Along with the two recalls of which I have not been contacted by Hyundai or provided any form of remedy, this is highly concerning and makes me feel extremely unsafe driving my vehicle, especially with the fact that I have small children and teenagers. My car had an issue from inception that I’ve let the dealer know about that. They still have not fixed including the fact that well I’ll be driving on certain roads are on the highway. It’ll come up with a warning telling me that I’m going the wrong way and try to engage the automatic breaking system. In addition, the second row seatbelt has been stuck and it won’t go back in. The third row seats often times try to disengage and come down. Anytime I hit a small bump or go over a speed bump even very slow. My Bluetooth goes off-line as well as...
The vehicle engine shuts off out of nowhere, unable to change/switch between gears for 2-3 minutes after stopping at a red light, stop sign, or during heavy traffic, with no activation of the Idle-stop-system before the incident. During the incident, the vehicle's steering was not able to turn. I have to keep my foot on the brake pedal for a while. After the second incident, I managed to drive the vehicle carefully and slowly to the dealership, but I was told there was no problem with the vehicle. So, I requested to take a drive with a mechanic, and the engine shut off in the middle of the street while slowing down for the third time. The dashboard reads "Auto stop is off." Shift to P or N and start engine manually. vehicle still at the dealership for 5 days.
I am reporting a recurring, life-threatening electronic failure in my 2023 Hyundai Palisade. On [XXX], while turning into an intersection, the vehicle's brakes spontaneously engaged, stalling the car in the path of oncoming traffic. During this event, multiple critical safety systems failed simultaneously, including the headlights and horn, leaving me unable to warn other drivers. A "violent" surge was required to clear the intersection, risking a high-speed collision. Similar spontaneous recurrences occurred on [XXX] and [XXX], and most recently on [XXX]. These incidents are characterized by "phantom braking," total loss of propulsion, and a complete lack of interior/exterior electronic response. Technical Evidence: Diagnostic scans revealed 16 distinct fault codes (including C161608, C181287, and U012687) involving the Chassis Control Module, Electronic Control Unit (ECU), and communication buses. Despite these logged codes, Hyundai and the dealership have repeatedly returned the vehicle to me, stating they "cannot replicate" the issue, thereby dismissing a...
The steering wheel locks briefly when the Idle Stop and Go (ISG) system restarts the vehicle. This happens intermittently, about 50% of the time. It has affected the ability to steer the vehicle properly when turning at a traffic light after the ISG system has initiated an engine shutdown and subsequent restart. This issue has been reported to our local dealership, but the technicians were not able to reproduce the issue. We have also experienced a complete loss of electrical power in the vehicle with the ISG system a few times. Unfortunately, there is no way to permanently deactivate the ISG system; the auto stop button must be pressed every time the vehicle is used to deactivate it for that trip.
My vehicle has an issue with the anti lock braking system on uneven surfaces. On several occasions since buying the vehicle earlier this year, I've observed the issue of chattering or severe on-off reaction of the ABS to gradual braking onnuneven surfaces. I have not had the issue verified by a dealer yet, but plan to soon. The malfunction has extended stopping distances significantly. I have not noticed warning lights during or after the malfunction, likely because I'm focused on safely bringing the vehicle to a stop during the malfunction. My vehicle can be made available for inspection.
While sitting at a stop sign, I attempted to place my vehicle in Park. I opened the driver’s side door, but the car had not actually shifted into Park. None of the vehicle’s safety systems engaged when the door was opened. The car rolled forward with me partially outside the vehicle, dragging me until it struck a tree. This incident reflects a critical failure in the vehicle’s electrical/safety systems: •The transmission did not engage Park when selected. •The door-open rollaway prevention system did not activate. •The automatic front collision system failed to stop the vehicle. Because multiple electronic safeguards failed at the same time, this appears to be an electrical or computer system malfunction rather than driver error.
On [XXX] the engine light went on my 2023 Hyundai palisade SUV. Immediately I drove over the Hyundai dealership to try to find out what the problem was. On my way there, the light remained on, and the car kept making movements as if it was going to turn off, I could barely make the speed increase as I was driving. I went to Healey Hyundai located at 794 Route 52 Fishkill Ny 12524 phone number 845 831 1090 . In spite, the car light on and the issues they refused to attend the car and asked me to go back Monday morning, which I did , same issued on my way there, and I arrived there with the engine light on , service advisor Rasheena M Dyer , took the car, saw the light on, took pictures and asked me to wait for the mechanic to review the car....
