Dash cover crumbled and falling apart. Even though I have kept it cool and covered with a condition. It's falling down into my car fan for heating and cooling
The engine electric brakes all shut down steering wheel locked up and my daughter smashed into telephone pole on August 31 2023. Airbags didn't deploy for front and side airbags were deflated no air.no warning lights prior that I'm aware of. My daughter was injured PCS and cervical sprain

On these cars the blend doors open when your driving and fogs windows to were you can't see mostly in the winter or colder temperatures. They start to click because of the bad design of them and sometimes the clicking goes away and sometimes it doesnt and the safety risk is when the doors malfunction it fogs windows and you can't see. Car was taking to auto shop and they confirm that's the problem and the parts for the car are under $100 but over $1200 for labor

WHILE WIFE WAS DRIVING AT NORMAL SPEED CAR WENT INTO LIMP MODE MANY TIMES OVER LAST FEW MONTHS CAUSING ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR CODES.WE HAVE SINCE CHANGED THIS PEDAL SENSOR 6 TIMES AND SAME ISSUE AND CODES POP UP. WE ALSO CHANGED THROTTLE BODY W SENSOR AND CONNECTOR PIGTAIL.I THINK THERE IS CORROSION IN ECM AND ALL THESE ITEMS HAVE FAILED. THESE ITEMS SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED AS MANUFACTURER DEFECTS IN MY OPINION.WE ARE STILL HAVING PROBLEMS SAME CODES AND IM NOT THE ONLY ONE!

ABS OR AIRBAG FAILURE DASH LIGHT CAME ON AND READ THAT THIS IS A RECALL ISSUE THAT NEEDS FACTORY SERVICE TO AVOID BODILY INJURIES OR DEATH. TRANSMISSION ISSUES CAUSING ERRATICALLY SHIFTING WHILE DRIVING OR TAKING OFF FROM A STOP
2008 CHEV IMPALA TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT AND THEN ENGINE LIGHT COME ON. ACCELERATION AND FUEL MILEAGE DROP SIGNIFICANTLY. REOCCURS EVERY SO OFTEN WHILE DRIVING WHICH AFFECTS ABILITY TO MAINTAIN GOOD CONTROL.
DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS WHEN THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURES ARE HIGH MY BACKDOOR LOCKS WILL NOT UNLOCK. THE INSIDE LEVERS THAT PULL UP TO UNLOCK FROM INSIDE ARE LOCATED AT THE FARTHEST PLACE AWAY SO I CAN'T REACH THEM FROM THE FRONT DOORS TO UNLOCK THEM THAT WAY. A SMALL CHILD IN A CAR SEAT, SOMEONE UNCONSCIOUS OR A PET COULD EASILY BECOME TRAPPED INSIDE THIS VEHICLE. THIS HAPPENS IF THE CAR IS RUNNING OR NOT.

BACK DOOR LOCKS WILL NOT OPEN FROM OUTSIDE OF VEHICLE WITH KEY FOB OR WITH INSIDE POWER LOCKS, (NO OUTSIDE KEY ENTRY LOCKS IN BACK DOORS) THEY REMAIN LOCKED AT ALL TIMES AND MY GRANDCHILD MUST CLIMB OVER FRONT SEAT TO GET IN THE BACK OF VEHICLE AND VICE A VERSA TO GET OUT. A MECHANIC HAD TO REPLACE THE IGNITION LOCK SOLENOID. THE KEY GOT STUCK IN THE IGNITION AND IT COULD NOT BE REMOVED UNTIL IT WAS REPAIRED. I AM REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT FROM MY REPAIR. THERE WAS A RECALL ISSUED ON JUNE 20, 2014 FOR AN UNINTENDED IGNITION KEY ROTATION APPARENTLY THIS WAS THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM I HAD IN 2013 THEREFORE I WOULD LIKE REIMBURSEMENT

THE REDUCED ENGINE POWER CAME UP ON THE DASHBOARD CAR STARTED TO NOT START OR SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I TOOK THE CAR TO BERGLUND CHEVROLET IN ROANOKE VA. THEY CHARGED ME FOR PUTTING ANOTHER ONE ON BUT I HAVE BEEN HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. ALL OF THIS STARTED IN JANUARY. BERGLUND WAS TELLING ME THAT IT WAS MY BATTERY THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE BATTERY. THEY ALSO DID A TUNE UP ON THE CAR BUT ONLY CHANGED THE SPARK PLUGS THEY TOLD ME THAT WIRES WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A TUNE UP JUST THE SPARK PLUGS.

