HAS HAPPENED 6 TIMES THIS PAST MONTH FORD TOLD ME A WHEEL SPEED SENSOR WAS AT FAULT THAT HAS BEEN FIXED WITH NO IMPROVEMENT OF CAR BASICALLY SHUTTING DOWN ..LIMP MODE FOR SAFETY ??? FORD ! YOU DRIVE THIS CAR 70MPH ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN LIMP MODE IGAGES PRETTY SCARY !! YOUR GOING TO KILL PEOPLE !
WHILE DRIVING ON A STRAIGHT FLAT HIGHWAY AT 55 MPH THE THROTTLE SUDDENLY REVVED UP AND REMAINED REVVED UP AS I REMOVED FOOT FROM GAS PEDAL VISUALLY CHECKED THAT IT WAS IN DRIVE AND THAT THE CRUISE CONTROL WASN'T ON, AND IT WAS IN DRIVE AND CRUISE WAS T TURNED ON. I TAPPED THE GAS PEDAL, THEN TAPPED 3 QUICK TIMES, TAPPED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND ABOUT 2-3 SECONDS AFTER I TAPPED THE BRAKE PEDAL IT QUIT REVVING UP AND IT WENT BACK TO NORMAL, DECELERATED BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE MY FOOT ON EITHER PEDAL. I CONTINUED TO DRIVE IT AND HAVEN'T HAD ANY OTHER PROBLEMS.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 5 MPH AND ATTEMPTING TO PARK IN A PARKING LOT, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATE INDEPENDENTLY. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A LIGHT POST THEN THE VEHICLE VIOLENTLY WENT BACKWARDS DUE TO THE IMPACT APPROXIMATELY 6 FEET. THE ENGINE AND THE RADIATOR WERE PUNCTURED DUE TO THE IMPACT CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO BE UNDRIVABLE. THE CONTACT WENT TO A DOCTOR WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED SHE SUSTAINED NECK AND MINOR BRUISING. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACTS RESIDENCE. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 182,000.
WHEN DRIVING AT HIGH SPEEDS ON THE FREEWAY THERE IS A JERK IN THE CAR, THE TRIANGLE WARNING LIGHT COMES ON THAT SAYS PULL OVER WHEN SAFE, THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF, AND WE CAN NO LONGER ACCELERATE. WE PULL OVER, TURN OFF THE CAR, AND THEN TURN IT BACK ON. *TR
IT'S BEEN PULLING HARD AND JERKING THE CAR LOT WAS SUPPOSED TO FIX IT AND NEVER HAS I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO AND IT ALWAYS SMELLS LIKE IT'S OVERHEATING
INTERMITTENTLY, WHEN VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, WRENCH LIGHT COMES ON AND VEHICLE BEGINS TO DECELERATE. ONCE VEHICLE IS PULLED OVER TO SAFETY, VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE SHUT OFF. AFTERWARDS, THE VEHICLE MAY BE RESTARTED AND THE WRENCH LIGHT DISAPPEARS AND THE VEHICLE DRIVES NORMALLY FOR A FEW MORE MILES. THEN, THE ISSUE COMES BACK AGAIN. TO GET ANYWHERE FROM A TO B, THE VEHICLE WILL NEED TO BE PULLED OVER TO SAFETY AND SHUT OFF AND RESTARTED EACH TIME THE WRENCH LIGHT COMES ON AND THE VEHICLE BEGINS TO DECELERATE.
TAKATA INFLATORS : I PICKED UP MY 2010 MERCURY MILAN AFTER BEING ADVISED OF THE RECALL AND WAS TOLD MY VEHICLE COULD NOT BE DRIVEN I RECEIVED A CALL TODAY AFTER 2 MONTHS STATING MY CAR WAS READY AS I ARRIVED TO THE DEALERSHIP I RETURNED THE RENTAL AND TRIED TO START MY OWN CAR AND COULD NOT THE VEHICLE WAS JUMPED AND I LEFT DEALER TURNED INTO TRAFFIC AND COULD NOT ACCELERATE AS THE CAR WAS SEIZED UP INTO 2ND GEAR THE BELTS HAVE POSSIBLE DRY ROT BRAKES HAVE CORROSION FROM THE CAR BEING STATIONARY ALL THE TIME WAITING ON PARTS. I RETURNED TO THE DEALER WHERE I WAS TOLD MANY CARS ARE HAVING NUMEROUS ISSUES AND THEY COULD NOT HELP ME AND I WAS THEN LEFT TO DRIVE MY UNSAFE VEHICLE HOME

SURGING WHILE DRIVING ON URBAN STREET, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, MECHANIC SAID CODE 2111 SHOWS. CODE INDICATES MALFUNCTIONING THROTTLE BODY.
