Abs control module defective per dealer diagnostics (110 bucks) , abs light on, brake light on, traction control light on , little car on downhill slope, safety issues are driving without brake control and steering, parts on back order alot of people flooding internet with same issue, as well as oil cooler, who puts plastic in the middle of a hot motor and thinks that wont break, that should have been a recall that was 1000 replacement now 1400 part replacement because it has to be done at dealer
Airbag Clock spring has failed in my 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The airbag dash light is now on and the whole steering wheel system no longer functions properly. I see there was a documented recall for this year/model. It’s not showing on my VIN. The clock spring has failed in my vehicle.
ABS Module/brake and traction light came on in 2021. Jeep dealership said ABS Module is on backorder. The Jeep at that time was still drivable. Now, May 2025, The ABS Module has caused so many items to fail that I can no longer drive it. It is currently at the dealership and they just called to say that the transmission and 0 mph is due to the ABS Module and it is still on backorder with no time frame for them to come in IF they do at all. How can this be legal? I can't drive it and I can't sell it! It is my only Car! It is dangerous to have this problem with no fix! What can I do?
Air bag light is on, no horn, traction light is on, can’t alert others bc no horn, air bag won’t deploy because clock spring is bad as well. Very scared to drive at times bc vehicle goes into limp mode. Recall on 2015 jeep wranglers with clock spring
Unknown But my concern is the clock spring recall. I would like that fixed I don't understand why I can't have it fixed under the recall for my Jeep Wrangler 2 door. I am worried that the air bag won't work... right now the horn and a few other controls on the steering wheel doesn't work. So I believe this vehicle is part of the recall.

WITH THE VEHICLE GOING 45 TO 50 MPH ON A PAVED ROAD. I HAVE WENT OVER A SMALL BUMP THE STEERING AND FRONT WHEELS STATED TO VIOLENTLY SHIMMY. WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED THE SHIMMY ACTUALLY GOT WORSE UNTIL THE SPEED DECREASED TO 5 MPH..
DEATH WOBBLE AT 45 MPH TURNING THE WHEEL
CRASHNO FIRENO INJURIES0 2015 JEEP WRANGLER 90000 MILES STARTED THE DEATH WOBBLE. CALLED DEALERSHIP AND THEY CLAIMED NOTHING WRONG. WE BROUGHT IT HOME AND FOUND THAT THE STEERING STABILIZER WAS HORRIBLY BUSTED. WE REPLACED THAT AND IT WORKED FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS, BUT APPARENTLY SOMETHING ELSE CAUSING THE PROBLEM. DEATH WOBBLE WILL HAPPEN WHEN HITTING A BUMP AROUND 45 MPH AND GET WORSE AT FASTER SPEEDS. IT WILL STOP WHEN YOU STOP VEHICLE AND START DRIVING AGAIN. THIS JEEP HAS NEVER BEEN OFF ROAD.
2015 JEEP WRANGLER 36,000 MILES STARTED THE DEATH WOBBLE CALLED DEALERSHIP TO HAVE OIL CHANGED THEY LOOKED IT OVER AND FOUND ONE OF THE AWAY BRACKETS WERE BUSTED. REPLACED THOSE PARTS( WE HAVE NEVER BEEN OFF ROAD) VIBRATION IN STEERING COLUMN AT ALL TIMES AND PERIODIC DEATH WOBBLE THAT WILL INCREASE ABOVE 45 MPH AND GET WORSE AT FASTER SPEED WILL STOP WHEN YOU STOP VEHICLE AND START DRIVING AGAIN
VEHICLE SHUTS DOWN COMPLETELY. THE INTERIOR STILL HAS POWER BUT THE POWER STEERING AND ENGINE STOPS. IT RESTARTS BUT ACT LIKE IT IS NOT GETTING ANY FUEL. IT RUNS FINE AFTER IT IS CRANKED UNTIL THE NEXT TIME IT HAPPENS. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS AS

OF COURSE, THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG. BROUGHT IT TO A LOCAL GARAGE THAT ENDED UP REPLACING THE STEERING DAMPER. NOW I SEE THERE IS A RECALL FOR 2018 AND 19 MODELS. CAN I GET A REFUND FROM JEEP?
