CAR CUTS OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE ALSO STALLS WHILE DRIVING AND WON'T PICK UP SPEED.
THE VEHICLE IS SHUTTING DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC,INDICATOR ON DASH WILL FLASH SHIFT TO "P".THE WILL NOT RESTART, YOU WILL HAVE TO TRY A RESTART AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN SITTING. ONCE TRYING TO RESTART IT WILL SOUND AS IF IT DOESNT WANT TO BUT FINALLY WILL. THIS PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED 5 TO 6 TIMES ALREADY. I'M AFRAID AN ACCIDENT WILL HAPPEN WHEN DRIVING 50 MILES PER HOUR THEN COMING TO COMPLETE STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF HEAVY TRAFFIC. THE CAR HAS STOPPED IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY AND MAJOR MILE ROADS. PLEASE ASSIST ME WITH THIS EXTREME DANGEROUS PROBLEM.I HAVE READ THROUGH RESEARCH THAT THE TCM PINS ARE NOT CONNECTING IN THE HARNESS AND REPROGRAMMING SOME THINGS.THIS CREATES AN UNSAFE CONDITION FOR DRIVING.

UPON ENGAGING THE PUSH START FEATURE, THE BRAKES AND THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AND ALL OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS ILLUMINATED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT COULD NOT DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL AT ALL. THE CONTACT DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY AND RESET THE VEHICLE IN ORDER TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,680.
THE CAR WILL NOT CRANK EVEN THOUGH THE KEY FOB IS IN CLOSE PROXIMITY. IT CAN TAKE UP TO 1 HOUR (SOMETIMES MORE, SOMETIMES LESS) TO GET THE CAR CRANKED. THE CAR STARTS AT RANDOM...NO SPECIAL TECHNIQUE CAN BE USED TO GET THIS CAR TO CRANK AS IT SHOULD. THE KEY FOB WORKS FOR LOCKING, UNLOCKING DOORS; HOWEVER, IT DOES NOT WORK TO START IGNITION. I HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY IN THE FOB, HAD THE CAR'S BATTERY TESTED (IT'S IN GOOD WORKING ORDER), TAKEN IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP OF PURCHASE TWICE. I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE FOR SEVERAL DAYS NOW IN UPPER 90 DEGREE WEATHER IN FLORIDA. THE VEHICLE IS IMMOBILE/STATIONARY. THE OCCURRENCES HAVE HAPPENED AT HOME, WORK, GROCERY STORE, RESTAURANT. ADDITIONALLY I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE CAR SKIPS WHILE IN MOTION. IT FEELS AS IF SOMETHING GETS HUNG UP AND THEN RELEASES. WE TRAVELED TWO HOURS AWAY FOR AN EVENT. WHEN WE WERE LEAVING THE PARK THE CAR STALLED. NO STEERING, NO BRAKES, AND NO DASH LIGHTS. WE ALMOST SIDE SWIPED A CAMPER BEFORE THE CAR FINALLY STOPPED. ANOTHER TIME DRIVING DOWN A BUSY HIGHWAY THE CAT JUST DIES. ETC LIGHT COMES ON. WE TAKE THE CAR TI THE DEALER AND THEY TELL US ITS BECAUSE THE OIL WAS LOW. I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW THE OIL BEING LOW IS GOING TO STALL OUT THE CAR, THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF OIL ISSUES. NO LIGHTS WERE ON IN THE DASH. THIS CAR IS UNSAFE.
THE AIRBAG SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON I TOOK IT IN TO WHERE I BOUGHT IT AND THEY SAID THEY HAD TO RESET IT . IT WENT OFF AND 2 DAYS LATER IT CAME BACK ON AND NEVER WENT OFF.. NOW IT STAYS ON. A COUPLE WEEKS AGO MY CAR STALLED AND TOTALLY SHUT DOWN AS I WAS TURNING INTO MY DRIVEWAY. IT COMPLETELY LOCKED UP INCLUDING THE BRAKES, STEERING, TRANSMISSION AND WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING. I TRIED TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK HOWEVER THE CONTROL KNOB TO DO SO WAS LOCKED AND WOULDN'T MOVE. THE ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN BUT ALL THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS WERE WORKING AND SEVERAL SERVICE MESSAGES CYCLED THROUGH THE DISPLAY SCREEN. MY HUSBAND HAD TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY, WHICH RESET EVERYTHING AND ALLOWED US TO START THE CAR AND PULL IT OUT OF THE ROAD AND INTO THE DRIVEWAY. I CALLED CHRYSLER ROADSIDE AND MY CAR WAS TOWED TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP. AFTER 3 DAYS IN THE SERVICE DEPT I WAS INFORMED THEY COULD NOT RECREATE THE ISSUE THAT CAUSED THE CAR TO TOTALLY SHUT DOWN AND LOCK UP WHILE DRIVING. THEY DROVE THE CAR, HOWEVER NO CODES WERE...
I HAVE A ENGINE LIGHT ON THAT IS REGARDED TO A ACTIVE GRILL SHUTTER. I HAVE HAD THE DEALER LOOK AT IT AND THEY SAY THE MOTOR HAS GONE BAD AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACE. CAR HAS 47K MILES ON IT!!!!!! NOPE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. TODAY I GET IN MY CAR AND MY AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON AND SAYS TO SERVICE AIR BAG SYSTEM. WHILE DRIVING THE LIGHT WILL COME ON AND GO OFF ABOUT EVERY 2 MILES.

