MY VAN HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH A CYLINDER 5 MISS FIRE I HAVE REPLACED THE FUEL INJECTOR, SPARK PLUGS, AND IGNITOR PLUGS. WHEN THE VEHICLE STARTS I HEAR A KNOCK IN THE MOTOR AND THE DOES NOT RUN SMOOTHLY. WHILE MOVING THE VEHICLE SOMETIMES STRUGGLES TO GAIN SPEED FROM A STOPPED POSITION. I HAVE NOTICED A REDUCTION IN MY FUEL MILEAGE SINCE THE ISSUE APPEARED. *TR
AS I DRIVE IT AND PUT INTO STOP ON STOP LIGHT. THE BREAK DIDN'T ENGAGE. I HAD TO STEP ALL THE WAY OUT AND IT ENGAGE. IT FELT LIKE I LOST THE BRAKE FLUID . BUT THEN AFTER THAT.. WHEN THE GREEN LIGHT WENT ON.. THE VAN JUST OPERATED ITSELF JUST FINE. AFTER FEW MONTHS.. THE VAN STARTS OUT FINE BUT CANT BE DRIVEN. AS OF NOW WE MANAGED TO PARK IT IN BUSINESSES PLAZA. AND THE A/C FEELS LIKE OR SOUNDS LIKE ACTING UP. AND NOW, TOTALLY CANT BE DRIVEN . *TR

THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN GIVING ME PROBLEMS THE MISFIRE THE PUTTING LOSE OF POWER ON THE HIGHWAY [XXX] NEAR GOT ME KILLED TOOK THE CAR TO MY MECHANIC WHEN ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON CODE READ BANK1 02 SENSOR CHANGED IT LEFT THE SHOP NO PROBLEM TWO DAYS LATER ON HIGHWAY AGAIN ENGINE LIGHT STARTS TO BLINK ON AND OFF AGAIN CAR STARTS LOSING POWER TAKE CAT BACK TO MECHANIC CODE IS NOW READING COIL 6 AND NEED TUNE UP GET THAT DONE CAR IS NOT DRIVING RIGHT AND THE ENGINE LIGHT IS BACK ON THIS VEHICLE IS A 2016 AND ALREADY GIVING ME TROUBLE I HAVE ALREADY REPLACED BOTH DOOR MOTORS I AM A SINGLE MOTHER ON A FIXED INCOME WITH A CAR PAYMENT ON A [XXX] LEMON! SOMEONE NEED TO CHECK THESE COMPLAINTS OUT ON THE VEHICLE ASAP I DON'T HAVE A LOT OF MONEY TO KEEP PAYING FOR...
CAR LOSES ALL POWER AND STEERING IS LOST AS WELL. THIS HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES NOW, WE HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY CANNOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR OR RECREATE THE ISSUE. WE HAVE A FAMILY OF 6 AND ARE WORRIED ABOUT DRIVING OUR CAR, THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED.
I HAVE HAD THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION REBUILT AND THE CAR IS NOT QUITE FOUR YEARS OLD. THE REAR AC HAS BEEN FIXED, THE T.V. THAT CAME WITH THE CAR HAS BEEN REPAIRED. THE DOOR LOCKS HAVE BEEN FIXED. THE FUEL INJECTED HAVE BEEN REPAIRED AND NOW I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE CADILLAC CONVERTER. IT CAR HAS HAD SO MANY PROBLEMS AND A LOT OF THE PROBLEMS WERE SOME OF YOU RECALL. I WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER DODGE.
WHEN I BRAKE HARD (FOR EXAMPLE AT A RED LIGHT), MY VAN SHUTS OFF. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES OVER THE LAST MONTH.