BOTH REAR PASSENGER DOOR LOCKS STOP WORKING PRIOR TO 60,000 MILES. THEY WOULD WORK RANDOMLY AND EVENTUALLY STOPPED WORKING ALL TOGETHER. AFTER RESEARCHING THE ISSUE THERE ARE SEVERAL HUNDRED COMPLAINTS ON WEBSITES AND IT APPEARS TO BE THAT THEY USED A LUBRICANT THAT BECOMES TOO SOLIDIFIED. IF I WERE IN AN ACCIDENT I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO UNLOCK THE REAR DOORS USING THE KEY FOB OR THE POWER UNLOCK. IT HAS TO BE DONE MANUALLY AND THEY ARE VERY DIFFICULT TO REACH FROM THE FRONT SEATS.

VEHICLE STUCK IN PARK UNABLE TO SHIFT FROM THE PARKED POSITION. PARKED IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE WENT TO GO PICK DAUGHTER UP FROM SCHOOL AND COULDN'T SHIFT GEARS.
WAS ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK AND THE TRANSMISSION STARTED SLIPPING OUT OF GEARS. CAME TO A STOP AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN I COULD NOT GO TOWARD. ENGINE JUST REVVED. APPARENTLY THIS IS A SENSOR ISSUE THAT IS COMMON TO THE CHEVROLET MODELS AND ESPECIALLY THE IMPALA JUDGING BY THE FORUMS. THIS IS DANGEROUS AS WHEN THE CAR TURNS ITSELF OFF THE POWER STEERING , LIGHTS, EVERYTHING GOES AND IT IS SUDDEN. THE THIRD TIME IT HAPPENED THE ERROR MESSAGE CAME ON AND 3 SECONDS LATER THE CAR TURNED OFF.
IVE OWNED 2 IMPALAS AND MY SISTER IN LAW OWNS ONE ALSO. ALL 3 HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS NEEDING REPLACING. DOORS NEED TO BE OPENED MANUALLY FROM INSIDE OR OUT. IT COST APPROX. $500.00 TO REPLACE IF NOT UNDER WARRANTY.

I HAVE MY FIRST CHILD ON THE WAY IN NOVEMBER, AND NOW I HAVE TO WORRY IF I WILL HAVE TO SET MY BABY ON THE GROUND DURING WINTER TO CLIMB THROUGH THE CAR TO UNLOCK THE BACK DOOR MANUALLY.

THIS CAR HAD TO BE TOWED ON ABOVE DATE DUE TO INABILITY TO SHIFT OUT OF "PARK". THE MECHANIC REMOVED THE CENTER CONSOLE AND REPAIRED A BROKEN GROUND WIRE TO THE INTER-SHIFT LOCK. I HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET $383 FOR A BROKEN WIRE NO BIGGER THAN A STRAND OF HAIR. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT THIS WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN OR POSSIBLY NEXT TIME IT WILL BE THE KEY IGNITION WIRE THAT WILL BREAK WHICH IS FOUND IN THE SAME SOLENOID. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A FLAW IN GM MANUFACTURING OF THIS TYPE OF VEHICLE. I HAVE REVIEWED HUNDREDS OF OTHER GM COMPLAINTS OF THIS SAME NATURE. I HAVE A 2008 CHEVY IMPALA LT WITH 33,619 MILES ON IT. IT HAS THE GOODYEAR EAGLE LS2 TIRES IT CAME WITH WHEN I BOUGHT IT NEW IN 2008. I RECENTLY HAD A REAR LEAKY TIRE SO I TOOK IT TO A GARAGE AND THEY REPAIRED IT. WHILE IT WAS OFF THE RIM I NOTICED WHAT LOOKED TO ME TO BE VERY EXCESSIVE WEAR TO THE INSIDE SIDEWALL OF THE TIRE. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOP, THE VEHICLE HESITATED BEFORE JERKING INTO GEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE AFTER DRIVING IT OVER 140 MILES. AFTER LICKING UP THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE CONTINUES TO INTERMITTENTLY HESITATE WHILE ACCELERATING AND WOULD JERK IN VARIOUS GEARS. THE FIRST FAILURE MILEAGE WAS AROUND 60000 AND THE CURRURT MILEAGE IS 88000. ALSO SOMETIMES WOULD JERK FROM 1ST GEAR TO SECOND GEAR. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN TO AGAIN CHECK OUT MY PROBLEM. THE CAR IS STILL IN THE WARRANTY PERIOD. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS PROBLEM ONLINE THAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE POSTED, IT ALL SEEMS TO POINT TO A PRESSURE SOLENOID IN THE TRANSMISSION BUT THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT REPLACE THE PART UNLESS THEY CAN DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM.