I HAVE A 2015 JEEP RUBICON PURCHASED NEW FROM DEALER WITH OEM PARTS INCLUDING FACTORY TIRES. IT WAS ALWAYS A HARDER DRIVE BUT AFTER HITTING 14000 MILES THE TIRES STARTED THUMPING AROUND 40 MILES AN HOUR AND CONTINUED TO GET WORSE, ALONG WITH WOBBLING, SHAKING AND SLIPPING OVER BUMPS. I WAS TOLD THE TIRES NEEDED TO BE ROTATED EVERY 5000 MILES. I HAD THEM ROTATED BUT IT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. I TOOK IT IN AGAIN AS WELL AS TO A LOCAL MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC SAID IT WAS THE TIRES BUT THERE WAS ALSO SOME ISSUES WITH THE BEARINGS. ALL THIS AT 14000 MILES. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR A VEHICLE LESS THAN A YEAR OLD AND A PRICE TAG OF 42,000 DOLLARS. EVEN THOUGH THE TIRES HAD A LIFETIME WARRANTY THE UNEVEN TREAD AND WEAR WAS NOT COVERED. I ENDED UP HAVING A TO BUY A NEW TIRE AND...
THERE HAVE BEEN 1000S OF PEOPLE WHO DRIVE WRANGLERS COMPLAIN OF THE STEERING CLUNK WHEN DRIVING. WHEN THE JEEP WARMS UP AND THE SUSPENSION CYCLES YOU CAN FEEL A THUD IIN THE STEERING COLUMN SOMEWHERE. IT MAKES YOU FEEL VERY UNEASY AND SCARED NOT KNOWING WHEN THE STEERINT SHAFT WILL FINALLY GO. MOST PROBLEMS RESULT FROM THE LOWER AND UPPER INTERMEDIATE SHAFT BEING MADE FROM 2 SEPARATE METALS AND EXPANDING. JEEP LOCATED THESE NEAR THE MANIFOLD. THE REPLACEMENT PART IS ALWAYS ON BACKORDER SO JEEP MUST KNOW THERE'S ANPROBLEM SOMEWHERE.
STEERING WHEEL HORN ASSEMBLY. THIS UNIT TAKE AN UNUSUAL AMOUNT OF PRESSURE TO MAKE THE HORN SOUND. THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM SINCE THE CAR WAS NEW. IN ADDITION THE HORN ASSEMBLY VIBRATES WHEN TURNING. I HAVE TAKEN THIS CAR TO A ALAMOGORDO, NEW MEXICO DEALER AND GALVESTON , TEXAS DEALER TO HAVE THE PROBLEM INVESTIGATED. THEY TOLD ME THIS WAS NORMAL. THIS OCCURRED SINCE THE CAR WAS NEW AND CONTINUES TODAY AT 45,000 MILES. I AM CONCERNED SOMETHING IS FAULTY WITH THE HORN AND AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
BOUGHT MY JEEP JANUARY 2018, RIGHT AFTER PURCHASE I NOTICED THERE WAS A LOT OF PLAY IN THE STEERING WHEEL. ALSO WHILE DRIVING THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT WOULD COME ON AND ACTIVATE. CAUSING ME TO NOT BE ABLE TO STOP OR CAUSING MY SPEED TO SLOW DRAMATICALLY. TOOK MY JEEP TO THE DEALER TODAY TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT AND OIL CHANGED. TURNS OUT MY VEHICLE HAS TO HAVE THE BOX AND STEERING ARM REPLACED WHICH IS A $1400 FIX! WAS TOLD AT THE DEALER THAT IT WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. WHILE LOOKING ONLINE TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE I CAME ACROSS SOME REVIEWS WITH ALL THE SAME PROBLEMS. SEEMS I WAS THE LUCKY ONE AND WASN'T IN AN ACCIDENT LIKE MOST OF THE OTHERS.
I BOUGHT MY JEEP USED WITH APPROX. 22,000 MILES ON IT ON JANUARY 1,2017. I HAD BEGAN SMELLING BURNING FROM UNDER THE JEEP. WITH A OIL CHANGE THE MAN STATED THAT IT WAS LEAKING FROM THE FRONT AND REAR AXIL ASSEMBLY. I CALLED THE DEALER AND EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM AND MADE A APPOINTMENT. I HAD APPROX. 35000 MILES ON THE JEEP. I WAS TOLD AFTER PICKING UP MY JEEP BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE LEAKS WERE FIXED. IN ABOUT A 2 WEEKS I COULD STILL SMELL BURNING. I THOUGHT IT MAY BE RESIDUAL FROM BEING FIXED. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I CALLED TO MAKE APPOINTMENT. I HAD CHECKED THE TIRE PRESSURE AND THE TIRES FOR ANY ISSUES. I TOLD SERVICE THAT THE JEEP BECAME ROUGHER TO DRIVE AND HARDER TO STEER, 2 WEEKS AFTER THAT I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE, HIT A BUMP AND THE STEERING...
