MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW DOESN'T GO DOWN UNLESS I SLAM THE DOOR. THE AIR BAG LIGHT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE GOES ON WHEN NO ONE IS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. SOMETIMES THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT WILL STAY ON. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF AT STRANGE TIMES. THE OIL CHANGE LIGHT KEEPS GOING ON WHEN THE OIL HAS JUST BEEN CHANGED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY BECAME STUCK IN THE IGNITION AND COULD NOT BE REMOVED. CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE KEY WOULD NOT TURN IN THE IGNITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE CYLINDER WAS LOCKING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 14V047000 (AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 138,522.
IGNITION KEY SLIPS OUT OF IGNITION IN ALL POSITIONS. DATE AND MILEAGE OF START ARE APPROXIMATE. ADDITIONALLY, IGNITION HAS SUBSEQUENTLY BECOME DIFFICULT TO TURN WITH KEY, MAKING THE VEHICLE DIFFICULT TO START. *TR
AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED, MY SATURN VUE EXPERIENCED FAILURE OF THE IGNITION LOCK SYSTEM WHICH COST ME A FEE OF $141.12 TO HAVE IT REPLACED AT THE A-ABRA-CADABRA LOCK SERVICE IN AKRON, OHIO. THE PROBLEM WAS WHEN I INSERTED THE IGNITION KEY, SOMETIMES THE MOTOR WOULD START, AND SOMETIMES IT WOULDN'T. OFTENTIMES, I HAD TO SHAKE THE STEERING WHEEL TO GET THE IGNITION TO WORK. ALSO, SOMETIMES THE IGNITION KEY WAS DIFFICULT TO GET IN AND OUT OF ITS SLOT. BECAUSE OF THESE IGNITION SWITCH PROBLEMS, I FEARED AN ACCIDENT. ACCORDING TO THE OWNER OF THE LOCK SERVICE SHOP, AT THAT TIME HIS INSTALLATION AT 09/27/10, THE REPLACEMENT MECHANISM WOULD EVENTUALLY GIVE ME THE SAME PROBLEMS, AND FAIL ONCE AGAIN. HE SAID IT WAS THE ONLY IGNITION SWITCH AVAILABLE FOR THIS VEHICLE, AND ONLY ONE MANUFACTURER SUPPLIER PRODUCED THE PART. HE SAID ALL OF THEM WERE DEFECTIVE. GM SHOULD IMMEDIATELY...
I HAVE TO TURN THE WHEEL BACK AND FORTH SEVERAL TIMES AND STEP ON THE GAS A LITTLE TO UNLOCK THE WHEEL AND START THE CAR. IT'S BEEN DOING THIS REGULARLY SINCE WINTER. I DON'T HAVE ANY BIG KEY RINGS, ETC., SO THAT SHOULDN'T BE WHY IT'S DOING THAT. ALSO, THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WHEN NO ONE IS SITTING THERE. IN ADDITION, A FEW TIMES MY CAR HAS STALLED OUT IN TRAFFIC. THERE IS SOMETHING GOING ON WITH THIS MODEL YEAR SATURN VUE ESPECIALLY SINCE I'VE READ MANY COMPLAINTS OF AN IDENTICAL NATURE. PLEASE RECALL THIS YEAR AS WELL AND GET THESE PROBLEMS FIXED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE KEY CAME OUT OF THE IGNITION AND THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO OPERATE. ALSO, THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT AFTER INSERTING THE KEY INTO THE IGNITION SWITCH SHE WAS UNABLE TO TURN THE KEY TO START THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT AND NO SOLUTION WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
CAR WAS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY AND THE DOORS LOCKED BY THEMSELVES. SINCE THEN, WE HAVE HEARD THE DOOR LOCKS CYCLE WHILE THE CAR IS PARKED. WE ALSO HAD THE DOOR LOCKS CYCLE RANDOMLY AS WE ARE DRIVING. *TR
THE KEY HAS HAD MANY INSTANCES OF TROUBLE INSERTING OR REMOVING FROM THE IGNITION. THE KEY CAN ALSO BE REMOVED WHILE IN ANY OF THE POSITIONS. AT TIMES THE KEY ALSO HAS TROUBLE TURNING BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT POSITIONS. SEEMS TO BE THE SAME ISSUE THAT MANY SIMILAR MODEL YEAR SATURN VEHICLES ARE HAVING. I VENTURE THE PROBLEM IS IMPACTING MORE VEHICLES THAN GM IS WILLING TO ADMIT. THE LONGER IT CAN PUSH OF THE REPAIR THE LESS COSTLY IT IS TO THE COMPANY. *TR