DROVE THE CAR FROM GERMANTOWN MD TO WASHINGTON DC FOR A PROGRAM, GOT IN THE CAR TWO HOURS LATER. DOOR UNLOCKED WITH REMOTE, PLACE FOOT ON BRAKE, DASH LIGHTS AND RADIO TURNS ON CAR WON'T START. THE FACTORY BATTERY ON THIS YEAR AND MODEL IS BAD. CAUSES THE CAR TO NOT START RANDOMLY AND COMPLETELY SHUTS OFF DURING DRIVING DUE TO THE FAULTY BATTERY.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BE REPAIRED AT MARSHALL CHRYSLER OF MARSHALL, TEXAS WHERE THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V529000 (POWER TRAIN). THE CONTACT BELIEVED THAT THE REPAIR CAUSED THE ELECTRICAL FAILURE IN THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000.
THE PURCHASE OF THIS CAR HAS BEEN A HEADACHE SINCE THE FIRST MONTH OF OWNERSHIP. I IMMEDIATELY HAD TO HAVE A NEW TRANSMISSION PUT INTO A BRAND NEW CAR, WHICH IS UNHEARD OF. THERE HAVE BEEN AT LEAST TWO RE-CALLS FOR DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE CAR AND I'M TIRED OF SPENDING MONEY ON A CAR THAT IS A LEMON!!!
FIRST, MY CAR PROBLEM STARTS 2 WEEKS AGO WITH HEATING SENSOR STOPPED WORKING SUDDENLY AND IT SHOWS TAKE TO THE DEALER AND I FIXED IT. AFTER THAT PROBLEM CONTINUES WITH THE NEW SENSOR AS WELL. AFTER DRIVING COUPLE OF MILES, IT SHOWS YOU REQUIRED A SERVICE OF THE SENSOR AND IT GOES ON/OFF ON ITS OWN WHEN I TAKE TO THE DEALER IT SAYS IT'S FINE AFTER INSPECTION. AFTER THAT CHECK ENGINE STARTS POPPING UP ALONG WITH SERVICE OF HEAT ENGINE SENSOR. I THINK I HAVE WASTED MY HARD EARNED MONEY ON CHRYSLER 200 AND I AM NOT GONNA REFER IT TO ANYONE AS I HAVE DRIVEN HONDA BEFORE SO EXPECTATIONS WERE HIGH.
THE PASSENGER AIRBAG ALARM STAYS ON AND INTERRUPTS THE INFO ON THE DASH. THE RADIO HAS TURNED UP ON ITS OWN AND WOULD NOT TURN OFF EVEN WHEN THE CAR WAS TURNED OFF AND DOOR OPENED. THE ENGINE CONSTANTLY STALLS ESPECIALLY WHEN MAKING A HARD OR FAST TURN OR WHEN BRAKING HARD. SOMETIMES JT CUTS OFF WHEN IDLING. IT IS ALWAYS HARD TO GET RESTARTED, AND REQUIRES SEVERAL MINUTES OF TRYING. THE RADIO PROBLEMS HAPPEN WHEN STATIONARY. THE AIRBAG LIGHT US CONSTANT DURING STATIONARY AND MOVEMENT. THE ENGINE STALLS HAPPEN MOSTLY WHEN DECELERATION OR HARD TURNS OR BRAKING. SOMETIMES A RED LIGHT WITH LIGHTENJNG BOLT APPEARS ON DASH AND THE CAR WILL RIDE VERY ROUGH UNTIL TURNED OFF AND TURNED BACK ON
THE CAR HAS STALLED ON ME MULTIPLE TIMES WHILE IN MOTION AND TWICE WHILE COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP. IT HAS OCCURRED ON THE HIGHWAY AS WELL AS STATIONERY ROADS. I HAD IT TOWED TO CHRYSLER ON 5/16/17 AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE OR FIND THE PROBLEM. I PICKED IT UP ON 5/23/17 & THE CAR HAS STALLED ON ME THREE TIMES SINCE THEN. I DO NOT HAVE ANY PICTURES; HOWEVER, I WAS ABLE TO CAPTURE A VIDEO.

