TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH, THE SERVICE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. IN ADDITION, THE TRANSMISSION HESITATED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THE DOOR POPPED OPEN WITHOUT WARNING AND COULD NOT BE CLOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR LATCHES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, THERE WAS A MANUFACTURERS RECALL ON THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED FOR THE FAILURES DUE TO THE PARTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,000.
I THE CAR SHOOK REALLY BAD, WOULD NOT GO UP A HILL OR GOING FROM STOP TO START THE CAR WOULD STALL. THE DEALERSHIP WAS CALLED AND NOTHING WAS DONE UNTIL LAST YEAR. THE CAR SHOOK AND WAS STILL STALLING. THIS YEAR THERE WAS AN EVEN BIGGER ISSUE WITH THE CAR AND THEY REMOVED THE ENTIRE COMPUTER FROM THE CAR. NOW THERE IS NO ISSUE BUT I WISH THEY WOULD FIX THIS ISSUE BECAUSE AS OF TODAY I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER FORD VEHICLE.
AFTER DRIVING UP A STEEP HILL SEVERAL TIMES, THE SHIFT CHANGE BECAME ROUGH, AND THE CAR OFTEN SHUDDERED WHEN ACCELERATING AT A LOW SPEED LIKE A POORLY DRIVEN STICK SHIFT VEHICLE. THE CLUTCH WAS REPLACED ONCE, BUT THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 10,000 MILES AFTER THE CLUTCH WAS REPLACED.

THE FAILURE WAS RECURRING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS REPAIRED UNDER A MANUFACTURERS RECALL BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000.
THE CAR STOTTERS AND I GET A SHUTTER NOISE BETWEEN 10AND30MPH. IT SCARES ME TO DEATH THAT IT IS GOING TO STOP. I HAVE HAD 4FORDS BEFORE, NEVER NEW AND VERY HIGH MILEAGE AND NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM. FOR A NEW CAR IT ABSOLUTELY CAUSES ME MUCH ANQUISH. I HAVE HAD IT CHECKED TWICE. I ONLY HAVE 8,280 MILES ON IT AND BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW MAY, 2013. I WAS DRIVING ON A STREET IN MY FIESTA AND WAS AT A STOP. WHEN I PRESSED THE GAS TO GO AGAIN THE VEHICLE JERKED FORWARD MORE QUICKER THEN USUAL AND BUMPED THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I HAVE HAD THIS CAR IN THE SHOP 5 TIMES FOR TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS AND NO ONE IS FIXING IT. I WAS IN ANOTHER ACCIDENT RECENTLY WHEN I PRESSED THE GAS AND THE CAR DID NOT ACCELERATE WHILE I WAS TURNING IN FRONT OF TRAFFIC. I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED, MY CAR WAS HIT DUE TO ME NOT ACCELERATING. *TR
I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS AND AFTER ONLY 15000 MILES MY CAR HAS MADE A RATTLING NOISE. I NOTICED AS OF LATELY A JERKING/STALLING FEELING AS I ACCELERATE. I WAS CONTACTED BY A LAW OFFICE NOTIFYING ME OF TRANSMISSION ISSUES OF RATTING/JERKING/STALLING/ AND TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN ORDER TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION REPAIRED FOR FREE OR TO GET A COMPLETELY NEW VEHICLE. I HAVE ALMOST STALLED OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC IN ALL DIRECTIONS. THIS IS NOT SAFE.
TOO MANY RECALLS ON THIS CAR. ONLY HAVE HAD IT FOR 7 MONTHS. THEY HAVE SENT SEVERAL RECALL SLIPS SAYING THAT DIFFERENT PARTS NEED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT SOME THINGS ARE WRONG WITH THE ENGINE AND NOW I FOUND THAT THE CAR WILL NOT CUT OFF EVEN WHEN THE KEY IS OUT OF THE IGNITION. MY DAUGHTER IS 4 MONTHS PREGNANT AND SHE HAS A 7 MONTH OLD THAT RIDES IN THE CAR AS WELL AND I WOULD HATE FOR THIS TO TURN INTO A LAW SUIT FOR HONDA AND FORD. I PURCHASED A 2013 FORD FIESTA IN JULY OF 2013. THE FIRST TWO WEEKS I WAS DRIVING IT, I NOTICED JERKING, LUNGING, AND SHUTTERING WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE FROM LOW SPEEDS OR FROM A STOPPED POSITION. SOON THEREAFTER, A METAL NOISE STARTED FROM THE ENGINE AREA. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID I HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE "CLUTCH" IN THE TRANSMISSION AND IT WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. IT TOOK A WHILE (11 DAYS) TO GET THE PART IN, BUT THE WORK WAS DONE. SEVERAL WEEKS LATER THE PROBLEM STARTED AGAIN. I DROVE THE CAR AS IT WAS BECAUSE I NEEDED IT FOR MY BUSY JOB. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE, A 2013 FORD FIESTA TITANIUM HATCHBACK ON MAY 28, 2013. I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH IT SINCE I PURCHASED IT, ESPECIALLY WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND NOW THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. I JUST RECEIVED A RECALL ON THE LOCKING MECHANISMS FOR THE DOORS. THEY COULD BECOME UNLOCKED ANYTIME. THERE HAVE BEEN VARIOUS RECALLS AND UPDATES TO THE CAR. HOWEVER THEY HAVE NO PARTS AT THIS POINT TO CORRECT THE PROBLEMS. THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY CORRECTED BUT NO PERMANENT FIX. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE JERKED, FAILED TO ACCELERATE, AND THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000.
