS STOPPING IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. IT HAS BEEN SERVICED, BUT WHAT EVER THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS DOING ITS NOT WORKING. THIS CAR IS UNSAFE AND AS CAUSED DANGER TO MY TYPE 1 DIABETIC HUSBAND AND MYSELF. THE CAR IS NOW IN MY DRIVE WAY. VEHICLE LITERALLY SHUTS OFF ABRUPTLY WITH ABSOLUTELY NO WARNING SIGNS BUT RESTARTS AGAIN PERFECTLY EXCEPT FOR YOU HAVE TO REPROGRAM RADIO AND CLIMATE CONTROL . SHORTLY AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE AFTER START UP, IT STALLS AND BEGINS TO QUICKLY SLOW DOWN. NO WARNING LIGHTS, OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. ONCE YOU GET IT STOPPED AND RESTART IT, IT DOES THE SAME THING ABOUT 3-7 MILES DOWN THE ROAD. THEN IT WON'T DO IT AT ALL FOR THE REST OF THE DAY. THIS HAS CAUSED DANGEROUS SITUATIONS. NO CODES TO GO ON FOR A POSSIBLE PROBLEM. THIS MODEL HAS HAN MANY MANY COMPLAINTS FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM, AND I BELIEVE RECALLED BEFORE FOR IT, BUT A CHECK OF RECALLS FOR THIS VIN SHOWS NO UN-REPAIRED RECALLS. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO AT THIS POINT. VEHICLE HAS JUST UNDER 60,000 MILES AND IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. DEALER HAS STATED THAT WITHOUT CODES SHOWING UP, AND OR WITNESSING THE PROBLEM THEY REALLY CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THIS HAS HAPPENED DURING BUSY TRAFFIC AND CAUSED CARS...
MY LIGHTS ON THE DASH BOARD KEEP CUTTING OFF, IT KEEP SAYING THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH MY STEERING AND CAN'T TURN, STALLS WHEN PULLING OFF, AND CUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. I TRAVEL ON A BUSY CITY STREET AND SCARED I MIGHT CUT OFF OR STALLED AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AND GET KILLED OR KILL SOMEONE ELSE DUE TO MY CAR MALFUNCTIONING. ON SEPTEMBER 17TH, 2020 I WAS DRIVING MY GREAT NIECE TO DAYCARE AND WHEN I PARKED THE CAR AND CUT IT OFF, IT WOULD NOT START BACK UP OR ALLOW ME TO SHIFT AT ALL. A NEW BATTERY WAS PURCHASED WHICH DID NOTHING, A TOWING SERVICE WAS CALLED AND IT WAS FLATBED DELIVERED TO A CERTIFIED MECHANIC AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE COMPUTER BRAIN IS GONE AND THE CAR WILL NOT CUT OFF WHEN YOU PUSH THE BUTTON TO CUT IT OFF, THEY HAD TO DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL. THIS IS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200 LIMITED WITH ONLY 53,000 MILES AND I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S THE POWERTRAIN OR ANYTHING BECAUSE THE BRAIN IS GONE. THEY BUILT THESE CARS WITH NO SAFETY IN MIND. BASED ON EXPERIENCE, THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE WITHIN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. THE CAR WILL SHUT OFF FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THE MIRRORS AND LOCKS HAVE STOPPED WORKING. IT SEEMS THE PROBLEM MAY BE THE POWER DISTRIBUTION CENTER (PDC) ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR THAT MAY CAUSE INTERMITTENT POWER FAILURES TO CERTAIN ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS.