WHILE DRIVING, SEVERAL DASH PANEL LIGHTS FLASHED, LOST POWER STEERING, LOST ABILITY TO INCREASE SPEED WITH GAS PEDAL. ENGINE STAYED ON BUT ONLY AT IDLE. ABLE TO GET OUT OF TRAFFIC ONTO SIDE ROAD AND STOP. TURNED KEY TO OFF AND THEN TRIED TO START CAR AGAIN. IT WORKED ON THE SECOND TRY. SEEMED TO OPERATE NORMALLY WITH ONLY THE CLOCK RESET TO 12:00AM. THIS SAME SEQUENCE HAPPENED TWICE, ABOUT A WEEK APART. NO RAIN EITHER TIME BOTH DURING DAYLIGHT.
WAS SITTING AT GAS STATION WITH THE VAN AT AN IDLE. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. AFTER RUNNING DIAGNOSTICS IT WAS DETERMINED IT HAD A CYLINDER 4 MISFIRE. I HAD THE SPARK PLUG AND IGNITION COIL REPLACED AND STILL HAVE THE CYLINDER 4 MISFIRE. HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THE CYLINDER HEAD HAS GONE BAD AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I WAS ALSO TOLD MOPAR HAS HAD PROBLEMS LIKE THIS IN THE PAST.
TE LEFT CYLINDER HEAD WENT BAD AT 80,000 MILES
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, AN ABNORMAL NOISE SOUNDED FROM THE HOOD OF THE ENGINE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000.
THE CAR HAS NOISE.
THE FIRST THING TO GO WRONG WITH THIS VEHICLE WAS THE TELEVISION STOPPED WORKING AND THEY FIXED IT ONCE AND IT WENT OUT AGAIN BUT I DID NOT TAKE IT BACK BECAUSE IT WOULD HAVE COST ME OUT OF POCKET .THE NEXT THING TO GO WRONG WAS THE DRIVER SIDE BACK DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN THEY HAD TO KEEP IT FOR A DAY OR TWO FOR THAT. THE NEXT THING TO GO WRONG WAS THE CYLINDER HEAD THEY TOOK A WEEK TO FIX IT BUT THE CAR STILL HAD WEAK ENGINE PERFORMANCE AND ENGINE MISFIRE SO I TOOK IT BACK FOR THEM TO CHECK IT AGAIN AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. THE WINDSHIELD WIPER SQUIRTER IS ALSO BROKEN. THE NEXT THING TO GO WRONG WAS THE GEAR SHIFTER, THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE AND WAS STUCK IN DRIVE WITH KEY STUCK IN THE IGNITION WE HAD...
WHILE DRIVING THROUGH A INTERSECTION TURNING RIGHT THE ENGINE SHUTOFF WITHOUT WARNING. ALONG WITH THE ENGINE SHUTOFF, POWER STEERING WAS LOST AND EVERYTHING ON THE DASHBOARD INCLUDING THE SPEEDOMETER, RPMS, RADIO. WITH THE LOSS OF ACCELERATION AND POWER STEERING IT MADE IT VERY DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER TO SAFETY. ONCE STOPPED I WAS ABLE TO PLACE THE VEHICLE IN PARK I TURNED THE KEY TO OFF AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND IT STARTED BACK UP NORMALLY. ABSOLUTELY NO ENGINE LIGHTS OR WARNING WERE SHOWING BEFORE OR AFTER THIS INCIDENT. I SUSPECT THAT THE ISSUE IS THE TIPM BUT CAN'T BE EXACTLY SURE.
THIS IS A 2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN R/T WITH MILEAGE READING 99570. THE ENGINE IS THE 3.6L FLEX DOHC. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. HAD IT CHECKED IT CODED FOR A MISFIRE IN NUMBER 2 CYLINDER. PAID FOR A FULL TUNE UP. LIGHT CAME BACK ON NEXT DAY TOOK THE VAN BACK TO BE CHECKED AGAIN. THEY DID ANOTHER FULL TUNE UP IN CASE OF A POSSIBLE FAULTY PART.CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REMAINED ON. THE CERTIFIED MECHANIC THERE SAID THAT IT'S A COMMON IN THESE ENGINES AND WE MAY COULD CHECK TO SEE IF THERE IS A RECALL. AFTER LOOKING AROUND ON THE INTERNET SEEN WHERE THERE HAS BEEN THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS TO DODGE AND CHRYSLER DEALERSHIPS ALL ACROSS THE COUNTRY FOR THE SAME THING AND IT'S ABOUT A $3000 FIX
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON, CHECKED #2 CYLINDER MISSFIRE, HAD THE COIL CHANGED, THE FUEL INJECTOR CHANGED, LIGHT CAME BACK ON. 73000 MILES, DODGE RECALLED THE 2016 GRAND CARAVAN JUST NOT MY VIN NUMBER,I CALLED AND THEY WILL NOT DO THE REPAIR FOR FREE EVEN THOUGH SAME MODEL YEAR HAS THE SAME DEFECT, #2 CYLINDER
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE HESITATED AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR MADE AN ABNORMAL NOISE, WIRES WERE EXPOSED, AND THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR DID NOT OPEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE COIL AND SPARK PLUGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.