MY 2015 JEEP WRANGLER SAHARA UNLIMITED HAS DEVELOPED THE "DEATH WOBBLE" AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. IT WILL BEGIN TO VIOLENTLY SHAKE AFTER HITTING ANY SMALL BUMP ON THE ROADWAY AT SPEEDS RANGING FROM 50 MPH TO 70 MPH*. SHAKING IS SO BAD THAT I HAVE TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AS FAST AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE ITS VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL WHILE IT SHAKES. * I ONLY SAID AT SPEEDS UP TO 70 MPH BECAUSE THAT'S THE FASTEST SPEED LIMIT WHERE I LIVE. I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT IT WILL DO IT MORE VIOLENTLY AT HIGHER SPEEDS.
TRACTION CONTROL FEATURE JUST COMES ON SUDDENLY WHILE DRIVER FORWARD OR TUNING A CORNER AT RANDOM TIMES CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SLOW DOWN IMMENSELY FOR NO REASON. MAY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT IF NOT CORRECTED. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON DRY PAVEMENT MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WITHOUT WARNING OR REASON.
AT 11600 MILES, THE FRONT TIRES ON THE VEHICLE ARE SEVERELY CUPPED AND CHOPPED ON THE INSIDE DRIVING SURFACE. THE VEHICLE HAS HAD POOR HANDLING SINCE DELIVERY. AT 2400 MILES, THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED FOR POOR HANDLING, WANDERING, TIRE OSCILLATION AT HIGHWAY SPEED. THE DEALER DID "STEERING REPAIRS" AND RETURNED THE VEHICLE. AT 11500 MILES THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALER FOR IDENTICAL HANDLING AND STEERING PROBLEMS. THE DEALER REPORTED THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH THE SUSPENSION AND ROTATED THE TIRES. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED, AND DRIVEN AT 30+ MILES PER HOUR, THERE WAS A TERRIBLE HOWL COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE, AND THE STEERING PROBLEMS PERSISTED. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER, THE TIRE DAMAGE WAS REVEALED TO THE OWNER, AND THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THESE PARTICULAR TIRES NEED TO BE ROTATED EVERY 2500 MILES OR THIS DAMAGE WILL OCCUR. THE DEALER,...
I WAS LUCKY I WAS PARKING THE JEEP WHEN THE SECTOR SHAFT BROKE AND THE STEERING GEAR LINK FELL OFF. UNDER OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES THIS COULD HAVE ENDED IN A MAJOR ACCIDENT. AND IF A DEADLY ACCIDENT OCCURRED, THE INSPECTION REPORT MOST LIKELY WOULD HAVE BLAMED THE COLLISION FOR THE BROKEN SHAFT AND CHRYSLER WOULD HAVE BEEN EXONERATED OF ANY RESPONSIBILTY. MY JEEP HAPPENED TO BE A DEADLY TRAP BECAUSE OF POOR MATERIALS USED IN THE MANUFACTURE OF THE VEHICLE. WHERE IS THE LIABILITY, AND ACCOUNTABILITY OF JEEP? NOTHING! THEY WON'T EVEN PAY FOR THE DAMNED SHAFT TO BE REPLACED. AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS WE NOTICED WATER ALL ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AFTER RAINING. I ASKED THE SALESMAN ABOUT THE LEAKS AND HE STATED ALL JEEPS DO THAT. .CARPETS CONTINUED TO GET SOAKED AND CANNOT SEE WHERE IT IS LEAKING SO I ASKED THE MAINTENANCE TECH AFTER OUR FIRST OIL CHANGE AND I WAS TOLD TO PULL THE PLUG UNDER THE CARPET AND DRAIN THE WATER..I AGAIN WAS TOLD IT WAS NORMAL FOR A JEEP TO LEAK..APPROX MARCH 2016 THE WIFE WAS FED UP WITH THE WATER POURING IN AND THE SMELL OF MILDEW OF THE CARPET DUE TO LEAKAGE. SHE WENT TO THE DEALER AND COMPLAINED . SHE WAS TOLD WE HAD TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WHICH WOULD BE BEYOND A MONTH AND THEY WOULD KEEP IT FOR A SPELL . NO RENTAL OR LOANER...I WORK OUT OF TOWN AND GETTING IT IN ON APPOINTMENT...