IGNITION KEY FELL OUT OF IGNITION WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE OVER THE YEARS. IT CAN EASILY BE REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION EVEN WHEN IN THE PARK POSITION. KEY CAN COME OUT OF IGNITION NO MATTER IF THE KEY IS NEW, A COPY, OR SHOWING ANY WEAR. I HAVE NEVER KEPT ANYTHING OTHER THAN ONE HOUSE KEY AND THE MANUFACTURER'S FAB ATTACHED SINCE I FIRST TOOK OWNERSHIP OF THIS VEHICLE. *TR
THE DASH BOARD LIGHTS SOMETIMES DON'T COME ON AND THE RADIO WILL BE ON BECAUSE I CAN HEAR IT BUT THERE IS NO DISPLAY OR LIGHTS, IF I TURN THE CAR OFF AND ON A FEW TIMES I CAN USUALLY GET THEM TO WORK AGAIN. *TR
KEY CAN BE REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION WHEN THE IGNITION IS NOT IN THE OFF POSITION AND WHILE DRIVING THE CAR. WHEN I WAS DRIVING THE KEY FELL FROM THE IGNITION AND THE CAR WAS STILL RUNNING...I WAS ABLE TO PUT THE KEY BACK IN THE IGNITION. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND I CAN PULL THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION WHILE THE CAR IS RUNNING. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS PREVIOUSLY REPLACED BY A LOCAL DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 14V171000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 111,000.
WHEN I WAS DRIVING I ACCIDENTALLY PULLED MY KEY FROM THE IGNITION BUT THE CAR WAS STILL RUNNING AND I WAS STILL DRIVING...I WAS ABLE TO PUT THE KEY BACK IN THE IGNITION. FIRST NOTICED MY KEY WOULD NOT FIT INTO IGNITION AND AFTER MANY TRIES THE ALARM STARTED BEEPING AND I WAS THEN ABLE TO INSERT THE KEY. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE. THE BIGGEST WORRY HAS BEEN THAT ON ONE OCCASION I HAD TURNED OFF THE ENGINE, TOOK THE KEY OUT, STEPPED OUT OF THE VEHICLE READY TO WALK AWAY AND REALIZED THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING. THE DASH BOARD LIGHTS PERIODICALLY DON'T COME ON AND THE RADIO, ALTHOUGH I CAN HEAR IT, DOES NOT DISPLAY THE INFORMATION. *TT
MY PASSENGER SEAT AIR BAG LIGHT STARTED TO COME ON PERIODICALLY, WHETHER SOMEONE WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT OR NOT. AT TIMES IT WOULD GO OFF, BUT FOR THE PAST 30 DAYS IT STAYS ON WHETHER SOMEONE IS IN THE SEAT OR NOT. ABOUT THE SAME TIME, WE DETECTED A "SHORT" IN THE RADIO SYSTEM, AS AT TIMES YOU CANNOT CHANGE THE STATION, AND I HAVE ACTUALLY HAD THE STATION CHANGE WITHOUT TOUCHING ANY SELECTOR. I AM CONCERNED THAT THIS HAS TO DO WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH ISSUE THAT HAS BEEN DETECTED IN OTHER MODELS OF SATURNS, IN PARTICULAR. *JS

FOR THE PAST YEAR I HAVE BEEN HAVING A VERY DIFFICULT TIME INSERTING THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND TURNING THE KEY TO TURN ON THE CAR. ONCE I GET THE KEY IN I HAVE TO JIGGLE IT OVER AND OVER UNTIL THE KEY IS ABLE TO TURN. SOMETIMES IT TAKES ME ANYWHERE FROM 5-15 MINUTES. HOWEVER LATELY WHEN THE KEY IS FINALLY IN IT GETS STUCK AND IT DOES NOT ALLOW THE KEY TO BE RELEASED LEAVING ME STRANDED. I ALSO NOTICED THE AIRBAG SENSOR LIGHT TURNS ON AND OFF RANDOMLY WHILE I AM DRIVING THE CAR AND WHILE THERE IS A PASSENGER IN THE CAR. MY BIGGEST CONCERN IS IF THE AIRBAG FAILS TO DEPLOY IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE NEW AND WITHIN A YEAR MY KEY WOULD