THREE DRIVERS IN OUR FAMILY HAVE EXPERIENCED SUDDEN SHUT-OFF OF THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS AND THE HIGHWAY. WE HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE THAT WE HAVE NOT BEEN INVOLVED IN ANY ACCIDENTS AS A RESULT. WE ARE NOT ABLE TO COMPLETELY DISCONTINUE OUR USE OF THE VEHICLE, BUT HAVE BEEN FORCED TO USE OTHER TRANSPORTATION WHENEVER POSSIBLE OUT OF FEAR THAT THE VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. CHRYSLER SENT US A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE IN SEPTEMBER 2014 BUT AFTER CONTACT BOTH A DEALER AND CHRYSLER DIRECTLY THEY CLAIM THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PART AVAILABLE TO REPAIR THE DEFECT. IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR AND THE VEHICLE ENGINE HAS DIED WHILE MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING IT AT LEAST FOUR TIMES; THE LAST TIME HE WAS ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 70 MILES PER HOUR. THIS VEHICLE IS A THREAT TO OUR LIFE SAFETY. I WOULD LIKE IT REPAIRED OR REPLACED AT NO COST TO US. WHILE DRIVING THE CAR WOULD JUST SHUT OFF AT RANDOM LOSING BRAKES, STEERING AND ENGINE POWER AS WELL AS OTHER COMFORT FEATURES.
