WHILE IN MOTION THE ELECTRIC EMERGENCY BRAKE WILL INGAGE ON ITS ON CAUSE THE CAR TO SUDDENLY SLOW DOWN AND STOP, VERY DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY OF IN TRAFFIC. ANOTHER ISSUE WHILE IN MOTION AT RANDOM TIMES THE ' ENGINE' OR TRANSMISSION'? FEELS LIKE IT SLIPS? AND MAKES IT HARD FOR THE CAR TO ACCELERATE ENGINE LIGHT TURNS ON AND SAYS SERVICE ENGINE. I HAVE TO PULL OVER AND STOP THE CAR RESTART SO THE TRANSMISSION DOESN'T HEAT UP
2018 JEEP COMPASS WITH AROUND 40,000 MILES WILL SHUT OFF AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, NORMAL DRIVING SPEEDS 30-70 MPH, LEAVING THE POWER STEERING, ELECTRICAL, AND ENGINE DISABLED UNTIL THE CAR IS PARKED, POWER IS OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES THEN THE CAR WILL TURN BACK ON. THIS HAS HAPPENED ABOUT A DOZEN TIMES TO THIS VEHICLE IN THE LAST FEW WEEKS.
I TOOK IN MY VEHICLE ABOUT A MONTH AGO TO GET A FIX ON A SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT ISSUE. IT SEEMED TO BE A PROBLEM WHEN I HAD MY AC ON AND THE TRANSMISSION LIGHT AND SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT WOULD TURN ON. I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO ACCELERATE AND IT WOULD MAKE A JERKING MOVEMENT WHEN I PUT MY CAR INTO DRIVE. I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND THEY SAID THAT THE PROBLEM HAD BEEN FIXED. WELL TODAY I GET IN MY CAR TO DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY IN THE DMV AND AS I'M LEAVING THE STREET I LIVE ON MY CAR STOPS WITH NO WARNING. I LET IT REST FOR A FEW MINUTES AND THEN TURN IT ON AGAIN; IT HESITATES TO TURN ON MAKING A WEIRD SOUND THEN TURNS ON ABOUT 10 SECONDS LATER. I PUT IT IN DRIVE AND IT STARTS TO DRIVE...
TWICE MY VEHICLE HAS LOST POWER WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN. ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS SEIZE UP, EMERGENCY BRAKE ENGAGES WITHOUT ME SETTING IT AND UNABLE TO ROLL DOWN WINDOWS.

WHILE VEHICLE IS OFF AND STATIONARY, CAR DOES NOT REGISTER LOCK BUTTON BEING PRESSED ON INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE OR FROM THE KEY FOB. IF IT DOES, THERE IS ALWAYS ONE DOOR THAT STAYS UNLOCKED.

THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE KEPT FOR OVER A MONTH FOR COMPREHENSIVE DIAGNOSTIC TESTS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND SUGGESTED THAT THE CONTACT LEAVE THE VEHICLE WITH THE DEALER AND REQUEST A LOANER VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE...
MY VEHICLE SOUNDS LIKE IT'S DOWN SHIFTING WHEN DRIVING BETWEEN 40 & 50 MILES AND IT HAS CUT OFF ON ME SEVERAL TIMES WHEN TUNING THE CORNERS AND SOMETHING ALWAYS SOUNDS LIKE IT'S RATTLING. I'VE TAKEN IT SEVERAL TIMES TO THE DEALERSHIP AND BECAUSE NO CODES POP UP THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME TO INSPECT IT. I'VE COMPLAINED ABOUT THESE ISSUES SINCE I'VE PURCHASED IT. THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES WHEN ALL OF MY FUNCTIONS LIGHT UP OR IT TELLS ME MY KEY IS NOT IN THE VEHICLE WHEN IT'S IN PLAIN SITE. THIS HAPPENS WHEN I'M DRIVING ON THE STREET OR FREEWAY.
VEHICLE HAS RANDOMLY SHUTS DOWN WHILE DRIVING STREET OR HIGHWAY. SERVICE TRANSMISSION LIGHT COMES ON WHILE DRIVING AND CAR DECELERATES WHICH IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. BACK UP CAMERA INSTRUMENT PANEL INTERMITTENTLY DOES NOT WORK. I AM SURE THERE IS MORE BUT AT THIS TIME THIS IS ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT AS MY DAUGHTER, SON-IN-LAW AND GRANDBABIES ARE STUCK ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD 250 MILES FROM HOME. WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD IF I MAKE A COMPLETE STOP THE AUTOSTP ENGAGES WILL NOT DISENGAGE UNTIL JEEP IS IN PARK AND TURNED OFF AND ON. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WILL ALSO RANDOMLY ENGAGE. CAUSE ME NOT TO BE ABLE TO MOVE. ALSO HAVE HAD TIMES WERE THE BRAKE PEDAL IS STIFF AND CANT START THE JEEP.
BATTERY DIED AND REQUIRES JUMP STARTING EVERY TIME I TURN THE VEHICLE OFF. IT TOOK AN HOUR TO START MY VEHICLE TODAY. IT IS BELIEVED TO BE A VOLTAGE REGULATOR ISSUE JUST LIKE OTHER MODELS OF THIS VEHICLE BUT MY VIN SAYS IT ISN'T ELIGIBLE FOR THE RECALL.

THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO SERVICE AND THE DEALER SERVICE EXPLAIN THAT IT WAS AN INCORRECT PLUG. WEEKS LATER THE EVENT WAS REPEATED BUT NOW RUNNING AT A SPEED OF 60 MILES PER HOUR. WHEN THE MESSAGE APPEARS WHILE RUNNING THE CAR INSTANTLY REDUCE THE SPEED, WHICH IS VERY DANGER AT THIS SPEED, AND WHEN PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR THE ENGINE DOES NOT RESPOND AND CAN NOT EXCEED 30 MILES PER HOUR. THE ONE-YEAR MARK OF OWNERSHIP, THE JEEP STARTED EXPERIENCING SIGNIFICANT ISSUES WITH THE AUTO START/STOP FEATURE AND BACK-UP CAMERA. THE JEEP COMPASS 2018 CAR JUST STOPS IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING. THERE IS NO OIL LIGHT TO INDICATE IT IS LOW ON OIL. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD . THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE. THE CAR EATS OIL. DEALER SAID TO DRIVE FOR 2000 MILES AND BRING IT IN . I AM TERRIFIED OF DRIVING IT. IT NEEDS A NEW ENGLINE
MY VEHICLE START/STOP CAUSED ME TO STALL OUT FOR 20MIN IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC, I WAS NOT HIT, AND I PUT MY HAZARDS ON AND WAVED PEOPLE BY, I HAD TO TURN MY VEHICLE OFF, AND THEN PUT THE PARKING BREAK ON, THEN DISENGAGE THE PARKING BREAK, RESTART MY VEHICLE, AND PRESS THE STAR/STOP BUTTON TO TURN IT OFF, AND SINCE THIS INCIDENT, MY START STOP SYSTEM HAS NOT WORKED BUT I CONSTANTLY HAVE AN UMBRELLA CON ON MY CONSOLE THAT IS A CIRCLE WITH AN EXCLAMATION MARK. I THEN WENT TO ORIELLY AUTO PARTS NEAR MY HOME FOR A DIAGNOSIS, AND IT WAS A MANUFACTURE CODE THAT THEY HAD NO CLUE WAS ABOUT. MY VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION APPROACHING A STOP LIGHT ON A PUBLIC CITY STREET WHEN IT SHUT DOWN AND STALLED OUT, I OBSTRUCTED TRAFFIC FOR TEN MINS UNTIL I FIGURED OUT HOW TO GET MY...
THE CAR STALLS OR DOES NOT START. WHEN WE HIT THE START BUTTON IT CLICKS AND THEN THE DISPLAY SAYS THE CAR IS RUNNING. BY NO MEANS IS THE CAR RUNNING. WE HAVE CHECKED THE BATTERY AND DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY TO SEE IF IT WOULD RESET ANYTHING. NO GO. THIS HAS ALSO BEEN HAPPENING SINCE WE BOUGHT THE VEHICLE TWO YEARS AGO. IT HAS NOW DECIDED IT WILL NOT START AT ALL.
