Vvt valve has failed twice now despite timely oil changes. This is a safety risk because vehicle will stall at low speeds like when starting at an intersection from a stopped position
Engine light comes on i get it checked out every time is the same issue saying it's "mass air flow" it's now the 4th time i switch the piece and the car keeps on leaving me stranded now it's lead to a computer problem various mechanics have told me this particular model of year has allot of issues with this I'm not sure why there hasn't been a recall yet
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while driving 10 MPH, the vehicle lost automotive power. The contact stated that the TPMS warning light was illuminated. The contact pulled over and added transmission fluid and was able to continue driving the vehicle to the residence. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was advised that the VIN was not included in a recall related to the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 112,000.
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, the vehicle jerked and made an abnormally loud sound. The vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal, and the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to coast to the side of the road. The contact stated that the check engine and stabili-trak warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to the residence, and then was towed to the dealer. The vehicle was diagnosed and determined that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The repair was pending. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact that the VIN was included in Nissan Manufacturer Recall Number: PC490. The contact was advised that a manager would reach out. However, the contact was awaiting a call from the manager. The contact was advised...
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle jerked and made an abnormally loud sound. The check engine warning light intermittently illuminated. The vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, the key fob failed to function as intended. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but denied assistance in covering the cost of the repair. The vehicle remained at the residence and had not been driven since the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
I purchased my 2015 Nissan Altima in July, 2022 with 56,530 miles on it. At this date it has approximately 71,500 miles on it. I have driven it 14,970 miles in 2.5 years. On [XXX] I was driving home from Thanksgiving in East Brunswick, NJ to my home in South Philadelphia on [XXX] in New Jersey when my car suddenly began to have a slow down in ability to accelerate. I ended up pulling over after a moment of slowing down and not knowing what was happening. When I got to the break down lane, the car stalled. I ended up getting road side assistance to tow me to Ward's Automotive in Mt. Laurel, NJ, where my family and I have brought cars for many years (we used to live in Moorestown, NJ. Ward's ended up telling me the following Monday that my engine was "bad." I have no idea...
While driving down the interstate at 70 miles per hour, going up an incline, the car lost ALL power & then jerked kicking back into gear. Once off the interstate attempting to get to a safe place, it completely shut off without warning! No check engine lights or any warning lights. Just randomly shuts off. After replacing what was assumed as the mass flow air sensor ($186.00) & the crankshaft sensor ($80) it continues to have issues. The battery (new battery $220) was also replaced & the alternator checked due to randomly shutting off-which checked out to be fine. Come to find out it’s the CVT judder. After reading all the complaints, I’m confused as to why there isn’t a recall or extended warranty on the transmission. My car only has 119k miles! We should not be having issues with these transmission.
See attached document for complaint
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving approximately 25–35 mph. The contact stated that the engine and battery warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was shuddering. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who informed her that the alternator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced and that there was no warranty coverage. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 94,000.
Vehicle has a current defected transmission that Nissan is aware off and fixed vehicles within a certain warranty period. Customers should have received letter making them aware of the defected transmission, I explained to Nissan I never received a letter. I am assuming this happened because I purchased the vehicle used, the person I spoke to from Nissan said unfortunately this happens. Nissan should be required to fix the vehicle as they failed to notify me of the defected transmission.
Please see this other report I filled out: 11526603. Thus far have paid about $1100 to get new, steering fluid, repair brakes, get a new battery, transmission fluid, and fuel injection service. They said this would fix the problem. The problem was not fixed. I took the car back again and they kept it several hours. Their higher level mechanic still couldn’t figure out a problem. Now, the car has a new weird noise. When I drove it this morning, it sounded like there was a motorcycle driving nearby, yet I couldn’t see one. Then I figured out, it was my own engine, making some extra noise. I’m going to try to get into a different mechanic tomorrow. God help me. So now two problems: steering and engine. I hope the car will make it to the mechanic.
Exhaust manifold leak
My 2015 Nissan Altima, I've had it (7 years), started stopping without warning. Last week, I've had the valve cover replaced, because it was oil coming through one of the chambers of my spark plugs, I got a new battery, & I got the oil changed to make sure that everything was flowing correctly and running clean. Then it happened again. I put my car in park, I turned it off, and started again. There were no warning lights or codes that came across the dashboard. It was more frustrating because there's no warning no preparation it just does it so I did a system diagnostic ( Hitting the push to start button 5 times then hitting the door Button on the inside of the door jam 10 times then hitting the push to start button 3 times and the car will test all of the systems). My car was...
