The contact stated that while performing routine maintenance on the vehicle, he moved the wires located near the engine compartment and the wire coating crumbled. There were no warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was contacted but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a case.
