Transmission cable and roll away not right gear
There were recalls on this vehicle. I just purchased and trying to get assistance.
The brake light, the ABS light and the stability control light came in my vehicle and GM says that the EBCM needs to be replaced this should be a recall because a lot of cars are having this issue and they don’t have the parts available, is been more than a year I’m driving like that.
The sunroof drain tubes become plugged and if you can actually find someone to fix the error, its horribly expensive. Water enters the vehicle, causing mold on the back seat floors. This issue has also shorted out my trunk release consistent with other individuals reports and when manually released, via the inside hidden panel, it sparks, which is dangerous and shouldnt happen. After a heavy rain, entering the vehicle sounds like a waterfall all around you from inside. I have to constantly keep moisture absorbers inside of my vehicle in a futile attempt to solve the issue.
Onstar(R) vcim draining my battery, it’s not my battery or alternator and already replaced connections too. I have a recall sample that was sent out 04/15/2013 Bulletin no 11-08-44-003A

The contact owns a 2011 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated that the rear axle, suspension, park assist, and stability tract control warning indictor lights were illuminated. The contact stated that while driving, the vehicle fishtailed. The contact called the local dealer. A multi-point inspection was provided by the dealer, who informed contact that the power steering and transmission lines were leaking. Additionally, a fuse was missing, the malfunction light illuminated and the vehicle failed to accelerate. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that while driving, the vehicle failed to accelerate. The check engine, ABS, traction control and an unknown warning light illuminated. The contact stated the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number 21V473000 (Suspension). The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the local dealer however, no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 204,875.
Car has stalled out 5 times since NOV 12,2021 to Nov 22, 2021 and now the car has broken down in the middle of the road and will not start back up. We were at a red light when it just turned off and does not work now. It was smoking and smelled horrible like burning plastic. I had to remove my kids from the car because they could not breath anymore.
2011Cadillac SRX owner. Car has know water issue that collected inside car at the time of rain ruining the tailgate module. Since that time I have had all of the warning lights as indicated in the recall of August 2021. Stabilitrak Service, Slippery Roads, Shut off engine now etc. I have been waiting for the recall part to be produced since August and have been without a vehicle. I contacted Arrowhead Cadillac a few weeks ago and learned part not in production. It is going on 60 days of me having a vehicle that I can not sell or trade or use. I contacted the main Cadillac customer service and was informed that I could rent a car on my own and submit request for payment months from now- or I could take the car in to have the "bolt tightened" (recall bolt that I have symptoms listed in recall...
The contact owns a 2011 Cadillac SRX. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V473000 (Suspension) however, the part to do the recall repair was not available. The contact stated that during an oil change, the independent mechanic informed her that there was a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.
I received a recall notice for a safety issue with my cadillac srx 2011. Recall #N212340980 regarding the real toe link. My vehicle is already showing signs of this issue and has been for over 2 years. Cadillac is not prepared to handle this issue. I called to make an appointment and was told they do not have the parts yet to fix the issue. Not to drive my car for safety reasons. I do not have access to another car, they cannot offer a loaner vehicle or a rental, so they so. I have doctors appointments, I need to use my vehicle. I am awaiting a reply from the dealership as to when the parts will be available, in the meantime I have to pray my car does not fall apart.

I WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY AND OPENED THE DOOR AND FOUND ABOUT 3 INCHES OF WATER ON BOTH THE DRIVERS AND PASSENGER SIDE. I FELT THE SIDE PANELS, UNDER DASH, TOP OF DASH, HEADLINER, WINDOWS AND ALL WERE DRY. THE SEATS AND THE MIDDLE COLUMN COMPARTMENT FELT DAMP. I LOOKED ONLINE AND FOUND THERE WERE COMPLAINTS OF THE DRAIN TUBES LEAKING. AS THE WEEK WENT ON I NOTICED THE CAR WAS STARTING TO GET MOLD. IT GOT SO BAD I COULDN'T DRIVE THE CAR BECAUSE IT WAS MAKING ME ILL WITH BREATHING ISSUES. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD HIM IT WAS LEAKING AND THAT I RESEARCHED A BIT AND FOUND THAT THEY HAD ISSUES WITH THE TUBES AND HE SAID THEY WOULD NEED TO KEEP IT OVERNIGHT AND WOULD CHECK IT AND LET ME KNOW. I HAVE COMPLAINED TO CADILLAC ABOUT MY HEADLIGHTS HAVING CONDENSATION WHICH LEADS TO THEM INTERMITTENTLY TURNING OFF. IT'S ILLEGAL TO DRIVE WITHOUT HEADLIGHTS AT NIGHT IN WA STATE AND IT'S DANGEROUS. ON 2/28/20, CADILLAC SENT ME A LETTER ACKNOWLEDGING THAT'S THE 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, AND 2015 SRX MAY EXPERIENCE ISSUES THAT COULD CAUSE MOISTURE TO ACCUMULATE IN THEIR HEADLAMPS CAPSULE AND CAUSE HALOGEN HEADLIGHTS TO BECOME DIMMER OVER TIME. THEY STATE IN THE LETTER THAT THEY WILL ONLY REIMBURSE UP TO $1,600 FOR THE REPAIR. THE REPAIR IS $2,600. THEN THEY SAID THE CLAIM FORM HAS TO BE SUBMITTED BY MAY 28, 2020. NONE OF THE DEALERSHIPS HAVE THE HEADLIGHTS BECAUSE THEY ARE ON BACK ORDERS. THEY TOLD ME THEY MAY NOT GET THE HEADLIGHTS BY THAT TIME. IN OTHER STATES LAWSUITS HAVE BEEN FILED WHERE CADILLAC DID NOT WIN. IN THOSE LAWSUITS IT WAS NOTED THAT CADILLAC...
THE HEADLAMPS ARE DIM DUE TO CONDENSATION IN THE HEADLIGHT HOUSINGS. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ISSUED.
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS DIMMED. HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS FAILED COMPLETELY. MOISTURE BUILD UP IN HEADLIGHT HOUSINGS APPARENTLY IMPACTED ELECTRONIC HEADLIGHT CONTROLLERS. AUTO DEALERSHIP ESTIMATES APPROXIMATELY $2000.00 TO REPAIR.. REPLACEMENT OF BOTH HEADLIGHT BULBS PRODUCED NO DIFFERENCE IN LIGHT OUTPUT. BULBS THAT WERE REPLACED APPEAR TO BE FULLY FUNCTIONAL. MECHANIC AT FIRESTONE AUTO CARE FACILITY STATES THAT 'HEADLIGHT HOUSING UNIT APPEARS TO HAVE DEFECTIVE SEALS ALLOWING MOISTURE IN AND REMAINING INSIDE THE HOUSING DAMAGING CONTROLLERS'.
THERE IS WATER ALL OVER THE FLOOR OF MY 2011 CADILLAC SRX LUXURY EDITION AND ITS FROM THE SUNROOF. THE WATER GOT INTO MY ELECTRICAL AND NOW MY TRUNK WON'T OPEN AND THE FLOORS WON'T DRY. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED.
MY SUNROOF HAS HAD LEAKY DRAINS ON BOTH SIDES AND CAUSED OVER $3,000 IN REPAIRS. I BELIEVE THE 2012 WAS RECALLED BUT NOT THE 2011. IT STOPPED MY CAR FROM DRIVING APPROPRIATELY, THE TRUNK WOULD NO LONGER OPEN, AND THE CAR ALARM TO ALERT FOR ROBBERY OF THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING. THIS CAUSED ME TO HAVE TO REPLACE MY PUMPS ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE CAR AND THE COMPUTER / ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. THIS REPAIR COST CLOSE TO $2,000. THEN ABOUT 14 MONTHS LATER; THE PASSENGER SIDE SUNROOF LEAK OCCURRED AND CAUSED FLOODING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF MY CAR. THIS LED TO MOLD AND A CLEAN OF THE CAR TO ALLOW ME TO BREATH IN MY CAR. THIS REPAIR COST OVER $1,000.
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM AND DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. SUNROOF LEAKS WATER, THIRD BRAKE LIGHT OUT AND BACK UP CAMERA STOP WORKING.
MOISTURE IN HEADLIGHT BURNS OUT THE LIGHT. DANGEROUS CAUSE CAN'T SEE AT NIGHT
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
DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT FAILED. DETERMINED IGNITER FAILURE DUE TO MOISTURE INTRUSION INTO HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. REPAIR COST $1900. THIS IS A KNOWN DEFECT BY CADILLAC. THOUGH REPLACEMENT ASSEMBLY WAS GM OEM, THE ILLUMINATION PATTERN ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE IS 24"-36" SHORTER THAN PASSENGER SIDE THAT HAS ORIGINAL ASSEMBLY FROM NOVEMBER, 2010 BUILD DATE. MANUAL AND COMPUTER ADJUSTMENT DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM AND NO PROBLEMS REPORTED WHEN DIAGNOSTICS RUN.

