BOTH GLENWOOD SPRINGS AND GRAND JUNCTION) STATE THEY CANNOT GET THE PARTS AND HAVE ON US A WAITING LIST. WHAT THE HECK??!! IT HAS BEEN 7 MONTHS! IF A RECALL ABOUT THE STEERING IS IN PLACE, WHY IS THERE NO PREPARATION AND WAY TO RESOLVE THIS? AND WE HAVE HAD TO HAVE OUR STEERING WORKED ON BEFORE, BUT NOT CORRECTING THIS RECALL. CALLED LOCAL DEALER YAKIMA CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (509-248-1300) BEGINNING 1/6/14 AND WAS TOLD THE NECESSARY REPAIR PARTS HAD NOT BEEN SUPPLIED BY CHRYSLER AND TO CALL BACK THE FOLLOWING WEEK. THE NEXT WEEK WHEN I CALLED I RECEIVED THE SAME INFORMATION. THIS WENT ON FOR SEVERAL MORE WEEKS UNTIL I GAVE UP MY WEEKLY CALLS. I CALLED THE DEALER AGAIN IN APRIL OF THIS YEAR AND WAS TOLD CHRYSLER WAS ONLY SUPPLYING ONE SET OF PARTS ON THIS RECALL A WEEK AND THAT I COULD BE ADDED TO A LIST AND WOULD BE CALLED WHEN THE PARTS WERE AVAILABLE FOR MY REPAIR. I RECEIVED A RECALL FOR THIS VEHICLE IN JANUARY ABOUT A TIE ROD BALL STUD. IT SAYS "THIS COULD CAUSE LOSS OF DIRECTIONAL CONTROL AND/OR CRASH WITHOUT WARNING. NOW THAT SOUNDS KIND OF SERIOUS TO ME SO I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PARTS TO MAKE THE REPAIR YET. THE DODGE RAM WAS CHECKED BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO SUPPLE THE RECALL PARTS (RECALL N 49) SINCE THE DATE OF RECALL (DECEMBER 2013). I CALLED EVERY MONTH FOR AN APPOINTMENT AND ONLY ON THE LAST CALL DID THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP TELL ME THE FIRST TIME THEY COULD SUPPLY THE RECALLED TIE RODS ON MAY 29. CONSEQUENTLY, I TOOK THE TRUCK TO BE INSPECTED BY THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP FOR THE TIE ROD PROBLEM ON 5/14/2014 BECAUSE, AS I TOLD THEM, I PLANNED TO DRIVE 10 HOURS FROM SANTA FE NM (HOME) TO FT COLLINS CO PULLING A HORSE TRAILER WITH TWO VALUABLE HORSES AND DID NOT WANT ANYTHING TO HAPPEN. INCIDENT OCCURRED AT ABOUT 50. LOSS OF CONTROL CAME SUDDENLY LIKE THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE TOOK A SHARP BID TO THE LEFT ON ITS OWN.
