THE TRUCKS STEERING WHEEL SHAKES VIOLENTLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. YOU HAVE TO HOLD ON AND REDUCE SPEEDS TO ALMOST A STOP TO GET IT TO STOP. IT IS THE SCARIEST THING I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED WITH A VEHICLE IN OVER FORTY YEARS OF DRIVING. FORD IS WELL AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. I'M CONCERNED THAT YOU ALL ARE SILENT. IF YOUR AGENCY CONTINUES TO IGNORE THIS YOU ALL SHOULD JUST CLOSEDOWN AND FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO DO.
THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE BEGINS SHAKING AND "WOBBLING". IT HAPPENS ON REGULAR CITY STREETS AND ON HIGHWAY. NO CONTROL OF IT FROM THE STEERING WHEEL. CALLED "DEATH WOBBLE" BY NUMEROUS OTHER FORD OWNERS ONLINE.
IN NOVEMBER OF 2018, AT 25,000 MILES, MY TRUCK BECAME TEMPORARILY UNCONTROLLABLE WHILE TRAVELING ON A STRAIGHT AND LEVEL SECTION OF INTERSTATE 10. I EXPERIENCED SEVERE OSCILLATION OF FRONT TIRES AT 70 MPH. I WAS ON STRAIGHT AND LEVEL GROUND AND WAS ABLE TO SLOW DOWN TO 30 MPH AT WHICH TIME I REGAINED CONTROL. DURING THE INCIDENT, I WAS UNABLE TO MAINTAIN LANE INTEGRITY. AFTER STOPPING, I CHECKED THE TIRE PRESSURE AND ALL TIRES WERE AT THE RECOMMENDED PRESSURE'S. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO CHAPMAN FORD DEALER IN SCOTTSDALE AZ AND THE INSPECTION CAME BACK "NO PROBLEMS DETECTED". IN JANUARY 2019, AT 28,000 MILES I EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM AT 50 MPH WHILE TRAVELING ON A STRAIGHT AND LEVEL PAVED ROAD. THIS TIME I DID NOT REGAIN CONTROL UNTIL 20 MPH. IN BOTH OF THE DESCRIBED INSTANCES I WAS PULLING A LIGHT UTILITY TRAILER LOADED WITH A POLARIS RANGER. *NOTE:...
TRUCK FRONT END AND STEERING WHEEL SHAKES VIOLENTLY AFTER HITTING A BUMP GOING 70 MPH
I HAVE THE DEATH WOBBLE LIKE SO MANY OTHERS. IT STARTS WHEN I'M DRIVING AND A SMALL BUMP IN THE ROAD AND THE STEERING WHEEL START ROTATING LEFT AND RIGHT ALMOST UNCONTROLLABLY UNLESS I SLOW ALMOST ALL THE WAY TO BELOW 10 MILES AN HOUR. MY NEIGHBOR AND COUNTLESS OTHER OWNERS ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. I ALSO HAVE A 2011 F250 THAT I'VE NEVER HAD THIS ISSUE. I THINK IT'S AN GEOMETRY ISSUE. TWO TIMES I WAS ON THE NORTH LOOP 289 ACCESS ROAD TURNING NORTH UNDER THE OVERPASS AND TRAVELING AROUND 15-20 MILES AN HOUR. DEC 2017 THE THIRD TIME I WAS BETWEEN CR 7700 AND HWY 41 ON CR 1730 BOTH IN LUBBOCK TX. DEC 28TH 2018
FORD "DEATH WOBBLE" 2017 FORD F-250 4X4 WITH 20,000 HIGHWAY MILES DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 50-60 MPH ON A STRAIGHT SMOOTH PAVED HIGHWAY, THE VEHICLE STARTED SHAKING VIOLENTLY IN THE FRONT END WITHOUT WARNING. ANOTHER MOTORIST STOPPED TO CHECK ON THE DRIVER DESCRIBED THE FRONT WHEEL SHAKING SO BAD HE THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO COME OFF. THREE DIFFERENT DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENTS WE SPOKE TO ALL KNOW OF THE ISSUE WITH THESE VEHICLES AND GAVE THE IMPRESSION THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE TRUCKS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FORD F-250. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH OVER A BUMP IN THE ROAD, THE STEERING WHEEL AND FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE STARTED TO EXPERIENCE MILD SHAKING. IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE FROM SHAKING, THE CONTACT HAD TO DECREASE THE SPEED FROM 70 TO 30 MPH. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SAME FAILURE OCCURRED MULTIPLE TIMES WHENEVER THE SPEED EXCEEDED 60-75 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PHIL LONG FORD (301 S 2ND ST, RATON, NM 87740) AND UNKNOWN REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED. A MONTH AFTER TAKING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 17,000. I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE OCCURRENCES OF "DEATH WOBBLE"...... VEHICLE ONLY HAS 12,000 MILES ON IT..... HAVE DONE RESEARCH. SEEMS LIKE THERE IS A SAFETY BULLETIN OUT. FORD TOLD ME THE PARTS ARE ON BACKORDER FOR FIX.....PEOPLE ONLINE SAYING EVEN AFTER FORD FIX STILL NOT FIXED. I DONT FEEL SAFE LETTING ANYONE ELSE DRIVE THIS VEHICLE....OR ME DRIVING IT ABOVE 50 MPH. SO BASICALLY IF YOU HIT A ROAD JOINT FOR A BRIDGE FOR EXAMPLE (WHERE I HAVE HAD IT HAPPEN 3 TIMES SO FAR) IT THROWS THE FRONT END INTO A RYTHMATIC VIOLENT SHAKE. YOU HAVE TO SLAM ON YOUR BRAKES AND SLOW DOWN TO ABOUT 25MPH FOR IT TO GO AWAY. I AM GOOD AT RECOVERING FROM IT NOW..... BUT I ALMOST SMASHED INTO THE GUY NEXT TO ME THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED..... IT IS VERY UNSAFE AND FORD HAS NOT BEEN VERY HELPFUL. PLEASE HELP AND MAKE...
AT HIGHWAY SPEED, HITTING A BUMP IN THE ROAD, FRONT END DEVELOPS SEVERE WOBBLE, KNOW AS "DEATH WOBBLE"
SUSTAINED STEERING WHEEL OSCILLATION (AKA DEATH WOBBLE) WHILE DRIVING DOWN A US HIGHWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 55-60 MPH I ENCOUNTERED A SLIGHTLY ROUGH PATCH OF PAVEMENT THAT AFFECTED THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE TRUCK ONLY. THE STEERING WHEEL STARTED TO VIOLENTLY SHAKE BACK AND FORTH UNTIL I SLOWED TO APPROXIMATELY 35MPH AND THE OSCILLATIONS CEASED. FORD DOES HAVE A TSB OUT ON THE ISSUE BUT THEY ARE ONLY REPLACING PARTS THAT HAVE WORN OUT, NOT THE HIDDEN ISSUE THAT IS CAUSING HEAVY DUTY SUSPENSION PARTS TO WEAR OUT SO QUICKLY.
THREE SEPERATE OCCASIONS I HAVE EXPERIENCED A "DEATH WOBBLE" AFTER FIRST OCCURANCE RETURNED TO FORD DEALER FOR REPAIR. PARTS WERE EXCHANGED AND VEHICLE RETURNED TO ME. FIRST REPAIR COMPLETED OCT 11 2017. NEXT TWO OCCURANCES WERE WEEK OF THANKSGIVING DEALER COULD NOT SEE VEHICLE FOR SERVICE TILL 11-30-2017 VEHICLE STILLAT DEALER AS OF 12-19-2017 TOLD PARTS ON ORDER TILL 1-28-2019

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,000.

IT FIRST HAPPENED WHEN I WAS HAULING MY HORSES AND I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO WRECK WITH TRAILER IN TOW! I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK BRAND NEW AND HAVE NEVER BEEN OFF ROADING OR ANYTHING CRAZY THAT SHOULD EVER MAKE THE SUSPENSION DO THAT KIND OF SHAKING! IT WAS HORRIFIC! PLEASE ISSUE A RECALL AND FIX THIS PROBLEM!
