Headlights- the passenger side headlight would come on then go off whenever it wants to and now the low beam does not work. I have tested the connection and replaced the bulb several times and still does not work. When driving at night it makes it difficult to see. And is also against the law to not having working headlights. Trailer lights- the drivers side brake light/blinker on any trailer that’s hooked to my truck does not work. I have taken it the a local shop (street dynamics which is out of business now) several times over the last 5 years to see if they can fix the issue. The fix was to put a jumper wire from the truck brake light to the trailer connector. I still do not have a blinker on the driver side of the trailer. Windshield wipers- the windshield wipers will come on and off...
The TIPM module is bad. This part controls quite a bit of electrical current to various areas of the vehicle. It stalls when stopped at a traffic light, it is not sending the brake light information to an attached trailer (left side only), gauges inside the vehicle have stopped working (to name a few of the items being affected by this control). This part can be inspected as it is currently still on the vehicle. Safety is a concern due to either not being able to move out of the roadway, and also when pulling a trailer as no one will see turn signals or brake lights on the tow vehicle as the power isn't going to the trailer lights. I WAS DRIVING ON I-75 @70MPH, A LOUD BANG HAPPENED, TRUCK SHUT OFF, I GUIDED IT OFF THE ROAD. I HAD WIRES HANGING I LOOKED FURTHER AND SEEN THE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT BLEW APART. MY MECHANIC SAID IT HAD LOCKED UP. THE TRANSFER CASE, TRANSMISSION, FLOOR BOARD OF THE TRUCK WAS ALSO ALL DAMAGED. ALSO SAID I WAS LUCKY THAT THE TRUCK DID NOT CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. THIS TRUCK IS A 2006 DODGE RAM 2500 HD. WELL TAKEN CARE OF. NO GIVEN REASON WHY THIS HAPPENED. MY MECHANIC SAID HE HAS SEEN THIS MANY TIMES IN THE DODGE TRUCKS THAT THE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT BLOWS APART. TOTAL DAMAGES WILL BE THE COST OF $8,000-$10,000

AIRBAG LIGHT ON DURING TRIP HOME. AIRBAG INOPERABLE WHEN LIGHT IS ON.
COMPUTER CONTROLED VEHICLE CHARGING SYSTEM CAUSED THE PASSENGER SIDE BATTERY TO OVER CHARGE (DASH GAUGE INDICATING OVERCHARGING) AND SWELL CAUSING IRREPARABLE DAMAGE AND EXPLOSION OF THE BATTERY. THIS COULD HAVE STARTED AN ENGINE FIRE UNDER THE HOOD. FORTUNATELY IT DIDN'T. VEHICLE WAS ON MAIN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY WHEN THIS OCCURRED. I CONTACTED THE BATTERY MANUFACTURER THINKING IT WAS A BAD BATTERY, BUT THE TECHNICIAN STATED DODGE CHARGING SYSTEMS OF THIS PERIOD WIRED THE BATTERIES IN PARALLEL INCORRECTLY CAUSING THE AUX BATTERY TO OVERCHARGE WHILE THE MAIN BATTERY WAS READING UNDERCHARGED. "BATTERIES IN TRUE PARALLEL SHOULD BE CONNECTED NEGATIVE TERMINAL TO NEGATIVE TERMINAL AND POSITIVE TERMINAL TO POSITIVE TERMINAL." THE DODGE RAM 2500 24V CUMMINS I OWN (COMPLETELY STOCK) HAS THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL CABLE FROM EACH BATTERY CONNECTED DIRECTLY TO THE ENGINE BLOCK FOR GROUND. AND NOT CONNECTED TO EACH OTHER AT ALL. PT SD FROM ALL THE INFORMATION JUST BARELY PUT 50 00 MILES ON EACH YEAR
BEGINNING TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH INTERIOR LIGHTING SHORT CYCLING, SHUTTING OFF EARLY. SUSPECT THE TIPM IS GOING OUT.
THE HEADLIGHTS FAILED DUE TO THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (TIPM). RESEARCH REVEALS THAT THE TIPM FAILED ON MANY OF THE DODGE VEHICLES. THIS SYSTEM FAILURE IS A SAFETY HAZARD.
