EVAP CONTROL SYSTEM FAULT UNABLE TO BLEED UP FUEL TANK VACUUM. POOR QUALITY PAINT AND INTERIOR.
I purchased this car April 1 2025 the car drove fine up until this past week I got in the car it had a very long crank but started and it acted as if it wasn't getting fuel. So I shut it off waited and started it back it seemed OK I went and purchased some fuel cleaner and gas it straightened out then today it done the exact same thing except it stalled on me 3 times and the last stall almost caused a wreck I was able to get it started and drove back home too scared to drove it so I started looking up problems online and seen several issues like mine that other people had and they were related to previous recalls.
Everytime I get gas the car has a hard time starting and most times after it starts it shuts down due to low idling after startup
There is a defeat in my Ford catalytic converter. I would like I sent the part to the NHTSA.DOT.GOV for research. I am attaching pictures of the defective product.
I’m not having any success with my local Ford Dealership or with Ford Customer Service getting my car covered under the Customer Satisfaction Program. I have fuel system issues, I need to replace both cats and 2 bad sensors, halfshaft, fuel system, and braking issues. The dealership said to contact Ford and Ford says it’s the dealership’s problem. If they don’t fix it, I’m done with Ford. If they can’t stand behind their products and their dealerships won’t help the customers, then my loyalty is done. I’ve already had to replace a poorly designed PTU at my expense and now this, buyer beware on Interceptors. Let’s hope I don’t have any other issues. No one seems to be willing to help and I’m beyond frustrated with this experience.
For the last 3 days there has been a gas smell in the garage. We have driven it 2 times. 3 days ago at 17 below and yesterday at 30 below. Cannot find any leaks. Gas tank is a little over 1/2 full.
Please allow submission of additional information regarding issues with my 2013 Ford Taurus Police Interceptor. As stated on the previous complaint filed on 1/9/2024, I got my car service at AutoNation Ford Service Center on 12/16/2023, and I brought it back to the service center on Saturday, 12/23/2023 because of the car’s poor performance and engine had laminated on 12/17/2023. Issues such as: exhaust system, fuel system, the driver exterior door handle is loose, and seat belt gets jammed.
I have a check engine light on my dash. I have several codes. I have problems with the car like the fuel pump, catalytic converter not functioning efficiently, steering, etc. I know Ford has problems with its cars.
Check Fuel Fil Inlet service warning. Capless gas and no issues but only getting 13 mpg
The car stalled out on the highway requiring to pull off the road, shut off, and then restart multiple times. The check engine light indicated fuel system pressure is low. There are known complaints of the fuel delivery system failing intermittently in the 2013 Taurus.
On 7/31/2022, and also about a month ago, my 2013 Ford Taurus Limited stalled out while driving and the wrench light came on. The car limped along until I could pull it over, but this could have been serious as I was on the highway doing 65mph just 2 minutes prior to it. It stalled coming up the upramp here in Phoenix. I got it into the parking lot, and gave it gas and nothing at all, the engine just sputtered as the wrench light was on. I turned it off for 2 minutes, and restarted and able to get home 4 minutes away. This is the 2nd time this has now happened, and this is a huge safety concern. Ford Taurus had recalls on the Powertrain Control Module for other years of the Taurus, but I do not want to pay for this fix as this is a Ford...
The car is stopping when at idle and at times will loose full power when driving down the road. We have replaced the mass air flow sensor, cleaned the mass flow uptake, and replaced the fuel pump driver module. We bought this vehicle from Turnpike Ford in Huntington. The 3rd party warranty showing on my loan agreement was bumper to bumper 7 years or 72,000 miles however the warranty paper stated 3 years or 36,000 miles. We have tried working with Todd Judy but they refuse to honor the warranty so my car has not been able to be repaired. They advised me I needed a new motor and transmission. We need this issue resolved it’s a high risk for us when driving the vehicle and these repairs should not be coming out of our pocket.
Rear toe links loose makes my car feel like I don’t have control when steering. Took the car in for repair they had to be replaced.

I HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY FUEL INJECTION FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS LOOKED IT UP AND EVEN TOOK IT TO 3 DEALERSHIPS AND A FULL SERVICES PLACE ALL SAYING THE SAME THING. SO I LOOKED IT UP AND THERE WAS A RECALL FOR IT AND SEATBELTS AND AIRBAGS BUT MY VIN# WASN'T ON THE LIST. EVERYONE I KNOW WHO GOT A CAR LIKE MINES HAD THE RECALL AND WAS FIXED. I AM NOW PAYING OUT OF POCKET FOR THE AIRBAGS AND MY RADIO AND BACK CAM NOW IS ACTING CRAZY SHOW UPSIDE DOWN AND THE RADIO KEEP GOING OUT. MY ENGINE LIGHT IS CAME ON. AT FIRST IT WAS READING THAT MY FUEL PUMP WAS GOING BAD. I'VE RECENTLY REPLACED MY FUEL PUMP AND NOW MY ENGINE LIGHT IS BACK ON AND ITS READING TWO DIFFERENT CODES. ONE IS A LEAK WITH MY GAS CAP. THE OTHER ONE IS ELETRICAL. MY CAR HAS CUT OFF ME AS IF I'VE RAN OUT OF GAS AND I WASN'T REALLY OUT OF GAS. WHEN I HAVE SOMEONE COME AND BRING ME GAS IN A GAS CAN, WHILE POURING THE GAS IN ITS LEAKING RIGHT OUT AS IF MY THING ISNT CONNECTED OR I HAD A LINE THATS CUT. MY GAS METER ISNT WORKING PROPERLU EITHER AND WHEN I PUT MY CAR IN REVERSE ALL OF MY LIGHTS TURN ON AND WHEN I PUT IT IN DRIVE THEY CUT OFF. MY STEREO FREEZES AND CUTS ON AND OFF.

THE CAR WILL STALL WHILE DRIVING OR IN PARK. WE HAVE PUT 2 NEW FUEL PUMP MODULES IN IT AND NOW IT IS DOING AGAIN, NEEDING A THIRD REPLACEMENT. IT HAS 111,000 MILES ON IT AND THE LAST ONE WAS PUT ON JUST 6 MONTHS AGO. THERE IS A RECALL FOR 2013 TAURUS FOR THE FUEL PUMP BUT IT DOESN'T SHOW MY VIN AS BEING COVERED BY THE RECALL. THIS IS DANGEROUS. IT JUST SHUTS OFF THE ENGINE WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING. I HAVE SEEN OTHER COMPLAINTS THAT ARE EXACTLY THE SAME ISSUE. IT HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING AND PARKED AT ANY RATE OF SPEED.

VEHICLE BROUGHT IN FOR NON START ISSUE. FUEL DRIVER MODULE REPLACED ON 06/25/20. NOW MY SYNC IS INOPERABLE AFTER FUEL PUMP REPAIR.

2013 TAURUS LIMITED WITH 71,300 MILES WOULD RANDOMLY STALL ONLY LIKE 3 TIMES THOUGH. I WOULD HAVE TO RESTART IT TO CONTINUE ON. BUT ON 3/3/20, I WAS WAS READY TO LEAVE WORK AND MY TAURUS WOULD CHURN BUT NOT START. THE LIGHT PANEL AND HEADLIGHTS CAME ON AND THE BATTERY WAS NOT DEAD. I HAD TO LEAVE IT IN THE PARKING LOT OVERNIGHT. THE NEXT DAY I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO A FORD DEALERSHIP. I HAD DONE THE RESEARCH SO I KNEW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS SO I LET THE DEALERSHIP KNOW. SURE ENOUGH, THE FUEL PUMP MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT MY EXPENSE OF $341.
PURCHASED A USE 2013 POLICE INTERCEPTOR. DROVE TO STORE, CAR WON'T START, SAT FOR A WHILE IT STARTED, DROVE HOME AND PARKED IT. NOT THE FIRST TIME VEHICLE ENGINE STALLS OUT, ENGINE CUTS OUT, WON'T START. IS THERE A RECALL ON FUEL SYSTEM? CAN FORD REMEDY THE SITUATION OR HAS IT BEEN FIXED ALREADY?

