I PURCHASED MY CAR NEW FROM RYAN FORD IN SEALY TX AND IMMEDIATELY STARTED HAVING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. I TOOK MY CAR BACK AND THEY ADJUSTED MY CLUTCH. THAT SAME DAY, THE CAR MADE A LOUD NOISE AND FELT LIKE THE BOTTOM WAS COMING OUT AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE TOLL. I TOOK MY CAR BACK AGAIN AND THEY KEPT MY CAR FOR A WEEK. THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. FAST FORWARD, I CONTACTED FORD AND THEY ASKED ME TO CALL FORD RELATIONS. I TOLD FORD RELATIONS THAT IT WAS JERKING AND HESITATING. SO I TOOK MY CAR TO AUTONATION FORD HERE IN KATY, TX. THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY AND THE CLUTCH. I TOOK MY CAR BACK TO AUTONATION FORD AND EXPLAINED TO THE TRANSMISSION GENTLEMAN THAT MY DAD AND MY BOYFRIEND HAD DRIVEN MY CAR AND SAID THE TRANSMISSION WAS SLIPPING. THE SERVICE MAN...
HAVE HAD 5 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS WERE CAR WOULD JURK VIOLENTLY ON TAKE OFF . EACH TIME THE FORD DEALER WOULD JUST RESET TIMING THAT WOULD LAST 3MO THAN I HAVE TO TAKE IT BACK TO DEALER TO HAVE IT FIXED AGAIN HAVE APPT TO GO BACK TO DEALER FOR THE 6TH TIME IN 2YEARS . NEVER GETTING IT FIXED FOR GOOD .. THEY TOLD ME FORD WILL NOT REPLACE MY TRANSMISSION. ALL THEY CAN DO IT RECALIBRATE IT ... I AM NOW TAKING IT BACK EVERY 6MO TO GET FIXED . CAR HAS DELAYED QUICK ACCELERATION AND JERKING WHEN GOING FROM A STOP. WILL JERK IN ACCELERATION WHILE DRIVING AS WELL. OCCASIONALLY JERKING HAPPENS WHEN PULLING OUT FROM A PARKING LOT OR TURNING DOWN A STREET WHEN ON COMING TRAFFIC IS COMING THIS MAKES ME WORRIED BECAUSE IT COULD CAUSE A POTENTIAL ACCIDENT IF MY CAR DOES NOT GO WHEN I WANT IT TO GO AND THEN GOES WHEN IT SHOULDN'T GO. I HAVE TO LEAVE A LOT OF TIME SPACE WHEN ACCELERATING IN CERTAIN CONDITIONS. IT'S BEEN HAPPENING FOR 3 YEARS BUT HAS GOTTEN MORE AGGRESSIVE AND HASN'T CHANGED.
MY TRANSMISSION DOES NOT SHIFT PROPERLY ANS EVERYONE THAT I KNOW THAT HAS THIS SAME TYPE OF VEHICLE IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. WHEN YOU TAKE OFF THE TRANS DOESNT SHIFT RIGHT.
CAR SPUTTERS, HESITATES, MAKES CLINKING NOISES WHEN ACCELERATING. ENTIRE FRONT END INCLUDING STEERING WHEEL SHAKES AND VEHICLE HESTITATES WHEN GIVEN GAS. WHEN STOPPED CAR RANDOMLY IDLES WITHOUT USING GAS PEDAL, EVEN COMPLETELY LOSES POWER AS IF OUT OF GAS REQUIRING CAR TO BE RESTARTED. ENGINE ALSO SHIFTS GEARS LATE IN RPM SEQUENCE. I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR OUT OF POCKET THE ISSUE RELATED TO THE GAS CYCLINDER WHICH IS THE OPEN RECALL AND THESE PROBLEMS CONTINUE TO PERSIST. PROBLEM HAS PERSISNTED EVERY DAY SINCE DATE SELECTED WHIHC IS WHEN I PURCHASED VEHICLE.
