The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle started to hesitate. The contact pulled over to the far right of the roadway. The contact then turned off the vehicle and while attempting to restart the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start-up. The contact had the vehicle towed to a certified mechanic who diagnosed that the starter had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that while attempting to run the starter, the vehicle made a clunking sound and it was confirmed that the engine also failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 13V234000 (Steering, Power Train) as a possible solution to the failure however, the VIN nor the model year was included.