BOTH LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE INOPERATIVE. I HAVE A DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT MODULE THAT I INSTALLED IN 2007 WHICH STILL OPERATES BOTH LOW BEAMS AT A REDUCED POWER, SO THE BULBS ARE BOTH GOOD. BOTH HIGH BEAMS ARE OPERATIONAL. I NOTICED THAT WHEN I HAD THE LIGHT SWITCH IN THE ON POSITION ON 3/26/17 AFTER DARK AND TURNED OFF THE ENGINE WITH THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH STILL ON, THAT THE LOW BEAMS WE'RE NOT ON, BUT THE OTHER LIGHTS WERE ON. THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT MODULE ONLY POWERS THE LOW BEAMS WHEN THE IGNITION IS IN THE ON POSITION. IN RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE ONLINE, I FOUND THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE 2006 MODEL SINCE IT HAS A TIPM WHICH CONTROLS THE LIGHT AND OTHER FUNCTIONS. THE TIPM DOES NOT HAVE REPLACEABLE RELAYS OR RESETTING CIRCUIT BREAKERS FOR THE HEADLIGHTS WHICH ALLOW THE QUICK AND EASY REPAIR OR AUTOMATIC...
MY INTERMITTENT WIPERS FAIL, THEY STICK ON, OR WIPE RANDOMLY OR EVEN DON'T WORK AT ALL. THEY WILL STOP, TURN OFF AT ANY POINT DURING THE WIPE AT ANY POSITION, AND SOMETIMES WONT TURN OFF WHEN SWITCH IS OFF. DOESN'T MATTER WHAT SPEED OR DRIVING STYLE THAT THIS HAPPENS ON.
MULTIPLE REPAIRS TO THE FRONT END SUSPENSION OF THE VEHICLE, TO THE POINT THAT WE ARE NOW PAYING FOR THE REPAIRS AND THE DEALERSHIP DENYING THEY REPLACED THE MOST RECENT TRACK BAR ON THE TRUCK AND BLAME THE TIRES ON THE TRUCK. I AM REALLY TIRED OF RUNNING OFF INTO A DITCH AFTER HITTING A BUMP IN THE ROAD OR STEER TO MISS A POTHOLE. I HAVE A 2006 DODGE RAM 2500 THAT HAS A COUPLE ISSUES. THE LATEST IS NO LEFT LOW BEAM. THERE IS NO FUSE TO CHANGE EITHER. I AM TAKING MY TRUCK BACK TO THE SHOP TOMORROW TO HAVE MY UJOINTS REPLACED, ALL NEW SHOCKS, AND THE ABS/BRAKE SENSOR REPLACED FOR $1,100. THE INTERNET HAS TONS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE TIPM AND HOW IT SHUTS DOWN IF IT DRAWS TOO MANY AMPS. WELL YOU WOULD THINK A FUSE WOULD BE USED FOR THAT AND NOT HAVE TO REPLACE A $1000 COMPUTER BOARD. RIGHT NOW I CAN ONLY DRIVE DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS OR ONLY WITH THE HIGH BEAMS. CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY OVER A $1000 TO FIX A FAULTY DESIGN. DODGE SHOULD HAVE TO CREATE A FIX OR REPAIR OUR VEHICLES.

THERE IS NOTHING TO INDICATE THAT THE TRAILER LAMPS AREN'T WORKING EXCEPT TO PHYSICALLY OBSERVE THEM. ISSUE: LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT BULBS QUIT WORKING, AFTER SEVERAL REPLACEMENTS, INSTALLING NEW BULBS (LAMPS) DOES NOT REPAIR THE ISSUE. THE VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS NO LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS, THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS. NOT DRIVABLE AT NIGHT. TIPM (TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE) IS AT FAULT ACCORDING TO DODGE TECHNICIAN. THE LEFT (DRIVERS SIDE) LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT WENT OUT IN 2007, I REPLACED THE HEADLAMP BULB. OK. THE RIGHT (PASSENGER SIDE) LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT WENT OUT IN EARLY 2008. I REPLACED THE HEADLAMP BULB. OK. IN 2012 ,BOTH LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT. I REPLACED BOTH LAMPS.OK. IN 2013, THE RIGHT (PASSENGERS SIDE) LOW BEAM HEADLAMP WENT OUT. I REPLACED THE RIGHT (PASSENGERS SIDE) LOW BEAM LAMP, BUT THE LIGHT STILL DOES NOT WORK. I TOOK TO SHOP, AND THEY ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR, BUT COULD NOT LOCATE ISSUE. THEY SAID, NO FUSES TO REPLACE, IT HAS A TIPM MODULE THAT...
