My 2007 Ford Edge lost the use of my accelerometer pedal without any warning, while driving. The pedal collapsed to the floor. The engine continued to run. A wrench image appeared on the dashboard. After towing to service station the gas pedal worked again. No codes could be determined during TWO diagnostic procedures. After the first mechanics could not determine or diagnose a problem, nor replicate the problem, I had it towed to my local Ford Dealership. Their diagnosis claimed no indication of an issue on their diagnostic computer either. I’m afraid to drive my car. P0301 misfire in the engine and P0201 fuel injecter both should be recalled on all 2007 Ford edges as me and another lady both wrecked hitting a small poles and the business owners was nice and said to make it home safely since there was no damage. I have done plenty of research and Ford is refusing to do any recalls on the spark plugs in the engine and the fuel injecter. Please recalls those so no one gets seriously hurt from it.
Cruise control stops working and starts working again at varies times. Thermostat sticks to cause the the temp to go from normal to hot quick. Fuel gage/floater is never accurate with how much gas is in gas tank
I bought the vehicle used and I was told that it ran fine and there were no issues with the automobile. And then it started having warning issue lights and then I started having problems with steering and holding in the road and it begain popping when I turn the vehicle to the left . And then the recall with the fuel tank I am scared of the vehicle and I do carry children in it. The used car lot I got it from will not do an inspection on it. So I would like to have it looked at and see if does need to be fixed as so i don't have a accident and see about getting the gas tank fixed. I don't drive it very fast at all and won't take it a long distance .to scares to go far in it
I have a fuel leak, brought it to my standard shop and they informed me that the fuel tank has rusted through from the top of the fuel tank and needs a complete replacement. I have called Ford and they explained that my vehicle was inspected inspected recall 14s22 in March of 2016 and deemed no repair was needed, so no additional repair would be covered.

FOR 2-3 WEEKS, SMELLED GAS VAPORS WHEN WE GOT NEAR THE CAR TO GO SOMEWHERE. I GOT UNDER THE CAR AND TOOK A PHOTO OF A RUST SPOT WITH GAS STAINING NEAR IT. IT LOOKS LIKE IT WAS PART OF A RECALL (14V682000) BUT OUR CAR WAS NOT INCLUDED. WHEN I ASKED THE DEALER ABOUT IT THEY SAID THEY TOOK CARE OF THE RECALL ON ONE OF OUR PREVIOUS VISITS. I HAD TO PAY FOR A NEW GAS TANK.

FUEL LEAK AND MAJOR WATER CORROSION TO UNDERCARRIAGE OF CAR. TRIED TO GET WHEEL BARRINGS DONE AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD HAVE TO BE WELDED OFF AND ON. I AM STILL PAYING ON THIS CAR AND IT IS UNSAFE. THEY PRICED THIS CAR AT 10000 WITH FINANCE CHARGE WHEN I WAS TOLD THE CAR WAS 6500 I PUT 1500 DOWN PLUS 746 MAKE UP DOWNPAYMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS IDENTIFED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 14V682000 AND WAS TAKEN TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP ON AUGUST 22, 2016 TO HAVE THE NECESSARY REPAIRS COMPLETED. A STRONG FUEL ODOR WAS COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. AFTER LESS THAN 30 MINUTES, THE FORD DEALERSHIP CALLED AND SAID THE REPAIRS WERE COMPLETED. THE ONLY REPAIRS THAT WERE COMPLETED WERE FOUR NEW BOLTS (I HAVE THE INVOICE FROM THE FORD DEALERSHIP SHOWING ONLY FOUR NEW BOLTS WERE INSTALLED). THE FUEL TANK WAS NOT REPLACED, NO CORROSION PREVENTATIVE WAS APPLIED TO THE TANK, AND NO INSPECTION REPORT WAS PROVIDED. STARTING IN AUGUST 2017, A STRONG FUEL ODOR STARTED AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP, AND I WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL TANK HAD SO MUCH CORROSION IT WAS STARTING TO SPLIT IN ONE CORNER. THE FORD DEALERSHIP SAID IT RECOMMENDED A NEW FUEL TANK, AND THAT IT WOULD NOT...
CAR HAS SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER, ACCELERATOR DOESN'T WORK, BUT THE CAR DOESN'T ACTUALLY DIE OUT. THIS HAPPENS AT ALL SPEEDS, THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS ON HIGHWAYS AND IN TRAFFIC. THE WRENCH LIGHT COMES ON. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH MANY FORDS AND THE FIX IS THE THROTTLE BODY REPLACEMENT. BAD ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY AND IT'S SENSOR. THIS IS A COMMON AND COSTLY REPAIR WITH FORD VEHICLES BUT THEY HAVE REFUSED A RECALL. IT IS DANGEROUS AS IT CAUSES YOUR VEHICLE TO COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING. IT HAPPENS FREQUENTLY WHEN ACCELERATING OR RANDOMLY WHEN DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED I WAS DRIVING 60 MPH AND MY CAR SUDDENLY SHUT DOWN AND LOCKED UP THEN WAS UNABLE TO START SO I HAD TO GET IT TOWED.
FORD DEALER HAS MY 2007 FORD EDGE DUE TO IT STALLING OUT WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH ON A HIGHWAY CAUSING MY ENGINE TO DIE SO I HAD TO GET TOWED HOME AND OFF OF THE HIGHWAY. THE DEALER ORIGINALLY THOUGHT IT WAS THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY BUT THEY HAVE NOW DETERMINED THAT WAS NOT THE PROBLEM. INSTEAD IT IS THE PCM WHICH IS COSTING ME OVER $1500, IF THAT EVEN FIXES THIS. PLUS I HAVE BEEN PAYING FOR A RENTAL CAR BECAUSE THE DEALERS DON'T HAVE FREE LOANER VEHICLES. SO THIS WHOLE THING IS GOING TO COST ME ABOUT $2000. NOTICED FORD HAD HAD DOCUMENTED PROBLEMS BUT WAS TOLD BY FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON THAT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED. WONDERING WHEN IF AT ALL ALL THEIR "TB'S" WILL BE COVERED? VEHICLE RUNS WELL EXCEPT FOR THE ALLEGED "TB" PENDING ISSUE.

RESTARTED CAR AND EVERYTHING APPEARED NORMAL EXCEPT CAR HAD VERY LITTLE POWER TO MOVE UNTIL ABOUT 10 MPH WAS REACHED WHEN A HARD TRANSMISSION SHIFT PUT CAR INTO GEAR AND ALL BECAME FULLY OPERATIONAL. THIS HAPPENED THREE TIMES IN A ONE WEEK PERIOD OF TIME, ALWAYS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. SUBSEQUENT RESEARCH BY INDEPENDENT MECHANIC INDICATED THIS A COMMON PROBLEM REQUIRING REPLACEMENT OF TWO SPEED SENSORS IN TRANSMISSION AT COST OF $629.00.
