IN JANUARY OF 2014, CHRYSLER ISSUED A RECALL FOR DODGE RAM TRUCKS. THE ISSUE IS THE TIE ROD MAY FRACTURE, WHICH COULD CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL. THE REPLACEMENT PART FOR THIS RECALL IS UNAVAILABLE UNTIL AUGUST 2014. THIS IS AN UNREASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME TO OPERATE A VEHICLE WITH A POSSIBLE SAFETY ISSUE. I CONTACTED "WHITES ENERGY MOTORS" AGAIN ON JANUARY 13TH TO SCHEDULE AND OIL CHANGE, AT THAT TIME I ASKED ABOUT THE RECALL, AND IF I COULD GET THAT SCHEDULED AS WELL. I WAS DRIVING IN MY TRUCK WITH MY FRIEND ON SR 101. APPROXIMATE SPEED WAS 60 MPH. WE WENT AROUND A BEND IN THE ROAD OVER A CONCRETE BRIDGE EXPANSION JOINT WHERE THE PAVEMENT CHANGED LEVELS. THE TRUCK JUMPED AND BEGAN VIOLENTLY VIBRATING AND FORCED ME INTO PASSENGER SIDE GUARD RAIL OF THE BRIDGE. THE VIBRATING CONTINUED UNTIL I SLOWED DOWN TO APPROX 10 MPH. THE PROBLEM I THOUGHT WAS FIXED WITH NEW STEERING STABILIZER AND SHOCKS, A.K.A. THE DEATH WOBBLE HAS RETURNED. AFTER RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET, I CALLED MY LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP WITH SKEPTICISM.
