2015 JEEP CHEROKEE Forward Collision Avoidance Adaptive Cruise Control Problems

Electric parking brake light keeps coming on also the shifters light comes on a lot as well

Hi, There are numbers of recalls and 3 of the recalls came back. I got engine light with the codes U0402 Implausible Data Received From TCM U0164 Lost Communication With HVAC Control Module TCM BCM and PCM needs to be reprogrammed or replaced. Also car is accelerating while cruise control is set. Fca satisfaction notice - R01 Fca recall - S55 Nhtsa recall - 16V - 529 Fca recall - U63 Nhtsa recall - 18V - 332 These 3 recalls need to be redone. Thanks

A few times when I have used cruise control my car suddenly accelerates and takes me slamming on my break for a few seconds to disengage to slow down, almost causing me to crash into someone. I have not taken my car to a shop to have it looked at. There were no warning lights or messages when it happened

I have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. It has been in the shop many times due to poor manufacturing and recalls. Prior to me purchasing the vehicle in May 2020, it was involved with a recall for a water leak and powerlift gate short due to water damage. It has leaked water into the hatch/ trunk area since I purchased it. I have spoken with 2 dealerships about the issue. The most recent was November 1, 2022 when it was left with Rockwall Chrysler. My issue is that the Electronic Parking Brake Module was damaged to due heavy rain and the continued leak. On October 30, 2022, we were trying to leave in the cherokee and the Service Brake warning light was on as well as service shifter. The vehicle was stuck due to a malfunctioning parking brake. IN THE LAST 3 WEEKS I START MY 2015 JEEP CHEROKEE AS USUAL, SHORTLY AFTER DRIVING WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOP THE BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON AND THE DASH SAYS CANNOT SWITCH GEARS UNLESS IN PARK. THE CAR THEN STALLS AND I HAVE TO SHIFT INTO PARK AND RESTART ,THE SCARY ISSUE IS THAT I AM SOMETIMES STUCK AND CANT MOVE UNTIL I CAN RESTART THE VEHICLE. THERE IS ONLY 57,000 MILES ON THIS VEHICLE .

WHILE DRIVING ON A FREEWAY IN NOVEMBER 2020 I HAD ENGAGED THE CRUISE CONTROL AND SET IT AT THE SPEED LIMIT OF 70 MPH. A SEMI TRUCK CHANGED INTO MY LANE WITHOUT BLINKER WARNING. I SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES BUT THE CRUSE CONTROL WOULD NOT DISENGAGE. I THEN BEGAN PUMPING THE BRAKES AND STILL NO DISENGAGEMENT. AS I APPROACHED THE BACK END OF THE SEMI PRIOR TO HITTING IT, I DROVE OFF THE FREEWAY DOWN THE DESCENDING EMBANKMENT STILL PUMPING THE BRAKES WITHOUT DISENGAGING THE CRUISE CONTROL. AS I BEGAN SLIDING DOWN THE EMBANKMENT I BRAKES DISENGAGE THE CRUISE CONTROL JUST BEFORE A COLLISION WITH THE DIVIDER.
