WHILE IN MOTION THE ELECTRIC EMERGENCY BRAKE WILL INGAGE ON ITS ON CAUSE THE CAR TO SUDDENLY SLOW DOWN AND STOP, VERY DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY OF IN TRAFFIC. ANOTHER ISSUE WHILE IN MOTION AT RANDOM TIMES THE ' ENGINE' OR TRANSMISSION'? FEELS LIKE IT SLIPS? AND MAKES IT HARD FOR THE CAR TO ACCELERATE ENGINE LIGHT TURNS ON AND SAYS SERVICE ENGINE. I HAVE TO PULL OVER AND STOP THE CAR RESTART SO THE TRANSMISSION DOESN'T HEAT UP
I TOOK IN MY VEHICLE ABOUT A MONTH AGO TO GET A FIX ON A SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT ISSUE. IT SEEMED TO BE A PROBLEM WHEN I HAD MY AC ON AND THE TRANSMISSION LIGHT AND SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT WOULD TURN ON. I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO ACCELERATE AND IT WOULD MAKE A JERKING MOVEMENT WHEN I PUT MY CAR INTO DRIVE. I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND THEY SAID THAT THE PROBLEM HAD BEEN FIXED. WELL TODAY I GET IN MY CAR TO DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY IN THE DMV AND AS I'M LEAVING THE STREET I LIVE ON MY CAR STOPS WITH NO WARNING. I LET IT REST FOR A FEW MINUTES AND THEN TURN IT ON AGAIN; IT HESITATES TO TURN ON MAKING A WEIRD SOUND THEN TURNS ON ABOUT 10 SECONDS LATER. I PUT IT IN DRIVE AND IT STARTS TO DRIVE...
TWICE MY VEHICLE HAS LOST POWER WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN. ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS SEIZE UP, EMERGENCY BRAKE ENGAGES WITHOUT ME SETTING IT AND UNABLE TO ROLL DOWN WINDOWS.
STOP/START NOT AVAILABLE, BACKUP CAMERA GOES OUT OR DOES NOT WORK, ENGINE IS SUPER HOT HIGH HEAT, CHECK TRANSMISSION LIGH, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, AMBER STOP START LIGHT,PUTTING IN REVERSE AND CAR WILL DIE OUT OR HESITATE, ONLY 14,000 MILES 2 YEARS OLD ALL THESE SYMPTONS CAME ON THIS WEEK. TRULY FRUSTRATING 2 YEAR OLD CAR AND ITS REDICULOUS HOW BAD THIS IS. I WILL NEVER BUY THIS COMPASS OR JEEP AGAIN.
MY TRACTION CONTROL MAKES A LOUD NOISE, AFTER HAVING IT BACK TO THE GARAGE 3 TIMES I HAVE BEEN GIVEN 3 CHOICES. 1 LISTEN TO THE NOISE, TURN UP MY RADIO OR 3 TURN OFF THE TRACTION CONTROL. JEEP HAS NO ANSWER OR FIX FOR THE NOISE. I FIND IT TROUBLING THAT THEY WOULD SUGGEST TURNING UP THE RADIO WHICH TO ME CAUSES A SAFETY ISSUE OR TO TURN OFF THE TRACTION CONTROL WHICH SEEMS TO ME WAS PUT ON THERE AS A SAFETY FEATURE. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM SINCE I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE.
ISSUE IS WHAT SEEMS TO BE WITH THE FRONT SUSPENSION AND IT'S ALIGNMENT. I'M PRETTY SURE THERE'S NOT ANYTHING BROKEN, IN FACT I'M ACTUALLY BAFFLED UNLESS IT IS A POSSIBLE 'CAMBER' ISSUE/SETTING. MORE SPECIFIC: NEGATIVE CAMBER, CAUSING BOTH TIRES TO BALD ON THE INSIDE, EVENLY IF THAT MAKES SENSE. (BUT I'M NOT GOING TO ACT LIKE I KNOW MY STUFF, CAUSE IT'S NOT MY PROFESSION) SEE ATTACHED BELOW...ALSO SPOKE WITH SERVICE SUPERVISOR MENTIONED (OVER PHONE), HE SAYS A POTENTIAL TOE OUT, IN WHICH IS ALSO ON ATTACHED SHEET. THE JEEP HAS GONE INTO LIMP MODE TWICE. FIRST TIME WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED. JEEP WAS TOWED TO DEALERSHIP SAME DAY. REPAIRED ONCE ADVISED THERE WAS A MOTHER BOARD ISSUE. THE SECOND TIME DEALER UNABLE TO REPLICATE NO REPAIR MADE. TURN STARTED TO GET STUCK AROUND THE SAME TIME. TURN SIGNAL KEEPS GETTING STUCK HAS BEEN SENT TO DEALER SEVERAL TIMES ISSUE STILL NOT REPAIRED. *TR

CHANGED OIL AS TECH STATES THAT IT IS NORMAL FOR A CALL TO STALL WHILE DRIVING IF IT IS UNDER THE RECOMMENDED OIL LEVEL. 1-7-2020 VEHICLE STALLS AT STOPLIGHT. 1-9-2020 JEEP CHANGES OUT IGNITION SWITCH. 1-10-2020 PU VEHICLE AUTO START STOP WOULD NOT ENGAGE. ON NOVEMBER 14, 2019, MY WIFE DROVE OUR 2018 JEEP COMPASS ON A LOCAL STREET, WITHIN MINUTES, THE CAR BEGAN SLOWING DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP, AND THEN SHUT OFF. BEFORE THE CAR SHUT OFF, THE EMERGENCY BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON. ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT, THE CAR DID NOT TURN BACK ON. ON THE SECOND ATTEMPT, THE CAR TURNED BACK ON.

