Just few minutes ago around 5:45 PM, Monday, September 8th 2025. I started my engine with the remote start in my drive way. After about 30 seconds there was a series of 3 or 4 violent explosions each with a 1 or two second interval. The driver side, passenger side and both side air bags deployed fracturing my windshield and causing other potential internal damage to the passenger compartment. I feel very fortunate that I wasn't seated in the vehicle at the time as I'm sure I could have been severely injured or potentially killed. I had taken the car in for an air-bag recall a couple of years ago at Good Chevrolet in Renton, WA.

i have an 07 chevy silverado 1500 it has a rusted fram the dealer i got it from sed it had a littel rust on the fram .he also told me that the traction control senser needed to be replaced.but he did not tell me about the passenger sied wheel hub i have put in right around $ 1,800 on new parts & labor i had to have the wiering all redone.now it is going to cost me onther $ 959.95 to fix the fram.thats not counting the brakits for the fule tank.or tghe brackits for the shocks.i could really need your help i am disabled & i do not get that much.so any help you can give me i would greatly appreciaet it.thank you
I received a recall notice on my truck for the airbags from a local dealer in late 2020. The dealer who sent the notice was not the dealer i purchased from originally and was over 40 miles away . When i tried to set up an appointment with the original dealer they had no record of a recall for my vin # , Nor does this site ! My truck is a 2007 that i originally leased in June of 2006 and bought out the lease when it was up. I believe what has happened is at that time my model was a body style they only made a short run of and within a few months came out with a new body style for 2007 , and that myself and others with the early 2007 model got lost in this process . My passenger side Airbag Warning Light is...
In 2021, drove off the road inadvertently at 65mph, traveled about 200 yards across a ditch and thru scrub trees and came to rest when front bumper hit against a tree. NEITHER front air bags inflated.....both front air bags should be in this recall. Both seat belts on...I sustained minor head trauma as did my passenger which could have been prevented with air bag inflation. The truck was totaled and both my passenger and I are lucky to be alive. Once again, NEITHER front air bag inflated.....both front air bags should be in this recall.
Driver air bag deployed while the vehicle was parked on the driveway and it is available for inspection. The air bag deployed while vehicle was parked, this air bag could of deployed on the highway/road at any given moment and would have been a cause of an accident. This problem was reported to Fiesta Chevrolet Edinburg Tx dealer since 5/16 , dealer has not returned the call nor inspected this issue. No warning message displayed before the driver air bag deployed.
On Friday March 31 our 2007 Chevrolet Silverado was sitting in our driveway when the passenger airbags went off without warning…busting the windshield. A few minutes later the passenger door airbag went off. Nobody was driving or around the vehicle at the time so no one was injured thankfully.

Called local dealer on 23 Apr 2021 to get appointment to complete safety recall of Takata airbag defect. Advised by dealer Larry Puckett Chevrolet. 2101 Cobbs Ford Rd. Prattville, Al. 36066 (Phone:334-285-9300 that no parts available. Estimate given was three to four weeks for parts. Followup end of May, Jun, Jul and now August 9. NO PARTS!!!!!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTIBLE! THIS IS NOT TIMELY RESOLUTION OF A POTENTIALLY SERIOUS PROBLEM. PLEASE INTERVENE WITH THIS DEALER TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. Sincerely,

GM RECALL IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET REPAIRED AND WHEN I CALL THE DEALERSHIP THERE JUST PLAIN RUDE
THIS RECALL, # 49152, WAS RECEIVED IN JULY, 2016. I TRIED TO SCHEDULE THE REPAIR WITH A LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT REPAIR PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. I CONTINUED TO CHECK EVERY FEW MONTHS AND ALWAYS RECEIVED THE SAME ANSWER. IN MARCH, 2021 I RECEIVED A NOTICE THAT PARTS WERE NOW AVAILABLE AND I COULD SCHEDULE THE REPAIR, WHICH I DID. WHEN I SCHEDULED THE REPAIR THE DEALER SAID THEY WOULD HAVE TO ORDER THE PART AND WOULD CALL WHEN IT ARRIVED. THE PART ARRIVED AND THE REPAIR WAS SCHEDULED FOR 4/22/21 AND I WENT TO THE SERVICE BAY AT THE APPOINTMENT TIME. THE SERVICE CLERK SAID THE REPAIR WOULD TAKE ABOUT 2 HOURS AND I COULD EXPECT TO PAY ABOUT $800.00. MY 20007 SILVERADO CLASSIC 1500 HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE AIRBAG MODULE . ITS A KNOWN PROBLEM FOR GM STEMING FROM A RECALL 09184C . MATERIAL OVER SENSING AND DIAGNOSTIC MODULE RETAINING MOISTURE . THIS RECALL STATES THAT MOISTURE WILL ENTER THE VEHICLES PADDING AND WICK ITS WAY TO THE AIR BAG MODULE LOCATED UNDER THE DRIVER SEAT .THUS CAUSING CORROSION AND FAILURE OF THE MODULE AKA SDM . THERE ORIGINALLY HAS BEEN ONE OUT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. BUT NOW I JUST HEARD THAT AIR BAGS ON 2007 THRU 2014 ARE INCLUDED IN A RECALL. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF MY TRUCK IS INCLUDED IN A RECALL OR NOT.

NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. THEY HAVE WARNED ME THAT DRIVING IT WAS DANGEROUS AND I SHOULD PARK IT UNTIL FIXED. I BOUGHT IT TO DRIVE AND CAN NOT PARK IT BUT WORRY THAT IT IS REALLY NOT SAFE. I WOULD HAVE HAD IT PARKED FOR YEARS AT THIS POINT AND THEY OFFER NO LOANER TILL PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. NOW I SEE THERE ARE THOUSANDS MORE RECALLED. WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO IF NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR ALL THESE YEARS?
TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL THAT HAS NOT BEEN SOLVED FOR FAR TOO LONG.
THERE'S BEEN A RECALL ON MY AIRBAGS SINCE 2016 AND STILL HAVE YET TO BE FIXED. DEALER SAYS THEY DON'T HAVE PARTS FOR IT. I HAVE A WIFE AND THREE KIDS TO LOOK OUT FOR. WHAT WILL BE DONE TO FIX THIS ISSUE?
DRIVERS AIRBAG NOT WORKING. THIS IS PART OF NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ON THIS SUBJECT ON THIS SAME PART
I HAVE A MESSAGE SINCE LAST YEAR ABOUT SAFETY ON CHECK AIR BAG SAFETY . I TOOK MY PICK UP TRUCK TO THE CHEVROLET AND THEY TOLD ME TO WAY BECAUSE IT WAS A RECALL PENDING AND THEY WILL SEND ME A NOTE. I READ THAT THE TAKATA CORPORATION NOT BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A SAFETY RISK. I CONTINUE WAITING FOR ANY NEWS ABOUT THE RECALL. I'M REALLY WORRY ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND ALL THE RISK IS THIS BAG EXPLOTE.
