I was driving to take my vehicle to the car dealer that I bought it from and started having problems with the car. As I was driving the car started smoking really bad, and soon as I pulled into the the car dealer lot the bottom of my car was in flames. The car stalls while driving. I try to restart it and it try’s to start but takes a couple try’s. This has happened 3 times in the last week or two. The battery was replaced in April 2021 and was tested yesterday and checked ok.

I have had my 2015 Chrysler 200 for about a year now and ever since I have had it. it has acted weird. Evetime I am driving down a hill at a slow pace, i loose power as if my car just switched to Neutral. It also jerks a lot when I am stopped on a hill going up and I start to go, then it will jerk like its delayed in the gears. I am very concerned for my safety. I have seen other recalls similar to this and I am hoping we can get this one on a recall as well. I have not had my car inspected yet because I cant afford it.

Car automatically shuts off from sharp turn or hard stop

When oil is low the car stalls and shuts off while in operation without warning. There is no "oil low" light or indicator provided to give a heads up. Also, my car stalled 2 months after an oil change without me reaching the 3000 mile mark.

When the vehicle accelerates, the gear shift is harsh and very scary to the point it feels like the car is gonna fall apart. When decelerating, the same thing a occurs. At one point the whole car shifted to the side while attempting to accelerate or decelerate. When making a turn and mainly a U-turn, the steering feels like it's harsh and feels like it will break if it was turned too far or too hard accidentally. The gear shifting/transmission does not shift very smoothly at all times. Its scary when it switches gears. Both accelerating and decelerating in the middle of the highway whether going from 60mph to 70 mph feel or 60mph going down to 40mph. When coming to a stop or accelerating from a complete stop either turning or straight, the engine stalls without warning & there is no power steering or momentum to safely pull over. I have been stuck with hazards at neighborhood stop signs, in stopped traffic after the light turns green, freeway on-ramps, in the center of small & large intersections blocking traffic, on railroad tracks, & more. It can take up to 3 tries for the engine to restart. Obviously, this is extremely unsafe, & I do not believe that I should be stuck in an intersection because a newer car with such low miles dies every day, often several times a day. Chrysler 200 (2015) engine shuts down with no notice. I have to literally stop, put the car in park and restart the ignition in the middle of the road to get the car moving again. Mostly when deacceleration (turning a corner/slowing down for a traffic stop, going over a bump, etc.). The electrical system just shuts off. Notice that the temperature outside is usually warm. Engine stalls, and dies constantly. Seems to help if it idles for 15 minutes prior to driving even in the warm summer months. All lights went off, looked like a Christmas tree, car floored wouldn't go above 30 mph. Made it home, next day all the lights were off except for the check engine light.

While driving, my car will accelerate when depressing the brake. If cruise control is set to say 60 mph, the car will continue to accelerate well after the desired speed has been reached. When pressing the brake to disengage cruise control, the car will still try to accelerate for about 10 seconds, even while depressing the brake. I'm not sure if that is related to this, or if it is a separate issue, but my car will also stall out when coming to a stop or slowing down, especially if braking hard. Since purchasing my car, I’ve experienced at least 9 instances of the vehicle completely cutting off, while driving. I have one of these incidents on video. The car will cut off, tell me to “Shift to Park and hit the Start button” while in traffic, posing severe danger to myself and other drivers. THE 2015 CHRYSLER 200 C HAS STALLED AND STOPPED 3TIMES WHILE THE CAR WAS IN MOTION AND WOULD NOT CRANK BACK UP UNTIL AFTER 5 MINS THE FIRST IN A PARKING A LOT AND THE OTHER TWO TIMES ON A BUSY HIGHWAY WHICH COULD HAVE RESULTED IN ME IN AND MY PASSENGERS BEING INJURED. AT 80,000 MILES A OIL LEAK BECAME VERY NOTICEABLE. THE REAR MAIN OIL SEAL WAS DESTROYED. DUE TO THE OIL LEAK THE FRONT BELLY PAN(68102931AB) BECAME A DANGEROUS HAZARD. THE FRONT BELLY PAN BECAME COMPLETELY SOAKED IN OIL AND WAS DRAGGING UNDER THE CAR. ONCE THE CAR WAS TAKEN APART BY THE TECH IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE OIL COOLING HOUSE (68105583AF) WAS CRACKED.

WITHOUT ANY WARNING, VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF MAKING IT HARD TO STEER AND BRAKE. VEHICLE WILL THEN TAKE UPWARDS OF 15 MINUTES BEFORE IT WILL RESTART. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE IN MOTION, AND, WHILE PARKED.

THE OIL COOLER IS BUSTED AND LEAKING OIL.

WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 30 MILES AN HOUR MY CAR JUST SHUTS OFF AND THEN WON'T START FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES THIS ALMOST CAUSED ME TO HAVE A COLLISION BECAUSE I COULD NOT STEER VERY WELL.