GET STUCK IN THE IGNITION TO THE POINT WHERE I COULD NOT TURN THE KEY AT ALL TO EITHER TURN ON OR OFF THE VEHICLE OR TO GET THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION. I NEEDED TO USE MY CAR TO DO ROUTINE CHORES, THE KEY WOULD NOT TURN. I CALLED THE DEALER THAT I GOT THE CAR FROM AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD NEED TO TOW THE CAR IN, PUT IT ON A MACHINE AND REPLACE THE IGNITION SWITCH AT MY EXPENSE. I REFUSE SINCE I HAD JUST PURCHASED THE CAR IN FEBRUARY OF 2013. I CALLED A LOCK SMITH WHO INFORMED ME THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH THE WAY THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS PLACED IN THESE CARS. I PAID TO HAVE IT FIXED BY THE LOCK SWITCH. IT GOT STUCK AGAIN THE NEXT DAY AND HE REPLACED IT AGAIN, AT MY EXPENSE. I WAS DRIVING IN MY SUBDIVISION AND THE CURTAIN AIR BAGS WENT OFF IN MY 2007 SATURN VUE HYBRID. I SWERVED AND RAN INTO A TREE CAUSING MASSIVE FRONTAL DAMAGE AND THE DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG TO DEPLOY. MY 3-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER WAS IN THE BACK PASSENGER CHILD CAR SEAT AND WAS OK BUT I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH CHEST, KNEE, HIP, AND NOSE CONTUSIONS, STILL HEALING AFTER 4+ DAYS. THE CAR WAS A TOTAL LOSS PER ALLSTATE. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT CAUSED THE CURTAIN AIR BAGS TO GO OFF BUT SEE ON CARCOMPLAINTS.COM THERE ARE MANY AIRBAG ISSUES. I BOUGHT THIS CAR IN JULY 22, 2012 IN CITY KIA IN ORLANDO( USED CAR) WITH 37,299 MILES ON THIS DAY.2007 SATURN VUE. IN MARCH 2013 I TOOK A RIDE FROM KISSIMMEE TO MIAMI AND WHEN I CAME BACK HOME AND GOT OFF THE TURNPIKE I HEARD A BIG SOUND UNDER MY CAR AND IT STARED TO SLOW DOWN UNTIL IT STOPPED COMPLETELY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET, I HAD IT TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION,THEY FIXED FOR $1,926. I ALSO HAS SOME ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS, ONCE IN A WHILE THE RADIO GOES RANDOMLY CHANGING CHANNELS BY ITSELF AND WHEN I OPEN OR CLOSE THE WINDOWS IT SOUNDS LIKE IT LOOSES ELECTRICITY, AND ALSO A LEAK FROM THE AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR IS LEAKING A GREEN FLUID, ALSO THE AIRBAG GOES ON SOMETIMES BUT EVENTUALLY TURNS OFF. *TR

THE FAILURE OCCURRED DURING RAINY WEATHER CONDITIONS. IN ADDITION, THE PASSENGER'S SIDE POWER DOOR LOCKS FAILED TO OPERATE PROPERLY AND THE ODOMETER GAUGE FAILED TO ILLUMINATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. I TOO HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE KEY IGNITION AS WELL AS THE PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT COMING ON. THE KEY WAS FIXED WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR. NOW MY ISSUES IS WITH THE WINDOWS RANDOMLY NOT WORKING AND PASSENGER AIR BAG ON. MY CAR WINDOW ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE DID NOT WORK FOR A YEAR. IT WOULD WORK OCCASIONALLY (WHEN I TESTED THE BUTTON) NOW THE PASSENGERS SIDE WORK, BUT THE DRIVERS SIDE DOSE NOT. I WAS TOLD BY SATURN THAT THEY ARE UNRELATED ISSUES. I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND THAT? MY CAR IS IN THE SHOP TO HAVE SERVICE DONE ON IT. THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW NEEDS TO BE FIXED. AT THE COST OF $265.00 JUST THE DRIVER SIDE, AND THEY SAID THAT THEIR IS NO PROBLEM WITH PASS. SIDE... I CAN SEE THAT THE WINDOWS ARE AN ISSUES WITH THIS TYPE ON SATURN... AND NO ONE IS ADDRESSING THIS...