WHILE DRIVING AT FREEWAY SPEEDS TODAY I CROSSED A ROUGH SPOT ON THE FREEWAY. MY STEERING BEGAN TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY FROM LEFT TO RIGHT AND THE TRUCK STARTED VIOLENTLY SHAKING. IF IT HADN'T BEEN FOR LIGHT TRAFFIC ALLOWING ME TO MOVE OVER TO THE SHOULD QUICKLY THEN I WOULD HAVE LOST CONTROL OF THE TRUCK. IT WAS TERRIFYING. AFTER DOING A QUICK SEARCH ONLINE ABOUT THE PROBLEM I FOUND NUMEROUS WEB PAGES ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE. WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED? NO ONE IS GETTING HELP FROM FORD. SOME ONE IS GOING TO DIE.
WHEN I AM DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY AND I HIT ANY SMALL BUMP THE TRUCK AND STEERING WHEEL SHAKES VIOLENTLY.
WHEN TRAVELING AT SPEED, IF YOU HIT SOMETHING ON THE ROADWAY, UNEVEN PAVEMENT, POTHOLE ETC. YOU WILL GET AN UNCONTROLLABLE WOBBLE IN THE FRONT END. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP IT IS TO HIT THE BRAKES. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME AT SPEEDS IN THE RANGE OF 55MPH TO 65MPH. THE STEERING WHEEL WITH SHAKE VIOLENTLY AND IT IS VERY EASY TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE TRUCK. I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN ABOUT 6 TIMES SINCE I HAVE HAD THE TRUCK ABOUT A YEAR, TWO OT THEM ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT.
DEATH WOBBLE. TRUCK SHAKES VIOLENTLY WHEN YOU HIT A SLIGHT BUMP AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND WILL CONTINUE TO SHAKE UNTIL SLOWED TO AROUND 40MPH. FORD REPLACED THE STEERING STABILIZER AND CLAIMED IT WAS FIXED, THREE MONTHS LATER IT IS STARTING AGAIN.
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 55 MPH ON A RURAL ROAD , I HIT A WASHBOARD SPOT IN THE ROAD . THE STEERING WHEEL STARTING OSCILLATING WILDLY . I ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF THE TRUCK AS THE FRONT END SEEMED LIKE IT WAS BOUNCING DOWN THE ROAD . I HAD TO SLOW DOWN TO ABOUT 20 MPH BEFORE THE TRUCK RECOVERED . FORTUNATELY I WAS ON A RURAL ROAD AND HAD NO SIDE BY SIDE TRAFFIC AS THAT COULD HAVE BEEN CATASTROPHIC.
TRAVELING AT AROUND 75 MPH IN A STRAIGHT LINE ON THE INTERSTATE, I HIT A BUMP THEN THE FRONT END AND STEERING WHEEL WILL BEGIN TO VIBRATE AND SHAKE. I HAD TO SLOW DOWN TO AROUND 50 MPH BEFORE IT STOPPED.
WHILE TRAVELING DOWN I45 AT 70MPH, THE FRONT END OF THE TRUCK STARTED TO WOBBLE REALLY BAD AND THE STEERING WHEEL STARTED TO WOBBLE BAD ALSO. IT WAS HARD TO HOLD ON TOO. I SLOWED DOWN AND GOT OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE RODE , AT ABOUT 30 MPH IT QUIT WOBBLING AND I PROCEEDED ON. SOON AFTER I WAS GOING ABOUT 65 MPH AND IT STARTED WOBBLING AGAIN. I SLOWED DOWN AS I DID BEFORE AND IT STOPPED WOBBLING AGAIN AROUND 30MPH. I PARKED WHEN I GOT HOME. I WENT TO WORK THE NEXT DAY AND IT STARTED WOBBLING AGAIN. EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT, IT WOBBLES NOW. I HAVE CALLED DEALERSHIP AND WILL BE TAKING T IN 6 DAYS FROM TODAY. THEY COULD NOT FIT ME IN UNTIL THEN.
