VEHICLE STALLS RANDOMLY VEHICLE STALLS RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING. DEALER CAN'T FIND ISSUE. VEHICLE JUST SHUTS OFF WHICH IN MY OPINION MAKES IT UNSAFE. DEALER HAD A 'OH WELL GOOD LUCK, TRADE IT IN AND HOPE IT DOESN'T STALL' ATTITUDE.
EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS BROKEN CAUSING AN EXHAUST LEAK AT START UP.
HAD THE AEM EMISSION RECALL DONE NOW TRUCK RUNS BAD. SLUGGISH AND NO THROTTLE RESPONSE FOR 4 TO 5 SECONDS. LOST 5 MILES PER GALLON. SHIFT POINTS CHANGED. LOTS OF PINGING AND TURBO BACK FLUSH. LOUD AND SOUND LIKE ROD OR CYLINDER RATTLING. NO POWER PULLING TRAILER OR WHEN CLIMBING HILLS, HAVE TO KEEP IT FLOORED. DEALER CONFIRMED ALL PROBLEMS AND SAYS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. AROUND 55000 MILES.
AFTER THE V08 RECALL AEM UPDATE, THE TRUCK HAS NO POWER WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP
I HAD THE AEM UPDATE DONE ON MY 2014 RAM ECODIESEL. THE RECALL DRASTICALLY AFFECTED THE PERFORMANCE OF THE TRUCK. THE ACCELERATION IS NOW DANGEROUSLY SLOW. MY WIFE, MY SON, AND I HAVE ALL NEARLY BEEN IN ACCIDENTS RIGHT AFTER THE RECALL WAS DONE BECAUSE WE WERE NOT AWARE HOW THE PERFORMANCE HAD BEEN REDUCED SO MUCH. FROM A STANDSTILL THE TRUCK TAKES 3-5 SECONDS TO BEGIN TO ACCELERATE. THE TRUCK IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE.
2 MOUNTING BOLTS HAVE BROKEN OFF IN MY MANIFOLD. THEY ARE BROKE OFF INSIDE THE MANIFOLD.
AFTER HAVING THE AEM UPDATE COMPLETED, I LOST 5MPG IN FUEL ECONOMY (FROM 23 MPG COMBINED, TO 18 MPG COMBINED), I ALSO AM EXPERIENCING AN INCREDIBLY UNSAFE AMOUNT OF ACCELERATION LAG (4-6 SECONDS). WHEN PULLING INTO TRAFFIC TRAVELLING AT 40+MPH, THIS LAG IN ACCELERATION CAUSES ME TO ROLL INTO TRAFFIC WITH NO POWER OR ABILITY TO ACCELERATE UNTIL THE ENGINE DECIDES TO KICK IN.THIS LAG IN ACCELERATION IS THE BIGGEST CONCERN AS THE DURATION OF LAG IS INCONSISTENT AND UNPREDICTABLE. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN THIS VEHICLE AND AM NOT CONFIDENT IN IT'S PERFORMANCE ANYMORE. I, LIKE MANY OTHER OWNERS WOULD LIKE TO GET RID OF THIS TRUCK. AFTER THE V08 UPDATE VERY BAD LAG FROM THE PEDAL AND GAS MILEAGE DROPPED VERY SIGNIFICANTLY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 1500. AFTER FILLING THE FUEL TANK AND STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE FUEL INDICATOR READ THAT THERE WAS NO FUEL IN THE TANK. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO JT'S DODGELAND OF COLUMBIA (LOCATED AT 190 GREYSTONE BLVD, COLUMBIA, SC 29210, 803-832-1255) WHO STATED THAT THE FUEL RELAY SENSOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,000.
HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP FAILURE (CP4) CAUSED A QUOTED $9500 REPAIR BILL.
MY TRUCK WAS RECALLED FOR AN EMISSION RECALL,V08.ALL THE ISSUES STARTED AFTER THAT. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS MOVING IT HAS NO POWER BETWEEN 1000-2200 RPM. IT HESITATES WHEN THE THROTTLE IS APPLIED. IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS WHEN ACCELERATING, IN THE CITY AND ON THE HIGHWAY. IT DOES THIS EVEN AFTER IT IS WARMED UP. WHEN TOWING A BOAT IT IS VERY BAD. IT CAN HARDLY PULL THE BOAT UP THE RAMP. IT IS A SAFETY AND PERFORMANCE ISSUE.