FROM JANUARY - APRIL 2017, I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE INSTANCES OF LOSING THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE OR SHIFT GEARS WHILE MAKING LEFT HAND TURNS. THE CAR THROWS UP ERROR MESSAGES REGARDING THE LOSS OF PERFORMANCE SHIFTING AND "LIGHTNING BOLT" SYMBOL. I HAVE TO COAST TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND RESTART THE ENGINE TO GET MOVING AGAIN. THE LAST TIME IT OCCURRED, I HAD A TRUCK BEHIND ME. LUCKILY I WAS MOVING FAST ENOUGH AND WAS ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE WAY WITHOUT BEING INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE HAD THE CAR INTO THE LOCAL CHRYLSER DEALERSHIP ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WHERE THEY HAVE THOUGHT THEY HAVE FOUND THE PROBLEM IN AN ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR. IT IS CURRENTLY IN THE SHOP AGAIN AND HAS BEEN FOR THE PAST MONTH AND THEY STILL CAN'T FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM.
ELECTRICAL FIRE ORIGINATING IN THE CONSOLE WHILE THE CAR WAS AT REST BUT OCCUPIED AT A GAS STATION . THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE AND DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY TO PREVENT A FIRE RE START . CHRYSLER DENIED ANY RESPONSIBILITY SAYING THAT THE VEHICLE LEFT THE FACTORY DEFECT FREE . THE CAR HAS BEEN DECLARED A TOTAL LOSS AS A RESULT OF THIS FIRE . I DON'T HAVE A WAY TO SCAN AND UPLOAD PICTURES OR DOCUMENTS BUT I HAVE THE FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT AND CAN PROVIDE PICTURES OR ANY OTHER REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION .

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WATER PUMP NEEDED REPLACEMENT AND HAVING ELECTRICAL ISSUES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN BACK TO THE DEALER AT LEAST SIX TIMES SINCE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE IN MARCH OF 2017. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE IS CONTINUING TO HAVE THESE DEFAULTS AS SHOWN IN PICTURES I'M EXPERIENCING MORE DEFAULTS IN THIS VEHICLE AND THAT I WAS TOLD THAT THERE IS NO RECALL FOR CHRYLSER CARS AND THAT I'M AFRAID OF EITHER GETTING HURT OR SOMEONE ELSE GETTING HURT MAYBE EVEN KILLED DUE TO THESE FAULTY ISSUES THAT NEEDS TO BE CHECKING AND THAT I DON'T HAVE ANY KIND OF WARRANTY ON THIS VEHICLE.

TRANSMISSION IS SHIFTING HARD TAKE OUT OF GEAR WHILE I AM MOVING
I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE CAR STALLED SEVERAL TIMES. I SAT ON THE SIDE LANE AND TURNED THE CAR OFF FOR A MINUTE. I STARTED IT UP AGAIN AND PROCEEDED TO GET OFF THE HIGHWAY THE CAR ACCELERATED LESS THAN 20 MILES PER HOUR. MY DAUGHTER AND I WERE TERRIFIED BEFORE THE CAR STOPPED SUDDENLY AND CARS HAD TO BREAK BEHIND US TO AVOID HITTING THE CAR. I HAD TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND PUT MY HAZARD LIGHTS ON AND IT TOOK A WHILE FOR THE CAR TO START UP AGAIN FOR ME TO PULL ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. IT HAS DONE THIS MORE THAN JUST THIS INCIDENT. AT STOP LIGHTS AND WHILE DRIVING ON THE STREET THE ENGINE WILL STALL AND TAKE A MINUTE TO START UP AGAIN.
RECALL ON ELECTRICAL SURGE ISSUE PERFORMED ON 4/6/2017; SINCE THEN MY AIR BAG ICON AND BELL GOES OFF AND ON AND POWER STEERING ICON POPS ON DASH. ON 4/18/2017, WENT TO MAKE A LEFT TURN AND POWER STEERING ICON CAME ON AND DASH READ "POWER STEERING NOT INACTIVE". PULLED THE CAR OVER SHUT IT DOWN AND RESTARTED ICON WAS GONE CAR DROVE FINE.