DEATH WOBBLE STARTED AT 13K MILES. DEALERSHIP CHANGED VARIOUS PARTS IN FRONT END AND FIXED THE PROBLEM. AT 21K DEATH WOBBLE WAS BACK. DEALERSHIP CHANGED STEERING DAMPER. PROBLEM WAS FIXED. 33K ITS BACK. THE DAMPER IS NOT SUFFICIENT FOR THE TRUCK. ONCE THE DAMPER IS WORN, DEATH WOBBLE HAPPENS AT SPEEDS OVER 45MPH WHEN TRUCK ITS A BUMP IN THE ROAD. UNCONTROLABLE FRONT END SHAKING FORCES DRIVER TO SLAM ON BRAKES UNTIL ABOUT 25MPH WHEN SHAKING STOPS. THIS IS TERRIFYING AND HAS ALMOST CAUSED SEVERAL ACCIDENTS. THIS IS ALL OVER THE WEB. I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON EXPERIENCING THIS. PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS. I AM PETRIFIED TO TAKE THE TRUCK BACK OUT ON THE HIGHWAY. DRIVING AT LEAGAL HIGHWAY SPEED OF 75 ON US I30 IN SULPHUR SPRINGS TEXAS ON 11/11/2018. HIT A BUMP ON ROAD AND VEHICLES FRONT END BEGAN TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY. ALMOST CAUSED A MAJOR ACCIDENT AS I STRUGGLED TO KEEP UNDER CONTROL. ONCE I SLOWED TO 45 SHAKE WENT AWAY. HAPPENED AGAIN 15 LATER UNDER SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES. CLASSIC DEATH WOBBLE
AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THE STEERING WHEEL WILL SHAKE VIOLENTLY AFTER HITTING A BUMP IN THE ROAD. THE BUMP CAN BE AS MINOR AS A CRACK IN THE PAVEMENT OR EXPANSION JOINT. LARGER BUMPS ON ROUGH ROADS ARE WORSE. THE SHAKING IS SO SEVERE THAT STEERING IS IMPACTED AND SLOWING TO WELL BELOW HIGHWAY SPEED IS REQUIRED TO STOP THE WOBBLE. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE A VIDEO, BUT UPLOAD NOT ALLOWED BY YOUR SYSTEM.
10/19/2018, AT 54 MPH, ON A SMOOTH, 4 LANE FREEWAY AT 4:30 AM, MY TRUCK BEGAN SHAKING AND VIBRATING VIOLENTLY AS THOUGH I WAS DRIVING ON A ROLLING FLAT TIRE. I IMMEDIATELY LET OFF THE GAS TO SLOW DOWN AS QUICKLY AS I COULD WITHOUT BRAKING; ALTHOUGH DIFFICULT TO STEER, I WAS ABLE TO GET THE TRUCK OVER TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD TO INSPECT IT. I COULD NOT DETERMINE THERE WAS ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE TRUCK OR ANY EVIDENCE I UNKNOWINGLY RAN OVER SOMETHING. LATER THAT MORNING, CALLED 3 FORD DEALERSHIPS TO SEE IF I COULD GET MY TRUCK IN FOR INSPECTION, WHICH ALL 3 TOLD ME THIS ISSUE IS KNOW AS THE FORD DEATH WOBBLE. I WAS TOLD THAT MY TRUCK COULDN'T BE SEEN UNTIL THE FOLLOWING FRIDAY. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL TIRE SHOP WHOM I HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH ALL MY FLEET TRUCKS AND TRUST THEIR...
WHILE PASSING A SLOWER VEHICLE , I HIT A SMALL BUMP IN THE ROAD WHICH CAUSED THE STEERING WHEEL TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY (DEATH SHAKE) ALMOST LOSING CONTROL OF TRUCK. I HAD TO MOVE BACK OVER INTO MY LANE BEFORE I SHOULD OF AND PULL OFF ONTO THE NARROW SHOULDER WHICH CAUSED ABOUT 6 VEHICLES BEHIND ME TO SWERVE TO MISS ME. AFTER SLOWING TO ABOUT 20 MPH THE SHAKE WENT AWAY. I CONTINUED ON DRIVING TILL I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF INTO A SAFE AREA TO INSPECT FOR A CAUSE, BUT DID NOT SEE ANYTHING LOOSE OR ABNORMAL IN ANY STEERING OR SUSPENSION COMPONENTS. FORTUNATELY I WASN'T TOWING MY CAMPER AT THE TIME, OTHERWISE I MAY NOT HAVE BEEN HERE TO SUBMIT THIS REPORT.
