2023 NISSAN ROGUE Unknown Or Other Problems

After sitting overnight in the garage, the back windshield glass shattered when simply closing the front driver door.

While I was leaving a restaurant my back windshield spontaneously shattered in the middle of me driving it, I had the front and back heat on at the time it’s shattered, I am a first-time driver at the age of [XXX] , and I was extremely terrifying for my safety and other drivers safety while I drove my vehicle after the glass shattered out of nowhere due to no fault of my own, was worried about glass being thrown around in the vehicle, but got the vehicle home safely, I am now responsible for paying out-of-pocket for Safelite to replace this back windshield, there were no warning signs it just shattered on its own! Then I found that there was a class action suit against Nissan rogue 2021-2025 saying that the back windshields are defective. My rear view window shattered with no impact or anything to cause it. I was backing out of my garage rear end first, and it was a loud bam!

I have taken my vehicle in 2 or 3 separate times since June 2025 to get this recall done, and Gwinnett Place Nissan keeps making excuses as to why they cannot do the recall for me. Now my vehicle is on the side of the road broken down because they failed to complete my recall multiple times

Rear window EXPLODED sending glass 10' out and then 4 to 5 feet inside the vehicle. Defroster had been turned off about 15 minutes prior. Was starting to backout of parking spot when an explosion of glass flew in/out of vehicle then hissing sounds, ending with sound of glass falling.

My back windshield shattered while driving at 25 miles an hour with no other cars around me. Sounded like a gunshot.

Rear hatch window on my wife's 2023 Nissan Rogue shattered while parked inside of or residential garage. Damage happened between the hours of 12am and 7am this date. Vehicle was stationary and not in motion. Temperature of garage was 46 degrees as shown on our garage door opener panel. As per an internet search, this is an ongoing problem with the 2012 to 2025 Nissan Rogue. I attempted to contact Nissan North America on this date but their offices are closed until Monday January 26, 2026. Dealership stated this date that they do not repair windows and DID NOT STATE THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM WITH THE ROGUE VEHICLE. Vehicle is not driven that much and as of this complaint on has 6,768 miles on the odometer.

EGR valve and oil leaking The malfunction light came on and the car reduced power and almost killed me on the highway in Dallas Tx! Yes has been confirmed by trophy Nissan in Mesquite! I have also had to replace motor mount transmission mount torque strut mount the turbo hose! I have seen like 50 people have the same problem and saying they paid over $2000 to fix and car still breaks down! I will be contacting a lawyer! Every 2023 rogue with all these same problems need to be taken out of service and we need to be compensated! It should be illegal for a business to sell “new” cars that are unsafe with this many problems! Feb.29,2024 I had a warning light come on that said "Forward driving aids temporarily disabled front sensor blocked" when this message appears my cruise control is disabled. I contacted my dealer they had me bring it in, they said they fixed it. I contacted Nissan consumer affairs because the warning light was still coming on. They told me that it doesn't affect the performance of my vehicle & doesn't cause a safety issue. The light is still coming on.

Was driving and out of no where all my engine lights turned on and got an engine light that turned on and says engine malfunction power reduced service.

While driving on the interstate there was a loud explosion, like gunfire, and the sunroof exploded.We had just gotten on the interstate and was going between 55-60 mph.

The rear window exploded out of no where on my 2023 Nissan Rogue. It was parked, I was outside when this happened. No vehicles or other people around, window just exploded. Glass and weatherstripping were blown across the parking lot. Nissan consumer affairs state they will do an investigation and they may or may not help. Once this happened I see many other Nissan owners experience this same thing! Extended warranty will not cover this... As I sit here 3 days before Christmas, travel plans ruined, and the uncertainty of a thousand dollar fix hanging over my head. This is definitely a manufacturing defect, and this should be covered at no cost! A recall also needs to be issued! I'm just grateful I was not driving down the road when this happened, as I see other Nissan owners had this happen to them.

I am submitting a complaint regarding my 2 year-old vehicle due to a recurring/mechanical issue that is impacting its safety and reliability. While I understand the vehicle’s age, this problem appears to be beyond normal wear and tear and warrants review. In addition the condition has resulted in ongoing problems that I believe require further evaluation and resolution.

I was parking at my workplace and when I was getting out of my vehicle and back windshield glass just completely shattered and I have done some research to find out that I’m not the only one that deal with the issue a lot others people have had that happen to them.

While driving 40-50 mph, my vehicle abruptly dropped to a speed of below 20 mph without warning, scaring me to the point of nearly driving off the side of the road, almost getting rear-ended, and catapulting me forcefully toward my windshield. Back windshield exploding on its own with use of defroster!

Was at work parked in my 2023 Nissan Rogue at 5:30am today,when rear back windshield exploded. Sounded like a gun shot, defroster was off, temperature was about 29 degrees.

