ON EARLY DECEMBER 2015, WATER LEAK INSIDE MY VEHICLE, I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO KENDALL DODGE, THE BACK SEAT CONTAINERS WERE FILL WITH WATER, THE CARPET WAS WET AS WELL, KENDALL DODGE KEEP THE VEHICLE FOR A ONE AN A HALF WEEK, WHEN THEY CALL ME TO ADVISED ME THAT THE VEHICLE WAS READY WHEN I SHOW UP TO THE DEALER TO PICK UP THE CAR THE CASE MANAGER SHOW ME THE VEHICLE IT WAS NOTED THAT THE BACK SEAT CONTAINER WERE HALF WAY WITH WATER, I ASK THE CASE MANAGER WHAT WAS DONE IN MY VEHICLE SHE COULDN'T ANSWER SHE APOLOGIZED AND SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE WILL SEND THE CAR BACK TO THE SHOP, 3 DAYS LATER THEY CALL ME AGAIN TO TELL ME THAT THE VEHICLE WAS READY, WHEN I PICK UP THE CAR AN INSPECTION WAS DONE AND IT WAS NOTED THAT THE BACK CONTAINER HAD...

ON OCTOBER 2, 2015 WE PURCHASED A NEW 2015 DODGE JOURNEY THAT WAS UNDER A RECALL THAT WE WERE NOT INFORMED ABOUT FROM CARL GREGORY DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP IN ALBANY, GEORGIA. THE ENGINE BEAUTY COVER MAY DETACH FROM THE ENGINE AND COME IN CONTACT WITH THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. SAFETY RISK: IF THE ENGINE BEAUTY COVER REMAINS IN CONTACT WITH THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER, UNDERHOOD SMOKE AND/OR A FIRE MAY OCCUR WITHOUT WARNING. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE BY PLACING MY FOOT ON THE BREAK AND PRESSING THE START ENGINE BUTTON, THE CAR INITIALLY BEGAN TO START BUT THEN SHUT OFF (IT WAS ON A HALF TANK OF GAS). I RELEASED THE BREAK, AND THEN MADE A SECOND ATTEMPT; PRESSING THE BREAK AND PRESSING THE START ENGINE BUTTON. THIS TIME THE ENGINE REPEATED THE INITIAL VEHICLE START SOUND (AS IF IT WERE COUGHING), UNTIL I HIT THE START ENGINE BUTTON TO TURN CANCEL THE PROCESS OR TURN THE ENGINE OFF. THE VEHICLE STARTED SUCCESSFULLY ON THIRD ATTEMPT. WHEN I GOT HOME, I NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE ICON WAS ON - NOT BLINKING, JUST ON. I TURNED OFF MY ENGINE, AND THEN TURNED IT BACK ON AND THE ENGINE ICON LIT UP AGAIN. THIS MORNING WHEN I WAS DISCUSSING IT WITH MY HUSBAND HE LET ME KNOW THAT A FEW DAYS...

I HAVE HAD MY NEW 2015 JOURNEY SINCE MARCH 2015. THE FIRST INCIDENT WAS IN JUNE 2015. I WAS DRIVING AND MY CAR DIED WHILE DRIVING. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD THANK GOD NO ONE HIT ME FROM BEHIND. I PUT MY VEHICLE IN PARK AND RESTARTED IT AND IT STARTED SO I THOUGHT OK IT WAS A ONE TIME THING. NOPE AGAIN IN JULY IT DID THE EXACT SAME THING WHILE MY HUSBAND AND MY KIDS WERE IN THE CAR. THE CAR RESTARTED SO I TOOK IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE SECOND TIME WHERE THEY KEPT MY CAR FOR 2 DAYS AND COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. SO I TOOK IT HOME AND THE VERY NEXT DAY IT DIED AGAIN. I NOW HAVE A OPEN REPAIR CASE WITH CHRYSLER HOWEVER I HAVE BEEN GOING BACK AND FORTH LIKE A PING PONG BALL....

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE REQUIRED FURTHER INVESTIGATION AND CONTINUED TO REMAIN AT THE DEALER FOR TWO CONSECUTIVE WEEKS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,800.
WAS DRIVING OUTT OF STATE IN A 5 MONTH OLD VEHICLE. WE THEN STOPPED AT A FOOD PLACE FOR ABOUT 25 MINUTES. WHEN I TRIED TO START THE CAR, BRAKE PEDAL WAS HARD AND WOULD NOT GIVE WAY, DASH LIGHTS LIT UP RUN LIGHT AS WELL BUT VEHICLE DID NOT START. ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS THE SAME THING HAPPENED WITH NO RESULTS. AFTER 5 ATTEMPTS, THE VEHICLE FINALLY STARTED AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT LIT UP. LIGHT STAYED ON FOR 4 DAYS AND THEN WENT OFF. CONTACTED DEALERSHIP, AFTER INSPECTION DETERMINED CRANKSHAFT SENSOR MESSAGE WAS RECORDED. PART WAS ORDERED AND REPLACED. HOPE THIS FIXES THE PROBLEM. HAVE SEEN ALL OLDER MODELS HAVE SIMILAR ISSUES. HOPE DODGE ADDRESSES ANT EXSISTING ISSUES ON NEW MODELS.
WHILE DRIVING HOME MY 2015 DODGE JOURNEY (WHICH ONLY HAD 2,108 MILES ON IT) DIED WHILE DECELERATING TO TURN INTO MY NEIGHBORHOOD. PRAISE GOD, NO ONE WAS BEHIND ME AND I HAD TO CRANK THE WHEEL TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AS THE POWER STEERING AND BRAKES ALSO DIED. THERE WERE NO WARNING SIGNS, INDICATORS, LIGHTS, ETC. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND HIT THE START BUTTON AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD THEM I WOULD BE BRINGING IT TO THEM IN THE MORNING. THEY HAVE NOW HAD MY CAR FOR 5 DAYS AND CAN'T FIND ANY ERROR CODES IN THEIR COMPUTER WHEN RUNNING DIAGNOSTICS AND "CAN'T REPRODUCE THE STALL". THEY ARE KEEPING IT FOR A FEW MORE DAYS TO "PUT MORE MILES ON IT TO SEE IF THEY CAN REPRODUCE IT" AND ALSO HAVE A CALL INTO THEIR...
I HAVE HAD MY CAR RIGHT AT 3 MONTHS AND IT JUST SHUTS OFF WITH NO WARNING. I HAVE CHILDREN IN THIS CAR GOING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AND IT JUST SHUTS OFF. THERE IS NO WARNING SIGNS AND NO WAY TO GET IT OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I'M JUST DEAD IN THE WATER HOPING NO ONE WILL REAR END US.