18S32 MANUFACTURER RECALL & 18V735 NHTSA RECALL. THIS RECALL WAS FIRST POSTED APPROXIMATELY 8.5 MONTHS AGO AND I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT BRINGING IT IN FOR REPAIR. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN AND I HAVE A CHILD I TRANSPORT IN IT DAILY. I WANT AND NEED THIS RECALL RESOLVED ASAP AS I WILL SOON BE TRANSPORTING ANOTHER YOUNG CHILD. TOOK MY CAR FOR TCM REPAIR - DEALERSHIP FOUND ANOTHER SENSOR ISSUE NEEDING TO BE REPLACED 4 DAYS LATER TRANSMISSION FAULT SERVICE NOW AND HILLSIDE ASSIST UNAVAILABLE ERRORS CAME ON. WHEN ACCELORATING FROM A STOP THE CAR HAS A HARD TIME SHIFTING GEARS. CAR IS BACK AT DEALERSHIP BUT THE MECHANICS AND SERVICE DIRECTOR SAY THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH ISSUES. THIS VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH THE 6 SPEED TRANSMISSION THAT FORD AS HAD SO MUCH TROUBLE WITH, HOWEVER THEY WILL NOT REPAIR THE PROBLEM THAT CAUSES THE SHUDDER AS THEY SAY IT FALLS OUT OF THE BUILD DATES. THE CAR ONLY HAS 80,000 MILES ON IT AND SHOULD NOT BE HAVING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. I HAVE HAD A FAULTY TRANSMISSION SINCE THE DAY I BOUGHT THE CAR AND AS A SINGLE MOTHER, I CAN NOT AFFORD TO BRING THE CAR IN FOR SERVICING EVERY OTHER DAY. THIS TRANSMISSION IS DANGEROUS. UPON ACCELERATION MY CAR WILL SKIP AND JUMP. I AM TOLD BY A FORD DEALERSHIP THAT THE CLUTCH HAS TO BE REPLACED AND STOP AT ANY POINT WHILE DRIVING. KING STREET HONOLULU, HI 96817 FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND TOLD THEM ABOUT IT ALSO TOLD THEM I GOT A RECALL LETTER IN THE MAIL AND SHOWED IT TO THEM BUT ALL I GOT WAS "OH YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THAT RIGHT NOW"! RECENTLY I HAVE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT THE RECALL AND STILL NOTHING. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE AND VERY RUDE.I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO SO THE ONLY THING I CAN DO IS CALL THEM EVERY WEEK AND ASK ABOUT THE RECALL.

THE "DRY" CLUTCH WENT OUT AS I WAS DRIVING UPHILL, REDUCING MY MOVEMENT TO A JERKING, STUTTERING MOTION THAT JUST BARELY ALLOWED ME TO DRIVE TO DEALERSHIP. THIS CLUTCH FAILURE FOLLOWS MONTHS OF STUTTERING, JERKING AT LOW SPEEDS AS IF THE CAR WOULD STALL. TAKING THE CAR FOR REGULAR MAINTENANCE FOUND "NOTHING WRONG." THIS CLUTCH HAD ALREADY BEEN REPLACED ONCE AT ONLY 26,700 MILES .FOCUS HAD 68,000 MILES WHEN IT WANT BAD AGAIN. DEALERSHIP REPORTS SEEING MANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS "DRY" CLUTCH. FORD WILL NOT RECOGNIZE DANGER ASSOCIATED WITH IT.

THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE FUEL PURGE VALVE GETTING STUCK AND NOT ALLOWING MY CAR TO STAY ON AFTER TURNING MY CAR ON IT WILL RUN FOR 5 TO 10 SECONDS BEFORE IT STALLS DUE TO LOSS OF FUEL. IVE HAD MY LUG NUTS SWALLON AND UNABLE TO CHANGE MY OWN TIRE. ON THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. NAIL IN MY TIRE. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY THE CLAMPED 2 TIMES THAT THEY FIXED MY LUG NUTS AND NEVER DID. IVE SPOKE TO SEVERAL OTHER FOCUS OWNERS AND HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. THE POWER TRAIN CLUTCH HAS BEEN REPLACED 4 TIMES IN THE LAST THREE IN A HALF YEARS. IVE HAD MY CAR STALL OUT IN ME SEVERAL TIMES AT A STOP LIGHT. IT TAKES IT A MINUTE TO SLIP INTO REVERSE. I CONTACTED FORD REGARDING SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 18S07 / NHTSA RECALL 18V-169 AND ASKED WHY MY VIN NUMBER WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL. MY FORD FOCUS 2015 WAS MANUFACTURED ON MARCH 20, 2015, IN THE SAME MICHIGAN PLANT AND IS EXPERIENCING THE SAME CLUTCH SHUDDERING AS DESCRIBED IN YOUR RECALL NOTICE. FORD'S ANSWER WAS THAT VIN NUMBERS ARE THE SOLE METHOD FOR DETERMINING RECALLS. THEY CLEARLY DID NOT THROW THE NET FAR ENOUGH TO COVER THEIR QUALITY AND DESIGN ISSUES. AFFECTED VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 1.0L FOX GTDI OR 1.6L SIGMA GTDI ENGINES WITH B6 MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS MAY EXPERIENCE CLUTCH SLIP WHICH CAN LEAD TO A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. THE CAR WAS TOWED ON 9/28/2018 TO SUBURBAN FORD DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE. INITIALLY, THE THINKING WAS THE TRANSMISSION MODULE (TCM) NEEDED SERVICING, HOWEVER THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT INFORMS ME THAT THE DUEL-CLUTCH COMPONENT IS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDS REPLACING. I FURTHER UNDERSTAND THAT I'M NOT ALONE WITH THIS ISSUE. THE CAR HAS 62,056 MILES ON THE ROAD AND HAS HAD TYPICAL MAINTENANCE (TIRES, OIL CHANGE, ETC.).
