Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving he noticed that the air bag module seal was loose. The contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed with the air bag module needing to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact had the vehicle serviced under NHTSA campaign number: 21V050000 (Air Bags) however, the failure occurred. The contact was relating the failure to an unknown recall. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