WHILE TRAVELING AT 55 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY MY FORD FIESTA STARTED TO NOT SHIFT UP OR DOWN AND SEEMED A BIT STUCK. AFTER TAKING IT TO THE DEALER THEY REPROGRAMMED THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE. ONLY A COUPLE MONTHS LATER THE CAR STARTED TO HAVING TROUBLE WITH GEAR SHIFTING AT LOW AND HIGH SPEEDS AND ALSO SEEMS TO SLIP WHEN TRYING TO SHIFT. CAR HAS REPEATEDLY COME CLOSE TO STALLING AND HAS LOST ALMOST ALL POWER AT VARIOUS TIMES. THE CAR DEALER NOW SAYS IT NEEDS A NEW CLUTCH AND IT WILL TAKE 16 WEEKS FOR IT TO ARRIVE. UNTIL THEN I AM NOT TO DRIVE IT LONG DISTANCES. VERY DANGEROUS CAR, I AM AFRAID I WILL BE HIT TRYING TO TURN BECAUSE THE ENGINE WILL LOSE POWER AT THE WRONG TIME.
EVER SINCE I BOUGHT THIS CAR BACK IN JULY OF 2013 IT HAS HAD TRANSMISSION ISSUES. IT FAILS TO ACCELERATE QUICKLY, INSTEAD JUST GRINDS GEARS AND VIOLENTLY SHAKES. FORD SUPPOSEDLY "FIXED" THIS 6 MONTHS AGO, WITH THE END RESULT BEING ACTUALLY WORSE. I WAS TOLD IT NEEDED ANOTHER PART (CLUTCH) AND HAVE BEEN WAITING 6 WEEKS FOR IT, WHICH IS HOW LONG THEY SAID IT WOULD BE. I JUST CALLED AND THEY SAID THIS IS SUCH A BIG ISSUE THAT THERE WERE 35,000 OF THESE PARTS ON BACK ORDER AND IT WOULD BE ANOTHER 12 WEEKS AT LEAST UNTIL THIS ISSUE IS FIXED. WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR OF OWNING THIS CAR, THE TRANSMISSION STARTED DISPLAYING SIGNS OF DEFECTIVENESS. IT BEGAN EXHIBITING A GRINDING NOISE WHEN IN LOW GEARS. AS MILEAGE INCREASED (~12,000 MI), IT STARTED NOT SHIFTING PROPERLY WITH EITHER HESITATION, SKIPPING OR JOLTING FORWARD. NOW (~25,000MI), THE VEHICLE IS SHUTTERING AND VIBRATING IN LOW GEARS (1 & 2). ON 02/27/2015 MY FORD FIESTA WITH 20,904 MILES WAS TAKEN IN FOR A TRANSMISSION ISSUE THAT BECAME POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATENING. WHEN MY WIFE APPROACHED AN INTERSECTION TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN AND CAME TO A STOP THE ENGINE BEGAN TO SHUTTER AND BOG DOWN. THE IDLE PICKED UP BUT THE ENGINE ALMOST STALLED. TOOK THE CAR IN AND THEY GAVE US A RENTAL. THE TECH CALLED YESTERDAY TO SAY THEY ARE WORKING IN IT (DAY 2) THEN THEY CALL THIS MORNING TO SAY WHAT IT IS DOING IS NORMAL. I TOLD THEM IT IS NOT NORMAL FOR A CAR TO JUST LOSE MOMENTUM THEN WHEN IT DOES GO IT LURCHES FORWARD AND STARTS GOING REAL FAST. THERE IS A PROBLEM EITHER WITH THE ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION. I HAD JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR FOUR DAYS PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. I WAS ACCELERATING FROM A STOPPED POSITION (STOP LIGHT). THE LADY I SPOKE TO MENTIONED THAT MY CAR IS PART OF A RECALL, AND THAT THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. A YEAR AND A HALF AGO I BROUGHT MY CAR, 2013 FORD FIESTA IN FOR A REGULAR OIL CHANGE AND THE SHOP NOTIFIED ME TO BRING CAR TO FORD DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY FOR A MAJOR OIL LEAK FIX, WHICH, I HAD THOUGHT WAS THE REASON FOR MY CAR SPUTTERING AND HESITATING FROM A COMPLETE STOP TO ACCELERATION. FORD FIXED OIL LEAK AND REPORT HAD ALSO CLAIMED THE TRANSMISSION WAS REMOVED TO CLEAN UP "CONTAMINATED CLUTCH". AFTER, MY CAR SEEMED TO RUN SMOOTHER AND ACCELERATION AND SPUTTER WAS ALLEVIATED. A MONTH LATER MY CAR BEGAN INTENSELY SPUTTERING AND IN A COUPLE INSTANCES WOULD BEGIN TO ACCELERATE THEN COMPLETELY STOP EVEN THOUGH MY FOOT WAS ON THE GAS PEDAL. I'VE HAD THE CAR FOR TWO YEARS. I'VE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT THE CAR "SHUTTERING" ISSUE FOR A YEAR AND A HALF. WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR I COMPLAINED ABOUT IT THEY SAID THAT THEY WERE GETTING SIMILAR COMPLAINTS AND HANDED ME A FLYER FROM A STACK THAT THEY HAD READILY AVAILABLE AT THEIR DESK WHICH MENTIONS WHAT I'M EXPERIENCING IS NORMAL AND WILL GO AWAY WITH TIME.