I recently purchased a Hyundai vehicle and discovered that the previous owner still has full access to the vehicle’s Bluelink system. This includes remote start/stop, vehicle tracking, horn/lights, and other controls. Despite contacting Hyundai support and proving ownership, they still have not revoked or disabled this access. I am unable to override or reset the system myself. This poses a serious safety concern, because an unauthorized individual can: •Remotely disable the vehicle while in motion or parked, •Track my exact real-time location, or •Manipulate vehicle functions without my knowledge or consent. This is not a one-off issue. Hyundai has no effective system in place to guarantee owner control or revoke prior access, which leaves other buyers vulnerable too. This constitutes a design flaw in connected vehicle control systems, not just an isolated customer service problem.
Was driving vehicle felt a shutter and instrumentation led panel shut off. Radio still works as well as engine
Driving with adaptive cruise control engaged in 45mph zone. Without intervention the cruise setting jumped to 90mph. I was able to press the pause bar to cancel it. Next I was able to re engage cruise normally without a repeat issue. There's been no outside inspection, or assessment. So far it's happened only once. The runaway speed was controllable. We're driving with extra care.
The ABS braking problem has not been mentioned to Hyundai or any other company or organization to date as it was just recently experienced. I recently put unscreened millings on the road end of my gravel driveway. When coming to a slow stop before entering the public road I now experience the brake vibration or chattering with deminished braking responce. Fortunately, I have not experienced this while driving on a public road in 35,000 miles.
Was driving on the freeway today when I heard a crazy exploding sound. I thought it was a gunshot. Then I heard stuff falling off the roof of my car. Apparently my sunroof spontaneously exploded which was Terrifying!!!
My 2023 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy which I bought in July 2023 failed to start in May 2024 inside my house garage. It had an error message of "Check ESC" where ESC stands for electronic stability control. After trying a couple of more times to start it, it completely died. Had it tow to the dealer and after a few days in the dealer, they told me it was a dead battery. The car went from no warnings at all to completely being dead inside my garage. No explanation of why the battery did not warn of any issues or why a "check ESC" warning code was displayed instead of displaying a "low battery" code. A search in the internet shows an unbelievable amount of accounts of these Hyundai Palisades suddenly causing the car to die and an "check ESC" code showing immediately after the car dies down. There has to...
I have lost all confidence in this vehicle and my family, and I are scared to drive in (especially my 5 year old daughter). The mechanical failures that were experienced during these events were intense and life risking. During the first incident the vehicle brakes engaged while driving and caused the vehicle to stall in the middle of an intersection while turning left to enter highway, numerous vehicles were traveling in opposite direction and could have resulted in head on collision. No systems worked during this event, neither the horn nor the headlights worked to signal other vehicles of problem. Had to slam on the gas, which led to violent vehicle take off, that jolted my daughter around in her car seat and narrowly avoided collision with other vehicles. That was on [XXX], and similar events happened on [XXX] and [XXX]. Video and pictures of event were taken as they...
Air bag light will intermittently turn on in the digital cluster while driving.
I have bought this 2023 hyundai palisade and the blue link button and the SOS EMERGENCY BUTTO do not work at all and I cannot get connected with the SOS emergency services in case of a crash or a medical emergency and that is a huge safety issue . I contacted hyundai blue link and hyundai customer service and it’s been 45 days with NO resolution yet and they don know how to fix this issue and cannot fix this issue . I want hyundai to open a recall on the blue link button and the sos button to fix it and repair this defect . Also I am enrolled in blue link till 1/26/2026 but t shows on the screen in my car that the blue link has expired on 12/31/2023 and that is wrong
I bought a 2023 hyundai palisade calligraphy and I found out the seat controls do not work and the air condition doesn’t work but they were fixed but the most important thing is the BLUE LINK BUTTON WHERE THE REAR VIEW MIRROR IS inside the car that I need in case of an emergency doesn’t work at all and doesn’t connect to hyundai blue link . I called hyundai manufacturer and I called hyundai blue link several times and their stupid engineers couldn’t fix the problem and I went to the dealership and their service dept and they couldn’t fix the issue . This is a brand new car that the blue link inside it doesn’t work at all and I paid for 3 years service .i push the blue link butto then it connects then it ends with no ring tone and no one on the other side ....