PANEL LIGHT CAME ON,"SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW" WHILE DRIVING,HAD TOWED,RESET, DID THE SAME THE NEXT DAY WHILE DRIVING. REPLACED GEAR AND PINION, NEXT DAY THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED, ALMOST HAD A WRECK. CAR HAS 117,000 MILES.NO THE TRACTION LIGHT COME ON. HAD RESET ,SAME PROBLEM. I WAS DRIVING ON 495 TOWARD SILVER SPRING/GEORGIA AVE. AND THE CALL JUST LOSS ACCELERATION WITHOUT WARNING. THE ENGINE AND WRENCH LIGHTS ILLUMINATED ON THE DASH. THE CAR CRUISED AT ABOUT 5 MILES AN HOUR. AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION TO SAY THE LEAST. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE LANE AND HAD TO WORK MY WAY OVER TO THE SHOULDER. I'M TAKING THE CAR TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP ON 8/23/2016 FOR DIAGNOSIS. THERE APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN COMPLAINTS REPORTED TO NHTSA ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND THE CASE WAS CLOSED WITHOUT A RECALL. THIS HAS OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES NOW. I WILL BE DRIVING AND THE CAR WILL SUDDENLY STALL AND DECREASE IN SPEED. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL TIMES THAT I HAVE ALMOST BEEN HIT BY ANOTHER CAR AS WELL. I WENT TO FORD AND THEY TOLD ME MY THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, SO I DID THAT. APPROXIMATELY A YEAR LATER THE SAME THING STARTED TO OCCUR. I TOOK IT BACK AND THEY SAID THEY DID AN UPDATE, HOWEVER ABOUT TWO MONTHS LATER THE SAME ISSUE OCCURED. I TOOK IT BACK TO FORD BECAUSE I AM UNDER WARRANTY AND THEY KEPT MY CAR FOR 4 DAYS AND SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND THE ISSUE. ON 8/17/14, MY CAR STALLED SUDDENLY AFTER TRAVELING .5 MILE FROM HOME (AT APPROX. 20 MPH), SO I RETURNED TO MY HOUSE. I WAS MERGING ONTO A HIGHWAY GOING ABOUT 60 MPH. MY CAR SUDDENLY WENT INTO AN IDLE AND THE WRENCH ICON CAME ON IN THE INDICATOR DASH. LUCKILY, I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE SHOULDER AND NO VEHICLE WAS BEHIND ME. I TURNED OFF THE CAR AND WAS THEN ABLE TO ACCELERATE. RESEARCH SHOWS THAT SINCE 2004 FORD HAS KNOWN THAT THIS PROBLEM EXISTS AND THAT THE ENGINE DESIGN DEFAULT IS TO BRING THE CAR DOWN TO IDLE POWER. THROTTLE BODY FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. CAR IMMEDIATELY LOST POWER AND HAD NO ACCELERATOR RESPONSE AND WOULD ONLY IDLE. THE REAR RIGHT EXTERIOR LIGHT BURNED OUT. THERE ARE SUPPOSEDLY LED LIGHTS. DEALER NOTIFIED ME THAT THE COST OF THE PART WAS APPROXIMATELY $450.00 AND THAT DID NOT INCLUDE LABOR. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND FORD REFUSES TO PAY ANYTHING. THIS CAR IS A 2010 MERCURY MILAN. IT IS MY FIRST FORD PRODUCT. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MERCURY MILAN. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE DESPITE THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL BEING DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR INSPECTION. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY FAILED BUT DID NOT HAVE A CLEAR DIAGNOSIS HOW IT FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. WHILE TRAVELING AT 55MPH MY VEHICLE STALLED, LOST ALL POWER AND CAME TO A STOP AT THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. IT WAS RESTARTED SEVERAL TIMES EACH TIME WITH THE WRENCH SYMBOL ILLUMINATED. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A THROTTLE BODY ISSUE WHICH I WILL BE EXPLAINING TO THE TECH'S WHEN I BRING IT IN FOR REPAIR. WHILE DRIVING AROUND 60 MPH ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY THE CAR SUDDENLY WOULD NOT CONTINUE TO ACCELERATE AND I CAME TO A STOP. THIS WAS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND SHUT IT OFF. I TURNED IT BACK ON AND IT TOOK A FEW SECONDS TO START. I DROVE AWAY AGAIN ONLY TO HAVE THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPEN ABOUT A MILE DOWN THE ROAD. *TR
DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY THROUGH TOWN AND VEHICLE DIED MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET CAUSING ME TO NARROWLY AVOID AN ACCIDENT WITH MY THREE SMALL CHILDREN IN THE CAR.