At less than 68,000 miles, the timing chain started to fail. There were oil leaks reported over 6,000 miles before but dealer said it was due to the oil change, but we now know it was the valve cover gasket. Losing power due to engine failure would be unsafe given power steering gone etc...
I'm having the same problem with this Nissan Altima 2015 that I had with my Nissan Altima 2010 where it was a recall on the CVT. There are times when I'm pressing the gas, and the car will not and I have to pull over, turn the car off, and turn it back on. When I'm at a stoplight, and I press the gas it will not accelerate with my foot all the way down on the gas. The car will then jerk, and take off really fast. There have been several times when I have almost had accidents.
For the last few days my car has been hesitant to accelerate. At low speed acceleration it jerks a few times then the rpms go way high and is slow to shift & accelerate. It is automatic. This problem has been gradually increasing over past 2 years. I did take it to a dealership when the hood latch was replaced due to recall this year and they just suggested I drain/replace the transmission fluid in hopes that it fixes the acceleration issues. They already knew when I went into the dealership that it wasn't in warranty anymore and because I couldn't afford to fully fix the problem they just brushed me off. This isn't a safe car anymore to drive. I have 2 children and this is our primary vehicle. I just know whatever this issue with the transmission and power train stuff is not safe and it's only a...
My transmission has went on my car. I’ve only had my car for 3 years. The car isn’t that old..while driving on the highway my car stopped and would not shift gears.I took my car to Nissan they claimed to fix the problem but my car stopped on me once Again while driving. The dealership fixed sensors in the engine. After the problem was not fixed the said it was my transmission. This is a safety issue and could have caused a accident. Other Nissan drivers are having this same issues..this is happening to multiple Nissans around the country. There should be a recall opened on the transmissions. Why should we the customers hav to pay for faulty transmissions.
On my 3rd transmission since March 2021 1st one was April 2nd one was June Then car was in shop for over 2 months drive it for 1 week 3 transmission was put in November so yeah this car is bad also corp wont help not even anything after a manager called me a crazy [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
Twice now when I have gone to pull out my car has died on me with no warning. The first time was in Aug,2021 the next was in Sep or Oct 202. I have also noticed that when I'm driving and not accelerating (like going down a hill) then start accelerating the car will sputter like if it's not getting gas. It is really scary when it has died on me pulling out I've almost got hit by other vehicles.
I was in turning lane and when traffic cleared enough to turn I pushed gas, and nothing happened it was just idle, no rpm, no movement let go of gas pushed again barely moved and then didn’t go anywhere. Oncoming traffic at that point was approaching then it engaged and was fine! It did it two more times as I was sitting at light and once while just driving
WHEN I TURN MY CAR ON AND THE WHOLE TIME IT IS RUNNING THERE IS A NOISE UNDER THE HOOD SOUNDING. YOU CAN NOT HEAR IT FROM INSIDE BUT WHEN YOU ARE OUTSIDE YOU CAN MOST DEFINITELY HEAR IT AND TELL THE CAR IS ON DUE TO THE NOISE.I THOUGHT IT MAY BE A FAN NOISE DUE TO MAYBE LEAVING THE AC ON BUT EVEN WITH IT OFF AND JUST TURNING ON THE CAR YOU CAN HEAR IT. THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT TO MY KNOWLEDGE OR ANY FENDER BENDERS AT THAT. ALSO SOMETIMES AFTER SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT OR STOP SIGN AND IT'S MY TURN TO GO I PUT MY FOOT ON THE GAS (NOT HARD) AND IT GOES UP TO LIKE 3/4 RPMS AND IT TAKES A FEW SECONDS TO DROP DOWN TO REGULAR RPM WHILE DRIVING
WELL I BOUGHT MY 2015 ALTIMA A YEAR AGO AND NOW IT TRIES TO OVER HEATED, THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE BOUNCES BACK AND FORTH, AND WHEN I PUT IT IN REVERSE IT WILL MOVE BUT AFTER I THROW IT IN DRIVE I LOSE ALL POWER WITH ACCELERATION THE CAR ON JUST NO REV OR ANYTHING
CAR RANDOMLY STALLS AND STUTTERS. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT APPEARS. CAN CLEAR CODE BUT THE PROBLEM ALWAYS COMES BACK. HAPPENS ABOUT ONCE A MONTH, SOMETIMES DAYS IN A ROW.