VEHICLE LOSES POWER RANDOMLY AND COMPLETELY SHUTS DOWN. THIS HAS HAPPENED IN TRAFFIC, IN THE DRIVEWAY, AND WHILE TRAVELING DOWN A HIGHWAY AT 70MPH. IN THIRTEEN MONTHS THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN DRIVEN AND TOWED FOR REPAIR TO VARIOUS DEALERSHIPS SEVEN TIMES. THE FIRST FOUR TIMES IT WAS TAKEN TO A DEALERSHIP, IT WAS RELEASED TO ME WITHOUT REPAIR DUE TO THE DEALERSHIP BEING "UNABLE TO REPRODUCE THE ISSUE". THIS VEHICLE IS DANGEROUS AND SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM COMMERCE.
MY VEHICLE HAS TREMENDOUS LAG WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE, BUT IT IS NOT ALL THE TIME. AFTER THE MANDATORY EMISSIONS UPDATE ON MY ECODIESEL I AM GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY HURT TRYING TO GET OUT IN TO TRAFFIC AT A STOP LIGHT OR SIGN. FCA WAS RECENTLY INVOLVED IN AN EMISSIONS SCANDAL. THE REQUIRED UPDATE (AEM) THAT HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTED TO SATISFY THE EPA HAS LEFT THE TRUCK DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. THROTTLE RESPONSE IS TERRIBLE, LEAVING A 5 TO 6 SECOND DELAY BEFORE ANY POWER IS GAINED. THE TRANSMISSION WONT DOWNSHIFT GOING THROUGH ROUNDABOUTS, CREATING A HAZARD AS THE TRUCK WILL NOT ACCELERATE. ON FEBRUARY 23, 2019, I BOUGHT A 2014 RAM 1500 LARAMIE EDITION TRUCK WITH A 3.0 VM MOTORI TWIN TURBO ECODIESEL ENGINE. THE TRUCK HAD 78,000 MILES ON IT. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE TRUCK. THE FACTORY WARRANTY (5 YEARS/100,000 MILES) RAN OUT ON APRIL 12, 2019, DUE TO THE TRUCK BEING 5 YEARS OLD. I FOLLOWED THE MANUFACTURES RECOMMENDATIONS AND USED VALVOLINE EURO 15W40 DIESEL MOTOR OIL WHEN I CHANGED THE OIL, WHICH WAS AS SOON AS THE OIL SENSOR INDICATED THAT THE OIL WAS READY FOR CHANGING. ON MAY 2, 2019, I WAS DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 70 MPH. THE TRUCK MADE A BRIEF ROARING SOUND AND THE ENGINE DIED. I COASTED OVER TO THE LEFT SHOULDER AND STOPPED. A LARGE AMOUNT OF OIL WAS UNDERNEATH THE TRUCK. THE TRUCK NOW HAD 83,000 MILES ON IT. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT...
THE V08 EMISSION RECALL HAS DESPITE WHAT THE MANUFACTURER CLAIMS DECREASED MY MPG, INCREASED TURBO LAG, MADE IT UNSAFE TO DRIVE DUE TO LITERALLY SLOWER THAN ACCEPTABLE THROTTLE RESPONSE, AND DAILY DIESEL REGENERATION. ALL BEFORE THIS FLASH TO THE ECU THERE WHERE NO PROBLEMS. BUT SINCE IT IS A TICKING TIME BOMB JUST WAITING FOR FOR ME TO GET T-BONED AT AN INTERSECTION FOR THE DELAYED ACCELERATION.

THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE FAILURE BEGAN TO OCCUR AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED FOR AN EMISSIONS RECALL. NO FURTHER INFORMATION WAS AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.