WHILE THE CONTACT WAS INSPECTING UNDER THE HOOD, A BURNING ODOR WAS PRESENT. IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT A WIRE HARNESS HAD MELTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO STEVE WHITE DODGE(3470 HWY 70 SE, NEWTON, NC) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIRE HARNESS, BATTERY, AND ALTERNATOR WERE FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND A REPRESENTATIVE WAS SENT TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.
I BOUGHT A 2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN WITH 77,438 MILES. THE VEHICLE RAN GREAT TILL THE END OF NOVEMBER 2018. AT WHICH TIME WE STARTED HAVING MAJOR ISSUES. 1ST THE VEHICLE WILL SELF ACCELERATE WITH TO EXCESSIVE SPEEDS OVER 80 MPH WITH NO ASSISTANCE. YOU HAVE TO HOLD THE BREAK TO KEEP IT UNDER CONTROL. 2ND YOU CAN TAKE THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION, CLOSE THE DOOR AND THE CAR CONTINUE TO RUN. 3RD WHEN STARTING THE VAN THE TRANSMISSION GOES INTO LIMP MODE NOT ALLOWING YOU TO SHIFT THE CAR TO REVERSE OR DRIVE. TO RELEASE THE YOU HAVE TO HIT THE SAFETY OVERRIDE SWITCH PLACE THE VAN IN GEAR AND THEN YOU ARE ONLY ABLE TO DRIVE TO THE SPEED OF 30 MPH. WE HAVE TAKEN THIS VAN TO THE SHOP THAT DRIVE TIME WARRANTY COMPANY DIRECTED US TO WHICH WAS PEP BOYS. THEY WERE NOT ABLE...
BOUGHT THE CAR USED WITH 35,982 MILES. A YEAR AFTER I PURCHASED THE VAN MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. CHANGED THE OIL AND SPARK PLUGS. THE LIGHT STAYED ON AND CONTINUED TO RUN ROUGH. WE CONTACTED DODGE MULTIPLE TIMES TO BE TOLD MY CAR WASN'T UNDER WARRANTY. WE TOOK MY CAR TO BE PUT ON THE COMPUTER AND FOUND A FEW SMALL ISSUES. I BOUGHT A FEW PARTS FROM DODGE AND AGAIN TALKED TO THEM ABOUT THE WARRANTY. WAS TOLD IT STOPPED AT 30,000 MILES. TOOK MY CAR BACK TO THE MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD I HAVE LOW COMPRESSION IN CYLINDER TWO. I CALLED DODGE TO FIND OUT HOW MUCH THEY WOULD CHARGE ME TO FIX IT. TO FIND OUT MY CAR WAS UNDER WARRANTY AND I HAD JUST WENT OVER THE MILEAGE OF 60,000. SO I WAS LIED TO AND MY CAR IS STILL MESSED UP. I HAVE...
THE VEHICLE IS 2 YEARS OLD I HAVE OWNED FOR 7 MONTHS. I START THE CAR IT WILL NOT GO INTO GEAR. I SHUT THE CAR OFF THE MOTOR KEEPS RUNNING. THEN IT WILL GO IN GEAR AND MOVE BY ITSELF.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSAXLE OIL PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT THEY WOULD FURTHER DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