Sunroof, shattered or exploded while driving on the highway, due to defect. nothing hit it to cause the breakage

Failed Power Train part that Nissan Knows about( TSB Notify to shops ) and is not willing to fix. This item is failing premature and can definitely be a safety hazard. My wife was driving this when it completely failed. She was afraid her car was falling apart, vibrating excessively. It is the Left hand side motor mounts. It causes serious vibration throughout the vehicle when driving or stopped. They issued a TSB NTB24-14 for 2021-2023 Nissan rogues. Looking back I would say there was small vibrations around 30-32K miles but it was just intermitting. I'm not a mechanic nor my wife. We bought a Nissan because we were told they were safe and reliable vehicles. I do not feel this way about it anymore.

At 7:20am on Dec 5, 2025, we used the remote start on our 2023 nissan rogue which was in our unopened garage. We heard a loud sound and walked out to find the back window shattered. It looks like it blew out by the heating element (defroster) on the window. It was roughly 10 degrees outside and maybe 40-50 degrees in our garage. We have not had this issue in the nearly 2.5 years we have owned this vehicle.

On December 3, 2025, while parked in the hospital parking lot, the rear hatch window of my vehicle suddenly shattered without any impact, collision, or outside interference. According to the vehicle history report, the vehicle has an active stop-sale record issued by Nissan. I am unsure of the specific component or system affected. I was gently and normally closing my trunk as usual today and the entire glass window of the trunk completely shattered. It sounded like a loud pop or a gunshot. Glass flew all over the car and my daughter was in the back seat. I cut my hand on the glass. My car is now making noises and beeping constantly. My backup camera is not working properly. Takes a while for seatbelt light to go off ,sluggish driving when driving has a sound to it like its not pulling,also when using automatic starter to start car up for a while before entering it it cut off within 2 minutes and if I start it when I am a few steps from the car with the automatic starter once I get in the car it tells me to apply brake then push start when I do that the car won't start like that I have to completely cut the vehicle off and push start button,when using heat it sometimes has a burning smell. I had the car for a while but haven't driven it much because I had a second car so I noticed when I started driving the car and using the switches.

I hust bought a 2023 Nissan Roghe SV, Took it home next day Tried to start the vehicle but the dashboard display system was malfunctionig, tried to shft to reverse or drive and the vehicle wouldn't go foward or backwards.... I bought my 2023 Nissan Rogue back in May. Then in June or July, I noticed a huge bulge on the sidewall on my left front driver's side of my car. I had to have it replaced immediately, in which I did, at Walmart. Fast forward to September 30, and I went to mclarty to have an oil change cause Walmart will no longer do them because of some sort of plastic oil seal that they have broken several times and their boss said no more oil changes on them. When I first purchased the vehicle I started to smell gasoline inside the vehicle and then it became worse and now I smell it outside and inside the vehicle my garage smells of gasoline. The engine on echo mode gets 35mpg which I was told it should be less than that. The engine loses power, it makes noises, is very rough felling when driving, it seems that the vehicle is getting worse by the day. My car just randomly started having issues. It will start one day then take forever to start the next day. I’ve experienced bad odor to the vehicle and also the vehicle jumps into gears instead of smoothly shifting into gear. Also the engine is making noise and also the engine malfunction light has came on and my vehicle reduced power making it impossible to drive out of nowhere. I don’t feel safe riding in this vehicle due to the burning smell.

My 2023 Nissan Rogue is currently at the Avondale Nissan Dealership in Avondale, AZ. I have been taking it between service appointments and the check engine and recall for the pass 4 Months then a week ago it stop while driving to my mailbox and acted like it was in an accident. Each time I have taken to the dealership they stated it unfortunate would have to wait until something worse happen because they couldn’t see it in the codes. Now that what was described has happened the dealership is stating I have to pay 3500 to determine if it is the engine. I called the dealer Empire Nissan in Ontario were we purchased the vehicle to have the recall fixed. I was informed they don't have the parts in to fix it. I asked do they know when more or less it will arrive? They tell me no idea. I ask if it's possible to get a loaner meanwhile don't want to risk vehicle catching on fire according to recall it states this can happen if not taken care of they said there's nothing they can do. Received a recall notice for a motor bearing that could fail. Received recall notice on8/27 /25 They state parts are available 04/2025 And they will notify me when the parts are in. I think thay should be fixing my problem. Its been 5 months thats much to long.Can you do anything about it ? thay have not called me to say thay have the parts.

Vehicle has been having multiple issues a repairs since May. Contacted Nissan corporate multiple times regarding concern for issues and safety. Vehicle has become disable multiple times along the Highway at early morning hours, ie 2 am. Have called engine knocking, poor engine performance and engine malfunction dash lights illuminated on dash to attention of Cochran Nissan Dealership and Nissan corporate multiple times. Dealership continues to gaslight us about the engine issues. We recently learned of recall on engine and were informed there is “no fix.” Failure to repair will increase risk of crash. Feeling very unsafe and uncomfortable driving a vehicle that is not reliable and may crash due to recall and lack of repair.