ON JUNE THE 5TH 2019 MY ECODIESEL RECALL WAS PERFORMED AT THE DEALER. IT WAS PART OF A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. THREE DAYS LATER THE TRUCK STARTED RUNNING BAD. IT HAS DEAD FUEL PEDAL AND LOSS OF POWER. I BROUGHT IT BACK FOR A SECOND TIME TO HAVE THE RECALL PREFORMED AGAIN AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. IT IS A SAFETY PROBLEM AS OF NOW. I'M AFRAID TO PUT MY FAMILY IN THE TRUCK DUE TO THE FACT THAT WHEN I PULL OUT INTO ON COMING TRAFFIC I DONT KNOW IF I WILL HAVE POWER OR NOT. I HAVE A 2014 RAM 1500 WITH THE 3.0L ECODIESEL ENGINE. AFTER RECEIVING THE V08 EMISSIONS RECALL, I AM EXPERIENCING EXCESSIVE TURBO LAG/SLOW ACCELERATION WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD. IT IS BAD ENOUGH THAT I AM FORCED TO STEP ON THE THROTTLE JUST TO GET THE VEHICLE THROUGH INTERSECTIONS OR WHEN MERGING ON HIGHWAYS. IT WAS NOT LIKE THIS PRIOR TO THE V08 EMISSIONS RECALL CAMPAIGN AND THE ACCELERATION LAG HAS ALMOST CAUSED A COUPLE.ACCIDENTS AS THE TRUCK WAS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE OUT OF SITUATIONS IN WHICH IT USED TO HAVE NO PROBLEMS PRIOR TO THE V08 RECALL.
DUE TO THE ECODIESEL SETTLEMENT PROGRAM, I ALLOWED FCA TO UPDATE THE ECM TO MEET THEIR REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SETTLEMENT. AFTER THE UPDATE, MY TRUCK IS DANGEROUSLY SLOW FROM A STANDING START. I NEVER KNOW IF THE TRUCK WILL ACCELERATE AS I MERGE INTO TRAFFIC. SOMETIME IT IS BARELY ADEQUATE BUT MOST OF THE TIME THERE IS A 2 TO 4 SECOND DELAY BEFORE THE TURBO KICKS IN (AROUND 2,000 RPM) AND THEN THERE IS A STRONG TURBO LEAP BECAUSE MY FOOT IS BURIED IN THE FLOOR TRYING TO GET THE TRUCK TO MOVE. I HAVE ALMOST BEEN T-BONED OR REAR-ENDED SEVERAL TIMES CROSSING STREETS AND MERGING INTO TRAFFIC. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND FCA TOLD ME THERE ISN'T ANYTHING THAT CAN BE DONE BECAUSE THE TRUCK DIDN'T SHOW ANY ERROR CODES.

THE CONTACT DROVE TO WHITTEN BROTHERS OF ASHLAND (11409 WASHINGTON HWY, ASHLAND, VA 23005, 804-798-6071) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT EITHER THE MOTOR OR THE CAMSHAFT AND LIFTERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 182,000.
I HAD THE EMISSIONS RECALL/REPAIR FOR THE ECODIESEL ENGINES PER THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT BETWEEN THE EPA AND FCA. FCA CLAIMS THAT IT WOULD NOT EFFECT POWER OR GAS MILEAGE. MY TRUCK NOW HAS A SIGNIFICANT LAG FROM A STOP AS WELL AS FROM 10 MPH TO ABOUT 20MPH WHEN ONE HITS THE GAS AND TRIES TO ACCELERATE. THIS DECREASE IN POWER MAKES THIS VEHICLE DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY WHEN TRYING TO PULL ON TO A STREET THAT HAS ONCOMING TRAFFIC.

THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO LAWLESS CHRYSLER DODGE (196 LEXINGTON ST, WOBURN, MA 01801, (888) 384-4956) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A NEW FUEL SENSOR WAS NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000. *TR*JB

THIS LAG CAN LAST ANYWHERE FROM 2-5 SECONDS. ADDITIONALLY, THE TRUCK WAS ADVERTISED AS 29 MPG ON THE HIGHWAY. AFTER THE UPDATE, I AM SITTING AROUND 17 MPG. I HAVE LODGED A COMPLAINT WITH FCA AND AM STILL WAITING TO HEAR BACK. THIS IS NO LONGER AN EMISSIONS ISSUE, THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND I CAN GUARANTEE YOU IT WILL LEAD TO NUMEROUS ACCIDENTS AND POSSIBLY DEATH. A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH WILL SHOW THAT THIS ISSUE IS NOT UNIQUE TO MY ECODIESEL. ALMOST EVERY RAM AND JEEP THAT HAD THE EMISSIONS UPDATE IS DEALING WITH THE SAME SAFETY RISKS.