WHILE TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 40-45 MPH, WHEN I HIT A BUMP OR SERIES OF BUMPS THE FRONT END TENDS TO 'JUMP' IF I'M CORNERING OR WILL BOUNCE THE FRONT END THAT EFFECTS THE STEERING OF THE TRUCK. AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS (70MPH) GOING STRAIGHT HIT A COUPLE BUMPS IN THE ROAD AND THE TRUCKS FRONT END STARTED VIOLENTLY BOUNCING TO THE POINT I HAD TO SLOW WAY DOWN TO LESS THAN 10MPH BEFORE IT SMOOTHED BACK OUT. THIS IS A VERY SCARY THING TO HAPPEN AT THOSE SPEEDS. I COULD HAVE EASILY LOST CONTROL AND CAUSED A HORRIBLE ACCIDENT.
EXPERIENCED A "DEATH WOBBLE" WHILE TRAVELING AT 70 MPH ON I-96. UNCONTROLLABLE SHAKING & BOUNCING OF THE FRONT WHEELS, CARRIED THROUGH TO STEERING WHEEL. ENTIRE VEHICLE SHOOK VIOLENTLY. VERY HARD TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE. DID NOT STOP UNTIL PULLED TO THE SHOULDER AND CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. SEVERAL VIDEO'S OF THIS PHENOMENON ON YOUTUBE, INCLUDING ONE FROM NHTSA SHOWING THIS HAPPENING. APPROPRIATELY NAMED.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO LANDMARK FORD TRUCKS, INC, BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO PROPERLY DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. AT 36,000 MILES 2017 F250 SD BEGAN TO EXHIBIT EXTREME LOSS OF CONTROL WITH STEERING AFTER TRAVELING OVER UNEVEN ROADWAY. ROAD BUMPS CAUSED VIOLENT SHAKING OF THE STEERING AT SPEEDS IN EXCESS OF 35 MPH. (DEATH WOBBLE). DEALER INSPECTED AND REPLACED TRACK BAR BALL JOINT AND NON-FUNCTIONAL STEERING DAMPER...DROVE 300 MILES AND WOBBLE IS BACK AGAIN. VERY UNSAFE CONDITION AS MALFUNCTIONS OCCUR IN TRAFFIC, NO RECALL OR TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN ISSUED BY FORD AT THIS TIME. SOMEONE IS GOING TO LOSE THEIR LIFE.
I HAVE A 2017 FORD F250 THAT HAS "DEATH WOBBLE" ISSUES. IT BECOMES UNCONTROLLABLE IF IT HITS ROUGH PAVEMENT ON THE HIGHWAY, USUALLY AT 70 MPH. IF THE TRUCK BEGINS TO SHAKE IT IS UNCONTROLLABLE. IT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER. THE ONLY WAY TO REGAIN CONTROL IS TO SLOW TO ABOUT 20 MPH OR STOP COMPLETELY. WHILE DECELERATING IT WILL GET WORSE THAT AT 70 MPH FOR A SHORT TIME, AND THEN SLOWLY STOP SHAKING. I HAVE BEEN TO THE HELLER FORD DEALERSHIP IN EL PASO, THEY REPLACED A STEERING STABILIZER. THE TRUCK NOW HAS A VIBRATION IN THE FRONT END, AND FEELS LIKE IT IS GOING TO START THE DEATH WOBBLE AGAIN. THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID IT WAS BECAUSE OF WORN TIRES. THEY HAVE 9/32" OF TREAD ON THE FRONT. THEY ARE HOWEVER DAMAGED FROM THE WOBBLE, FORD WILL NOT REPLACE THE TIRES. THE TEARS HAVE ABOUT 7/32"...
VIOLENT DEATH WOBBLE WHEN HITTING A BUMP AT SPEEDS OVER 50 MPH. VEHICLE BECOMES VERY UNSTABLE AND SHAKES VIOLENTLY. MUST REDUCE SPEED IMMEDIATELY TO UNDER 20 MPH TO REGAIN CONTROL. HAVE TAKEN TO DEALER AND THEY CANNOT FIX THE PROBLEM. INVESTIGATING LEMON LAW. INCREDIBLEY UNSAFE PROBLEM. HAVE SEEN NUMEROUS REPORTS OF THIS CONDITION AND STILL NO FIX/RECALL.