UNABLE TO ALLOW US TO SWITCH TO ANY OTHER GEAR. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO MIKE TOLER CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM FIAT DEALERSHIP LOCATED AT 5340 HWY 70 W, MOREHEAD CITY, NC 28557. THE SERVICE AREA DIAGNOSED IT AS NEEDING TO REPAIR THE TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY. WE DID NOT RECEIVE AN INVOICE FOR THIS DIAGNOSES, BUT I CAN CALL AND ASK FOR ONE DURING BUSINESS HOURS TOMORROW. I PURCHASED THE CAR ON SEPTEMBER 23RD, 2017, WITH APPROXIMATELY $42,000 MILLS. IN JANUARY 2018, I BEGAN HAVING SOME HEADLIGHTS, AIRBAGS, AND ENGINE LIGHTS ISSUES. I TOOK IT TO THE CAR DEALERSHIP SERVICE TO GET A HEADLIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT, AN AIRBAG CHECK, AND ENGINE RESET. THREE MONTHS LATER, THE SAME ISSUES OCCUR WITH THE AIRBAG LIGHT GOING ON AND OFF, AND THE HEADLIGHT BULB NEEDED ANOTHER REPLACEMENT. I ALSO BEGIN HAVING SOME "KEY FOB NOT DETECTED" ISSUE, EVEN IF I AM HOLDING THE KEY RIGHT NEXT TO THE PUSH START BUTTON. I CHANGED THE BATTERY ON THE KEY, BUT THE ISSUE PERSISTED. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE. THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE KEY SYSTEM AND PROVIDE ME WITH A NEW KEY. BY THE END OF 2019, MY SCREEN WENT BLACK WHILE DRIVING AND CAME BACK ON AFTER A FEW MINUTES. BY MARCH 2020, THE SCREEN SHUT...
MY AIRBAG LIGHT CONTINUES TO COME ON STATING THAT I NEED TO SERVICE MY AIRBAG SYSTEM. IT WILL STAY ON FOR AWHILE, AND THEN SHUT OFF FOR APPROX 2-4 WEEKS, AND THEN TURN BACK ON AGAIN. TODAY I WAS DRIVING MY CAR, AND WHEN I GOT TO A STOP SIGN MY CAR KIND OF SPUTTERED, AND THEN TURNED OFF STATING I NEED TO PUT MY CAR IN PARK, AND PUSH THE START BUTTON. THIS SEEMS TO HAPPEN WHEN MY CAR SAYS "OIL CHANGE REQUIRED". PRETTY SCARY, BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW IF THIS WILL HAPPEN WHEN IM DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY.
THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER IS DEFECTIVE. THERE IS AN ACTIVE LAWSUIT PENDING REGARDING RECALL BUT MY VIN IS NOT INCLUDED.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 77,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

VEHICLE SHAKES WHEN IDLING,PARKED,STOPPED OR WHEN NOT IN MOTION. RPMS DROPS BELOW 1 WHEN IN PARK AND THIS BEGINS THE VEHICLE TO SHAKE. VEHICLE STRUGGLES TO GAIN SPEED IN WHICH, IT STAYS MODERATED THEN ACCELERATES AT ONCE. AS WELL AS, AT RANDOM TIMES VEHICLE WILL JERK UNEXPECTEDLY WHILE IN MOTION. ALL THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER A PERIOD OF A YEAR AND JUST RECENTLY, SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT HAS FINALLY CAME ON. I HAVE HAD MAINTENANCE DONE ON MY END TO HELP FIX THE ISSUES AND NOTHING CAN BE RESOLVED.
AS I AM DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE VEHICLE WILL COMPLETELY STALL OUT. THE FIRST TIME IT JUST SEEMED TO HAVE HAD A DEAD BATTERY. I GOT A JUMP IT WAS FINE. AFTER THAT THE TRANSMISSION DIED SO I HAD TO STOP THE CAR TURN IT BACK ON AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REMAINED ON BUT IT DROVE FINE. THREE DAYS LATER, IT DIES AGAIN WHILE DRIVING. BOTH TIMES IT HAD DIED WHILE BEING DRIVEN ELECTRONICALLY WERE ON 55MPH ROADS. THE TIME MY TRANSMISSION DIED IT WAS RIGHT DOWN THE ROAD FROM MY HOUSE SO I WASN'T GOING TOO FAST.

I BOUGHT A CAR AT AN AUCTION THAT HAS TWO OUTSTANDING RECALLS. I WENT TO TWO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS AND BOTH WANTED ME TO PAY OUT OF POCKET. AFTER COMPLAINING TO REPORT THEM ONE DEALER PRETENDED TO DO THE REPAIR BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS.OBVIOUSLY THE RECALLS WERE NEVER DONE AND SINCE THEY PUT ON REPORT THEY WERE DONE THEY WILL NOT HELP ME. THE CAR WILL LOSE POWER WHILE I AM DRIVING CAUSING ME TO STALL.. ALL I WANT IS MY CAR TO BE FIXED PROPERLY SO I DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT CRASHING AND INJURING MYSELF OR GOD FORBID DIE.