HIT BACK OF CAR AT RED LIGHT. AIRBAG NEVER DEPLOYED. *TR
DRIVING AT 45 MPH AND THE TRANS WENT OUT. ONLY 81K MILES ON THE CAR
CAR COMPLETELY POWERED OFF WHILE TRAVELING TRAVELING AT 10MPH. THE ENGINE AND BATTERY SYMBOL APPEARED, CAR WAS ABLE TO COME TO A ROLLING STOP. PLACED IN PARK AND WAS ABLE TO RESTART WITH NO ISSUES. TEN MINUTES LATER, CAR IS TRAVELING 60MPH AND CAR POWERED OFF, CONSOLE TURNED BLACK, CAR POWERED ON, POWERED OFF AND THEN POWERED ON WHILE MAINTAINING SAME SPEED. THIRD TIME OCCURRED 5MIN LATER AS I WAS TRYING TO SAFELY PULL OVER. WAS TRAVELING UNDER 20MPH AND CAR POWERED OFF , LOCKING BREAKS AND COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP WHILE LOCKING STEERING WHEEL.
I HAVE NOTICED THAT WHEN PRESSING DOWN ON THE THE ACCELERATION PEDAL THERE IS SOMETIMES AN EXTENDED DELAY AND THE CAR DOES NOT MOVE. IT DOES NOT HAPPEN ALWAYS, BUT I HAVE READ THAT ALOT PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES, AND NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW THE CAUSE. PERSONALLY, AFTER PUTTING THE CAR IN PARK, TURNING OFF AND TURNING ON THE CAR SEEMS TO ALLOW IT TO ACCELERATE AGAIN. MY SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE WITH THIS HAPPENED TWICE IN A TWO WEEK SPAN. I WAS STOPPED AT A LIGHT WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL PRESSED DOWN ON A REGULAR TWO WAY ROADWAY. AS THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE BY PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE, AND THE RPMS WOULD JUST GO UP. THIS SAME EXPERIENCE HAPPENED ANOTHER TIME AS WELL. PLEASE LOOK INTO IT AS A POSSIBLE RECALL FOR SOME PROGRAMMING ON THIS CVT TRANSMISSION,...
I WAS DRIVING MY DAUGHTER HOME FROM PRE-K AND HAD BEEN IN THE CAR FOR 10 MILES WITHOUT A PROBLEM. I WAS STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT AT A VERY BUSY FOUR -WAY INTERSECTION. THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. I PUSHED THE ACCELERATOR AND THE CAR DIDN'T MOVE. I WAS SHOCKED. IT WAS PERFECTLY FINE ONE MINUTE AND DID NOT MOVE THE NEXT MINUTE. THE CAR ACTED AS IF IT WERE IN NEUTRAL AND IT WOULDN'T GO. AFTER PRESSING A FEW TIMES, THE CAR STARTED TO GO VERY SLOWLY. I TOOK SOME BACK ROADS STOPPING AT DIFFERENT PARKING LOTS HOPING TO MAKE IT HOME. I HAD MY CAR TOWED TO THE MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC SAID THAT AT 59,700 MILES, MY 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA'S CVT TRANSMISSION IS NON-FUNCTIONAL & THE DIAGNOSTIC CODE IS STARTING TO SHOW UPL. I OWE MONEY ON THE LOAN AND NOW I...
THE VEHICLE CAN BE SITTING STILL AND WHEN YOU PRESS THE GAS PEDAL, NOTHING HAPPENS. THE ENGINE DOES NOT EVEN REV UP. IT IS AS THE ENGINE IS NOT EVEN ON. THIS ALSO HAPPENS WHEN VEHICLE IS IS MOTION AND YOU PRESS THE GAS PEDAL, NOTHING HAPPENS. THIS HAPPENS WHEN VEHICLE IS STILL, LOW SPEED OR HIGH SPEED. AND DIAGNOSTICS SYSTEM CHECK DOES NOT SHOW THE PROBLEM AND THE ENGINE LIGHT DOES NOT COME ON OR GET ANY KIND OF READING. IT HAPPENS FREQUENTLY. HAVE TO EXTREME CAUTION WHEN GETTING ON THE FREEWAY AND/OR CHANGING LANES IN TRAFFIC.