THE 2013 FORD TAURUS WAS STALLING INTERMITTENTLY AND TAKEN TO THE GARAGE WHERE THE DIAGNOSTIC CODE SHOWING UP WAS P0627, WHICH POINTS TO A FUEL PUMP MODULE FAILURE HAD OCCURRED. THIS SEEMS LIKE THE SAME ISSUE AS SHOWN IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V621000 BUT DID NOT INCLUDE MY 2013 TAURUS AND SEEMS THAT IT SHOULD HAVE. SUMMARY FROM NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 16V621000: FORD MOTOR COMPANY (FORD) IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2013-2015 FORD TAURUS, FORD FLEX, LINCOLN MKS AND LINCOLN MKT VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 3.5L GTDI ECOBOOST ENGINES AND 2013-2015 FORD TAURUS POLICE INTERCEPTOR VEHICLES. A COMPONENT WITHIN THE FUEL PUMP ELECTRIC MODULE (PEM) MAY OVERHEAT CAUSING A LOSS OF ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE FUEL PUMP. FORD RECALL NUMBER FOR THIS WAS 16S31.
WE WERE RIDING DOWN A MAIN ROAD GOING AT ABOUT 45 MILES AN HOUR WHEN WE LOST POWER AND THE CAR BEGAN COASTING BUT HAD THE FOOT ON THE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR, WE PULLED OVER WHEN WE COULD GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TURNED THE CAR OFF, STARTED BACK UP BUT HAPPENED AGAIN SO WE PULLED INTO AN AUTO ZONE AND THEY PUT IT ON MACHINE THAT SHOWED WE HAD VERY LITTLE POWER. WE TOWED IT THE NEXT DAY TO A MECHANIC AND HE SAID IT WAS THE THROTTLE BODY UNIT. WE WERE ALMOST HIT SEVERAL TIMES BECAUSE OF THE WAY THE CAR WAS ACTING.
CAR CRANKS BUT WILL NOT START. REPLACE FUEL CONTROL 5 TIMES BUT WHEN REPLACED THIS LAST TIME IT WILL NOT START. IT WOULD DIE IN TRAFFIC AND I WOULD HAVE TO TRY AND GET TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD TO GET IT STARTED AGAIN. POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILED INDICATOR LIGHT COMES ON AND I HAVE NO POWER STEERING. I'M VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS CAR. BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW AND HAVE TALKED WITH FORD MOTOR COMPANY BUT THEY SAY MINE IS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL. 111,000 MILES. HELP ME PLEASE! FUEL CONTROL MODULE WENT OUT FIRST TIME IN 2017 AND THIS MONTH WHICH IS OCTOBER MAKES 5 TIMES REPLACING IT.
WHILE DRIVING ON STATE HIGHWAY, MY VEHICLE STARTED LOSING POWER AND ACCELERATION. MY SPEED WAS BETWEEN 55-65MPH AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT OVERHEATING. THE ENGINE STARTED SHAKING AND MAKING NOISES AS WELL. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE ABOUT ANOTHER MILE BEFORE THE VEHICLE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. WHILE SITTING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AT NIGHT WITH MY KIDS, THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO SHAKE AND HAD THE TOOL SYMBOL LIGHT ON. WHEN I TRIED TO ACCELERATE, THE ENGINE WOULD SHAKE MORE AND SPUTTER. I LOOKED AT THE ENGINE AND COULD SEE IT SHAKING WITH NO OBVIOUS FLUID LEAKS. AFTER TURNING THE VEHICLE OFF AND SITTING FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES, I WAS ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE AND DRIVE HOME. IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYTHING IS BACK TO NORMAL BUT I WILL BE CONTACTING MY FORD DEALERSHIP IN THE MORNING TO CHECK IT.
THE LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT GOES OFF EVERY 5 MINUTES. THE CAR UNEXPECTEDLY TURNS OFF AND WON'T START. IT ACTS LIKE IT IS OUT OF FUEL.
FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE FAILURE. VEHICLE STALLED IN TRAFFIC. NO WARNING. WOULD NOT RESTART. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS SAME ISSUE, BUT MY SPECIFIC VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED.

THE CONTACT CALLED PAUL CERAME FORD (11400 NEW HALLS FERRY ROAD, FLORISSANT, MO 63033, (314) 838-2400) AND INFORMED THEM OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V621000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 112,000. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
VEHICLE OCCASIONALLY WOULD STALL AT INTERSECTIONS OR TRAFFIC LIGHTS; EVENTUALLY THE CAR WOULD NOT RESTART AT ALL. I HAD TOWED TO FORD DEALER IN KNOXVILLE TN WHERE THEY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS THE FUEL PUMP, WHICH THEY HAVE REPLACED AT $905 PLUS TAX. I READ FOR RECALLS AND CAME ACROSS 16V621000 WHICH COMPLETELY DESCRIBES MY CAR'S PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE HAS ONLY DONE 125,000 MILES. A FUEL PUMP SHOULD NOT HAVE ISSUES WITH MILEAGE. PLEASE CAN YOU HELP ME OBTAIN REIMBURSEMENT. IN TWO OCCASIONS A CAR NEARLY HIT ME FROM BEHIND AS I WAS STALLED.
I SEE THAT MY CAR HAS SEVERAL RECALLS FOR FUEL MODULE ISSUES. MY CAR RECENTLY STARTED LEAKING GAS AND THE GAS HAND HAS SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING. ACCORDING TO MY VIN THE ONLY RECALL IS MY DOOR HANDLES BUT I THINK THAT MY GAS ISSUES ARE APART OF THE RECALL THAT CNN SPOKE ABOUT. THERE ARE ALSO WEIRD ISSUES WITH THE AXEL OR SUSPENSION THAT SEEM TO BE APART OF THE RECALLS FOR THIS YEAR. I'M HOPING I CAN FIND OUT IF MY VEHICLE IS APART OF THESE RECALLS AND THAT IT CAN BE REPAIRED BECAUSE IT IS NOT SAFE. THE AC AND HEAT ALSO HAVE MAJOR ISSUES THAT NOBODY CAN SEEM TO FIX I BELIEVE IT'S AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE.