JUST LAST WEEK I PICKED UP MY CAR FROM DEALERSHIP WITH A FULL TANK. I DROVE 100 MILES MILES AND THE FUEL INDICATOR DID NOT MOVE AT ALL. I KNOW WHEN I HAVE A FULL TANK OF GAS I HAVE A TOTAL RANGE OF 326 MILES. THEN THE TOTAL RANGE NUMBER KEPT FLUCTUATING. AT ONE POINT IT SAID...
MY VEHICLES TRANSMISSION, BEGINNING AT 30,000 MILES, STARTED TO LOCK UP. THE SERVICE TRANSMISSION AND SERVICE ENGINE LIGHTS BOTH ACTIVATED. THIS ONLY OCCURRED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND IDLED. I HAD TO PRESS GAS TURN VEHICLE OFF FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES AND RESTART TO RESET THE TRANSMISSION ICON. THE SAME LOCK UP STARTED TO HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING AFTER I PASSED THE 36,000 MILES MARK. I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY USING CRUISE CONTROL AND THE VEHICLE LOCKED UP AND STARTED TO SLOW DOWN. I COULD NOT ACCELERATE SO I HAD TO PUT MY HAZARDS AND PULL OVER. THIS HAPPENS VERY OFTEN NOW. AUTOZONE STATES THE CODE POPS UP WITH U1428. I THEN START TO HAVE START UP ISSUES AT 50,000 MILES. THE START/STOP SYSTEM IS UNAVAILABLE AND THE LIGHT REFLECT 'A!' HAS BEEN ACTIVARE SINCE. THIS HAS CAUSED MY VEHICLE TO GET REALLY HOT. CONSTANT OIL BURNING. AND GAS...
WHILE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AT 55 MPH ON A PARKWAY, THE MIDDLE DASHBOARD BEGAN RANDOMLY DISPLAYING 'SERVICE NOW' AND 'SERVICE' NEEDED MESSAGES FOR THE HILL-ASSIST AND AUTO-START FEATURES. IT CONTINUED FLASHING OTHER MESSAGES THAT I COULD NOT READ BECAUSE AT THE SAME TIME, MY STEERING WHEEL COMPLETELY LOCKED UP. IT WOULD NOT TURN LEFT OR RIGHT. I HAD TROUBLE APPLYING PRESSURE TO THE BRAKES. THIS WAS AN EXTREMELY TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE BECAUSE, AS MENTIONED, I WAS MOVING QUICKLY ON A PARKWAY WITH OTHER CARS AROUND AND AN INABILITY TO CONTROL OR EASILY SLOW DOWN MY VEHICLE.

CURRENTLY THERE HASN'T BEEN A RECALL ON THIS ITEM BUT ACCORDING TO THE RESEARCH THERE NEEDS TO BE ON SET UP. EVERYTIME I ATTEMPT TO ACCELERATE THERE IS A DELAY ALSO UPON BRAKING JUST A TIP JERKS THE WHOLE VEHICLE.

VEHICLE LEASED NEW BEGAN TO HAVE GRUMBLING, LOAD HUMMING NOISE COMING FROM TRANSMISSION AT 37MPH. TOOK TEST DRIVE IN ANOTHER VEHICLE SAME NOISE. JEEP SAID KNOWN ISSUE WAITING FOR UPDATE. TOOK VEHICLE BACK TO DEALER UPDATED TRANSMISSION AND DRIVE LINE MODULE. NOISE STILL THERE, IF VECHILE PLACED IN 4X4 OR ESC TURNED OFF NOISE WILL DISAPPEAR. NOISE SOUNDS LIKE IT CAN BE DRIVELINE OR TRANSMISSION NOT IN RIGHT GEAR. CAR IS NOT SHIFTING CORRECTLY AND RPM GOES HIGH. VEHICLE HAS STALLED OUT A FEW TIMES FOR NO REASON CAR WAS STATIONARY WITH FOOT ON BRAKE AND THE AUTO START OFF DISABLED. HEATED STEERING WHEEL AND SEATS GET EXTREMELY HOT. I WAS DRIVING ON A COUNTY ROAD AND THE MESSAGE "SERVICE HILL ASSIST" CAME ON THE SCREEN. I KEPT DRIVING AND THE MESSAGES "SERVICE ESC" AND "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" CAME ON THE SCREEN. THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT, THE SCREEN FOR THE RADIO KEPT FLASHING ON AND OFF, AND I COULD NOT TURN THE ENGINE OFF WITH THE PUSH BUTTON IGNITION. THIS HAPPENED TWO MORE TIMES AS I WAS TRYING TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND ON, AND I EVENTUALLY GOT THE VEHICLE HOME. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE DEALT WITH IMMEDIATELY BY JEEP.