MOSTURE/CONDENSATION IN PASSENGER HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY, CAUSED REDUCED ILLUMINATION AND FAILURE OF THE LAMP AND SUPPORTING ELECTRICAL ASSEMBLY
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CADILLAC SRX. WHILE RAINING, THE WELL IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE FILLED WITH WATER, WHICH FLOODED THE REAR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE RESULTED IN THE LIFTGATE NOT FUNCTIONING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRONIC MODULES IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY SERVICED PER A MANUFACTURER'S COMMUNICATION (G-208314) AND FURTHER ASSISTANCE WOULD NOT BE PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000.
CADILLAC HAS REFUSED TO DO THE FACTORY RECALLS DO TO THE FACT THAT THE CARS HAS A REBUILT TITLE. HOW CAN THIS LIMIT THEM TO NOT FIXING FACTORY RECALLED PARTS THAT WHERE NOT DAMAGED
ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE HATCHBACK LIFTGATE OPENED BY ITSELF. THEN IT WOULD NOT OPEN AT ALL WHICH DOESN'T ALLOW ANY ACCESS TO THE REAR CARGO AREA WHERE FLAT TIRE REPAIR GEAR IS LOCATED. I THEN DETERMINED THAT THE EXPENSIVE ELECTRICAL LIFTGATE MECHANISM BECAME SUBMERGED IN WATER FROM SUNROOF DRAIN TUBES THAT FAIL TO DRAIN RAIN TO THE GROUND. A FURTHER LOOK REVEALED THAT THE FRONT SEAT AND REAR SEAT FLOOR MATS WERE SATURATED WHERE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE ROUTED. CAN YOU PROVIDE ME WITH A COPY OF NHTSA REFERENCE # 10078604 OR TSB REFERENCE # PIC-5260-A OR ANY OTHER INFORMATION WHY GENERAL MOTORS HASN'T RECALLED CADILLACS WITH THIS UNSAFE CONDITION.
THIS IS THE 2ND TIME FOR THIS REPAIR... THE BACK HATCH WON'T LIFT, THE SUNROOF WON'T OPEN, THE BACKUP CAMERA IS FOGGY, AND THE DOOR LOCKS WON'T ENGAGE WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PUT IN GEAR. ONCE AGAIN, THE "MOTOR" THAT RUNS ALL OF THESE THINGS HAS GOTTEN WATER IN IT AND HAS BURNT UP. FIRST TIME REPAIR....$2300. THIS TIME, I DON'T HAVE THE FINAL TOTAL YET, BUT I THINK THEY SAW ME COMING. CONSIDERING THAT MY CAR IS ALWAYS PARKED UNDER COVER, MY OPINION IS THAT THIS IS A FLAW WITH THE WAY THE CAR IS MADE. IF YOU PAY THIS MUCH MONEY FOR A NICE VEHICLE, YOU EXPECT IT TO DELIVER ON ALL FRONTS--NOT LEAK AND FRY WHEN IT RAINS. AGAIN, SAME REPAIR WITHIN 2 YEARS.
THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT HAS MOISTURE IN IT AND DOES NOT WORK. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH SOME OWNERS REPORTEDLY LOSING BOTH HEAD LAMPS DO TO THIS PROBLEM. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. ONE PERSON ON THE CADILLAC FORUM REPORTED THAT THERE WERE 30,000 POST REGARDING THIS PROBLEM. GOING BACK SEVERAL YEARS. THIS APPEARS TO BE AN ONGOING DESIGN PROBLEM THAT GM REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE. THE COST TO FIX IS ABOUT $1500 PER LAMP.
MY WIFE WAS GOING TO LEAVE THE HOUSE YESTERDAY (7/29/2016) MORNING TO START HER DAY. SHE CALLED TO NOTIFY ME THAT THE CADILLAC WOULD NOT START. THE CAR WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY. ONLY THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WOULD COME ON. BY THE TIME I GOT HOME THAT AFTERNOON THE CAR WOULD START BUT ANYTHING ELECTRONIC WAS GOING CRAZY. THE DASH LIGHTS, RADIO, WARNING SYSTEMS WERE ALL FLICKERING ON AND OFF. I EVENTUALLY DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY BECAUSE THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP POWERING UP THE DASH AND RADIO. BEING IN THE BUSINESS THAT I AM IN,I KNEW THERE WAS MOST LIKELY A MOISTURE PROBLEM. SO TODAY AFTER DOING A LITTLE SEARCHING ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND THAT THIS VEHICLE HAS A PROBLEM WITH SUNROOF LEAKAGE. I THEN GO TO CHECK UNDER MY FLOOR MATS FOR WATER. CARPET WAS WET. I THEN PROCEEDED TO PULL BACK THE CARPET AND FOAM. I FOUND...