THE CAR FAILS TO ACCELERATE WHEN I STEP ON THE GAS PEDAL. SOMETIMES IT WILL HAVE DELAYED ACCELERATION OR NONE AT ALL. THE ENGINE WILL REV BUT NO MOTION. I ALSO TOOK THE CAR FOR A SMOG CHECK IN ATTEMPT TO CHANGE OWNERSHIP AND IT DIDN'T PASS SMOG A CODE P0776 CAME UP. TOOK IT TO AN AUTO REPAIR SHOP AND THEY STATED IT WAS A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. NOW I'M STUCK WITH THIS DANGEROUS DEATH TRAP. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS WHILE TURNING AND WHILE ON THE FREEWAY. IT HAPPENS PERIODICALLY WITH NO WARNING.
THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY AND / OR IN MOTION. AND NO ENGINE OR ANYTHING CON=MES TO TELL YOU WHAT IS WRONG. MECHANICS CAN NOTFIX IT, BECAUSE NOTHING SHOWS ON THE DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE. SOMETIME WHEN PRESS THE GAS PEDAL, THE ENGINE DOES NOTHING. AS IF THE ENGINE IS NOT EVEN ON. AFTER REPEATEDLY PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL THE ENGINE WILL FINALLY RESPOND AS IT SHOULD. IT HAPPENS FREQUENTLY.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THIS MORNING AND STOPPED AT THE LIGHT TO MAKE THE LEFT TURN (ABOUT 5 MINUTES INTO MY DRIVE). ONCE THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I STEPPED ON THE GAS BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. I HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON. PUSHING ON THE GAS, THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE TO THE MORE THAN 40 MPH. I TURNED THE CAR AROUND TO GO HOME (ABOUT 1 MILE AWAY) AS I DIDN'T FEEL IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE AND HAD TO STOP AT A RED LIGHT TO MAKE THE RIGHT TURN. ONCE STOPPED, THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. IT WAS STILL ON AND NO WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED ON THE DASHBOARD. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AND WAS ABLE TO SLOWLY ACCELERATE, AGAIN NO MORE THAN 40 MPH. THIS WAS SCARY AND DANGEROUS. THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED...
INTERMITTENT PROBLEM THE DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE SINCE 25K MILES. THE CAR REVS AND LOSES SPEED. SOMETIMES I PRESS THE GAS PEDAL AND IT WILL NOT GO FOR 2-5 SECOMDS. RECENTLY GOING UP A HILL THE CAR ROLLED BACKWARDS WHILE I WAS PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL. TURNING THE CAR OFF CAN "CURE" THE SYMPTOM UNTIL IT RANDOMLY HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. IT IS DIFFICULT DRIVING IN TRAFFIC, OR DECIDING TO MAKE LEFT TURNS BECAUSE I CAN NOT DEPEND ON ACCELERATION
EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE NO MATTER HOW FAR PUT MY FOOT DOWN ON THE PEDAL IT WILL NOT ACCELERATE. THIS IS EXTREAMLY DANGEROUS AS IT HAS HAPPENED WHEN CROSSING INTERSECTION IN VERY BUSY TRAFFIC SITUATIONS. I WOULD SAY I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEEN HIT AT LEAST 5 TIMES IN THIS SITUATION, BUT THE DRIVERS COMING THE OTHER WAY SAW I WAS HAVING. A PROBLEM AND SLOWED DOWN SO THEY WOULD NOT HIT ME.
MY 2015 ALTIMA IS EXPERIENCING A SPORADIC DELAY WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP. IT WON'T REV OR DO ANYTHING FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS NO MATTER HOW FAR DOWN THE PEDAL IS. THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT'LL GO. THERE IS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. I TOOK IT TO PEP BOYS STORE TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. THE TECH STAFF EXPERIENCE THE SAME ISSUE I WAS WHEN HE DROVE MY CAR. HE PLACE THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL INTO MY CAR AND CAME UP WITH A CODE THAT STATED SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH MY TRANSMISSION(P0776 CODE). BECAUSE THE STORE DON NOT DEAL WITH TRANSMISSION, I TOOK IT TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND TOLD THEM THE ISSUE. AFTER RUNNING TEST THEY DID NOT FIND ANY ISSUE WITH TRANSMISSION OR NO CODE WHEN THEY INSERTED THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL INTO MY CAR. THEY STATED THEY IS MUST HAVE BEEN CLEAR. WHAT I DONT...
THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT WITH LESS THAN 75000 MILES MOTOR MOUNTS BAD AND AIR BAGS DOES NOT WORK. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON CITY STREET
MY NISSAN ALTIMA WILL RANDOMLY HAVE DELAYED ACCELERATION NO MATTER HOW HARD I PUSH ON THE GAS PEDAL. AT RED LIGHTS SOMETIMES MY CAR WILL NOT MOVE FOR A FEW SECONDS. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES.
MY CAR KEPT CUTTING OFF WHEN I AM DRIVING. IT GIVES NO WARNING ON WHEN IT GOING TO TURN OFF. VERY DANGEROUS CAN GET A PERSON KILL WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY.
TAKATA RECALL.... WHEN VEHICLE IS IN TRAFFIC ON HIGHWAY AT A STAND STILL AND YOU FINALLY GET TO MOVE THE VEHICLE WON'T CHANGE GEARS. THE RPM WILL GO AS HIGH AS 8 BUT THE MILEAGE WILL NOT GO UP, IT WILL STAY AT THAT LOWER LEVEL SPEED.
DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AT 75MPH AND THE CAR STARTS JERKING AND I WAS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE I BELIEVED THE CAR WOULD STOP. I MANAGED TO TO GET OUT OF THE FREEWAY WITH THE SPEED COMING DOWN AND THEN MY CAR GAVE OUT . IT IS A SAFETY CONCERN. SOMETIMES I AM AT A REDLIGHT AND MY CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE. I HAVE 70,000 MILES ON MY CAR.
AFTER DRIVING IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES. SOMETIMES THE GAS PEDAL DOESN'T RESPOND PROPERLY IT STALLS AND GOES SLOW BUILDING UP SPEED DOESN'T RESPOND LIKES IT SHOULD. TAKES A FEW SECONDS TO REACH PROPER RESPONSE
I KEEP READING THE SAME EXACT STORY AS MINE, YET NO RECALLS OR HELP FOR THIS PROBLEM ON SO MANY NISSAN ALTIMAS. SITTING STILL AT A REDLIGHT, LIGHT TURNS GREEN, YOUR FOOT IS ON ACCELERATOR BUT NOTHING HAPPENS FOR FIVE TO TEN SECONDS. FINALLY THE ENGINE BEGINS TO REV. EXTREMELY SCARY WHEN TURNING IN FRONT OF TRAFFIC. CAN ALSO HAPPEN WHEN GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE TACHOMETER RACES, ENGINE RACES, AND WONT COME DOWN UNTIL YOU PULL OVER AND TURN THE CAR OFF AND IMMEDIATELY TURN IT BACK ON. THIS RESETS SOMETHING AND EVERYTHING IS OKAY THEN. TURNING IT BACK ON RESETS THE PROBLEM SO IT'S OBVIOUSLY A SIMPLE ISSUE BUT IT IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM. MY WHOLE FAMILY HAS COME CLOSE ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS OF BEING IN A SERIOUS WRECK DUE TO THIS PERSISTENT PROBLEM. I'M SHOCKED THAT NISSAN HASN'T HAD A RECALL...
CAR WILL SUDDENLY LOSE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE DURING HOT OR COLD WEATHER. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE CAR WILL HESITATE TO MOVE FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS THEN WILL SUDDENLY BEGIN TO ACCELERATE AT A VERY LOW SPEED. IF I PULL OVER AND TURN THE CAR OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES, IT BEHAVES NORMALLY AGAIN. I HAVE ALMOST BEEN INVOLVED IN SEVERAL ACCIDENTS THIS WINTER AND SUMMER WHEN THIS HAS HAPPENED IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. PLEASE HELP.