On three separate occasions while driving the car has shut off while driving. The car and dashboard completely shut off, as well as the radio. This is while driving! The car was in drive and then just shut off with no warning or indication. I've taken the car to be seen by a Hyundai Mechanic and the car had a starter replacement. Yet, the issue has continued. This has put my safety and the safety of others at risk as the car cuts off mid-traffic. I am no longer able to brake or accelerate. The check-ESC message comes up when attempting to restart, but there is no warning or indication that comes on before the vehicle completely shuts down. I feel extremely unsafe. The dealership says it is hard to see codes because this happens mid-drive. Multiple Hyundai Owners, specifically 2023 Palisade Model owners have posted and reported this issue...
cant get a serviced till 2024 so i guess ill burn and die
1. A. Dashboard digital display fades to black. Inability to see speed, meters, gauges, and malfunction graphics on the instrument cluster display. B. When phone charging through console USB port, the entire center console heats up excessively and smells like burning plastic; wiring. Stopped using center USB port to eliminate issue. C. When car put into Drive or Reverse from Park, loud clunking lurch occurs. When stopped at light and the stop idle engaged, the car lurches and makes loud clunking noise. Transmission seems to shift erratically. Turn the stop idle function off every time to avoid issue. 2. A. Dash display going black on highway is a huge safety risk not being able to see any important meters; gauges; warning graphics. The last time it occurred on the freeway going through Camp Pendleton and was frightening. It did come back on once I exited freeway. B. The console heating...
First issue was engine misfire and loss of power while on the highway in the middle of no where. Car eventually died and was restarted. It happened twice at around 1700 miles on the odometer. Second issue is when the rear panoramic sunroof spontaneously exploded. I’m very thankful my daughter was not in the rear seat, as this happened while driving normal speeds. Sounded like gun shot. The sunroof spontaneously combusting seems to be a problem dating back to 2018 according to other reports online. Mine is a 2023.
Passenger door showing it is open at all times, makes an alert noise while driving. Also can not lock doors because of issue. Can not lock door even when parked and vehicle is off. Brand new car with 1600 miles. And I get door open alerts after I turn the car off
I purchased my Hyndai Palisade on 06/14/2023 from Temecula Hyundai. We had the car for a week and then the car sat for three days. I went to get in it and found the battery was completely drained. Jump started the car and drove for two days. Going to leave my house and the battery was again drained. Took the car to the dealership and they said I had a bad battery. They replaced it. Took the car home. The following week we had the same issue, drained battery. Took the car back to the dealership. They had the car for two weeks and said a junction box was bad and causing a parasitic drain. They replaced the junction box and we got the car back. Drove the car for a week and went to Laughlin. The car was parked for two days and the car would not start. Completely...
Car only has 1400 miles on it and is brand new. The engine for the car wont start when utilizing the push button within the car or app. The engine will only start by using the key fob. Initially we thought it was the battery, but after being able to turn the car on from the key fob, it was confirmed it was not the battery. Additionally, the car will randomly shut off when it is on. You can be driving the car and it will just shut off. The dealer service group upon initial drop off said they had never seen this before, but then they said it might relate to the push button and push transmission gears on the car, as they had seen this before on some of the newer hyundai models, just never the Palisade. They made it sound like the technology that is behind the...
My sensors have been having issues since the day I bought my car march 5 2023. It would be intermittent, and became constant. The error reads, "check parking distance warning system" as well as "ultrasonic sensor error or blockage" and my sensors are clean. Nothing blocking them whatsoever. It's constant. I went to my dealership for them to say someone may have hit my car while I was I. The grocery store. Shouldn't there be some serious damage? I don't lcoe the lying. And I don't love how they tried to get me to pay because me sensors wouldn't even calibrate. They said anything could knock them out of wack because hyundai sensors are super sensitive. Well then they need tk be less sensitive. My car is garage kept, barley leaves the house currently has only 2000 miles after having the car for 2 months now.
All vehicle safety sensors going off at once. Speedometer indicated car is going 0mph while car is clearly being driven
Reverse and 360 degree camera system stopped working at 818 miles, 1-1/2 months. Unable to utilize safety features the camera system provides (e.g., items in rear of vehicle when backing up, items at sides and front of vehicle when going forward.
Vehicle will not start and all dealership can say is it appears to be electrical
I purchased this vehicle on 9/17 and since day 1 the infotainment system will not turn on when starting the car. It has a digital instrument display and infotainment which control 90% of the vehicle functions. I have opened a case with Hyundai # 20328505 who took 2 weeks t call me and had no resolution other than to let the dealer handle it. I have been to the dealer 3 times now and they can't figure out what the issue is. This is a major safety issue if I can't tell how fast I'm going and or the safety functions don't work.