ECODIESEL-POST EPA REQUIRED REPAIRS- TURBO LAG / DELAYED ACCELERATION. UP TO A TWO SECOND TIME DELAY BEFORE VEHICLE WILL PROCEED UPON FULL THROTTLE DEMAND TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC OR FROM A STOP SIGN OR NEEDING TO PASS A VEHICLE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.. THE DELAY WILL CAUSE AN ACCIDENT TO OCCUR. PRIOR TO THE EPA REPAIRS, VEHICLE DID NOT HAVE ANY TURBO LAG/ACCELERATION ISSUES. ONE COULD ACCELERATE WITH FULL, PARTIAL OR MINIMAL THROTTLE AND HAVE CONFIDENCE IN THE VEHICLE PERFORMING AS NEEDED. DISCUSSED THIS PROBLEM WITH LOCAL RAM DEALER, THEY STATED THERE IS NO CURRENT FIX BEING CONSIDERED BY FCA. THIS IS A REAL SAFETY ISSUE WITH VEHICLES BEING INVOLVED IN ACCIDENTS AS THE VEHICLE THINKS ABOUT ACCELERATING. PLEASE ADVISE IF THERE ARE ANY KNOWN REMEDIES FOR THIS SOFTWARE ISSUE? AFTER COMPLETING THE EMISSIONS RECALL ON MY ECO DIESEL TRUCK I HAVE LOST ALL STARTING POWER. IT FEELS LIKE I HAVE LOST TURBO AND TAKE ROUGHLY 2-3 SEC TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOP. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, WHILE DRIVING AT A LOW RATE OF SPEED, THE ENGINE COMPLETELY FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT DROVE TO M & M CHRYSLER, DODGE, JEEP, AND RAM (131 MILL ST, LIBERTY, NY 12754, 845-292-3500) TO HAVE THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED, BUT NO FAILURE WAS FOUND. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED BACK TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.
FCA IS NOT VERY HELPFUL AND THE DEALER THAT I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK FROM DENIED SERVICE AFTER SEEING THERE WAS AN ENGINE LIGHT ON. I HAVE IT IN ANOTHER DEALERSHIP TO FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON WITH IT AND THEY ARE SAYING THE INTAKE MANIFOLD IS MELTED FROM THE EGR BEING STUCK OPEN. I BELIEVE THE EGR VALVE HAS TO DO WITH EMISSIONS AND THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS BUT YET THEY WANT THE 5300 TO FIX IT.
THIS 2014 RAM ECODIESEL RECEIVED THE APPROVED EMISSION MODIFICATION FROM FCA AT AN AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP ON JUNE 5TH 2019. AFTER RECEIVING THE ENGINE SOFTWARE UPDATE THE TRUCK EXPERIENCES SIGNIFICANT DELAY IN ACCELERATION CAUSING ENTERING TO TRAFFIC TO BE DANGEROUS AND UNSAFE. EXAMPLE: ON TWO OCCASIONS, I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO ENTER TRAFFIC AND HAVE ALMOST BEEN BROADSIDED AS THE VEHICLE WILL NOT ACCELERATE DESPITE PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL ALL THE WAY DOWN. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, I WAS ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE UP A STEEP ROAD AND THE ENGINE WOULD APPEAR TO STALL OUT CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO REMAIN STATIONARY WHILE ATTEMPTING TO GO UP HILL. THIS VEHICLE NEVER DISPLAYED ANY OF THIS BEHAVIOR PRIOR TO RECEIVING THE NEW ENGINE SOFTWARE FROM FCA. THIS VEHICLE IS NOT DANGEROUS, UNSAFE, AND UNPREDICTABLE TO DRIVE.
SINCE THE LAST RECALL, THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD A MAJOR DELAY WHEN HITTING THE GAS PEDAL. THIS HAS ALMOST CAUSED MULTIPLE ACCIDENTS DUE TO LACK OF POWER WHEN HITTING THE GAS PEDAL.
