The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and attempting to accelerate, the transmission was slipping while shifting to second gear, and the vehicle lost motive power and failed to respond with the RPM elevated. The message to “Shift to Park and Restart” was displayed. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 126,000.

SIMILARLY PROBLEM WAS EXPERIENCED IN MAY 2019, WHEN THE REPAIR SHOP IDENTIFIED AND REPLACED A FAULTY BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE). I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP ABOUT A MONTH ( JUNE 2019), FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND THE DEALERSHIP IDENTIFIED THE WIRING HARNESS TO BE FAULTY.