RICHMOND FORD LINCOLN (4600 W BROAD ST, RICHMOND, VA 23230) WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V621000 (FUEL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO CONTACTED AND MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,251.
I HAVE THE EXACT PROBLEM THAT IS DESCRIBED BY THE RECALL BUT MY VIN NUMBER ISN'T PART OF THE RECALL. THIS CAN'T BE RIGHT AND I HAVE PAID THROUGH THE NOSE TO FIX WHAT OTHER PEOPLE GOT FOR FREE.
I WENT TO MALL CAME OUT AND CAR WOULD NOT START. TOWED TO WEBB FORD NEXT DAY AND MECHANIC SAID FUEL PUMP ELECTRIC MODULE (PEM) OVERHEATED CAUSING LOSS OF POWER TO FUEL PUMP. A LOSS OF POWER TO THE FUEL PUMP WILL CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STALL OR PREVENT THE VEHICLE FROM STARTING, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. COST TO FIX WAS 400.00.

LAGRANGE RD, COUNTRYSIDE, IL) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL CONTROL MODULE WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MODULE WAS REPLACED AND THE FAILURE WAS REMEDIED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.

I CALLED FORD, BUT THE LADY TOLD ME THEY ARE NOT TECHNICIANS AT THE CALL CENTER SO THEY CAN'T ASSIST; EVEN AFTER I TOLD THEM THAT I TOOK THE CAR TO A FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEIR SCANNING DIDN'T REVEAL ANYTHING. THE ISSUES HAPPENS 5 TIMES OVER TWO MONTHS.

CAR STALLS AND CUTS OFF WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING. IT LOSES ALL POWER AND SHUTS DOWN.IT HAS HAPPENED SERVERAL TIMES PERIODICAL ON A CITY STREET AS WELL AS ON THE HIGHWAY WHILE CAR IS IN MOTION.THERE IS ALSO A PROBLEM WITH SMELLING GAS FUMES INSIDE THE CAR WHEN THIS HAPPENS.
THE DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LOCKS DO NOT WORK WITH THE KEY FOB. AT TIMES THEY APPEAR TO BE LOCKED, BUT ARE NOT. THIS OCCURRED AFTER A RECALL WHERE THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES WERE REPLACED. IT DID NOT DO IT AT THE DEALERSHIP SO IT COULD NOT BE FIXED UNDER WARRANTY. NOW MY CAR WILL NOT START. IT STARTED, THEN DIED AND IT CRANKS, BUT DOES NOT START. EVENTUALLY THE BATTERY DIES. IT ACTS LIKE IT IS NOT GETTING FUEL. THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACE (13S04) IN JULY OF 2014. THERE IS A RECALL OF THE FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE (16S31) FOR CARS 201301015, BUT MINE IS NOT ONE OF THEM. IT SHOULD BE!
VEHICLE QUIT ACCELERATING WHILE DRIVING DOWN A PAVED 45 MPH ROAD, WRENCH SYMBOL APPEARED ON THE DASH AND ENGINE RAN ROUGH. ACCORDING TO THE OWNERS MANUAL THE WRENCH SYMBOL INDICATES THAT THE VEHICLE WENT INTO REDUCED POWER MODE. HAD IT TOWED TO THE SHOP AND IT STARTED AND RAN NORMAL FOR HIM. THERE WERE NO ACTIVE, PENDING,OR MEMORY CODES IN THE COMPUTER SYSTEM. IT WAS DRIVEN 50 MILES WITH NO OTHER PROBLEM OCCURRING DURING THE TEST DRIVES. THERE ARE NO RECALLS ON THIS VEHICLE FOR THIS VERY DANGEROUS CONDITION EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE MANY DOCUMENTED CASES OF THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM.