FCA AEM RECALL. SINCE GETTING THE EMISSIONS RECALL DONE THE TRUCK NO LONGER RESPONDS LIKE IT DID. IT IS A LIFE SAFETY ISSUE. THE UPDATE HAS MAD THE TRUCK VERY SLUGGISH TO THE POINT IT FEELS LIKE IT IS GOING TO STALL WHEN TRYING TO START FROM A STOP OR MERGING INTO TRAFFIC ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE ALSO LOST 5-6 MPG SINCE THE UPDATE AND WILL NO LONG LET MY WIFE DRIVE IT TO DO LACK OF POWER TO EVEN GET MOVING.
AFTER GETTING THE AEM FLASH PER THE SETTLEMENT WITH EPA MY TRUCK IS SLOW TO ACCELERATE WHEN STARTING OUT. IT IS A MAJOR HAZARD TO DRIVE IN TRAFFIC. NUMEROUS CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OCCURRENCES. ALSO - THE SETTLEMENT STATED "NO DRIVING DIFFERENCES" - FAR FROM IT. THROTTLE LAG - MPG DOWN SIGNIFICANTLY.
I OWN A 2014 RAM 1500 WITH A 3.0L ECO DIESEL. THERE WAS A FEDERAL CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT THAT WAS HANDED DOWN AND THE OUTCOME WAS AN APPROVED ENGINE MODIFICATION (AEM). THE AEM WAS A REFLASH OF THE ECM AND TCM. AFTER THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED, THE PERFORMANCE OF MY TRUCK DANGEROUSLY IMPACTED. IF I DRIVE MY TRUCK BEFORE THE ENGINE REACHES OPERATING TEMPERATURES OVER 150DEGREES, THERE IS SIGNIFICANT ACCELERATION DELAYS. IT USUALLY TAKES ME 5-10MINUTES OF DRIVING OR MORE THAN 20MINUTES OF IDLING (WARMING UP) TO GET THE ENGINE UP TO OPERATING TEMPERATURES. I CAN PUSH ON THE ACCELERATOR PETAL AND WAIT 3-5 SECONDS BEFORE THE TRUCK REACTS, THEN I GET PUSHED BACK INTO MY SEAT AND SOMETIMES SPIN THE DRIVE TIRES. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, ESPECIALLY WHEN I AM TURNING INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC, OR TRYING TO OVERTAKE ANOTHER VEHICLE ON THE HIGHWAY. ALSO, PRIOR TO THE ENGINE REACHING...
WAS ADVISED TO TAKE TRUCK IN FOR RECALL REFLASH DUE TO ECO DIESEL SETTLEMENT PACKAGE. AFTER RECALL FIX WAS CONDUCTED, ENGINE SLUGGISH, SHIFTING NOT SMOOTH AND MILES PER GALLON DROPPED SIGNIFICANTLY. ALL THIS AFTER A TRIP OF 8 HOURS AT LEGAL SPEED LIMITS.
RAM PERFORMED RECALL UPDATE V08 TO THE EMISSIONS SYSTEM ON THIS VEHICLE TO BECOME COMPLAINT WITH FEDERAL EMISSIONS. AFTER THE UPDATE THERE IS A 3 SECOND DELAY IN THROTTLE RESPONSE. THIS GENERALLY OCCURS WHILE THE TRUCK IS STOPPED AND IS TAKING A LEFT OR RIGHT TURN. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT HAS ALMOST RESULTED IN A COUPLE ACCIDENTS. RECALL V08 WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO EFFECT FUEL ECONOMY, BUT POST RECALL I LOST 6MPG.
I HAD THE RECENT RECALL COMPLETED AT MY LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP AND AM NOW SCARED TO DRIVE MY TRUCK AS THERE IS CONSIDERABLE "LAG" UPON ACCELERATION. THIS IS A LIFE SAFETY ISSUE AS I WAS ALMOST STRUCK BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THEY STATED THE RECALL DID NOT AFFECT PERFORMANCE BUT IT HAS DEFINITELY AFFECTED PERFORMANCE. I BROUGHT IT BECK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULD NOT EXPLAIN WHY IT WAS DOING WHAT IT WAS DOING AND INSTEAD SAID I NEED TO CHANGE MY OIL THAT OF WHICH I CHANGED 2000 MILES AGO AND ALSO TRY AN INJECTOR CLEANER. MY FUEL MILEAGE HAS ALSO DECREASED FROM 25 OR 26 MPG HWY TO 20 MPG HWY.