MY 2007 SATURN VUE HYBRID BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP IN JUNE, 2010 AND WAS TOLD I NEEDED A NEW BATTERY PACK (THIS WILL BE THE 3RD ONE), THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE BATTERY PACKS, AND THAT IT WAS "SAFE" TO DRIVE UNTIL THE BATTERIES WERE REPLACED. IT IS NOW DECEMBER 30, 2010 AND NO BATTERY PACKS ARE AVAILABLE. I'M FINDING OUT THROUGH INTERNET RESEARCH THAT ONCE THE BATTERY PACK GOES, ALL POWER WILL DRAIN AND THE CAR WILL CEASE TO FUNCTION WITHIN 30 MINUTES--THAT INCLUDES BRAKES AND STEERING. I'VE COMPLAINED TO GM WHO NOW HOLDS THE WARRANTIES ON SATURN AND THEY ADVISE ME BIWEEKLY THAT THEY DON'T KNOW WHEN BATTERY PACKS WILL BE AVAILABLE. ASIDE FROM SHIRKING ITS WARRANTY OBLIGATION, GM IS CREATING POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARDS ON THESE HYBRIDS WHEN THE RECALLED BATTERY PACKS FAIL AND POWER IS LOST WHILE THE CAR...

2007 VUE HYBRID. NUMEROUS ELECTRICAL PROBLEM RELATED TO THE HYBRID SYSTEM WITHIN FIRST MONTH OF OWNERSHIP. RECENTLY RECEIVED "VOLUNTARY RECALL NOTICE FOR HYBRID BATTERY. BATTERY "BACK-ORDERED" FOR OVER 6 WEEKS. WAS TOLD IT WAS ENTIRELY SAFE TO DRIVE AND IT JUST WOULDN'T PERFORM AS EFFICIENTLY. CAR PARKED IN GARAGE AND WOULD NOT START. RETURNED FROM OUT OF TOWN TRIP AND CAR STARTED. HAD TO REPLACE AT OUR EXPENSE THE 12 VOLT BATTERY. THE HYBRID BATTERY PROBABLY CAUSED THE FAILURE OF THE 12 VOLT BATTERY BUT GM DOESN'T ACKNOWLEDGE THAT IN THE RECALL. THE CONTACT HAD PREVIOUSLY RECEIVED AN UNKNOWN MANUFACTURER'S RECALL FOR THE HYBRID BATTERY AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE PARTS NEEDED TO MAKE THE RECALL REPAIRS WERE NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE DEALER ASSURED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SAFE TO DRIVE UNTIL THE PARTS BECAME AVAILABLE. ONE WEEK LATER, THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 45 MPH AND THE VOLTAGE IMBALANCE DRAINED THE BATTERY CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 45,925 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 46,000.

I HAVE A 2007 SATURN VUE GREEN LINE. OVER THE LAST FEW DAYS THE VEHICLE WILL STALL ON STARTING AFTER STOPPING OR COMING TO A NEAR STOP (BRAKING AND THEN ACCELERATING).
