TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 RAM 2500. THE CONTACT SMELLED MOLD INSIDE THE VEHICLE AND THE HEADLINER AND STORAGE UNDERNEATH THE BACK SEAT WERE RETAINING WATER. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CAB WAS LEAKING DUE TO A FAULTY SEALING ON THE REAR WINDOW. THE VEHICLE WAS TEMPORARILY REPAIRED AND THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE SEAL ON THE REAR WINDOW NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE DID NOT RECEIVE A PERMANENT REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DIRECTED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000. UPDATED 01/06/17*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED REAR WINDOW SEAL LEAKING. I WAS DRIVING IN MY TRUCK WITH MY FRIEND ON SR 101. APPROXIMATE SPEED WAS 60 MPH. WE WENT AROUND A BEND IN THE ROAD OVER A CONCRETE BRIDGE EXPANSION JOINT WHERE THE PAVEMENT CHANGED LEVELS. THE TRUCK JUMPED AND BEGAN VIOLENTLY VIBRATING AND FORCED ME INTO PASSENGER SIDE GUARD RAIL OF THE BRIDGE. THE VIBRATING CONTINUED UNTIL I SLOWED DOWN TO APPROX 10 MPH. THE PROBLEM I THOUGHT WAS FIXED WITH NEW STEERING STABILIZER AND SHOCKS, A.K.A. THE DEATH WOBBLE HAS RETURNED. AFTER RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET, I CALLED MY LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP WITH SKEPTICISM. HE KNEW OF NO RECALLS AND IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN THE VEHICLE AND DO NOT WANT MY FAMILY RIDING IN THE TRUCK. I HAVE ESCAPED INJURY TO THIS POINT. FROM STATEMENT OF OPERATOR "WHILE PERFORMING ROAD MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES I WAS DRIVING UP A GRADE AT LOW SPEED WHILE IN FOUR WHEEL DRIVE AND IN LOW GEAR. THE FIRST INDICATION OF A PROBLEM WAS A SUDDEN BURST OF SMOKE FROM UNDER THE HOOD ACCOMPANIED BY THE ENGINE OIL LIGHT COMING ON. I TRIPPED THE HOOD RELEASE, WENT TO THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE TO OPEN THE HOOD. THE SMOKE FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT PREVENTED ME FROM SAFELY LOCATING THE HOOD RELEASE. I THEN RETRIEVED THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER FROM THE VEHICLE AND APPLIED IT THE BEST I COULD TO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. AT THE SAME TIME ANOTHER EMPLOYEE RETRIEVED AN ADDITIONAL 2 FIRE EXTINGUISHERS FROM ANOTHER FOREST SERVICE TRUCK AND APPLIED THEIR CONTENTS IN A SIMILAR FASHION. THE APPLICATION WAS INSUFFICIENT TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. OVER THE SUBSEQUENT HALF HOUR TO 45 MINUTES THE VEHICLE BECAME FULLY ENGULFED IN FIRE. THE...