LIFT GATE FAILED TO OPEN. ACCORDING TO WARRANTY COMPANY WATER LEAKED FROM THE SUNROOF FROM THE DRAINS ONTO THE LIFTGATE MOTOR AND SHORTED IT OUT. IT WAS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY BECAUSE IT WAS CONSIDERED WATER DAMAGED.
BOTH FRONT (L & R) WINDOWS OPERATE VERY SLOWLY WHEN GOING UP. SO SLOWLY, IN FACT, OFTEN "MANUAL ASSISTANCE" (THE USE OF THE DRIVER'S HAND GRASPING THE WINDOW-HELPING IT UP-AS IT S-L-O-W-L-Y RISES) IS REQUIRED. NATURALLY, THE 4 YEAR BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTEE JUST EXPIRED 2 MONTHS AGO. THIS IS A DISGRACE! A 4 YEAR OLD CADILLAC(28K MILES) WITH "$2.00" (CHEAP!!) WINDOW MOTORS. AND GM WONDERS WHY MERCEDES, LEXUS AND BMW TRUMP THEM EVERY YEAR. NO MYSTERY!
7/24/15 HAD SUNROOF SERVICED FOR RECALL.INTERIOR WET MOLDY,EVEN HAT IN SEAT WEB. 7/26/15 COULD NOT OPEN REAR LIFT GATE..DEALER COULD REPAIR FOR HALF RHE $1,200 COST,SINCE THE MILEAGE WAS OVER 4 YEAR WARRANTY BUT HAD LESS THAN 48,000 MI. COULD HEAR WATER AFTER ANY RAIN.DEALER ADMITTED PROBLEM WITH SUNROOF WAS CAUSE,BUT NOT COVERED.OTHER FUSES ALSO LOCATED IN REAR BLOCK,FUEL PUMP,WIPER,REAR WINDOWS..CANNOT OPEN LIFT GATE EVEN MANUALLY.SO NO ACCESS TO SPARE,ETC.CALLED CADILLAC CUSTOMER CARE MANY TIMES ,BUT THEY WILL NOT ADMIT AN OBVIOUS SAFETY AND DESIGN DEFECT. NOR HAS THER BEEN ANY ADVICE NOT TO OPERATE OR PARK DURING RAIN,OR HOW TO PREVENT FURTHER DAMAGE.

THE VEHICLE'S ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM ENGAGED AND LOCKED THE CONTACT IN THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT'S SPOUSE USED HIS FOBIK KEY TO UNLOCK THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 17,000.
FROM A COMPLETE STOP, ATTEMPTING TO PULL OUT INTO TRAFFIC, VEHICLE EXHIBITS LAG OR HESITATION WHEN ACCELERATING, EVEN WITH ACCELERATOR PUSHED TO THE FLOOR. THIS SITUATION HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BECOME A SAFETY ISSUE IN THE EVENT A DRIVER IS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE ADEQUATELY WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THE HEADLIGHTS - LOW BEAM - ARE THE WORST. I'VE BEEN DRIVING FOR OVER 40 YEARS. WHEN I COMPLAINED TO THE DEALERSHIP (CRESTVIEW CADILLAC - WEST COVINA, CA) THAT THEY WERE SO BAD I BELIEVED IT IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT, THEY SAID THEY DIDN'T GET ANY COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER DRIVERS! YESTERDAY, I INADVERTENTLY LEFT THE VEHICLE RUNNING AND THE CAR DID NOT BEEP OR GIVE ME ANY INDICATION THAT I HAD DONE SO. THESE KEYLESS IGNITION SYSTEMS ARE VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY LEAVE THE CAR RUNNING IN THE GARAGE YOU COULD INADVERTENTLY CAUSE A CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING SITUATION. IT IS A VERY UNSAFE FEATURE THAT COULD BE CORRECTED WITH A SIMPLE WARNING SIGNAL. THERE NEEDS TO BE SOME TYPE OF WARNING, A CAR HORN BEEP OR SOMETHING TO LET THE DRIVER KNOW THAT THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING WHEN THE DRIVER LEAVES THE VEHICLE. *TR