MY JEEP HAS 15000 MILES AND FOR THE PAST YEAR I HAS BEEN SUFFERING WHAT IS CALL THE "DEATH WOBBLE". THE CAR ALL THE SUDDEN WILL START SHAKING UNCONTROLLABLE MAKING IT VERY HARD TO CONTROL THE STEERING. I TOOK IT TO WESTGATE JEEP SERVICE IN RALEIGH NC. THEY SAID NOTHING IS WRONG WITH IT BUT IT KEEPS DOING IT. I'M TAKING BACK THIS WEEK. THE DEATH WOBBLE STARTS WHEN I GO OVER AN EVEN SECTION OF THE ROAD AND USUALLY AT A SPEED OVER 60 MPH. THE ONLY WAY IT STOPS IS BRINGING THE SPEED TO ALMOST 30 MPH MAKING VERY DANGEROUS IN THE HIGHWAY
BETWEEN THE DATES OF 3/20 AND 8/1 MY 2015 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED (4DR, 4X4) HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING INTERMITTENT CEL P0340 WHILE PULLING A GRADE. WHEN THE CEL OCCUR THE VEHICLE LOSES SIGNIFICANT POWER AND IS UNABLE TO MAINTAIN SPEED. THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM LIGHTS COME ON INDICATING AN ERROR. DURING THIS TIME THE VEHICLE WILL NOT ACCELERATE TO A SAFE SPEED AND THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEMS ARE NOT FUNCTIONING. THE VEHICLE WILL RETURN TO NORMAL OPERATION AFTER TURNING THE KEY TO OFF THEN BACK ON. IF THIS IS DONE WHILE MOVING INTERMITTENTLY THE CAR'S SECURITY SYSTEM WILL ENGAGE AND THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START BACK UP. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE FOR WARRANTY REPAIR 5 TIMES WITH THIS ISSUE. EACH TIME THE PROBLEM IS SAID TO BE RESOLVED, BUT OCCURS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY.
6-SPEED MANUAL: WHILE STOPPED AT LIGHTS, CROSSING INTERSECTIONS, AND NORMAL DRIVING ON ROADS, DAY/NIGHT AND WARM/COLD, ENGINE STOPS FOR 2-10 SECONDS. IT HAS STOPPED WHEN PASSING OTHER VEHICLES REQUIRING FULL BREAK APPLICATION TO AVOID ONCOMING TRAFFIC. IN INTERSECTIONS AND WHEN THE CLUTCH WAS PUSHED IN TO HELP COAST THROUGH INTERSECTION, THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING TO HELP TURN THE WHEELS! THE DEALERSHIPS INSIST THAT THERE IS NO PROBLEM AND ENGINE COULD NOT CUT OUT WHILE DRIVING? THIS ENGINE PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED AT LEAST 30-40 TIMES.
I RECENTLY PURCHASED A NEW JEEP RUBICON UNLIMITED AND HAD THE DEALER INSTALL A MOPAR 4 INCH FACTORY APPROVED LIFT KIT. THE KIT HAS A LOT OF ISSUES WITH IT AND NOT A WHOLE LOT OF ANSWERS TO FIX THEM. I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE WITH MY 13 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL STARTED TO SHAKE UNCONTROLLABLY AND WE HEADED INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I WAS ABLE TO GET CONTROL OF THE JEEP ONLY BY SLAMMING ON THE BRAKES AND TURNING AWAY FROM THE ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN VERY HELPFUL WITH TRYING TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS BUT THEY ARE NOW SAYING THIS IS A MOPAR PARTS ISSUE AND THEY ARE IN A HOLDING PATTERN UNTIL THEY CAN GET SOME ANSWERS. I CALLED MOPAR AND THEY SAID IT IS THE DEALERS RESPONSIBILITY AND CHRYSLER HAS THE FINAL SAY ABOUT THE REPAIR PROCESS. THE JEEP...
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH OVER A POTHOLE, THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE STEERING WHEEL VEERED TO THE RIGHT AND SEIZED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE.
