AS IT WOULD SEEM IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM, THE OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT HAS FAILED AND LEAKS OIL ON AND INTO THE HARNESS PLUG. UPON RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE THIS SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE AND CAN PRESENT BOTH A COSTLY FIX AND A FIRE HAZARD. WHILE DRIVING THE OIL PRESSURE WARNING INDICATOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED INDICATING AN ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE'S OIL PRESSURE. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH THAT THE DEALER I BOUGHT IT FROM CHANGED THE FUEL PUMP RIGHT AFTER I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE I RAN OUT OF FUEL ON A TRIP TO OHIO FROM ILLINOIS BUT IT DIDN'T FIX THE ISSUE. I ONLY DRIVE IT IN TOWN BECAUSE I'M AFRAID OF RUNNING OUT OF FUEL. APPARENTLY THIS IS VERY COMMON WITH THIS VEHICLE AND I FEEL THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL. DROVE A NUMBER OF MONTHS WITH LIGHT ON KNOWING IT WAS A NEW GASCAP AND IT NEEDED A SMOKE TEST TO FIND THE LEAK. HAD ALTERNATOR REPLACED AND ALSO A NEW RIGHT SIDE FUEL PUMP WITH THE FUEL HOSE FROM VENT ON PRIMARY TO FUEL PUMP VENT NIPPLE ON OTHER SIDE. THEY WERE AMAZED THAT I HADN'T SMELLED FUEL LEAKING.