RECURRENT ELECTRICAL ISSUES, THAT DO NOT INVOLVE BLOWN FUSES OR BULBS. ENGINE DIAGNOSTIC CODES HAVE INDICATED TIPM PROBLEMS AND I HAVE HAD TO "ERASE CODES" TO RESTORE FUNCTIONALITY. THEN 2-3 MONTHS LATER RECURRENT PROBLEMS, ABNORMAL CODES AND ERASURE RESTORES FUNCTION. CODE DESCRIPTION INDICATES THAT THE TIPM WILL ONLY ALLOW 6 OR 8 RESETS ( DO NOT RECALL EXACT NUMBER) BEFORE TIPM WILL 'LOCK UP' AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. DESCRIPTION OF EPISODES: > RECURRENT MALFUNCTION OF INSTRUMENT LIGHTS. SUDDENLY ALL DASH LIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS SHUT OFF, YET BRAKE LIGHTS, HEADLIGHTS AND HAZARD LIGHTS REMAIN ON. HOWEVER, FOG LIGHTS CANNOT BE TURNED OFF, EVEN AFTER HEADLIGHTS OFF. THE DASH LIGHTS THEN FLASHED 4 TIMES, REMAINED OUT 2-3 MINS THEN FLASHED 4 TIMES. IN ADDITION TO THE LIGHTING PROBLEMS, THE VEHICLE BEGAN MISFIRING AND EVENTUALLY STALLED. WOULD NOT RESTART. ACTED LIKE NO SPARK AVAILABLE TO CYLINDERS. 5 MINS LATER, TRUCK STARTED...

2006 DODGE RAM POWER WAGON, FIRST THE TRUCK STARTED WHEN IT WANT TO, WE WOULD HOLD THE KEY SEVERAL TIMES AND IT WOULD START, THEN AFTER ABOUT A WEEK THE TRUCK WOULD NOT TURN ON AT ALL: REPLACED BATTERY REPLACED STARTED REPLACED ALTERNATOR CHECK THE ELECTRONICS IN THE STEERING COLUMN A FRIEND CAME AND CHECK IT ON HIS COMPUTER AND IT SAID OVER VOLTAGE HE RESET THE COMPUTER AND IT STARTED. THE TIPM MODULE FAILED AND LEFT HEADLIGHT WENT OUT AT NIGHT. REPAIR SHOP DID TEMPORARY BYPASS LEFT SIDE TIPM OUTPUT FOR LOW BEAM. HEADLIGHTS FAILED COMPLETELY ON BOTH SIDES, HIGH BEAM AND LOW BEAM IN AUGUST 2014. REPLACED TIPM ASSEMBLY ON 9/19/14, $924.99 FOR PARTS AND $112.50 FOR LABOR. *TR
DRIVER'S HEADLIGHT WILL NOT WORK EVEN AFTER PUTTING IN A NEW BULB, RADIO INTERMITTENTLY COMES ON AND GOES OFF AND THE TRAILER LIGHTS WILL NOT STAY ON. VEHICLE CHECKED OUT BY A CERTIFIED REPAIR SHOP AND THEIR FINDINGS POINTED DIRECTLY TO A DEFECTIVE INTEGRATED FUSE MODULE BOX IN MY 2006 DODGE RAM 2500. REQUESTING TO FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT AND TO JOIN ANY CLASS ACTION SUITS IN PLACE TO HELP OFF SET AN ESTIMATED REPAIR BILL OF AROUND $1,000.00 BY A LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP. THE PART A LONE IS $704 AND IT IS SET BY CHRYSLER AND THERE IS NO FINDING A CHEAPER PRICE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 DODGE RAM 2500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND GAUGES FAILED. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. BOTH THE DEALER AND AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC STATED THAT THE POWER DISTRIBUTION CENTER NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 217,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THESE TRUCKS HAVE BEEN SOLD WITH FAULTY ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS THAT DODGE HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO CORRECT WITH OUT COSTING THE OWNERS THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. THE TPIM MODULE CONSTANTLY NEEDS TO BE REFLASHED AND REPLACED TO KEEP YOUR TRUCKS ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WORKING. THEY HAVE DESIGNED THIS SYSTEM SO THAT THE CONSUMER CANNOT REPAIR OR EVEN INSPECT THE SYSTEM WHICH I BELIEVE IS A VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW. ALL OF THESE VEHICLES HAVE ISSUES WITH THE MODULE AND DODGE HAS MADE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS BECAUSE OF THEIR FAULTY PART. THIS MODULE AFFECTS LIGHTS, WIPERS, A/C, CRANKING SYSTEM ETC... THE BLINKERS ARE ERRATIC. THE LEFT BLINKER COMES ON WHEN THE RIGHT IS APPLIED AND VISE VERSA. THE BLINKERS WILL SWITCH SIDES IN THE MIDDLE OF A TURN AND AT TIMES THEY WILL BOUNCE BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN RIGHT AND LEFT TURN. THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL JUST TURN THEMSELVES OFF AT TIMES AND OR SPEED UP AND SLOW DOWN BY THEMSELVES AT TIMES. SEEMS VERY DANGEROUS AND A RECALL SHOULD BE CONSIDERED. WHEN EVER I USE MY BLINKERS GOING RIGHT OR LEFT THEY DON'T ALWAYS TURN ON IN THE DIRECTION I'VE ASKED THEM TO. THEY WILL GO FROM RIGHT TO LEFT QUICKLY AND BACK AND FORTH.
