TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V634000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), 14V363000 (ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL) AND 15V461000 (EQUIPMENT); HOWEVER,THE PARTS NEEDED FOR THE RECALL REPAIR WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
PURCHASED VEHICLE 31 DECEMBER 2013. ACTUALLY GOT VEHICLE ABOUT SIX DAYS LATER. ON 22 JANUARY 2014, I PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK AT THE END OF MY DRIVEWAY SO I COULD CHECK THE MAIL. WHILE WALKING BACK TO THE VEHICLE FORM THE MAILBOX, THE VEHICLE STARTING BACKING UP A HILL ON ITS OWN. I HAD TO RUN NEXT TO THE VEHICLE, HANGING PARTIALLY INSIDE THE CAB, TO ATTEMPT TO SHUT OFF VEHICLE. VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHUT OFF. I HAD TO PUSH DOWN EMERGENCY BRAKE WITH MY HAND IN ORDER TO GET VEHICLE TO STOP. VEHICLE ALSO HAS USED ACTIVE BRAKING FEATURE AND THE ACTIVE BRAKING ALARM HAS SOUNDED TO INFORM ME THAT I WAS TOO CLOSE TO A VEHICLE, THOUGH THERE WAS NO VEHICLE IN SITE (THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES). VEHICLE RANDOMLY STARTS ON IT OWN. VEHICLE ALSO REMOTE STARTS ON ITS OWN. SOMETIMES THE VEHICLE STATES IT IS...