DEATH WOBBLE OCCURRED AT AROUND13K MILES. IT IS TRIGGERED BY HITTING A BUMP AT 45MPH OR FASTER. WHOLE FRONT END SHAKES SO BADLY YOUR ONLY OPTION IS TO SLAM ON THE BRAKES AND SWERVE ONTO THE SHOULDER. SHAKING GOES AWAY AT 25MPH. DEALERSHIP COULD NOT FIND A VISIBLE PROBLEM, BUT DID EXPERIENCE THE WOBBLE. MECHANIC WAS TERRIFIED. FORD HQ TOLD THEM TO RANDOMLY CHANGE COMPONENTS UNTIL THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED. IT DID GO AWAY UNTIL NOW. TRUCK HAS 22K MILES ON IT AND THE DEATH WOBBLE IS BACK. DEALERSHIPS CANT SEE ANYTHING WRONG BUT WONT DRIVE TRUCK LONG ENOUGH TO HIT THE 'RIGHT' BUMP TO TRIGGER THE WOBBLE, SO WONT RE-FIX IT. I PURCHASED MY 2017 FORD F 250 SUPER DUTY 4X4 IN SEPTEMBER OF 2017. I FIRST NOTICED AN ISSUE WITH THE SUSPENSION WHEN HITTING A BUMP IN THE ROAD AT 60 MPH AND ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF THE TRUCK. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO SLOW DOWN AND REGAIN CONTROL. I BEGIN TO DO SOME RESEARCH AND LEARN OF THE DEATH WOBBLE THAT FORD IS AWARE OF, I WILL NOW TAKE MY VEHICLE IN TO HAVE THE SUSPENSION CHECKED. SECONDLY, I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUE'S WITH MY SYNC3 SYSTEM, BLUETOOTH, CLIMATE CONTROL, EASY ENTRY AND EXIT FOR THE DRIVERS SEAT AND THE APPLE CAR PLAY FEATURE. AFTER TAKING MY VEHICLE TO THE SHOP, I WAS TOLD THE SYNC3 SYSTEM, A COUPLE MODULES AND THE CHASSIS HARNESS WAS REPLACED TO CORRECT THE ISSUE'S. I HAVE TAKEN MY TRUCK TO FORD THREE TIME FOR THE SYNC3 MALFUNCTION AND WAS TOLD NOT TO USE...
ON HIGHWAY - THE FRONT-END AND STEERING WHEEL BEGAN TO WOBBLE BACK AND FORTH, UNCONTROLLABLY AND VIOLENTLY REQUIRED BREAKING TO AROUND 20 MPH BEFORE GAINING CONTROL. IT IS DESCRIBED ON BOTH THE INTERNET AND SOME DEALERS AS "DEATH WOBBLE" THIS HAPPENED THREE TIMES OVER A SEVEN (7) HOUR DRIVE FROM CO TO OK AT SPEEDS OF 70, 65 AND 60MPH. FORD MOTOR CO REFUSED TO BUY BACK THE VEHICLE AND REFUSES TO ADMIT THERE IS AN ISSUE. I ASKED THEM TO BUY BACK THE VEHICLE. THEY WOULD NOT. I SOLD THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE FORD DEALER AT A $13,000 LOSS. I WILL LOOK FORWARD TO JOINING THE CLASS-ACTION LAW SUIT WHEN FILED AS IT IS A MATTER OF TIME VERSES "IF" ONE WILL BE FILED. 9800 MILES AND WHEN HITTING A BUMP AT 60-65 IT STARTS SHAKING VIOLENTLY AND THE STEERING WHEEL WILL JERK OUT OF YOUR HAND. YOU HAVE TO SLOW DOWN TO 25-40 BEFORE IT WILL STOP. DID IT 3 TIMES IN I-65 BETWEEN BOWLING GREEN AND LOUISVILLE KY. WIFE WILL NOT DRIVE OR RIDE IT ANYMORE. IN FOUR LANES OF TRAFFIC AND RAINING TRYING TO SLOW DOWN AND GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO SLOW DOWN IS VERY DANGEROUS