THE CAR STARTED VIBRATING AS IF IT'S GOING TO SHIFT DOWN, THE ENGINE LIGHT CAM ON. TOOK THE CAR TO ADVANCE AUTO , WAS TOLD THAT THE SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED LACED. TOOK THE CAR TO A NISSAN DEALER HAD THE SENSOR REPLACED, DROVE THE CAR FOR TWO DAYS. DRIVING TO WORK THE NEXT DAY HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE THIS TIME THE CAR JUST STOPPED. TOOK IT BACK TO THE NISSAN DEALER WAS TOLD THAT THE OTHER SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I'M AFRAID THAT I MIGHT BE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AND MAY ENCOUNTER THE SAME PROBLEM I HOPE TO GOD NOT, BUT AT THIS POINT I'M A BIT WORRIED. HAD THE CAR FOR 4 MONTHS NOW. *TR
NISSAN SEEMS TO HAVE DEFECTIVE AC COMPONENTS IN THEIR 2015 ALTIMA VEHICLES. THE BELOW LINK SHOWS ADDITIONAL INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE EXPERIENCED THE EXACT SAME ISSUE WITH THEIR 2015 ALTIMA. THE COMPRESSOR DOES NOT ALWAYS ENGAGE, WHICH CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO BLOW OUT HOT AIR. HOWEVER, IN SOME CASES THE COMPRESSOR CLUTCH WILL ENGAGE AND BLOW OUT COOL AIR, BUT IT IS VERY INCONSISTENT. I WAS DRIVING AROUND A LITTLE WHILE AND WHEN I CAME TO A STOP AT A STOP LIGHT I PUSHED MY GAS PEDAL TO ACCELERATE FORWARD AND MY CAR DID NOT MOVE, AS I PUSHED MY GAS PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR MY CAR WOULD VERY LIGHTLY MOVE. FINALLY AFTER MOVING BARELY FORWARD MY CAR WOULD GO , I HAD CARS ALMOST HIT ME AND PEOPLE GETTING ENRAGED I AM NOT MOVING, THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM NOW, IT HAPPENS OFTEN AND SOMETIMES CAUSING A VERY SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS SITUATION. AFTER DOING MY RESEARCH MANY OF OWNERS OF THIS YEAR MAKE AND MODEL ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE BUT YET NOTHING TO COME OUT FROM NISSAN FOR RECALL. I READ IF YOU TURN YOUR CAR OFF AND BACK ON IT WILL RESET AND THEN THE CAR GOES JUST FINE TILL THE NEXT TIME AND THAT DOES WORK BUT...
CODE P0101 OEM SPECIFIC DTC CODE. CATEGORY ENGINE PERFORMANCE - THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR IS PART OF THE ENGINE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM. WHEN DRIVING THE ENGINE FEELS LIKE IT STRUGGLING TO ACCELERATE.
WHEN TEMPERATURES ARE 15 DEGREES, OR LOWER THE ENGINE MAKES A LOUD RUMBLING AND KNOCKING NOISE WHEN STARTED UP. THE COLDER IT IS THE LOUDER AND LONGER IT LAST. GENERALLY IT TAKES 5-10+ MINUTES BEFORE IT QUIETS DOWN. SECOND ISSUE IS; REGARDLESS OF TEMPERATURE, WHEN ACCELERATING ON A GRADE IT ALSO MAKES A RUMBLING NOISE. THE CAR HAS 57,000 ON IT AND IS VERY GOOD CONDITION OTHERWISE
I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY BRAKES, THEY SQIUK ALL THE TIME. THE ENGINE LIGHT COME ON AND I WAS TOLD THAT I HAD TO REPLACE THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSER MY CAR IS ONLY A 2015. THIS IS NOT RIGHT.
TAKATA RECALL. WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH ON THE FREEWAY, THE VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN SIGNIFICANTLY TO ABOUT 30 MPH AND I COULD NOT ACCELERATE. SOON AFTER THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK MY CAR TO AUTOZONE AND DID A SYSTEM CHECK, I RECEIVED THE ERROR CODE P2101 DETECTING THE THROTTLE ACTUATOR CONTROL TO BE AN ISSUE. THE NEXT DAY, WHEN MY CAR WAS IN PARK MY RPMS WERE UP TO 2,000. WHEN BEGINNING TO DRIVE, I WOULD RELEASE THE BRAKE AND WITHOUT HITTING THE GAS I WOULD GO UPWARDS OF 25 MPH. THE AMOUNT OF TIME THAT I DRIVE THE VEHICLE DOES NOT MATTER AND THERE IS NO IN BETWEEN, THE CAR IS EITHER REARING TO GO OR WANTS TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP.
