Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 JEEP COMPASS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE COMPUTER INDEPENDENTLY TURNED OFF AND RESET ITSELF. THE GEAR SHIFTER BECAME INOPERABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SHUTOFF WHILE DRIVING WITH AN UNKNOWN WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JASON LEWIS CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM LOCATED AT 120 AUTO LN, SPARTA, TN 38583 HOWEVER, THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO EAST TENNESSEE DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM LOCATED AT 2774 N. MAIN ST, CROSSVILLE, TN 38555, WHERE IT WAS STATED THAT THERE WERE MANY UNSPECIFIED FAILURES WITH THE VEHICLE. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE KEPT FOR OVER A MONTH FOR COMPREHENSIVE DIAGNOSTIC TESTS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND SUGGESTED THAT THE CONTACT LEAVE THE VEHICLE WITH THE DEALER AND REQUEST A LOANER VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 17,000.