AFTER EMISSIONS RECALL VO8 WAS PERFORMED IN MAY, THE THROTTLE RESPONSE IS GONE. THERE HAVE BEEN MANY CLOSE CALLS WHERE THE TRUCK WON'T GO WHEN THE GAS IS PRESSED. IT WAS PERFECTLY NORMAL BEFORE RECALL WAS DONE.
2014 RAM ECODIESEL - I RECENTLY HAD MY AEM RECALL COMPLETED AT AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WITH THE PROMISE THAT PERFORMANCE AND FUEL MILEAGE WOULD NOT BE AFFECTED. NOT ONLY WERE THEY BOTH NEGATIVELY AFFECTED, THEY WERE AFFECTED TO THE POINT OF A SAFETY CONCERN. MY GAS MILEAGE GOING DOWN BY OVER 5MPG IS NOTHING COMPARED TO ALMOST GETTING T-BONED BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC DUE TO EXTENSIVE TURBO LAG (2-3 SECONDS) AFTER THE AEM WAS COMPLETED. THIS HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE WHEN I GO TO MAKE A LEFT TURN FROM A DEAD STOP, PRESS THE ACCELERATOR, AND THE TRUCK JUST SITS THERE. LUCKILY THERE HAS BEEN A SHOULDER FOR ME TO SWERVE INTO TO GET OUT OF THE WAY FROM BEING REAR-ENDED. THE 0-60 TIME WHILE ENTERING THE FREEWAY ON RAMP IS ALSO CAUSE FOR CONCERN. APPROACHING A STOP SIGN, I STEP ON THE BRAKES THEN VEHICLE WENT INTO A SLOW COAST MODE. ( A RED SIGN TURNED ON, INDICATING AN "ELECTRICAL BRAKE" ISSUE). THEN INDICATES "SWITCH GEAR TO PARK", SOON AFTER PROCEEDED AS NORMAL. THE NEXT DAY AS I WAS STOP ON A DRIVE THRU, SAME INDICATION OCCUR, ENGINE POWER WENT OFF THEN "ELECTRICAL BRAKE" , NEXT THING WAS "SWITCH GEAR TO PARK" RESUMING TO NORMAL OPERATION. VERY CONCERN ABOUT THIS IT IS MY ONLY FORM OF TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM DOCTORS VISIT, IT HAS ABOUT 46,000 MILES ON IT, VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF. OIL FILTER ADAPTER OIL LEAK DEALER REPLACED ONE SEAL .CONTINUES TO LEAK LESS. PENTASTAR V6 DEALER REFUSED TO REPLACE OIL ADAPTER. FIRE HAZARD. BELL HOUSING AND TRANSMISSION PAN SOAKED WITH MOTOR OIL.

THE CONTACT WAS WAITING TO FIND OUT IF THE VEHICLE WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AT THE SAME DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES AND THE ALL REPAIRS FAILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,657. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
I WAS ACCELERATING MY TRUCK ON A CITY STREET AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH. THE POWER CONTROL MODULE, BATTERY CONTROL MODULE, CRANK POSITION SENSOR, TONE WHEEL AND POWER STEER CONTROL MODULE ALL FAILED AT THE SAME TIME. THE TRUCK SHUT DOWN AND HAD TO BE TOWED INTO THE DEALER.
VEHICLE HAD WELL KNOW LIFTER FAILER INSIDE A 5.7L HEMI. THE FAILURE CAUSED A CAM SHAFT NOTCH TO BE PLACED IN THE LOBBY OF THE SHAFT. VEHICLE STILL HAS FACTORY WARRANTY BUT FACTORY OEM PARTS THAT ARE KNOW TO FAIL WE'RE PUT BACK IN. MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN DUE TO POSSIBLE MOTOR FAILURE WHILE DRIVING LOOSING ALL POWER TO VEHICLE AND HARDNING OF BREAKING SYSTEM.

I HAVE A 2014 RAM 1500 SLT 4WD CC I BOUGHT IT ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO. IT HAS AN EXHAUST LEAK IN THE MANIFOLD DUE TO FAULTY BOLTS. I HAVE RESEARCHED IT AND TALKED TO MECHANICS, AND IT IS A WELL DOCUMENT PROBLEM WITH DODGE/RAM VEHICLES.