I HAVE HAD THE CAR A YEAR AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE RANDOMLY COMES ON BY ITSELF WITHOUT HAVING TO PUSH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE BUTTON. IT USUALLY HAPPENS WHEN IN REVERSE OR JUST CRANKING THE VEHICLE. ALSO TONIGHT MY RADIO AND USB PORT COMPLETELY TURNED OFF LIKE I HAD TURNED MY CAR OFF, WHILE I WAS GOING DOWN THE ROAD AT 70 MPH. AND THE D FOR DRIVE WAS FLASHING IN THE DASH AS WELL AS AT THE SHIFTER ALONG WITH THE PARKING BRAKE LIGHT FLASHING ALSO.WHEN I PULLED OVER AND PUT IT IN PARK IT SHUT ITSELF OFF AND WOULD NOT IMMEDIATELY RESTART. THIS IS A FEW MONTHS AFTER TAKING TO THE DEALER FOR THE TRANSMISSION NOT SHIFTING AND CODES FLASHING. I HAVE ATTACHED A PHOTO TAKEN AT ABOUT 20 MPH OF THE TACHOMETER AND SPEEDOMETERS
I HAVE A 2018 JEEP COMPASS THAT I PURCHASED EARLIER THIS YEAR IN FEBRUARY. LATER ON IN OCTOBER I STARTED GETTING A LOW OIL PRESSURE SIGNAL MORE SPECIFICALLY IT WOULD SIGNAL WHENEVER I TURN THE STEERING WHEEL WHILE DRIVING. I TOOK IT TO A JEEP TECHNICIAN TURNS OUT IT WAS LEAKING OIL AND NEEDED A WHOLE ENGINE REPLACED (KEEP IN MIND 2018 VEHICLE). FAST FORWARD TO NOW (ONLY TWO MONTHS LATER) MY CAR STARTED SHAKING THEN PROGRESSIVELY WENT TO NOT EVEN TURNING ON AT ALL WHILE DRIVING ON CITY ROAD THE SERV 4WD LIGHT TURNED ON. NOW IT'S BACK AT THE SHOP
FOUR TIMES NOW AFTER THE STOP/START SYSTEM HAS ENGAGED WHILE AT A STOP AND I RELEASE THE BREAK TO START DRIVING, THE CAR EITHER FLASHES 4 WHEEL DRIVE UNAVAILABLE AND THEN GOES INTO LIMP MODE NOT ALLOWING THE CAR TO DRIVE OVER 13MPH UNTIL THE CAR IS RESTARTED OR MOST RECENTLY STATES TRANSMISSION WARNING SERVICE ENGINE AND WON'T ALLOW THE CAR TO DRIVE AT ALL UNTIL I RESTART THE CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. BOTH TIMES AFTER RESTARTING THE CAR HAS DRIVEN WITH NO ISSUES BUT MOST RECENTLY THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT HAS REMAINED ON. THESE ISSUES ONLY HAPPEN WITH THE STOP/START FUNCTION SO I HAVE TO REMEMBER TO TURN THIS FEATURE OFF EVERYTIME I START THE CAR. FIRST MY RADIO CUTS OUT AT RANDOM TIMES. SECOND, I'VE BEEN NOTICING MY OIL LIGHT COMING ON MANY TIMES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000.

IN THE PAST YEAR OR SO ALONE, THE CAR HAS HAD THE UCONNECT SYSTEM REPLACED OR FIXED 4 TIMES, THE BRAKES WERE RECALLED AND REPAIRED, IT BROKE DOWN ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD OUT OF OIL AT 6,000 MILES, AND NOW THE ENGINE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.

WHEN DRIVING, THE VEHICLE WILL SUDDENLY STOP, CHECK ENGINE, CHECK TRANSMISSION, SERVICE ENGINE SOON ALL LIGHT UP AND THE CAR WILL NOT RESTART. I PRESSED AND DEPRESSED THE IGNITION BUTTON SEVERAL TIMES. THE NOTHING HAPPENED. NO STARTING AT ALL. LEFT THE VEHICLE. PARKING LIGHTS AND ALL ELECTRONICS CONTINUED ON. I COULD NOT SHUT OFF.
